With the loss of Cleveland Cavaliers today, the Boston Celtics is now holding the number 1 spot for the first time and I hope they will continue winning to retain that spot and I would say it's another great achievement for this team.

The loss of cavaliers clearly showed that they are fully dominated by the western team, and I hope people would not think that Cleveland do it on purpose to avoid facing the Miami Heat in the 1st round which also dominated them in their last two match ups.

Currently, they are 5-5 in their last 10 games compared to Boston who goes 8-2 which is pretty impressive.
7382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: March 28, 2017, 07:42:39 AM
Holding bitcoins on a long term basis would be the best way to gain more returns.Holding in short term basis would be beneficial only for altcoins as their price is so volatile. We could see the steady rise of bitcoin price from the last six months irrespective of ETF disapproval,BU.

I could not agree more.  This current dips in price is just a test on the threshold of the holders. Weak hands dump, strong hand hold, faithful hand buy.  We can see developers actively developing and updating Bitcoin with the best possible way they can.  This drama will eventually end, either thru soft fork or hardfork and a possible of chain-split.  After this incident we can see Bitcoin to scale and start  increasing its price again.
It's happening already, the worries are now all gone as bitcoin is starting to get back to the top and as expected the value of ETH and DASH are doing the opposite. To hold for a long time is good but it's very challenging, you need to be fully knowledgeable with the real market for you to still hold regardless of the negative rumors you will hear. Time and time we've seen this kind of scenario but bitcoin never fail to go up every time it goes down.
7383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: March 28, 2017, 03:15:42 AM
Gambling is not easy to quit or stop to do because once you are become addictive, I think  gamble is such an investment.Maybe it is part of their life because it helps them escape other problems they have going on in their lives, or relieves boredom way of escaping from stress or worries. ..Some others maybe just a fun..

I'm sure it will not deliver what you expected, it can never help you escape from any problems in life, in fact it will give you additional problem because when you have a problem and you gamble you are weak and because of your situation you might easily be addicted. Giving up is basically accepting your
defeat and it's really hard because we are gambling with hard earned money and also we lost time and get nothing out of it.
7384  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: March 28, 2017, 02:59:37 AM
Exactly, so I would not agree seeing a bitcoin bank that defeats the purpose of bitcoin. We want freedom and we can only have that when
bitcoin will continue to be purely decentralized. Banks will make it centralized and we will all be required to pass on the requirements like the documentation and everything to comply with the AMLC and prevent money laundering.

Services acting as Bitcoin bank don't go against the purpose of Bitcoin at all. It is nothing more than an optional service that you can use if you so wish. If you don't want to make use of it, then you don't have to. I think that's the pure definition of freedom, right? No one will be forcing you to make use of it. I personally wouldn't make use of such a service, but if others will do so, then why should that be a problem?
I agree, it is upon on the person if he would like to use that service,. However, using bitcoin bank would be more convinient for every bitcoin holders to easily withdraw and deposit their money using fiat money to be converted into btc vice versa. If botcoin bank come, the market of bitcoin would certainly spread.
I don't have any problem with my local exchange now and honestly, it's fast as withdrawing in bank because I can do it only and withdraw cash to a designated ATM. I don't know what will change with the advent of Bitcoin Bank if so happen in the future but I'm pretty sure it will not be popular.

People would rather preserve their personal information and not entrust the bank on it, without a bank we can do away with taxes and we can freely spend our bitcoins without limitation as long as we are responsible in doing it.
7385  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: March 27, 2017, 08:22:17 AM
Right now I am having around BTC0.30 in all my wallets. It is quite low, as I don't have any source for BTC other than my sig campaign. Also, previously I was immediately converting my BTCs to fiat as soon as I receive the coins on my wallet.
Most of us do convert our earnings automatically because we really need the money but that can be minimize if we have the right discipline to save.
Now that the value is increasing I guess we should take a serious steps to benefit also in the future, we do not need to save a big amount abruptly
but slowly saving over a long period of time can always help.

We have to be consistent enough with saving bitcoin as this currency is not like fiat which is subject to inflation, with bitcoin you can be sure it will grow overtime and the more you hold you will be more value in return.
7386  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: March 27, 2017, 07:54:52 AM
21 million coins is not enough to serve a country talkless of becoming world currency, I think we should start using Satoshi count more than the word Bitcoin. We also need fiat especially for the non-tech people
It's not the volume that matters but the value, the total supply is limited but it can serve as many people who wants to buy it, the only thing that
will happen is while the demand is increasing the value will grow. If that will happen, the first group that will benefit is the investors who are
holding thing bitcoins for a longer term, so if you believe we will come to that situation in the future you should consider risking your money to bitcoin now.
7387  Economy / Economics / Re: Make money from money on: March 27, 2017, 05:50:57 AM
i usually do this . im investing on a business with my income so it literally im making money from money also. it's just a cycle and i can say that it's has more advantage than investing on a business with a loan money. much better if you make money from your own income and make again another money from the future income waiting for you.

Its never wise to take a loan and invest that money as if your investment goes wrong then it will become difficult for you to repay the amount with additional interest so the best thing would be to save enough money on regular basis and once you reach to good level of savings you can start investing that money.
That's a big gamble but if you are confident enough with your investment then why refrain from doing it, everything has a risk and only those who
are willing to take the risk will able to get the reward. If it's in my situation and i fee like I have like 80% of success I would certainly borrow money
and aggressively jump on that investment. I know there are people who would prefer to play safe but if you dream big you need to risk big.
7388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: March 27, 2017, 05:29:35 AM
Los Angeles Lakers vs Portland Trailblazers, I think the odds are good for Trailblazers to win @ 1.45x.  Trailblazers seem to be in a good form and have had a good run in the past 10 games, winning 7 out of 10 games. Lakers on the other hand, have won just twice in previous 10 games. It's happening in Staples Center but I feel Trailblazers should win this with ease.
It is at L.A home town and in front of their fans so they will try and make an effort to please them.
They do score a lot of points (from what I remember of there last game I bet on and won a good amount). But yes they are no match for Portland cause they are a cohesive team when they are dominant the way they played yesterday.
My bet would be over on points tonight in this game.
Let's hope for a win for all who placed this bet. Wink
The game went under, Lakers were hype when they won on their last match but they are facing now a healthy portland squad with a mission to win.
It was a great game for the Blazers indeed and I personally won the -6 ATS with no sweat at all. Easy game as I can call it and backing with Blazers has been very profitable as the playoffs is incoming.
7389  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 27, 2017, 03:42:22 AM
Saving in the bank is important most especially for emergency purposes. Now, there are now banks which offered better rates. Here in my country, cooperatives are offering higher returns especially on time deposits. Now, spread your money by also buying gold, stocks and yes also Bitcoin as it can indeed be giving a good rate of return because of its volatility. Just be careful, though.
The rates offered is very low compared to what you can earn if you will risk your money in real investment, putting our money in banks only safeguard
our money and investors knew that. Me, I have a bank account but I do not consider the amount I earn as interest is big enough, I do focus more on
trading and investing for my earning and honestly I do save only in bank for security purpose. At least I'm sure my money is covered with deposit insurance.
7390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 27, 2017, 02:24:33 AM
If you jump into trading without any knowledge and skills then there will be no difference between trading and gambling as in both cases you are depending only on luck to make profits which can be really risky so its always good to get into trading only after learning and gaining some knowledge about the market.
That's a very dangerous move, I guess we can barely see that kind of people who's into trading that does not understand that assets they are trading.
It's different in gambling because even if you will not do enough research as long as you enjoy the game you'll probably last without minding your
loses.

Trading also is risky but it's not gambling for the information of everyone, in fact we can have a long term success in trading which is hard to do in gambling.
7391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: March 26, 2017, 09:49:47 AM
When you can play with your profit do it, you don't need to risk your money anymore, if you lose the profit at least you won't lose the initial money you risked before.
But don't go so far, because you can end without profit and profit is our goal when gambling, doesn't make sense to play until the last satoshi and finish without any profit.

if this is what you do then you can only playing with small bets, but for me, i will not play with my profit since its only small money, but i will stick with my base bets. playing with base bet could have bigger chance than only play with our profit, because we still can play and save our profit until its big so we can withdraw and still use our base bet to continue played.
I guess what is important is to have a good amount of bankroll and that entire bankroll of yours should be manage properly. If you play for profit
the more you need to manage it and I'll tell you based on my experience that small bankroll will only frustrate you especially if you have a big goal
of amount to win. A successful gambler should be realistic with his approach, we need money to make money here and therefore we should set what is needed.

yeah you're right and we should not make a big goal if our money is not big because its too difficult to get big money for gambling with small money. but for have a good amount of bankroll, i think there is depend on how much we want to use our money in gambling games so we can trying to manage it.
You'll be able to get a good amount of money if you are lucky in gambling but chances are very low especially coming from a small amount
of bankroll. There are gamblers who are making real money but they raised a good bankroll because it's their job and they are making a living on it.
Honestly, I want to make a fortune in gambling and I believe some gamblers also but it seems like this is an impossible mission to make.
7392  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: March 26, 2017, 09:34:10 AM
There is an upcoming price decrease that will happen sooner and the best way is to stock your dollars and get ready for that event. It will happen when the Hardfork will be officially released and will cause a stir in the community and will cause some panic selling.

you sound like a guy with a time machine so i would like to ask you: where did you buy it? because i would love to buy myself one to put on my balcony and know the upcoming "price decreases" and "hard forks" with the level of certainty you are talking about them!!!
Let's just see what will happen, that fear is not going to happen as bitcoin will always stay at a very stable price we see right now.
Why would anyone panic when the price is still at it's best, we see how the price pump and dump and there is no special with that, it happens
all the time. When you panic that will be the end as I'm sure when it happens, whales will only benefit on the situation and take advantage of the weak
holders.
7393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: March 26, 2017, 08:13:04 AM
Nobody gets addicted to gambling on their own consent, it is greed which makes them do it regularly.
Whether it is a win or a loss, both are different situation and will influence the person in different ways.
When someone wins, they think that they might try their hands on it due to having luck, but who knows next, still they gamble.
When they lose, they would definitely give it a try to recover back their past loss on their next winning, the same applies to the rest.
Sad but it's the reality, when we lose we always chase our loses as we gamblers wants to be in the winning side always.
Being addicted is a bad situation as all your strategies and analysis would not work, it's your emotion that will dictate it all and you'll never
gonna have a win if you do gambling like that. The thing is, we love to win but we do not have the right skills to win, winning is only for awhile
because eventually we will just lose all our money. It's okay to lose because it's part of the game already but to be addicted is not what we are hoping.
7394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 26, 2017, 07:29:11 AM
Yes, trading is gambling since you take chances with the commodities or currencies market. You can loose everything and gain everything just as in hard core gambling so I will classify it as gambling too.

There is a vast difference between trading and gambling and cannot be treated as same as gambling is totally dependent on luck and no strategy can help you in winning or making profits but in trading if you have a good knowledge about the market and if you have a good strategy then there is always a chance of making decent profits on regular basis.
Trading and gambling differ by the way it's used to make profit. Gambling as said completely depends upon the luck even though we make strategies. One thing that makes trading better is the handful of opportunities that we get to minimize the loss with several business tactics.
But there are gambling games that do need experience but most of the time it does need luck for you to be able to make profits and you are right they have different way on making profit since on trading you can possible maximize your profits depending on how you gonna trade and how will you create your own trading pattern or styles which would give you decent income on it even on long term basis which isnt possible on gambling.
If it does need experience you need to play it only for fun, you won't win if you lack experience and skills in gambling, this is the hardest venture in
our life which most of period who tried to win suffers the lose in the long run. Trading can give us a good chance to make money and as long as we
keep educating ourselves, eventually we will learn and be stable with our strategies to be successful in the long run.

Simple analysis is what you need, look at the comparison of the two, in gambling there are a lot of people telling they cannot win but in trading there's plenty of people trading is the key to make a good amount of money.
They deserved it because they work hard for it, bitcoin is really a good source of income as a small reward here could be big already for us especially if you are a student and you are just an easy go lucky guy. As for me, I cannot do things like that, I have a family so I need to focus on their needs
than my wants, I also spend sometimes for myself because I believe we also need to be rewarded for our hard work but that was only a little portion of my income.
7396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: March 25, 2017, 04:59:25 AM
If governments banned bitcoin, it wouldn't last long. The price would drop down to nothing most likely, but I think we are far enough along that this would not happen.

First of all, not ALL the governments are going to ban the crypto-currency. Even if they ban them, the vast majority of the third world nations lack the resources to implement such a ban. Do you really think that a country like Somalia, which is embroiled in civil war right now is going to detain and prosecute thousands of people just for using Bitcoin?
yes that can be right to say i think not a single governments is going to banned bitcoin i think
The system is not the main problem, it's the users because there are those who take advantage of the system of bitcoin and uses it in illegal activities.
Of course if you think it very clear anything can be use in illegal activities including fiat, this will not be ban as long as it will not create a massive panic and most users are willing to comply with the law of the government. Taxes and money laundering are the main issues but if that is properly regulated, there would be no problem at all.
7397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: March 24, 2017, 08:25:28 AM
I think yes because as of now many bitcoin gambling sites are accepting bitcoin if you will look on this forum so I think yes, but In real world only fiat will be the only one because the value of it is not pumping and dumping.
Gamblers main objective to gamble and all they want is to look for a site that could give them a convenience when gambling and bitcoin has offered that to them and they adopt it. The price volatility or the pumping and dumping as you said is not a big problem because any time they would convert their bitcoin to fiat and knowing that there is an equal movement of that pump and dump, it will not make them deficit.
7398  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: March 24, 2017, 07:55:14 AM
Congratulations to the winner you do your best .. in gambling you can win or lose and if you are lucky your good . you cannot sure your win in gambling because you spend a lot of money.. If i win 300btc the  200btc i will saved to my wallet and 100btc in gambling because its good to saved money than play all money in gambling.

Bitdice seems to be good dice and roll gambling here. Simply he can put his 100$ and he can gambling. Please do not use Autobot option when you gamble using big amounts. Last we saw 100 btc winner also. Best of luck for the bitdice casino members. So far I have used .0.03 btc in gambling but I lost all using auto bot option in dice. Is there any option to win frequent? Please suggest.
I also do not use auto bot as I know it cannot think and cannot handle the situation coming to us in different timing of rolling dice. You lost only small money for that money anyone will use auto bot but for higher amount like 100 BTC only fool will go for that option.
I find it not fun when using bot every time I gamble, I tried it at first but then I get bored in the long run. I believe playing dice needs luck and luck is always in our hands and not in the bot to manage our betting preference. High rollers win big amount because they risk bigger money so that's not something special, it so happen that they can afford what they bet. Let's just stay our comfort level to be safe and to stay entertain.
7399  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: March 24, 2017, 05:43:22 AM
hell yeah, amigo! if the price goes a little bit near $100 I would probably use all my $$$ to grab those coins. But well well well... are we dreaming here? dropping its price to nearly $100 is very impossible.

Yes, you are dreaming because it's impossible to happen, it's not going to happen for sure. Consider a golden chance to have bitcoin pricing 1000$ to buy it in time and continue holding until these nasty news about bu pass away.
I'm sure the classical bitcoin will continue as the main currency of all crypto currencies.
I would not say it's impossible because everything is possible in bitcoin, we hit a good price and there is a chance to hit the lowest price as well.
The only thing is that if one would wait for that price to happen before buying, he might miss the opportunity to earn actively and take advantage of the volatility of bitcoin's price, I for sure when the price falls that low would also consider buying, we know how the bitcoin perform so eventually it will rise again.
7400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: March 24, 2017, 05:17:41 AM
Yes of course they make sense you can't be like other's who have huge funds of course everyone has their own limits so normally what will happen if you deposited 10$   you will get 11$ while people who invested will get 110$. The return is same but you could only invest what you had so think in that way.
invest only the amount that you can afford to lose that's the general rules of investing, just like you've said mate its only differ with how much earnings will be collected or gained by those who invested much bigger with the same investment system  with you.
Yes that's true and luckily i do follow that most important rule of investing and haven't experienced much losses till now. But i hope you are also aware that in order to gain something or profit taking risk is really important

Investing what you can afford to lose was the general rule for hyip/ponzi. Don't apply it on normal investment because all bussinessman are ready to risk and know what will gonna happened if they lose their investment even though they can't afford to lose it. I do agree that risk is always there in avail to have a profit
That is the general rule for me and even in normal investment, though you risk money but it should be what you can afford to loss.
And who said that investing in HYIP/PONZI are worth, it's never because it will just scam you and that would not help you to grow as an investor.
Life is all about taking risk and we know that but it should be ensure that we are taking a calculated risks.
