Thanks @qwertyup23 for sharing, I also lost to USI-TECH and few other scam projects that pump up in my country back then. The promoters were the main reason newbies joining the cryptocurrency industry actually believe in those project. right now there's a new one trending called IML they promise same benefits as USI-TECH but it takes experience users to identify this projects as scam. And I try my best to warned individuals I see promoting the scam in disguise of trading Forex/cryptocurrency for her victims. Sometimes it'a good we experience this scams because they teach us life lessons, in my case it's from Ponzi scheme I got to know about bitcoin and ever since my life have be different and now I'm a new me.
7382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Benefits of promoting (joining) a quality paid signature campaign. on: April 07, 2019, 07:01:17 PM
I'm tired of playing with the altcoin bounty at the moment. Too many scams and broken promises in altcoin bounties. Yes, not all of them are, but it is more like gambling than simple due diligence.

Nice of you connecting, The bear market is a major contributor to the rate at which bounty campaign are scamming their promoters in regard to paying them cents although we still have good ones out there. Just as we have trustworthy bitcoin paid signature managers I'm positive we have or will soon have trustworthy altcoin bounty signature campaign manager too. Just need to carry-out some more research but no doubt bitcoin Paid signature are the best.
7383  Other / Meta / Re: Excessively meriting a mediocre post - rules? on: April 07, 2019, 03:58:21 PM
Taki barely sends any merit, so my guess is that either he was just getting rid of it on a post that he really agreed with or the recipient bought it from him.

He was meriting his alt as poven above with connected Ethereum address. I'll consider his act as an act of foolishness, greediness and desperation. Foolishness for sending such huge amount of smerits to a post most people will classified as worthless. Greediness for trying to cheat the forum and Desperation for trying to rank up his alt to earn more from forum.

I don't see anything wrong with sending huge amount of smerits to posts (although I haven't send any yet) but that post he merited doesn't deserve any merit in the first place, lets say it wasn't his alt and he agreed with the post the best he would had done is sending 1 merit (at least that's what most people do). That's not the purpose of merit anyways but as humans we can't eliminate doing so sometimes.
7384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smerits Hodl on: April 07, 2019, 08:52:45 AM
If we want this board to get more attention, first we need to join hands together to reduce the rate of spam on the board. In as much as you make comments here, try to read through other comments and report worthless posts the moment you see one. The moment the spam rate reduces on board, more merit sources will be interested in this board. We need to help ourself before we seek for help from outside. Smerits aren't to be held thats the fact, did a post on that something ago too.

(2). see Smerit as liabilities to myself and an Asset to others and give them away to deserving users
7385  Other / Meta / Re: ''Trusted New project'' section for Bitcointalk on: April 07, 2019, 06:47:10 AM
No need for that because scam projects won't make use of such board (and those are the projects we're trying to eliminate) because they know they'll be caught and out of fear of reviewers finding some few flaws in their project (because every projects has one) other projects might be afraid to use the boards especially when it get abuse for some selfie reasons.

The easiest way to get a honest review from forum without knowing or paying is, get your project in order. Dot the I's and cross your t's and start a bounty campaigns you will get the attention of scam busters and if you don't see a scam accusation thread on the Scam Accusation board in days or weeks then know your project is OK at least. don't try paying for a review most time you won't get an accurate result.
7386  Other / Meta / Re: To bitcointalk forum: Dont delete my message on: April 07, 2019, 06:25:36 AM
Moderators don't just go around deleting post especially "proof of authentication" because they know it's needed for some bounty, airdrops or any other purposes" the only reason I can think about those your "proof of authentication posts to join airdrop" getting deleting is because;
  • Either the airdrop has ended or
  • Someone reported them for you not doing it right

When a proof of authentication is needed most people intend to add additional information even in applying for paid signature they do the same. Cross check your post next time for any of the scenario above.

BTW: If you think you'll get a decent pay via airdrop, you joined the party late and only wasting your time promoting projects for cents. Beside you don't have any right when it comes to deletion of message because any post that isn't constructive can be classified as spam amd moderators are entitled to delete them.
7387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are any of the top managers involved in any running bounties? on: April 06, 2019, 11:53:43 PM
You mean a bitcoin paying sig campaign? I have a looong way to go to even consider that, but thanks.
There are BTC paying campaigns you can join right now. It's not as if it's an impossible dream. The pay won't be all that until you rank up.

That's true as a member rank user, most campaign won't pay you that much payout could be between $10-$15 but if you have developed interest in paid signature campaigns then this threads would be of interest to you; [Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns. After reading through, you can skimmed through this thread too {Facts} Benefits of promoting (joining) a quality paid signature campaign. there you would see some benefits a paid campaign has over bounty campaigns. GoodLuck
7388  Other / Meta / Re: Merits getting abused like this? What can be done? on: April 06, 2019, 04:33:16 PM
Isn't this some form of free advert, anyone thinking in that direction, am just saying. I see this as more of an advert than reporting might not be your intention but that's how I see it. We have desperate members among us that are willing to pay even more than that just for 1merit and instead of ranking just one account to member rank (that's $150) as many of us will think, they'll rank up multiple accounts to e.g 10accounts for that $150 as jnr members. That's why we have numerous accounts with just 1 merit.
7389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are any of the top managers involved in any running bounties? on: April 06, 2019, 12:21:03 PM
You went to the wrong rating thread for starters, that thread intention was not to list bounty related campaign managers since most of them aren't anti-spam and the thread starter intention was to list anti-spam campaign mangers which involves managers of bitcoin Paid signature campaigns mainly.

This thread might be another option to get campaign managers involved in bounties: Overview of Bounty Managers

To answer your question, I contacted one of them (manager) listed in the thread sometime last month and asked the same question why he isn't interested in bounty campaign, his reply was he had less time due to numerous paid bitcoin campaign he's managing and got no time for bounty campaigns (since they require much attention to monitor). So I guess this must be one of the reason too for other managers listed on that thread you visited not getting involved in bounty campaigns.

Another reason could be to safe guide their reputation as other above have mentioned. As a campaign manager, if the project you're managing a campaign for, gets busted for scam or scam like activities possibilities are you'll end up getting taged too.

I recently picked interest in bounty management and hopefully I'll get my first job very soon and I'll try my best to always work for only legitimate project as I won't went my reputation on and outside forum to be soiled. You can keep a tag on me too HERE. I'll be accepting full payment in ICO's altcoin that means I'll accept offers from only legitimate projects.

7391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Blockchain replace the SWIFT system used by Banks? on: April 06, 2019, 04:49:00 AM
The sign of this already occuring are everywhere. The banking institution aren't against blockchain technology as they know using the technology will give them more credibility and gain trust of their clients as the technology is transparent, decentralized and less time consuming. The issue the bank has is with bitcoin and alternative Currencys, they know those cryptocurrency have the power to kick them out of business that's they don't have much of a interest toward accepting them but in accepting blockchain technology I'm sure they would have no choice if they want to keep up or they'll be left behind.
7392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL crypto coins are "worthless" right now. Here is why. on: April 06, 2019, 04:38:54 AM
Well established altcoin aren't worthless, you can call most newly created tokens worthless as they haven't established themselves but Altcoin like Litecoin, Ethereum, dash, grin etc just to mention a few aren't worthless as bitcoin needs them to survive. The cryptocurrency market needs but Altcoin and bitcoin to achieve global adoption and hopefully achieve the price you suggested in OP. Altcoin aren't worthless instead they're cheap.

7394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's smerit(sendable merit) not kmerit(keepable merit) on: April 05, 2019, 05:19:35 PM
High ranked members are too busy establishing for themself "high-quality" standards while they usually use merit as an alternative of "Like" button on Facebook.

Merit aren't just given to constructive posts but also for post contributing positively to the forum in the form of entertaining, funny and post OP put in some effort (merited in form of appreciates). Any post that isn't spam and above average is worth meriting (my opinion though).

He isn't the first user receiving merits for entertaining video, i remember a contest held for that purpose before. Before complaining of merit abuse, have you watched the video?
7395  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't we have a point system for bad posts? on: April 05, 2019, 12:48:03 PM
I think the system would be abuse even more then the merit system is been abuse. What will be the criteria for a post to be marked as a bad one or will it be based on the readers opinion, in this case the moment you come into some kind of disagreement with another forum user he might turn to that point system to get back out you leading to the abuse of the system.
When it comes to post rating on forums (which I think your suggestion is kind of implying), the negative feature are mostly been abuse then the positive ones. That's why I don't think the system will be useful. The report button for bad and merit button for good posts are working just fine.
7396  Other / Meta / Re: Does anyone here make a living off the forums? on: April 05, 2019, 10:10:27 AM
Today is the first time I got decent payment for BTC signature campaign (thanks @Hhampuz).

Congratulations mate. In my case i join the forum since 2017 but January this year was the first time I started receiving payment via signature and today was the biggest. I believed just like the early users, in years (5-10yrs) to come we'll be the ones telling the stories of how earning via signature was fun and profitable in our time because there's every possibility that the satoshi and USD value of bitcoin via payment will reduce within time.
7397  Other / Meta / Re: The forum is slowly changing on: April 05, 2019, 09:45:36 AM
The change I have notice is decrease in shitposting in boards much attention have been given like boars in the bitcoin subsection unlike before we now have less shitposters spamming those boards.
...
I'm just wondering if reporting has any effect in this situation (that you see less shitposts in the bitcoin section).

Yes it did. These shitposters get paid to post and when their post get reported & eventually gets deleted their posts counts reduces that means, they won't meet the post count requirements for the week and possibly they won't receive stakes (payment) for that week or less number of stakes. Now, most of them shifted their activities (spamming) to other boards with less attention like the Alternative subsections to avoid such situations from occuring filling the boards with all kinds of spams.
7398  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society is knowledgeable but not wise. on: April 05, 2019, 03:57:02 AM
Lets not go too far outside the forum, lets bring it indoor. We can find numerous examples from the forum (society) been knowledgeable but not wise or in this case trying to outsmart the system.

  • They know plagiarism leads to ban (Knowledgeable) yet they still try to play smart by doing it and hope they don't get caught (not wise)
  • Just like overspeeding in your example, they know spamming has it's repercussions (knowledgeable) but yet they still do it, hoping to cheat the system (not wise)
  • They know Farming of accounts/Trust/merits is frown at in the forum (knowledgeable) but yet they still do this acts with the aim of cheating their way to the top and hoping they don't get caught (bad choice, not wise).

The fact here is no matter where humans (society) are located be it on earth, internet, space etc there'll always be those that are Knowledgeable but lack wisdom. The human race prefer shortcuts and derive joy from going against the rules and regulations that govern the society that's why you can find a society with knowledgeable individuals but lack the wisdom required.

Smokers are liable to die young (knowledgeable) but yet we still have high rate of smokers in the society (not wise).
7399  Other / Beginners & Help / {Facts} Benefits of promoting (joining) a quality paid signature campaign. on: April 04, 2019, 11:24:36 AM
Related topic: {Facts} Disadvantage of promoting signature campaigns that encourages spamming.

Having written some Factors to consider before joining a paid signature campaigns. I'm sure some users might be wondering (asking themselves) what's are the benefits if they consider those factors that's what lead me to this topic.
Signature is one, if not the only major contributor to spam in the forum that's why I have much interest in educating forum users (mostly newbies) on how to benefit legitimately thereby reducing spam in the forum before they get corrupt by the spam system
Most of my topic are usually gotten from my experience and this one isn't an exception that's why the word "Fact" was added to the topic subject.
Below are some benefits;

[1]: Decent payout with less workloads: Obviously this has to be the first benefit as joining a quality signature campaign give you the privilege of earning decent bitcoin with less workloads unlike spam related campaigns were you have to work your ass off just to get a decent payout and you might end up getting banned or blacklisted as a spammer.

[2]: Recognition: A quality campaign managed by a well known manager boost your reputation on forum in regards to been a quality poster. We have some campaign that if you're seen wearing their signature you're immediately identified as a quality contributor due to the facts that the campaign through it's manager doesn't accept shitposters and even though you were an average poster below joining such campaigns, it boosts your recognition on forum.

[3]: Merits: Due to the number 2 benefits I earlier mentioned above, possibilities are, the rate inwhich you received merit for your quality post will increase rapidly due to the fact post meriters can now identify with you as a quality contributor to the forum through your posting history. This isn't rocket science it's just common sense. We are humans that means most times, our emotions plays a major part in most of our actions.

[4]: Improve your post quality: Here's something they won't tell you often, joining a quality signature campaign helps to improves your posting quality as you'll be motivated to post right to be worthy of such campaign especially when the mangers is after not just decent post but those with quality, it make you want to improve more so there won't be any reason to be kicked out of such campaign.

[5]: Advantage over other applicants: This benefits has to do with user appying for a different campaign due to reasons best know to them and this benefits will mostly be experience by users trying to apply for a new campaign managed by the same manager of their previous campaign.  As a result of the manager reviewing your posts for payout on the previous campaign he/she already knows you as a quality poster therefore he'll always like to work with you again thereby giving you an advantage over other applicants for the same position.

[6]: Non-collateral loan:
Credit:
It could also sometimes get you eligible for a no-collarate loan as the user is getting some ammout of income from the account and he would not default the loan mostly and ruine his own repo.

[7]: Convenience of working online:
Credit:
The flexibility of working online is currently unparalleled compared to working part-time jobs in diners or restaurant establishments. You have control over your time and the physical stress/fatigue can be avoided by due to campaign signatures. Furthermore, working online is relatively cost-friendly;

[8]: Feeling sense of security:
Credit:
Being part of an established signature campaign gives you the benefit of security over your payments. You do not have to worry on being scammed as most campaign signatures are handled by top-ranked and trusted members on the forum. Unlike most campaigns handled by newbies (although some are also decent!), you have this sense of doubt and fear on whether they will fulfill their obligation to pay each participant.

[9]: Stability:
Credit:
Very few campaigns run for a long time, but once you're in, you can expect regular earnings. Of course it still depends on your post count and you have to keep your post quality high, but it sure beats applying to another campaign every couple of weeks.

[10]: Gives opportunity to make friends:
Credit:
Being a part of a quality signature campaign also gives us opportunity to make some new friends as most of the times, the participants who stay in the campaign for a longer period of time turn out to be friends.
I have myself made some good friends through signature campaigns and it also makes us learn new things by sharing experiences with each other.

[11]: Realizing your market value: One of the benefits you can achieve from joining a quality campaign is that it makes you realize your market value and motives you not to settle for less.
Credit
Once you've joined a campaign that pays well and perform well of course, you'll know that your effort must be paid off somehow. After all, the campaign spots are limited and given the amount of traffic BTCT generates daily, your profile is the advertising banner.

Just like any profession, once you know the market is willing to pay X rate for your service, would you "downgrade" to a lower Y rate and work twice as hard? No of course.

The benefits are numerous but I just highlighted five to give room for other members willing to input some benefits they have experience personally as a result of promoting (joining) a quality campaign.

Note: None of this benefits can be experience if you haven't established yourself as at least a decent posters and always consider these factors before joining a paid signature campaigns. so you can enjoy the benefits listed above.

For someone who's a strong critic of the system and member who oversees the affairs of running that system which includes theymos himself (admin), moderators and merit sources. it's quite surprising seeing you applying to work for that system.
There's nothing surprising. Use your head. He needs a stream of merit to get himself and his alts into DT.

If he had that in mind I'm sure he would had done it quietly with the 400+ merits he has earned. If I'm not mistaking you need to have earned just 10merits to be eligible to vote that means with his 400+ earned merits he would had done that long ago and don't forget current DT members and other forum members have the power to prevent him from been eligible to be a DT member by detrusting him (if that's you fear).. It'll be kinda fun watching how the politics will play out if he's finally appointed a source because with him on board there'll always be some disagreement (drama).
