7281  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin exchange Coinbase launches the Dow Jones Index of cryptocurrencies on: March 07, 2018, 12:32:17 PM
I don't like the idea, because people will start investing in the Index, but if it have mid-cap coins, it will be too easy to manipulate.

IMO Indexes must stay out of crypto-currencies.

They aren`t talking about people, they are talking about "accredited U.S. investors",which means institutional investors,i guess. It`s just another way for Coinbase to find investors, who will fund their future projects.
First, there were bitcoin futures contracts trading ,and now a crypto index. It looks like cryptocurrency trading will become similar to Wall Street stock trading. Grin
7282  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-07]Russian IT Company Mail.Ru Opens Up Crypto Payments For Advertising on: March 07, 2018, 12:20:24 PM
It`s good to hear that such a big company in a big market like Russia is going to accept cryptocurrency payments.OP,you forgot to mention which cryptocurrencies will be accepted.I`m sure that bitcoin won`t be one of them, due to the high fees and slow confirmation time.Let`s hope that this good news will boost the prcies of some of the major altcoins, like ethereum and monero.
7283  Economy / Economics / Re: What does that mean for the average investors? on: March 07, 2018, 07:23:01 AM
Well you know it's bare luck everyone knows that but we can make ourselves more lucky by ... Learning about the news every single day..
By seeing what's happening all over the world regarding cryptos and most of the times.. you can predict the price very correctly.
You need general knowledge nothing else.!

I agree, but what about fake news? The internet is full of fake news and FUD about cryptocurrencies.
Some news blogs post news that South Korea is ready to ban crypto, and after 24 hours, other news platforms post news that South Korea won`t ban crypto.Reading the news won`t work for the average investor.
The right strategy is 40% technical and fundamental analysis,30% reading the news from trusted sources and 30% luck.
7284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make-or-Break Level? Bitcoin Pauses at Key Resistance on: March 07, 2018, 07:17:05 AM
I don`t want to rely solely on technical analysis and I don`t think that btc will break higher towards 17K USD soon. There`s no "make-or-break" level, the price will continue to move between 10K and 11K USD and this is good actually.I`m tired of the high btc volatility, that we were facing during the past few months.
We need a more stable btc price, all the gamblers should buy more altcoins and tokens. Smiley
7285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin is worthless on: March 06, 2018, 11:58:18 AM
I just stumbled upon this article that The Guardian published today, I think it's the best ever written on bitcoin, really good sum-up about blockchain and bitcoin: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/mar/05/bitcoin-is-based-on-the-blockchain-pipe-dream

OP,if you want to post news article links, this thread should be moved to the "Press" forum shild board.
I don`t even want to read this article.I hate leftist liberal newspapers like The Guardian.Anyway, the people should understand the difference between "worthless" and "not very usefull".
Is bitcoin worthelss?Off course not,if there are people ,who want to buy btc, then bitcoin has value.
Is bitcoin usefull enough?I would say no.Not anymore.
7286  Economy / Economics / Re: Top 5 Tips For New Bitcoin Investors on: March 06, 2018, 11:51:39 AM
If you want to give tips and tricks to new cryptocurrency investors,it would be more effective if you post this on your own cryptocurrency blog, make a Youtube video or start a social media account about this topic.
Posting a thread like this here is pointless, because most of the newbie investors don`t read this forum.
My tip for the newbies is the golden rule-Don`t trust anyone.Even the big and trusted traders.
7287  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have an idea, now what? on: March 06, 2018, 06:55:54 AM
Ok so I have just thought of a good idea for a crypto startup, I am not going to get into detail because I have just thought of it and would rather keep this idea to myself but where do I go from here? The idea involves creating a new blockchain and allowing users to create their own tokens with ease similar to ethereum erc-20 tokens but of course for an entirely different purpose. Do I need to get this copyrighted so that no one can take or copy my idea before I even start. I don't have money or time to hire lawyers and go through vigorous legalities so can I just get started? And what should I do and how should I do it to get started. I don't know how to code cryptocurrencies but I plan to learn.

You want to create a brand new blockchain, but you don`t know how to code?
Perhaps it would be better to fork some existing blockchain, instead of creating a brand new from scratch.
Such project would require a few million dollars and a big team of developers and marketers.
You will have to launch an ICO,but this is very expensive nowadays.
I`m not sure that you will be able to patent your idea.A US patent costs around 60,000 USD.
Where are you from?
7288  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-05] US Marshals to Sell $25 Million in Bitcoin at Auction on: March 06, 2018, 06:48:51 AM
A 200,000 USD deposit looks pretty high to me.Only the big whales will be allowed to participate. This is kinda unfair.I`m still confused about the way US authorities look at bitcoin. They don`t consider it as a currency, but at the same time they sell all the confiscated btc.If they think that btc is not a currency nore an accet,it would be better to destroy those bitcoins. This will reduce the global btc supply and push the bitcoin price up.
7289  Economy / Scam Accusations / Delete... on: February 20, 2018, 01:01:46 PM
All the members participating in the GRAFT signature campaign are not paid for the last 3 weeks of the campaign. We are still waiting for the user graft-project to pay,but there`s no reply from him.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2443267.0

I will delete this thread,if all the members of the GRAFT signature campaign receive their remaining btc and token payments.

Update: The payments have been sent so i will lock this thread.
7290  Economy / Services / Re: GRAFT - Credit Card and Crypto Payment Processing Network | Signature & Avatar Campaign | [CFNP] on: February 13, 2018, 12:25:48 PM
Actually the user "graft-project" is active on the forum. He made a post on Feb 10, promoting the GRAFT ICO on the Alternate cryptocurrencies forum board. It`s strange that he has time to promote the ICO,but he is "very busy" and don`t have any time to post an update here or just send the delayed payments.
7291  Economy / Services / Re: GRAFT - Credit Card and Crypto Payment Processing Network | Signature & Avatar Campaign | [CFNP] on: February 10, 2018, 06:30:53 AM
Guys, I'm updating the sheets regularly but as I said before "graft-project" maybe quite busy with the ongoing ICO. We should give some time to him and hopefully all payments will be done after ICO finishes atlast if not early.

No open slot for any rank for next round.

The GRAFT ICO will end on Feb 18.I guess that there won`t be another week for this sig campaign.
We just have to wait for one week. Sad
I will wait for a few days and,if there are no payments,i will send a PM to the GRAFT marketing director via Linkedin.
7292  Economy / Speculation / Re: ALL ABOARD on: February 06, 2018, 12:49:50 PM
TA:
We seem to be starting a positive channel. Whales stepping in again.
Some good volume going on.
Bad news is fading out. Bans aren't real (as we already knew).
Killer drop got rid of the weak hands.

I don`t see any whales "stepping in again".Perhaps the whales are acting like "bears".They are selling and waiting to buy cheap btc.The small traders and all the newbies are going to lose a lot of their hard earned money+their faith in cryptocurrencies.I still have some faith that bitcoin is going to recover at the end of 2018.The bad thing is that all the people claiming that bitcoin is a bubble are right, and now they say "I TOLD YOU SO!"  Sad
7293  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-06] Bitcoin price falls below $6,000 as banker signals crackdown on: February 06, 2018, 12:42:56 PM
"Facebook banned bitcoin and cryptocurrency adverts..."This makes me laugh.
The idiots think that bitcoin and altcoins are something like a digital product and they can be "advertised" via Facebook ads.Anyway,it looks like the crypto community is losing the war against central bankers, governments, haters and FUD.I was expecting this, but during the last three months of 2017,i had some false expectations that the world will embrace and adopt cryptocurrencies. Sad
I`m waiting for the BTC futures trading ban.
7294  Economy / Services / Re: GRAFT - Credit Card and Crypto Payment Processing Network | Signature & Avatar Campaign | [OPEN] on: February 06, 2018, 06:51:00 AM
I have a question.
What if the bitcoin price decreases under 8K USD ,or even under 5-6K USD?
Will graft project adjust the weekly payments?
Thanks.

The bitcoin price is around 6K USD and still no answer.

Edwardard, I am missing some GRF payments. Is it the same for anyone else?

OP,read the previous posts before posting.Just send a PM to graft-project about the missing token payments.
7295  Economy / Economics / Re: Not only the BItcoin, the cash is all over the markets in the world. on: February 06, 2018, 06:45:27 AM
"The crash" or "the cash"?You should edit your title,OP.
This global market crash proves that bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies are not a safe heaven for the investors.
I`m pretty sure that all the traders and investors will sell all the risky assets they have(like bitcoin and altcoins)and they will start buying gold.I`m wondering what factors influence this crash. The US economy is growing. There isn`t any major crysis in Europe or China.Maybe somebody will come up with a brand new conspiracy theory. Grin
7296  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to Crash further till 1000$? on: February 06, 2018, 06:39:54 AM
It's crashing real hard. Dropped 40% in a week! Maybe another 40% drop in this weekend! It's seems like it is falling down the hill. What do you think?

I don`t care about this crash.I will HODL, and if the price does under 2K, i will start buying.
The good thing about this price decrease is that all the speculative investors and greedy people, who joined the btc community only for the profits will run away.Only the people who really care about bitcoin core and the blockchain will remain.
7297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I watched my $5000 metamorphose to $2075 :( on: February 05, 2018, 11:51:01 AM
What is your cryptocurrency portfolio and in what ICO tokens have you invested your savings?
It`s not your fault. The entire crypto market went down.Just don`t sell anything and HODL.
I think that there is a correlation between the bitcoin price and token prices. The token prices increase every time the bitcoin price goes down, and they decrease every the btc price goes up.I might be wrong ,but i had some Viberate tokens last year and i sold them at the wrong time.
Don`t trade ,if you don`t have trading skills.
7298  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-05] UK Bank LLoyds Doesn’t want Anyone Buying The Bitcoin Dip on: February 05, 2018, 11:41:04 AM
This ban might stop the Lloyds customers to buy cryptocurrencies via Coinbase or via services similar to Coinbase.I`m wondering how can Lloyds stop their customers to buy cryptocurrencies via Localbitcoins.com.
It`s impossible. The localbitcoins transaction will look like any other bank transaction and the btc seller will release the btc from escrow.Anyway, such news will push the cryptocurrency prices down.
7299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the bitcoin markets will bounce off the $8,000 USD area? on: February 05, 2018, 06:03:21 AM
Yes,i expect a new price crash to happen in the short term, but in the long term bitcoin price will recover and reach some new ATH.To be honest,i totally don`t care about the bitcoin price right now.I don`t care even if the price crashes under 2000 USD.I`m just trying to get as much bitcoins as i can and i will HODL all of them, waiting for the next year.
7300  Economy / Economics / Re: America set to borrow nearly $1 trillion this year, an 84 percent jump from 2017 on: February 05, 2018, 05:58:30 AM
The US dollar bubble is getting bigger and bigger, while all the idiots keep talking about a crypto bubble. Grin
The good thing is that this 1 trillion dollar debt might help for pumping the cryptocurrency prices and bitcoin might recover back to 20K USD after a few months or maybe after one year.
The bad news is that when the USD bubble bursts, all the other bubbles will burst.
