7281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hits $10k, Coinbase goes down (again) on: June 03, 2020, 11:09:19 PM
And recently, there have been a lot o accusations against them, like insider trading. So it's better to find new exchanges and stay away from their shady practice.

If this is true then there is no reason to patronize Coinbase.

Just accusations mate, hard to prove because there are no external audit.

@HardFacts - Exactly, that's what traders are complaining here, after a couple of minutes of bitcoin hitting above $10k, many wanted to sell and make profit, unfortunately, they can't because it went down abruptly.

And as per Bob Arum, Arum On ESPN, Top Rank Return: If We F--k It Up, It’s Gonna Be Bad For Boxing. But I do agree, of course we wanted to see high profile fights, but in this situation, we need to see some test fight first, like scoring, network, boxing promoters, etc. So if organisations or fans look at this first fight during the pandemic and there are problems, then it's back to square one again. So Bob really need to do it right.
7283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 03, 2020, 12:13:08 PM
Actually when Duterte eases out the lockdown this June 1, the first thing I didn't it so check one of the casino's here and see if there are some updates are whether these casino's are going to open or not, fortunately, there's not as of yet.

However, being a landbase player, I wouldn't put the risk in playing even after PAGCOR will give the go signal to re-open the big 3, RW (Resorts World) , COD (City of Dreams) and Solaire Resort and Casino. Of course I missed the environment, but no thanks, will prefer to play online for now until the Covid-19 has flatten the curve in the Philippines.

7285  Economy / Exchanges / Kraken's targeting LN this year on: June 03, 2020, 10:29:41 AM
According to Kraken's bitcoin strategist, Pierre Rochard, they are planning to implement LN this 2020, or else he should be fired,

https://twitter.com/pierre_rochard/status/1265835635862093824

I think it's about time though, recently we have a lot of complains that the fees are really going up and top tier exchanges like Kraken should take advantage of LN. And we can really gauge how LN effectiveness here. Yes, their fees are one of the lowest now, but if they push LN, that will be great.
7286  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: June 02, 2020, 11:49:40 PM
A lot of people do not want agree that surviving in the market today requires every trader to come to terms that they are trading on probability and at every moment of the trade there are series of different possible outcomes.

Pretty obvious though? Isn't what we say that we can't really predict the price movement because there's a lot of possibility, lots of outcome that we can't control? And that is another reason why we don't think that there are no experts here, every prediction is based on your experience and how to interpret the trend lines.

As a trader, the best you can do is find the most likely scenario based on the data you have and understanding the risk involved too.
Choose the best probable outcomes that favors you to avoid stories as rekt.

True, that's why trading is not really for everyone, because there are risk involved that anyone can't really mitigate and they got rekt.
7287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hits $10k, Coinbase goes down (again) on: June 02, 2020, 11:20:26 PM
Just imagine if bitcoin goes into a bull run and reach all-time-high? What do you think will happen to Coinbase? Lol. I don't have any evidence, the only thing we can look at is that they have a history of going down when the price is going up. So that alone says that Coinbase is either doing it deliberately to stop their customers from selling and making profits, or they don't care about their customers and not have have a mitigation risk in this something this big happen again. And recently, there have been a lot o accusations against them, like insider trading. So it's better to find new exchanges and stay away from their shady practice.
7288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: June 02, 2020, 10:58:26 PM
If this new normal will strictly be implemented even Bob Arum can't take that away. Though they can have the event but to expect that a few people would come as they care about their health as well. Maybe Bob will think that he is also risking the lives of others and not just only money matters.
Well, I don't know if people are hungry for gambling because they are already exposed to online gambling these days.

I'm pretty sure that people are looking to gamble in this "new normal", not just boxing per se, but fans are looking for sports to go and continue. For sure, those promoters wanted to make more money, and so is the boxers, but I'm sure it will be strictly implemented specially that this is the first fight in this scenario.

This is one thing I could say, even Boxing betting is open live, but I'd rather not to visit not unless we are guaranteed safe from the virus. Better preferred to watch online and put bets on there.

Of course, online will be the best options for us, it might be PPV or some live stream channels.
7289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: May 31, 2020, 09:18:36 PM
Though not big names but still it's good to see fights being stage on this time of a pandemic. Hope all would turn out fine so we can see boxing and other sports slowly going back.

I think the card is good in my opinion.

Stevenson vs Caraballo is a good non-title fight. There's a lot of hype around Stevenson as he is an Olympian. And the we have Jessie Magdaleno in the main card vs Yenifel Vicente. Magdaleno beat our own Nonito Donaire by UD in 2016. It was a good fight but Magdaleno is too much for Nonito back then.

Anyway, if you have information about Inoue vs Casimero fight, please update in this thread, I hope that fight will be scheduled this next month too.

Yes, for sure I will update this thread if I found some information about the Inoue vs Casimero, so far though there's nothing that I can report. Probably both are busy on their training in preparation of their big fight. And once we see boxing this June, it will probably a signal that they could be next in the following months.
7290  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Thoughts on changelly on: May 31, 2020, 08:41:58 PM
Shitty rates, KYC; worst of both worlds. Go on if you want to be robbed.

That service literally died after started forcing KYC.

And if I may add:

CHANGELLY - Illegal exchanger from RUSSIA with FAKE team
changelly.com is scammer ?
Is CHANGELLY SCAM EXCHANGE?

Some multiple accusations against them, to be honest, I used them in the past, however, when they enforced KYC to their customers, it is the final nail in the coffin, never use them again.
7291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investing in Burency.io/ burency.com a good idea ??? on: May 30, 2020, 11:59:10 PM
I heard about Burency (exchange and blockchain development platform based on middle east) a lot through telegram. They have over 100k members in telegram group. They've recently partnered with huobi. They also featured in a lot of news coverage.

Their native erc20 token BUY are on ICO. Almost 47% are sold. My question is should I invest in buy token Huh Will it be a good choice Huh Or any exchange token suggestions other than BNB and HT.

Number of telegram users are not a good indication how good or successful a project will be. Still boils down as how the project has real use case, otherwise if will be just another hype.

Really hard to give financial advises here, because you know people can make wrong suggestions. As rule of thumb, DYOR (Do Your Own Research).

7293  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin at Banko on: May 30, 2020, 10:59:06 PM
Well may punto ka na ang pag store ng bitcoin natin sa wallet (na tinatawag na HODL) ay hindi makakatulong sa ekonomiya. So mahabang debate at diskusyon yan.

7295  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Do not download this wallet on: May 30, 2020, 10:01:15 PM
I cannot find any review of this wallet as well, and yes it is fairly young and majority of us haven't heard of this one. Probably the developer of this wallet doesn't bother to promote it because it has malicious intent from behind. But good catch by the OP, and it's good that the community is being given a warning here. Just stay with reliable and trusted wallet and not try to 'experiment' with unknown and not open source.
7296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can one use is Bitcoin talk forum account on: May 29, 2020, 11:55:23 PM
I have been participating in bounty campaign, but noticed I normally see one or two accounts every, was wondering why.
My question is that is there limitations as to the number of projects you use your Bitcoin talks forum account for.

You are not allowed to participate two accounts in a single bounty campaign because that is cheating. Having multiple accounts is not against the rule per se, but frown upon. And taking advantage of it by joining two or more accounts is not allowed. I will suggest that you go around the community first and read the rules and you are a classic example on why 'merit' system is implemented in the first place.
7297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson vs Holyfield Charity Fight on: May 29, 2020, 11:20:37 PM
This is much better than the YouTubers' fight!
Well even if both are unfit for a serious match, at least we can see the peek-a-boo and the mighty headbutt one more time. That said, I hope both will fight clean if it's going to happen.
I'd pick Holyfield since he still trains and his body not as deteriorate as Tyson.

Exactly, those youtube fighters are making a lot of money. So it makes sense for a Legendary boxing like Tyson And Holyfield to fight to raise money for charity. I will also go with Holyfield, seems he is more fit that Tyson although he is the older of the two. Mike's drug issue could be one factor why his body has deteriorated very fast and thanks to @deisik for that image.
7298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting rich quickly! on: May 29, 2020, 10:57:09 PM
Let's give an example of you bought 100 BTC at 9000$ Price and the price went 9010$ in seconds then you sold, so your profit will be 1000$, may 500$ fees, but the another 500$ you made it profit in seconds!

Let's discuss at the point!

And then the price went to $3000 in 30 minutes, then you got nervous and then panic and you sold. My point is that bitcoin is very volatile asset, it's not that easy to make money, you can literally go from boom to bust. No one can even time the market to go on a "buy position" like the scenario you picture. Theoretically you are correct, but in practice it will not be always the case.

Kindly move this thread to Reputation board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0.
I think it is a proper place to discuss it.

I moved before but my move post has been locked so I don't know how to work move because I only work on bounty so that's the reason.

Bottom left of this thread, you will see click move topic. Don't forget to tick "Post a redirection topic."

Then look for board. And then we will continue to discuss your case.
7300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: May 29, 2020, 02:38:33 PM
No, I'm not going to be comfortable donating to a platform that is one of if not the best money making business machine in the world.

And like the rest of the guys here, I prefer directly giving out to the organisations specially local so that I can see where the money is going specially if it will go to my fellow countrymen.
