7301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin value crash if North Korea goes to war with Japan on: October 12, 2017, 06:47:22 AM
Despite the looming war between Japan and North Korea, I don't think that bitcoin price will be affected negatively. On the other hand, I think it will soar because the Japanese will just go buy bitcoin to hedge their funds against the imminent war. However, this war will severely impact the world economy because its gonna be costly for both sides. Just my .2 BTC.
7302  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-10-12]Ultra-Rich Investor Trace Mayer Predicts Bitcoin Price Will Reach $2 on: October 12, 2017, 05:50:08 AM
Ultra-Rich Investor Trace Mayer Predicts Bitcoin Price Will Reach $27,395 in Just Four Months

Trace Mayer tweeted that he believes Bitcoin is currently undervalued, and that his target price for this coming February (only four months away) is $27,395 per Bitcoin. He bases this prediction on the steady increase of Bitcoin’s 200 day moving average. Mayer is extrapolating the rise of the 200 day moving average, assuming it will reach $5,767 by February. If this is the case, he asserts that a per-coin value of 4.75 times the moving average, or $27,395, would be a “fair” price.

Who is he?

Trace Mayer, J.D., was one of the “first popular bloggers to publicly recommend Blockchain technology” according to his website. At the time, Mayer recommended that his followers purchase Bitcoin, the price per coin was just $0.25.

Like most Bitcoin early adopters, Mayer is extremely wealthy, having recently challenged Roger Ver to a 25,000 BTC wager. There are very few people in the world with enough juice to make $121 mln bets. In addition to his early adoption and recommendation of Bitcoin, Mayer provided seed money for Kraken, BitPay, and Armory.

On his website, Mayer describes himself as:

“An entrepreneur, investor, journalist, monetary scientist and ardent defender of the freedom of speech. Trace Mayer holds degrees in accounting and law. He studied Austrian economics focusing on Murray Rothbard and Ludwig von Mises.”

Mayer has long been concerned with privacy and regulation, fearing that IRS action and AML/KYC laws could hamper growth and incentivize bad behavior.

7307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday? on: October 08, 2017, 01:29:41 PM
Yes, its like a daily routine to me now. I like to see if the price is going up and it makes you happy if it gain in 24 hours. And then I sometimes calculated how much I profited.  Smiley. That is why bitcoin is part of my daily life and its really hard not to look at the price even for 1 day. If I think that the price is good, I dump some of my coins and wait for a good buying point again.
7308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is bitcoin games legit? on: October 08, 2017, 01:15:00 PM
Recently I was playing a betting game in the net where there were giving bitcoins as rewards and I had won 52,000 satoshi, but I was not able to transfer that coins to my wallet Sad. That is the reason I started this thread I wanted to know if that if that game was a real or fake. I am sure someone else also have played this type of games...

Bitcoin game is legit. The problem I'm seeing is that you didn't reach the required amount to be able to withdraw it. Maybe the minimum is like .01BTC. So I guess you have to play again. But I do hope that you win because we all know that gambling is riskier. The more you play the more chances that you are going to lose.
7309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WAITING FOR WITHDRAWAL 0.032 BTC FROM NITROGENSPORTS. on: October 07, 2017, 10:31:30 AM
I will wait 24 hours to get my money back otherwise i will open a scam aligation against them. What do you guys think ? Please support as it can happen with any of us.

Just open a scam accusation and so that Nitrogen can act on it. Well if your accusations have basis then you don't need to beg for support. This community is really good at spotting who is telling the truth. If you are telling the whole story then it should hold bearing at least. And I'm sure that Nitro wouldn't want to have a stain on their reputation here.
7310  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin loss? on: October 07, 2017, 10:17:57 AM
One thing always came on my mind when I entered the world of Bitcoin.
Fiat are issued with registered numbers and recycles in the name of new currency, making the old obsolete.
i.e. They never get destroyed even if the physical notes gets burned and decayed.

But bitcoin are totally different, they can be lost
- sending to unsupported address
- loosing private keys
- people dying with private keys, etc.
Which will keep on decreasing the total available supply of the coin. making it more scarce.
Won't that bring a problem the the economics, no coins left to trade situations?

According to Satoshi himself, we should be thankful to the lost coins as they are the ones who bring more value to bitcoin due to scarcity. Also, it won't bring any problems at all; it is improbable that all coins would be lost in existence except if there would be a scenario where all our machines (and the internet of course) would be wiped out and be rendered useless. Not too much to worry about the diminishing supply as your current coins are being valued more due to these lost coins.

Satoshi is right indeed. It would have a deflaitonary effect on bitcoin economy. Its like when you are collector. Then item lost in history the more its valuable. Too bad though that those earlier adopter didn't take care of their bitcoins. They should have been millionaires by now. And this should be a lessons learn for us that is new to bitcoin. Saved your private keys and seeds.
7311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $4000 the perfect time to buy on: October 07, 2017, 09:51:23 AM
Considering just buying a few bitcoin around $4000. What are your opinions? Should I wait until it drops in September? Will it drop in October because of the hard fork, or will it go up because everyone wants to get their share of the fork coin? Will whales push the price down in September so they can accumulate it cheaper?

Personally yes, because I believe the real price of bitcoin is always above $4,000. If the bitcoin price decrease below $4,000 like the last time happened when China banned ICOs and bitcoin exchanges, the price fall to $3,330 and that was the best time to buy bitcoins. My point is if the price below $4,000 go buy it, that's it.

It fall much lower that $3300 when all the news come out from China. It dip to $2900, which is the best buying point at that time. But since bitcoin have recovered already, its really hard to see that price again. Unless another waves of negative news will surfaced once more. If you want to get bitcoin at a discount price, then you have to wait again.
7312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Will Likely Resume Cryptocurrency Trading by Licensing Bitcoin Exchanges on: October 07, 2017, 08:15:44 AM
So what? Aren't we all tired of China controlling the cryptocurrency market? I personally don't want China to unban bitcoin exchanges. I don't want them to toy around with the market its better if they stay out of this. We don't need China to make bitcoin's price go up . Bitcoin has reached $4380 without China's help and I believe it will continue making a steady growth.

Yes, we are really tired and we don't want any negative news coming from them. If they decided to come back then good, if not no problem. We have overcome the situation already and we are seeing a nice growth since they left already. They can't really stop bitcoin if that is their plan. And the one that are really hurting from their decision is the Chinese bitcoin community itself. By now I will take everything with a grain of salt every news coming from them regarding bitcoin.
7313  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about the future of bitcoin? on: October 07, 2017, 07:45:15 AM
I hope someday bitcoin users are not banned, I think bitcoin is a very good thing for the future of world transactions because it is safer, cheaper and simpler when compared to the bank system.

Of course it will not be ban. Bitcoin is unstoppable now and you will noticed it because a lot of country are now thinking on how to deal with it. There might be a few nation who would be anti-bitcoin. But I believe most of them will be bitcoin friendly because it will have given their community a chance to earn a decent money out of it by trading and investing. So no doubt that the future is bitcoin will be brighter than ever.
7314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: my current holdings- made 3.5x my money in the past 6 months. on: October 06, 2017, 09:02:23 AM
You should add lisk, stratis and bat to your portfolio but I think you shouldn't hold such many coins. Choose 5 or 7 coins that you can trust in the long term most. It would be more profitable.

That was a big portfolio. For me I would just hold 5 - 7 as you have suggested. Its gonna be hard in your end to track all of this. I think you should sell some of them and really stick to the coins that have a good potential based on your investigation.

BTC

And 6 other alt coins like:
Monero
ETH
NEO
OMG
Waves
Lisk
7315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rise is over on: October 06, 2017, 02:10:50 AM
Bitcoin started to go up again, after a 2 day slump. This is good news to the community because we may reach $4500-$5000 at the end of the month. Investors once again getting bitcoin and pouring cash in the ecosystem. I think the China news or FUD is over for now. Let's remain positive that this will be another bull run in the horizon that will push the price to new ATH.
7316  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Exodus Wallet , BCG? on: October 06, 2017, 01:20:45 AM
Exodus Wallet , BCG?
can our Exodus Wallet able to get BCG ?

Usually, wallets or exchanges for that matter, doesn't support new coins specially in the beginning. But if they see that there is a demand then they will definitely support it at their end. So we have to wait and see first what's gonna happen in November. If everything turns out good and their customers what them to include it, I'm sure that will add it.
7317  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi: Vulnerability discovered on: October 05, 2017, 01:18:02 AM
It is still unresolved as of today. I'm haven't seen any tweets from them. So its either they totally ignored the issues found or they are fixing it but haven't released it yet because they are testing it. I'm still reluctant to use it until the issue is not solved. Although no reported hacks, there is a possibility that it can happen because its broadcasting in plain text, meaning not secured.
7318  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin eventually disappear... on: October 05, 2017, 12:57:22 AM
There will be a fixed number if Bitcoins, and people, because of human error, will accidentally lose Bitcoins every now and then.

This must mean that Bitcoin will eventually seize to exist? Or at least shrink to minimal amounts, when it shrinks to a certain level, it will no longer be useful.

Is this correct?

I think bitcoin will never be disappear since bitcoin is the biggest bank in the world which isn't using real cash this currency will be more successful and it will be implemented to other company and into our economy the best thing about bitcoin is it is not yet mined all it will increase more if it shrinks i think bitcoin still remain bitcoin and become more useful into another things.

I think the last bitcoin could be mined in the next 100 years. So that's a century. We may have been long gone by then and still bitcoin exist. But the question is what's gonna happened if all bitcoin are mined? If trading still exists when the last supply will mined then bitcoin will continue to flourish. As long as people are trading bitcoin, I don't think it will just disappear. Maybe there were still bagholders that won't sell their coins and will keep it after centuries even if its not useful anymore.
7319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CASH is probably DYING on: October 05, 2017, 12:37:56 AM
I knew it from the beggining, that is why i dumped my bch just when i received them on my wallet, i sold them at $890/each, so i made a very good bussiness with my bch, i dont understand those people who still believe that the price will be higher than bitcoin, and i saw a lot of them saying that, i never understood if they were kidding or if they said it seriously, dont know yet.

BCH will never reached that status of bitcoin. Glad you dump it already at make a huge profit. Investors are wise not and will not be swayed by just advertisement. They want where the action is, and BCH can't guarantee that to them. So they stick to the reliable bitcoin market that we all love. There are still supporters of BCH though, but let's see how long they are going to hold on it. Its really hard to understood them when all the facts are being laid out to see that BCH is going nowhere.
7320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better news on: October 05, 2017, 12:03:34 AM
I think that this all was a very giant fud, i have never believed it, i mean, there were tons of news about china and cryptocurrencies, that is why i started to suspect about thinking about that maybe this all was fake. Anyway, i still believe in that there is a minimum posibbility for cryptos to be banned by any government, we only have to wait until that happens.

Well, its my first time to read that there are really a waves of FUD from other members here. Maybe they are paid to sown fear here that's why a lot of investors specially those who are new to the market sold their bitcoins. It originated from China and twist and maybe there is a lost in translation along the way. And later we found out that it is fake news. But its too late already. The price has sunk to $2900. But thanks to everyone who bought it back. The market has recovered already.
