741  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Lamborghini Giveaway! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🥊 🎲 on: August 15, 2020, 09:26:04 PM
What could stake gain from people trying and trying until they find the correct max amount?

Not claiming that Stake intends anything with it at all, but it can be a tool to get rid of unwanted customers. Because at some point these customers are so annoyed, that they don't bother anymore playing there with trial and error method Grin
Sportsbet takes away max bet buttons for certain customers on an individual basis, but at least they tell you the max bet, if you submitted a bet above the max.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Betting & Discussion] Chinese Basketball Association - Rest of 2019/2020 Season on: August 15, 2020, 06:29:52 PM
Nice way to end the season with a win. I was going to take them pre live but the odds went down to 1.2 so I was banking on them to go down early and they did. I manage to grab the match winner at 1.4. I didn't put too much but it's still a nice boost for my bankroll.  Cheesy

Hehe, well done Smiley Thats how it should be - look for good pre-match odds and try to get even better odds inplay.

In Q4 Guangdong gave us a little scare, because their Superstar Yi Jianlian (some might still know him from NBA) went down with achilles tendon rupture and this could have turned the game around, but Guangdong fought trough it and won 123-115 FT. This injury is maybe career-ending for him, since he is probably way older than what public sources say Grin

Profit: +8.10
Yield: 7.24%
W-L: 13-13
Win rate: 50.00%
Average Stake: 4.30
Average Odds: 2.35

Not great stats, but ok. 2020/2021 season starts in October iirc, so I will probably be back then with a few bets here and there, though I am aware it's hard to follow the bets with the same-ish odds, which is very important longterm. Teams should look very different and this will for sure give some good opportunities in the beginning of the season at least.
743  Local / Announcements (Deutsch) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⭐ XAYA - Echtes Blockchain Gaming - Mainnet live on: August 15, 2020, 12:43:47 PM

Xaya & Polkadot ?

Is there any possibility to see the max bet amount for selections ? Tried to place a 5mBTC bet, which was rejected. Then lowered the amount by 0.5mBTC always and the bet was finally accepted for 1mBTC after 8 tries, which is a bit weary tbh Smiley

And I found the option to display my funds in USD, but there is no option to show it in mBTC, right ?
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 14, 2020, 07:33:01 PM
This is what I have collected thus far:

Consensus found on three games, but morvillz7z & JanpriX could spoil the party still: St. Petersburg, ManCity and Rosenborg. The Sydney match will be interesting, because they have been doing really poor recently, but are already locked in first place, while WU can still move up the rankings.

It's really interesting to see, to how many different conclusions we few people come already. So one can imagine how easy it is for the bookmakers to balance their book for most of the matches. For those "obvious" wins, where balancing is difficult, they just offer low-ish odds and thus have a value bet or hedge in other places. Like Bertholt Brecht said:

Guangdong - Liaoning ML Guangdong @1.36 8/10

Last game of this season and I have written about Guangdong often times. They are by far the best team in CBA and they own every opponent (but Beijing). Why is the series tied at 1-1 then ? Looks like they wanted a third game for whatever reason. They were in control in game #2 already with 20pts up late in the third quarter, but then played a bit strange and didn't seem to keen to get the Championship just yet; lost Q4 with 20-34. But for me there is no doubt, that they will be crowned champions tomorrow and for this to happen, they have to win tomorrow.

These are small odds of course, but maybe something to put in some parlay. Good luck
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 13, 2020, 03:13:22 PM
Can you share a little bit more information about this?

No, but this is just for sportsbet.io of course, not sportsbetio.uk. The german SB representative posted it in our local board (they wanted to sponsor a Bundesliga tipping competition). I didn't hear about any new regulations recently and also can't find anything in the bigger betting forums. There is always something brewing at least here, but with few results and betting companies suing authorities and what else. But it was said, that 2021 is the earliest when new regulations would come - maybe it's just precaution from SB/Stake.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 13, 2020, 01:57:58 PM
Also with you mentioning everytime you are posting the weekend list, it isn't about being lazy for those who don't choose to write their picks each and every week.
It is a matter of having the time to. Cheesy
But if you do, then by all means go ahead. Each and everybody is free to do it how they would like to post their picks for this weekly competition.
I just find it more convenient for myself to just take them directly from the site since I have been doing this way from the very start of this thread.
But it is all down to personal preference. We're all individuals and that would reflect in each and all of our selections as well. Smiley

Sorry if you felt offended by it, won't happen again and I didn't mean to discredit anyone.

SB will drop out of USA, UK, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands and Estonia, so thats it anyway with the MM. Good luck for those for whom it will be the last chance as well this weekend Smiley
750  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: August 13, 2020, 12:51:48 PM
It wasn't like that in first series, (...)

Yes, it's new for this series. And in this series, everyone who can still make the Grand Final was itm at least once during the 7 tournaments. But in season 2 we had @CCwatcher420, who qualified for Grand Final, but didn't cash there and also didn't cash in any of the qualifiers. So he never got any money back, although playing good poker, which seemed a bit unfair (well Poker is of course not always fair).

It was brought up here and I thought it was a good idea, without thinking any further about the logistics behind it. And in season 1, the finals were not played simultaneously, so wouldn't have been an issue.

the small final isn't huge from an EV standpoint, less than a buy-in. i'm not too worried about it. tbh, i was fine with just requiring 1 qualifier and letting everyone play, vs barring the top 3 from the championship.
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 13, 2020, 10:41:29 AM
I am happy that PSG turned the game around. Not because I like them or dislike Atalanta, but because of the cowardish play from Atalanta in second half; this should always get punished. When a huge underdog does it, I am maybe fine with it, but with two evenly matched teams, this is just pathetic. Keep on playing your game, go for the 2-0, then you can park the bus.
It's of course not that easy, if a world class team like PSG is pushing, but at least try and don't be so passive all the time.

For todays match I like Atletico to qualify for 1.6+. They are the more experienced and mature team. No Werner is a big blow for Leipzig imo - not only did he score a lot, but he also made the players around him stronger, by dragging defenders away.
Should be a boring game with few goals, which will probably go into ET.
752  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: August 13, 2020, 10:09:20 AM
What about losers tournament? I would love to have that at same time as main final so I can keep one eye on the pros while chilling on the other table with my fellow losers.

In general this a good idea, the only problem is, that non-Top3 players from Grand Final are also eligible for small final, so this doesn't work unless all Grand Final players agree to forfeit that spot.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: August 11, 2020, 09:58:24 PM
Here are the odds for the semifinals:

Source: https://www.oddsportal.com/soccer/europe/europa-league/

Inter game looks fairly priced, like the over here though at 1.7+, but you will get better odds for that inplay most likely. ManU looks a bit low, Sevilla are the EL heroes and tough to beat (lost only the meaningless game @Apoel in group stage) and this strikes me as a very draw-ish game, which will go into overtime, 0-0 or 1-1 is my call.
754  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Geschichten über Dummheiten und Möchtegern-Millionäre on: August 11, 2020, 07:27:22 PM
Also wo legt man Daten ab?

755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: August 11, 2020, 07:10:34 PM
Biden has selected his running mate and judging by the odds movements (there are always people with some insider information), it will be Susan Rice - he will announce it later today, lets see. Unfortunately I can't access the Betfair charts (if someone can, please post a screenshot here), but in the last screenshot I took end of July, Rice was 5+. In a screenshot from April, she isn't visible so must have been 30+. Good bet missed Grin

Edit: Well he picked Harris actually Cheesy
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 11, 2020, 11:21:11 AM
Was just about to post this, here for the lazy ones^^

FC Barcelona - FC Bayern Munchen
Perugia Calcio Spa - Delfino Pescara 1936
Puebla FC - CF Pachuca
Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo - Kawasaki Frontale
Sydney FC - Western United
FK Lokomotiv Moscow - FC Krasnodar
FC Rostov - FK Zenit Saint Petersburg
Manchester City - Olympique Lyonnais
Coritiba FC PR - CR Flamengo Rj
CF Monterrey - Necaxa
Kashima Antlers - Vissel Kobe
Qingdao Huanghai FC - Beijing Guoan
Almería - Girona
Rosenborg BK - Aalesunds FK
Real Zaragoza - Elche CF

This is a wild mix this time with games from 10 different countries/leagues Shocked And having mexican games is a first I think.

I would like to have an over/under 2.5 MM. SB can maybe put 20 games in it to lower the chances of someone winning the 3 BTC, but would be great/more fun imo and provide some variety.

I'll go with barca this time because there is always a few upsets and of course those pesky draw matches to guess who will have em.

Don't think Barca will win inside 90 minutes, Bayern just too good atm, draw is better, if you look to have something unique Smiley I would look for big-ish upsets in leagues that just started, like BRA/RUS.

Quote
Here are the details.

1) Bought 9,000 BTC on one of the exchanges over time.
2) Transferred them to my client running on a linux live CD distro of Debian.
3) Backed up the wallet file to a flash drive.
4) Sent 1 BTC to myself
5) Closed client before any confirmations
6) Shut down system (wiped system disk loaded into memory and therefore the ./bitcoin folder
7) Loaded system back up
Cool Copied old wallet.dat file into ./bitcoin folder
9) After some confirmations appeared the balance was 1 BTC and there was a transaction saying I spent 8,900 BTC to an address I did not recognize
10) I read on the forum threads that people have had problems like this but it seemed only when they were trying to double-spend by sending coins to another address and reloading an old wallet file

Is there anything I can do?

I do have the address that the 8,900 were supposedly sent to but the old wallet file is gone for good.

Thanks,
Stone Man

Quelle: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/167ZWTT8n6s4ya8cGjqNNQjDwDGY31vmHg

Autsch.

Quelle: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nano/

Gibt so Sachen, da kann man machen, was man will, ist immer falsch.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: August 10, 2020, 10:59:39 AM
Inter odds look indeed quite good on paper (I like the to qualify @1.55+ more than the win), but we should not forget, that Leverkusen has a bit of a home advantage. It's just 50km from Leverkusen to Düsseldorf, they know the pitch, the stadium and locker rooms, they played there already this season, they certainly feel more at home than Inter. These are just little details, but something to have in mind, though it's priced in already.

-

I like the under in ManU game, maybe the under 3 for around 1.90. Copenhagen will park the bus imo and they are under-ish team in general. ManU otoh does score a lot in UEFA competitions at home, but in away games, they are often very minimalistic (forget the LASK match^^) and do just what is needed to get the job done.
Playing unders is meh though Grin

Source: https://www.uci.org/

Cycling was for a long time my favourite sport to watch and to bet on. I always adored the cyclists for their dedication, idealism and willingness to suffer. And cyclists are tough as nails - I always laugh at footballers lying on the pitch, screaming and doing Hollywood with minor injuries Cheesy When there is some crash, the first thing these people do, is to look for their bike, because they want to keep going and not lose any time.

Source: https://www.pinterest.de/pin/569423946607544568/

Cycling is, to the surprise of a lot of people, a team sport in the end. Even the best rider is nothing without a team behind to provide support.

The season is underway again and there is a tight calendar:

Source: https://www.procyclingstats.com/races.php

The betting markets have changed a lot over the years and this is a very small market now, even for one of the biggest sport events worldwide every year, the Tour de France. Still there are some good bets to be found and I will post a pick here every now and then. The betting limits are rather small-ish, so this is nothing for highrollers, but you can work with a double digit yield, which compensates the lower stakes a bit.

Feel free to post your picks as well or discuss the races, good luck.
