Then you just withdraw it instantly. If the option was given most people probably wouldn't bother.
7302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are doomsday preppers using BTC in their plans? on: December 23, 2014, 11:14:46 AM
I don't think bitcoin can help in any doomsday scenarios. Bitcoin relies on the ability to communicate freely throughout the world quickly in order to properly work. Most doomsday scenarios involve communications significantly hampered.

Agreed. If the net goes down we're obviously screwed. It would be interesting to see what would be used as money in a scenario like this. I guess fiat would still be better but with complete economic collapse it would likely go back to a bartering system.
7303  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] (Staff Only) Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: December 23, 2014, 10:04:04 AM
Just a suggestion,
Why dont you start sending payments to primedice accounts?

Would probably make sense from a business perspective as many people would be more tempted to gamble (and then lose), but many people also won't like having money deposited directly into their accounts. I'm not that bothered but I prefer the money in my wallet, but if I was Stunna I'd probably send it to our accounts.

7305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a way to earn 50$ in a month from faucets ? on: December 23, 2014, 07:01:23 AM
Faucets without ref are waste of time. Im hardly earning .1$ a weak without refs.

I think a waste of time is trying to get referrers. It takes so many time to get them + I think affiliate marketing has always a kind of a ponzi scheme / pyramid scheme. But yeah, .1$ per week are possible but never 50$.

Agreed. Even with a lot of refs it's still very unlikely to get you a decent anount. Ref links are alright just for the luck of trying to get a little extra as a passive bonus and that's about it.

If it was going to be implemented I think it would've been by now. Stunna even offered a small bounty for it to be done (between 1-5 btc I think). I agree it should have been a priority but we may as well just wait for the new forum now.
7308  Other / Meta / Re: Full time trash posters on: December 23, 2014, 06:23:18 AM
Yeah I hate those guys to freaking much they should all go and get real jobs

Yea, right...

Hey you kid, need a few coins for a steam game? Get a job! Not some fancy forum shit, a REAL job!

Too bad you guys voted morons in that destroyed the economy so we can't get jobs Tongue

Ha. I wish people would stop saying stuff like 'get a job' to people as if they know their employment status or life circumstances. Sometimes it's not as easy as just 'getting a job' for some people no matter how hard you try or how intelligent you are or what qualifications you have and some countries are just far worse off than others (and I'm not just talking about developing nations either - it's pretty fucked for a lot of people here in the UK right now as I'm sure Lethn will agree). For some people they just do what they can to survive or get that little bit extra every month and I imagine to quite a few people on here the money they make from this forum makes their lives that little bit easier or is just a nice addition and very easy way to aquire a decent amount of btc.
7309  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-12-22] Why Bitcoin’s Erratic Price Doesn’t Matter on: December 22, 2014, 02:45:22 PM
Agreed with the headline. I think there's two types of bitcoin believers or investors:

1) Those that get involved for a quick profit (always disappointed)
2) Those that get involved because they believe in the technology and what it can achieve
3) Both of the above.

cant read it, i get an error  Embarrassed - paywall?!

Works for me.
7310  Other / Meta / Re: Full time trash posters on: December 22, 2014, 09:02:30 AM
Just report posts or users if you think they're making shitposts, but merely making a lot of posts isn't a valid reason unless they're half-assed and unconstructive.

I somewhat suspect that some of the shit posters are using some kind of script/bot to post, although I do not have any evidence (it is just a conspiracy theory). I think people do this in order to get their post count (and rank) up, probably as part of an account farm.

It's unlikely or very rare that people currently on sig deals are using bots or when they do they usually get caught pretty fast. We do occasionally get hit by waves of newbie spam bots that I can only assume are trying to build up their accounts for whatever reason but most of the bots recently are just from scammers, trolls and fudsters like Marinecoin and falling etc.
7311  Other / Off-topic / Re: We are under attack on: December 22, 2014, 08:48:11 AM
Asking for a measly 1btc? I think that shows that these guys are amateurs. Also, if you pay it it will likely lead to more attacks from them or others thinking they can easily get money out of you.

7313  Other / Meta / Re: Lots of content gets deleted. MODS, ARE YOU NERVOUS?! on: December 22, 2014, 08:37:25 AM
Oftentimes people complain that they're being 'censored' mainly because their thread gets moved into the correct section. You know, the generic half-assed fud speculation on the price threads get moved out of the main bitcoin discussion sub into the speculation one and they throw a hissy fit.

7314  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] (Staff Only) Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: December 22, 2014, 08:31:06 AM
Perhaps a little more on topic, I don't think they're actually postponing the sig campaign when people bump this thread.  I understood the threat to be aimed at people asking "daddy are we there yet?" about when it starts.

Exactly. Though I don't think he was being serious about the week postponement per post (just like I wasn't).

FYI I bought several invites from Magnavox with BTC and they were delivered right away. Thanks!

Your first and only post in two years was to vouch for this... Seems a little suspicious.

For those on the fence about purchasing from Magnavox, he's definitely a trustworthy seller with super fast response time.

I bought an invitation from him earlier tonight and literally got it minutes after I paid him.

Vouches from newbs who have seemingly signed up here just to vouch for a seller are worth little to nothing. In fact, they just arouse more suspicion.

I really cannot see many people using this nor do I think it would be a good idea for them to do so.
7318  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sony should release The Interview online for free and accept donations on: December 21, 2014, 05:28:05 AM
Shame they've not capitalised on this because it is massive free publicity for the film.

What they're doing right now IS creating publicity. Now people are going to want to see the film, just because it was "cancelled".

It might be still creating publicity but they're not going to make any money from it unless or until they've got a product to sell. Hype will die down eventually. The film will likely leak at some point as well. I wonder if the Korean's have that too but obviously wouldn't release it.
7319  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Dangerous Is Cashing out Starbucks Cards? on: December 21, 2014, 05:10:15 AM
What method are you using for 'cashing them out'? You mean you're accepting them for btc? Most of these cards are bought with stolen credit cards and it's usually the people who create them by fraud that they will go after, not the little guys, but keep doing it and over time the possibility of getting in trouble somewhere down the line will rise.
7320  Other / Meta / Re: Neg REP from random person on: December 21, 2014, 04:37:53 AM
The feedback from segvec isn't the one you have to worry about, it's the one you've now got from Tomatocage that's causing the damage. And like Eal said you'll have to try work it out with the people who left you it.
