I am wondering whether it is possible to make Bitcoin transactions untraceable or not? As long as I know, Altcoins like Monero, BitcoinDark or Dash are using different concepts in order to make transactions untraceable. Is it also possible for Bitcoin by using some extra tools?
You have to use a mixer like bit mixer.io. But you have to mix many time your amount in way to keep safe that your transaction is untraceable. Anyway, consider that mixer takes some fee (Bitmixer.io charge 0.5% if I'm not wrong). Even using mixers, it's entirely possible to track transactions. Essentially, you're paying money to make things slightly harder, while still not resolving the anonymity issue. Also in my many month's on this forum sadly you will see mixers that just stop working. People send money to them, and get nothing out. Either scam or a site that no longer does the service. Even if it works I don't think it's worth it. I think it provides a false sense of security. I personally have never used one and don't intend to.

VCC are basically like your normal credit card but it can only be used online as it doesn't have any plastic card that comes with it. The main risk is that the other party would also know the number hence he can potentially wipe if off. Otherwise, the card could have been stolen and it would be invalidated.
I just need it to pay online, to buy a Domain, He provided me that card info, and I bought that Domain, I dont how it work next, is there no Issue, using that? Can someone tell me best Virtual card Providing Site?I actually get it through my credit card. I had 2 that offered it but I didnt use one so did not renew. But if you look at benefits on credit cards some have it offered directly from them, then you have credit card protection on a VCC. So it's a great combo. Not to mention you can pick how long it is valid, and limit the amount. After you start using VCC's you will love them and keep using them.

Personally I went with amazon as I needed it quick and got 2 day shipping on it through amazon prime. Ebay if those work as promised is not bad. But I personally would get an actual Delta or Sanyo. The way I see it is why risk a miner for a few bucks on generic fan. That is unless it's very old miner and you don't really care. But S4 still has some value.

Yes, they shouldn't be doing that. It's equivalent to signature content, which should be within the signature area only. If it doesn't fit or isn't allowed, then it isn't allowed.
I'm glad to hear that it's going to be stoped. I want to thank you BadBear or whoever went through and cleaned up posts taking away that nasty iTop logo. Thanks!

Compac production assembly begins in the morning. Just letting y'all know.
That is great news. Congratz on your own miner. It is really neat to see the process you documented. You have made it further then a lot of companies that post on here with actually coming through with a product in the end. I personally hope it's a long line to come.

If BTC drops to 180 steady we are all in trouble. It will not just be this miner.
I knew when I got one it's a long ROI (and yes there is a risk I dont ROI). But I accept that and wanted one to mine with. No matter what it can't be as hard as mining I went through with A2 chips just barly ROI'ed. And a lot did not ROI there.

here it is plugged into the hub red power booster on the left side ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FDxiLvRo.jpg&t=663&c=3PeLSaY02Tc_yw) the packing bag is resealable. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FncCTlPo.jpg&t=663&c=QGm44dtUnCTvOQ) I really like the setup you have going there. With active cooling that is getting some nice speed I'm sure.Very nice setup though thanks for sharing. I have a decent amount of old powered hubs (cheap sold all the ankers back when stick mining was new). But I've been thinking of maybe trying to add more power to one of them. Have not got to it yet have a list full of projects kinda juggling to decide which one's I do at the moment.

what an abomination.
It is actually a very nice miner from my experience with it so far. It is not for everyone with the amount of electricity needed. And also you do need a lot of PCIe cables I don't deny this. But the recommended psu works great with them. So far 1 day and 7 hours running not a single issue and running up to spec. So actually looks good as far as miner stand point.

I pm-ed itop_james about this yesterday and they responded that they will stop doing it.
That would be great if they do. At first it was not a huge deal but they kept on and on. And when they were quoted it would carry it on. So one post with it quoted a few times equals a lot of ad's. I went through my post's and edited out the ad's. I wish they would do the same and edit past posts and delete the ad's but sadly that will not fix all the quoted ones. But if they have stopped that would be very good news, and I'm sure many will be happy.

that's really nice review of S5+, i'm expecting it by next Sunday and looking forward to ask you a few questions in order to make sure that i'm on the right track.
- do i need to make any hardware changes on it before i startup the miner ? - what's the best option for the pool? setup 3 pools or choose the best one ( which is effective ?) - do you think that S5+ is the best miner to start a mining farm or should i use S5 as a stable tested miner ?
Thanks.
As far as hardware changes it depends on your setup. You will need the proper amount of electricity to run it (16 Amps). I personally did this with a 240 30 amp breaker connected to a PDU and then the recommended bitmain server PSU's being used. All depends it is honestly personal preference. Some will say support one of the smaller pools. I personally have antpool as my main as PPS is lower rate then f2 pool. But some like to miner other way's where luck has a factor in it. So not really a wrong pool in most cases just a personal preference. The S5+ is a great miner as far as small footprint and a lot of power it is also more efficient the the regular S5. I would say it is easy to install if you have the electricity planned out. Speaking as far as install it's same general GUI on S5+ or S5. Either way as far as miner settings its really the same on setup from GUI. Biggest difference is knowing your electricity setup, if you can do this yes very good for any one.

How many are the minimum and maximum posts in one week ?
From first page "No minimum posts, no maximum posts (temporary limit of 100), no worries! Do not spam."

I log into my account for the first time in 2 weeks and my wallet is deleted and account blocked? WTF is that about?
I would ask Bit-X support as they would be with information and reason. I have not heard of a deleted wallet before though. But the support of Bit-X not sig campaign is where to go. Mine is still in tack and no issues on my Bit-X account. Macro when you get time please if you could respond to my pm. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) thank you!

For what it's worth I put it in meta about iTop ad, I hope they can move to a signature vs the click able ad that has been invading Bitmain threads. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1158270.new#new *Edit now that nasty logo is gone for good ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . Thanks suchmoon for providing exact rules broken. And on btc price I sure hope it goes up in next month. It shows how BTC is still early in it's adoption when one site can bring down the price this much. And also XT talk I think has some of the decline in price. But that flash crash was just crazy, wish they would have had more in place to stop something like that from happening.

Lately the mining hardware forums has been flooded with ad's posted by the company iTop. They put a clickable ad at the top of most of their posts. I talked about this in another forum and I think it's a violation of rules. Please look at the following two accounts they post the click-able ad with iTop logo as an ad on almost all posts. itop_james - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=539247ITOP - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=543718I have no problem if they advertise in signature or other ways on forum. It just seems like a Gorilla type of advertising to make sure to post ad's in Bitmain threads in hopes of sales from the click-able ad. I would appreciate if a moderator could look into this and hopefully stop these ad's at the top of each post. Below is the ad they have I believe been breaking rules with by posting at top of almost all posts:

Extortion is frowned upon. If it is discovered that you are trying to extort a member then there is a good chance that you and your alts will receive negative trust.
Would the suggested course of action be to go public about who is extorting who, and the situation? Open a scam accusation and/or report the PMs you are receiving to an admin. This is best course of action. Also it is important to know what are they trying to extort? For example if you scammed someone and they say they will release info if you don't pay back..... not nice but could be justified if scammed. I'm not pro doxing, I think it could be used for bad things. But if it is a scammer and it helps someone get their money back I can see why doxing would be allowed. But as a general rule no extortion is not good. Report it.

With the new S7 coming this one may be negative but the next one will be huge!
We don't know if the S7 will be soon or not. Bitmain did announce the chip which I agree is big. What I cant figure out is why a company that normally is quiet on development spoke out with it before S7 was released. As suchmoon pointed out, they did that with the S3. They announced the chip, then the S3 two weeks later. History could repeat itself... One question that is related is how did iTop beat Bitmain to posting it to forums? Did they release specs in China first and iTop took it to this board right away? Was odd to see third party post it before bitmain. I think iTop is not the typical third party reseller. But WTF do I know in this case absolutely nothing. They are for sure in the game to grab attention. I wondered how they got that information. I still wonder if they got it from China being announced first and they posted quick or how they did it. I can't find if it was released before they posted the specs. This is a little offtopic but I'm tired of seeing that iTop logo in so many posts. It should be in the signature not at top of each of their posts. I don't think we would get away with posting an add at start of each post. But again that is just me to. Difficulty is not horrible on bitwisdom: Bitcoin Difficulty: 52,699,842,409 Estimated Next Difficulty: 53,391,316,193 (+1.31%) Adjust time: After 157 Blocks, About 1.1 days Hashrate(?): 388,316,959 GH/s Price is a different story around 232. I wish I could have gotten some of that under 200 flash crash BTC.

I have an S5+. I am running it on default freq with 3x evga 1300 PSU.
With the PSU's I am using; each board uses 373 watts and the controller uses 185 watts for a total of 3542 watts.
I don't think anyone would necessarily have a problem running off of only 2x connectors on each blade so long as the PSU and cables they are using are very high quality and gauge. However;
I also don't see the point in not connecting all three. The miner costs ~ 9.35BTC. Cables and connectors are nothing compared to this.
That is kinda my feeling. I can see why people with PSU's with less PCIe connectors want 2 per. But Bitmain made a big deal about 3. If you have a problem and it's obvious it only had 2 plugs I think they will void warranty. So that one extra plug on each to keep warranty valid is worth it to me.

I hope that BitMain's chip announcement and the possible short term release of the S7 will put some price pressure on SFards.
Pretty soon they will have to share the stage with S7. And of course the LTC reward is going to be cut in half. After those events I don't think that the SF100 is going to be nearly as interesting as it was.
Well some of the last scrypt gear dropped and dropped crazy amounts in price. I don't think we will see that level this time. But it would not surprise me if we see a drop in price with announcement. They are unique as 1/2 is scrypt so the can justify a partial premium.

Also put yourself in Bitmain's shoes. If you could sell (and in turn ship) 1000 units vs 3000 units at roughly the same margins, and you firmly believed that you would sell out either way, you choose the one with less logistics involved. It's hard to call any of their decisions poorly made when they sell out of pretty much everything they make, even if those decisions aren't 100% to our liking.
I don't disagree it was a business decision. They knew 3 worked good and in a very surprisingly small box approx 3 S5's. And it allowed them to use a LOT of chips. We don't know for sure this is likely the only production run of this mine, unless they have time to squeeze more before next gen. But I hope next gen what ever it is has more design like the S5+ then the S5. The metal casing and push/pull fans honestly are worth the extra cost. The miner has ran for over a day and ran perfect so far.
