He said for fun ^_^

I wish they started taking Bitcoins although I might consider trading for a microsoft key now and then instead of the coins ha-ha anyways neat job.

Then again with 1 BTC/Month for a Senior with 50 posts (drools lol)
7382  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-11] Gold Companies With Big Plans for Bitcoin on: July 13, 2014, 09:13:12 AM
This could easily turn into a huge evolving story. BTC/Gold is the future as fiat collapses and "almost everyone" is a paper millionaire.

Well purchasing power is how many assets you own that people want Smiley
So yep could have a bunch of paper millionaries but a lack of real ones

This is cool though a three way exchange and it is part of a developing story.
Wonder if Digital Gold or Real Gold will become the main driver in the future.
7383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: @Just-Dice investors on: July 13, 2014, 09:10:03 AM
Just wondering; where is everyone investing their BTC now that Dooglus has paid out all owing investments? Has there been anyone enter the market that's even close to being as trustworthy as Dooglus within the BTC gambling industry?

No real places to invest Bitcoin in my opinion now that just-dice is gone more or less I leave a bit of change on mintpal and try to figure out that market although I would much prefer a good storage location like JD anyday.
7384  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2014-07-12 CoinTelegraph - Mandatory Bitcoin Reporting Ordered in Argentina on: July 13, 2014, 09:00:07 AM
Translation

Shoot the Argentinians found a way out of our cruddy dollars we need to contain this leak ASAP
(or improve the financial system in that country  Roll Eyes)

Anyways a nice read thanks for the share good summary part

The Argentinian decision basically puts Latin America in two evenly split camps with respect to virtual currencies. The public seems to be solidly behind the idea of a decentralized currency while both politicians and central banks are developing a myriad of excuses and “dangers”.
7385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very severe blow to bitcoin on: July 13, 2014, 08:55:12 AM
I think that as blockchain technology develops, it will become possible to design decentralized autonomous organizations that are more efficient than any traditional structure. Paying Gavin does not require a human middleman, at the very least.

In any event, Gavin's criticism was lack of transparency, not that the organization is centralized. I don't see how more transparency would make the Foundation less efficient. They shouldn't be planning the types of things that would fail under public scrutiny.

That makes sense since a DAC will provide an incentive to user in that ecosystem strangely enough even though Bitcoin is a new and emerging technology its going through another transition phase towards these 2.0 Variants so in the future it may be possible to have decentralized organizations in charge to fund projects.

Interesting stuff from a wired article on DAC's
http://www.wired.com/2014/07/inside-dark-wallet/

Taaki goes on to describe the bitcoin anarchist’s elusive ideal: decentralized, autonomous corporations whose equity is tracked in the bitcoin blockchain rather than in legal contracts and whose funds are held at a bitcoin address controlled in part by every stakeholder. With tricks like multisignature transactions, it’s theoretically possible to create accounts in which thousands of people control a pool of bitcoins simultaneously with no leader, and coins can only be moved when some majority agrees to cryptographically sign a transaction.

In that future, math and consensus, not violence, might govern the control of resources. The result, as Taaki describes it, would be a new society where code replaces courts and men with guns as the arbiter of civilization. “We have new tools, a new class of mathematical contracts, based on the incorruptible rules of the cosmos,” he says, his voice resonating through the empty building.
7386  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: July 13, 2014, 08:43:40 AM
after this 3-0 defeat the only thing Brazilian players should be cheering about is finally its over for them ... no more humiliation , they can take a sigh of relief now .
I still believe Netherlands deserved a place in finals more than Argentina. lets see.

This World Cup they will never forget, they lost in their home like this can't believe.

It's really big humiliation for them. They must apologize with their nation and fans.

It's worse than 1950
Broke their streak of winning home games
http://www.latintimes.com/brazil-vs-germany-world-cup-semifinal-can-germans-end-host-nations-nearly-40-year-winning-189614

One of the most impressive winning streaks in the world is on the line on Tuesday in the World Cup Semifinal match between Brazil and Germany. In unprecedented fashion, Brazil has not lost a competitive match on home soil in almost 40 years.

The last time Brazil lost was on September 30, 1975 to Peru. In that game, Brazil was well on its way to a 1-1 draw when stunningly; Peru scored two goals in the final eight minutes to beat Selecao 3-1. Since that day, Brazil has gone an impressive 45-0.

We all know what happened when the streak was broken it was destroyed (too bad though not even a medal to take home in the end)

# As for Qatar world cup they rather have good Air conditioning in that stadium!
7387  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Celebrate World Cup and get your FREE BTC HERE on: July 12, 2014, 09:54:30 PM
One more game to go!!

Yep just tomorrows game
It will be a fun match between Germany and Argentina
But Brazil was not able to salvage much pride this game.
7388  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: July 12, 2014, 09:48:57 PM
Well it doesn't feel like the score will change much now
Perhaps a momentum shift will happen but only 10 minutes remain in this match
Less the extra time

At the end it is a fair result. Netherlands have been quite good, and deserving of a 3rd spot.

Germany/Argentina and Netherlands as top 3. Had backed 2 out of those 3 initially Smiley

WE got a goal though 3 for Netherlands
A nations sorrow is complete this game is now over well it was a while ago but this goal has no controversy I think

Also as a note I just noticed a lot of FIFA ads no one bought the ad space for this game lol.

That took me a while to get read it al but it was worth the read. I don't necessarily agree with all of their thinking but they have ideas I do understand the end goal. I don't think I am in need of that much stealth for what I do.

Ditto I will give this a read later as well but thanks for reminding me to check out the next issue of Wired
Was reading about Occultus Rift and virtual reality becoming reality finally so they always have interesting articles.
Thanks for the share

Inb4 members post thinking xhamster.com is a pet store.

You took my line and I am familiar with that site ^_^
Good to hear though and Bitpay really is getting a lot of new users.

Inb4 members post thinking xhamster.com is a pet store.

Uh oh...now it's too late...I told my wife to go there without looking and told her to pick out whatever she wanted for when we move into our new house... Shocked Undecided

Smooth
7392  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 12, 2014, 10:51:11 AM
It's fine to post in off-topic as long as it's not exclusively in there. If you sign up for a sig deal and then immediately go reply to as many off topic threads as you can then you're very likely to get banned. The last person to ask in here if it was okay to post in off topic went and got himself banned within a few hours. If you do post in there though make sure it's not just short replies in silly threads. Put some thought into your responses and contribute to discussion and you'll be fine.

Yeah, that is what I thought.
Btw how you are "Staff" now?

Reported a lot of spam posts and the sort accurately and made the staff go a bit crazy XD
I kid but Theymos probably thought it made more sense to have him as a staff member than a reporter with all the posts he catches.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624427.msg7763245#msg7763245

1000 Posts = 1000 Reports ^_^

Well 1450 As of that Theymos post out of looks at H@C current 11321
So a pretty damn high ratio of 12%
7393  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are bitcoin bounties legal? on: July 12, 2014, 10:40:54 AM
They are fine especially when you have cases where you would need to find someone guilty of  something
I saw this thread and someone made a bounty using Bitcoin so it has precedence

Dear HEADHUNTERS,

43% of any btc I will be able to get back IF you find the identity of the thief!

If the whole amount will be returned to me (1170BTC) that would be 500BTC.

https://blockchain.info/nl/address/1GwNLwoCQiobJzmURSAq54vH4BYjFkwaxr

FIND HIM!!!

So yes this and the lerner e-mails would be good examples of a Bounty request in Bitcoins and should be legal.
7394  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Earth's Magnetic Field Is Weakening 10 Times Faster Now on: July 12, 2014, 10:19:47 AM
Been saying this for awhile now, we NEED to develop space flight as a species, it's necessary for our survival.

What we need is politicians who will prioritize space programs over nonsense wars. Space programs need big budgets.

What we need is politicians who dont have the power to control everything.  For all we know the elites already have space transportation ready.

We can have both we will call it the Gundam Universal Century Universe.
Good old war and gundams but yah I would love to see space travel more affordable efficient and faster.
Space X etc.

Anyone watch the movie 2012 is based on this theory. But the polar shifts happen only in one day. It would be catastrophic if this happen even in one month. There would be lots of earth quakes and mega tsunamis. Mankind could be extinct.

It's imposible that the Earth's magnetic field could trigger such catastrophic events: it's just too weak to affect huge land or water masses. Our planet is not magnetar.

Yah not enough magnetic effect to really impact earths magnetic field enough to cause catastrophes.
Mining or fracking would have more significant effects than a pole change.

That said I do have a curiosity would it impact any electronics in the very long run if the things were still fully operational.
7395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin faucet as a form of punishment on: July 12, 2014, 10:04:41 AM
If you want to make money from faucets, get yourself a good faucet rotator website, add a lot of relatively decent faucets, and get a lot of suckers newcomers to Bitcoin to use it. Then at least you can earn money from faucets without having to deal with the ads.

True lol.
The only reasonable way to earn from faucets is to refer newbies to those sites with your ref links. Grin

I feel like were evil Sr.Members but its true the newbies need to start somewhere and learn about Bitcoin
Easiest way is to set them off on a faucet hunt Smiley

Although the only one I liked really was the one where I watched videos
http://www.bitcoinget.com/?r= Insert Bitcoin Address here
Lol not that its worth much at all just because it was easy and sometimes I liked the vids that and the accumulator doesn't forget Bitcoin addresses so you can come back whenever with that address lol.
7396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now is like MP3s were in 1995.. on: July 12, 2014, 10:00:33 AM
Good times. I remember swapping floppy disks (you youngsters can look'em up on wikipedia) with new songs for friends to listen to. If you crunched them down below 48 kbit/s you could actually fit more than one song per floppy disk!

I used to take a stack of floppys into college to download as many mp3's as I could on my lunch breaks due to their slightly faster connection! zip that shit for maximum music!

Then the zipdrive came out  Grin

Did compressing the MP3s actually save any space? MP3s use lossy compression so zipping shouldn't be all that effective, if at all. Perhaps the lossy compression wasn't so great in '95 times. Christ, it's just dawned on me that's almost 20 years ago O_O!

Welcome to the feeling like a 80s or 90s kid.
Where AOL was the internet, Windows 95 was amazing! (Ok still is in a sense lol) and Boy Meets World was still around before the next gen Girl meets World right now &_&.

# and think your right on the mp3 part.
7397  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does Kurd deserve their own country ? on: July 12, 2014, 09:58:59 AM
Kurds was cheated after World War I.
They received false promise from World powers that they will get their own country when WW I end and Turkish empire collapse, but this didn't happen and France and England divided between themselves Iraq, Iran, Palestine, Israel and other Arabic area.
It will be justice for Kurds now if this injustice from Paris conference in 1920 will be corrected now.
I don't think that Iraq have much chance to survive as united country now, anyway.

Pretty naive to think the world has room for justice.

Just about every successful country fought for their own land and make a great deal of sacrifice doing it. Even if Kurds is freely given some land that don't belong to them, how long do you think they can maintain it before being taken away by another stronger neighbors?

Cough I had a feeling you were hinting at Israel there Smiley

But true enough the Kurds need a strong army to handle the other countries that said they have a few good things going for them one secure enough oil supplies two a fairly stable country/economic situation compared to Iraq, three they are not Israel lol. (mean they have a lot of people of a similar enough ethnic background to other nearby countries)

With those factors it should not be impossible for them to stabilize a nation if they aren't destroyed by a powerful outside cough (westernized) influence.

My apologies bro

Like the others assume internal steal second ask for an IP trace from dropbox if they have logs and third offline that computer as vital evidence might be on it.

Possibly check with the Bitcoin Gambling Sites and see if an address matches lol.

I can't do much myself but posted in the ARG puzzle thread since somehow people were able to solve it perhaps they can help with the mystery good luck.
