There's a long thread in which I was roundly mocked despite calling the top, the first bounce, and having a 3 year long forecast play out pretty accurately until Tether showed up and pumped $60bn of fake dollars into the market. I'm relatively comfortable being wrong at times. There's a certain satisfaction for getting mocked, I know I've had my share in my field(s) and have taken it on the chin, as it is an acknowledgment of sorts that we may know what we're talking about, even if we're not on the same page. I do like the hat gang a lot, I'd throw in my lot with them if this were a 2-sided game, but I'm also highly entertained by the comments of you and others of a different cloth. I confess I never really know the complexities and nuances of all Bitcoin maxis, but I look forward to seeing more of this play out. Also, the various versions of the Bitcoin end game many of us believe in won't be for a very long time, and my belief is we won't any of us be alive to witness any of those ends, but we'll see a lot more years out, and I still rather feel we'll most of us end up winning in various ways. P.S. I do struggle to really understand the CW-tinged sympathies, but I'd rather blank that out and enjoy everything else you talk about. Call me apolitical or ignorant? But the bliss taking refuge behind that is real;)

I'm looking for the strongest percentage at the moment, can this be used as a guide this time based on the percentage, which is obtained for the four clubs.
What in the upcoming semi-finals. Italy will meet Spain and England will meet Denmark.
If so my idea is the same, at least it's a good premonition for the UEFA EURO 2020 championship.
That's just the percentage ESPN used in an article I read, roughly based not on their strengths but their flaws, which I actually also agree at this level, is what will cause teams to lose. Everyone seems to have a good solution at offence (except England who won't use it for some reason) but it's the defence and closing down and shutting down that ALL the teams seem to be facing (except, again, England). Still haven't figured out tonight but in case everyone plays cautious, 13/1 OverTime special on both games tonight at Sportsbet!

So we got our bet back yesterday, thanks to everyone winning comfortably except Bragantino, who, to be fair, did their best judging from the stats but were unable to find any breakthrough. So today we take a simple Spain and Italy WIN at regular time, 200 units at Sportsbet @5.0. Other odds: 4.50 Units advantage: 50 Running advantage after 397 bets: +26,546 (+50) All-time cumulative: +64,944 Running units after 396 bets (63W|333L): +14,378 ()

I'm doing a simple parlay today, but I might actually do live betting, as soon as a team leads, I'm backing the trailing team. If just 1 out of those bets hit should hedge all the others.
ESPN probabilities of progress: Spain -72% England - 71% Denmark - 66% Italy - 53%
So if you get odds on progress matching that = value.

Belgium vs Italy is the game of the round. I actually think whoever wins this game will be champions. In my opinion they are the two best teams left in the competition. It wouldn’t surprise me if De Bruyne & Hazard are fit, sometimes coaches release info to trick the opposition.
I didn't back England earlier but you can't deny how they've not lost while not playing their best, nor with their best people... the path seems clear to the final at least, but you're right. Hard to see Italy or Belgium lose once they progress, I'd have preferred to see this clash in the semis at least but we get what we get. KDB and real Hazard will play, either to salvage or to get ahead. Be a real shame if they don't play if Belgium reach the final. They started with new ones. Currently active over 1.5 Goals In each of the quarter finals (90 min) @4 which has solid value since that multi ranges from 3-3.5 odds max, depending on the bookie (at least on the ones I checked). Max bet 25mBTC.
Nice one to start my bets but I am waiting for some long shot promo as well.
Thanks! Quickly popped in to take the bet, wasn't there last I checked. Really handy to have this notification;) But I also missed another I'd have taken... Spain, Italy, Denmark, England for 13/1, tsk! Not going to be much checking tomorrow either but hope to catch a few longshot specials too.

That's... somewhat of a curious bit of news I seem to have missed. Have already rather seen examples of people moving jurisdictions and changing nationalities as business opportunities open up like this. Wouldn't exactly say El Salvador citizenship is a golden passport, but with enough tax break benefits, it might just attract the sort of enterprise they're looking for. Still don't think they've really given it proper thought but should be interesting to see a blockchain hub in LatAm.

Not new news, but yeah, I guess it's important enough to say for clarification, but practically speaking, it's not any less meaningful, as RapTarX says, and others prove, to say that it will never more than 21 million Bitcoin.
And that, effectively, is the limit of supply. I see nothing wrong with saying that. And it helps my tiny brain make sense of it, why not? What interests me more is stuff like if I might actually still be around when the reward could potentially be less than the fee from a single transaction.

Me too, but Southgate does not like him. He prefers to play with 2 defensive midfielders and then there is no room for Grealish. I feel like he deserves much bigger role in this England team. == Waiting for some more juicy promos from Sportsbet ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) All the old ones I took either busted, paid out or just waiting to settle so I need few more to have some skin in the game. I mean, I don't rate him that highly, not world-class yet, but when your team is struggling for ideas, you gotta play the guy who keeps proving himself. I get Southgate needed to instill discipline into this England team and Grealish's reputation wasn't helpful but he's a young lad and he's learning to put his performance ahead of his desires... think he's earned it for sure. No more specials left for me either man. Waiting for more to throw money at;) I have just one win in the last 6 games, which sounds even more insane when I type it down right now, like I know it but writing it makes it even more real. I won the Sweden vs Ukraine game, it looked way too much like a tie because I felt like their talents were way too close and there has been so many overtimes so I was a bit more inclined to look for a draw as well, got lucky with that one. However overall I have lost so much more money compared to what I made there, not even close, didn't even recover half of it so far.
What is a horrible situation for us gamblers because of the weird results, is actually the thing that is making the games so much more fun to watch, let's be honest with each other we all want our bets to hit and make a profit, but these shocking results also made the tournament so much more entertaining, it is really looking like a show now.
I picked Ukraine too but their win in ET wasn't going to help me, and of course, I parlayed that with a Germany win, so serves me right for backing a team on their way out of the big leagues. Specials really put me up good though, as I mentioned, I guess you didn't manage to take them or skipped them? But you're right, I've really enjoyed this edition of EURO. Being in profit is nice but losing to goalvaganzas doesn't feel so bad. It's literally like paying for the entertainment and I've been entertained! @Steve: nope, no more 150/1 now for 3:3 shame. This is just like Leicester's 5000/1 odds... Now you can't even get 1000/1 on Brentford to win EPL! How crazy is that? =)

Evergrande only lost 0-1 but they were horrendous, not single attempt on target, and then eventually giving away the penalty that led to the goal. I'm going to go full AFC and Conmebol today, and parlay that with a Fritz win at Wimbledon. Because I'm feeling lucky;) 100 units insured, boosted at Sportsbet on Pohang Steelers, Bragantino, Atletico Mineiro, Flamengo, Fritz to WIN @11.18. Other odds: 10.30 Units advantage: 88 Running advantage after 396 bets: +26,496 (+88) All-time cumulative: +64,894 Running units after 395 bets (63W|332L): +14,378 (-100)

After trailing in second in AL East for a while, BoSox have now reclaimed 1st spot at the halfway point. Feeling pretty good, reading a bit about baseball when I can and still can't make much out of the game reports but they're super aggressive it seems, and it's improved their record both home and away. If they keep this up, it'll be hard to see anyone breathe in the same space. Outrights on World Series aren't available anymore but they're distinct favs to top AL East and 6/1 to win AL. Not so good for the Yankees, huh mr power... whose candidates for starring roles seem to be having the worst season. But I think they just need to string together a few good games, or... rebuild? I feel like in baseball, for some teams at least, they really don't like doing that. Reads like these are a gem: https://yanksgoyard.com/2021/06/28/yankees-cosmically-broken-torres-frazier/

^I'd have put more than 5 had I known haha. Why did you think it had bust all over it though? Past few games I looked, low pushes. Anyway, for me, high-scoring, corner and cards, bring them on. It's the only way to get close to 21;)
HT score: 10 from 2 Flora goals + 5 corners; then 3 yellows from their opponents.
FT score: 4 goals (3 Paide goals from 85th min!), 2 corners, and 4 yellows all from Flora to bring us to a PUSH at 20
Two close games in a row!

Damn those crazy odds on multis, but I too like my fair share of exotic football, there's where you do find nice value odds -- sometimes top of table clashes with bottom team and you still get them at 4/1 5/1 -- seems like the lines attract the smaller club followers and somehow pushes odds askew?
Tell you what, too, Conference League is going to open up a whole new can of goodies for odds =D
On EURO, the path certainly looks clear for England. They'll be wary of false dawns but they've already put to bed a number of hoodoos... winning the first group game after 9 past failures... beating Germany in KO for the first time since 1970, and then keeping 4 straight clean sheets for the first time since the 1960s.
Grealish man, I keep saying!

Well, well, well. A new league for me to bet on, and if we get a Canadian PL selection, it'll be two exotic leagues (sorry DS, I have to say I don't know a single team from there haha) added to my betting repertoire;) Tell you what, though. Estonia footie is due a comeback, after winning Baltic Cup this month for only the first time since... 1938. Phwoar!

As DdmrDdmr says.
===
But a comment -- definitely an over-generalisation I feel on the "educated" portion. My own anecdotal experience sees no real difference in education level though perhaps on field of education -- as they are more educated they do appear to be more wealthy, and therefore, with more access and disposable income.
Looking back at past experimental currencies, it's been the same. First access and users were educated people and wealthier ones (you do need money after all and capital to experiment) but the skepticism that comes is quite normal with new tech. And the last to experiment will always be from those experienced or knowledgeable in established paradigms.
So those most likely to consider Bitcoin a scam come from... finance and banking. Just my small experience.

^ Same here, was doing my regular max bet and it didn't go through. [..] sure without a doubt win tonight? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Edit: scratch that. 5-3. You were saying, @icopress? =p / Another silver lining: our penalties special is safe? =D Well, it's a pity that Sportsbet lowered the betting limit ... I would understand if it happened after blackjack (as it was during the first blackjack), but we haven't had any victories for almost two months. It would be great if Sportsbet reconsidered their decision in favor of the regulars of our small get-together. In any case, I hope lowering the limit will not affect the cult of this thread. [2] Man, such a wild account upset everyone ... everyone who made a bet, and I considered it inappropriate to insure this bet because it was not the last match + because we had insurance in the form of a bet on 120 goals. All good man. You've to accept it's a business and they've always got evolving margins, I think (hope) we all made loads of money already on the specials. It's still a value bet at 21/1, and I'll take what I can get. Of course, not gonna complain if they return the 5mbtc limits. Maybe it's because BTC will go to 100k soon? Ha. Ha. EURO betting from match to match has been absolutely horrendous for me, but with the specials, a very healthy bankroll. Yellow cards, 120 goals, and 4.5 goals on their own were pretty awesome.

They’re trolling, and they probably regret selling every Bitcoin they had below 2017’s ATH, or maybe 2014? Hahaha. They WISH Bitcoin will crash down to $12,000. But that’s all it will be. A WISH. They should accept and live with the fact that they are stuck HODLing a-fork-of-a-forked-shitcoin-that-will-NEVER-be-Bitcoin.
Heh yeah, I know at least one of them is, doesn't hide it too well sometimes, but yeah, credit enough to them if they were even around at 2014, but I can imagine the pain of letting go every time and then seeing those milestones left behind in the dust. I'd be sick to the stomach. $12k even if it happens is bound to be the all-time support for this cycle, not sure any bear will be happy with that result if they don't actually have the shorts to back it up.

Ah Germany. And even Ukraine, on the ropes but they actually played a really open game, made for some entertainment, deserved to go through after ET. England won, and Southgate should note they are better when they play Grealish, two assists after he came on. We turn today to AFC Champions League for a hail mary bet on China's Guangzhou Evergrande vs HK's Kitchee SC. 100 units on Evergrande upset @19.70. Other odds: 18.80 Units advantage: 90 Bet ID: 60dc2b142e71b20bf9098c6f Running advantage after 395 bets: +26,408 (+90) All-time cumulative: +64,806 Running units after 394 bets (63W|331L): +14,478 (-100)

Anybody alive after last 2 games? I think the betting sites won like all the money in the world yesterday.
I did not survive the last 3 days, and neither today either, though I'm sure a lot of people happy with England win. France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, destroyed me everywhere. Even underdog picks failed, those draws just destroyed us all. But hey, we all just won our 120-goal special with Zinchenko's pretty smash. @examplens: that's pretty crazy, I saw the exact same parlay on some other group, different screenshot. Are people used to betting 3:3 parlays? Is there some special thing going on I don't know about? Haha
