741  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC requirement from ICOs will open up a whole news area of scam on: March 10, 2018, 10:15:17 PM
The requirement to pass the KYC test from the ICO companies is really a big problem for investors in such ICO campaigns, as well as for the participants of the generosity campaign. Of the 902 ICO campaigns conducted last year. about a third turned out to be fraudulent. This means that if these ICO companies demanded the provision of certain identification data and copies of passports to investors and bounty hunters, these persons transferred them directly to criminals. The problem is that nobody checks the participants of these companies and they try to collect such personal data. This is in any case wrong.

A serious problem is that. that ICO companies are beginning to require the provision of identifying information and copies of documents to the signatory campaign participants at the stage when the ICO campaign has already ended and it is necessary to pay counted tokens. After presenting such requirements to the participant of the signature campaign, there is no longer any right to provide such data or not. If they refuse to provide them, they simply do not pay the earned tokens. I believe that such requirements are presented at this stage in order not to pay out parts of the campaign to the signatures of the tokens they counted and then assign them to themselves. Practically this is a common fraud.

744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: February 28, 2018, 06:32:17 AM
Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink
Probably, you live in a city where on every corner there are crypto-cash ATMs and outlets that directly accept bitcoin as a means of payment. Unfortunately, there are few such places on Earth yet and it is unlikely that a person's need will be limited only by these interests. There are many different situations in which a crypto currency will not be able to replace conventional money, or individual categories of citizens will not want or will not be able to use it. You can not all be equal only to your narrow interests. I believe that the crypto currency can only go along with ordinary paper money.
745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: February 28, 2018, 06:16:21 AM
Restricting the currency inside the country, the Chinese government indicated that the crypto currency is a threat to the country's economy because it allows uncontrolled withdrawal of funds outside the country. Another motivation was that the crypto currency could be used by criminals. Because it is anonymous for transactions. After the December surge in bitcoin in price, some countries began to restrict the circulation of bitcoin due to the fact that it proved to be a usual financial bubble. It explained its actions by the need to protect the interests of its citizens.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Negative Impression: False Hope about Huge Payout after a Successful ICOs on: February 27, 2018, 06:23:01 PM
Yes, the reduction in the amount of remuneration after the successfully completed ICO actually takes place. And you start asking the team why they did it, they say - we will remove from participation in generosity. It turns out that the campaign participants in the signature are essentially completely disenfranchised. The team first promises big payments to attract the participants of the signature campaign, and after the completion of the ICO at its discretion changes the rules to make payments less. It is necessary to regulate the ICO in this matter.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: How search bounty legit or scam?? on: February 27, 2018, 06:05:11 PM
From the Scam there is no insurance only at your own risk.
Indeed, it's like playing roulette, you can win, or you can lose. It happens that the necessary and well-thought-out projects of the ICO do not succeed and do not collect sufficient funds, but, on the contrary, they do not do anything remarkable-they succeed. And fraudulent projects are sometimes impossible to distinguish. Of course, you need to get acquainted with the documents of ICO and his team, but this does not give a complete guarantee that the ICO will not be fraudulent.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest problem of altcoins on: February 27, 2018, 05:29:53 PM
Yes, it should be acknowledged that the biggest problem of altcoyins is the price dependence on the bitcoin course. Now, when exactly bitcoin had problems, almost all the crypto-currency market froze for two months already. Perhaps the solution to this problem is to, say, bitcoin be excluded from price pairs on exchanges and exchangers? Leave for this ethereum, a few more worthy coins, and bitcoin to remove altogether. Maybe then, if it does not, then dependence will be weakened.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple (XRP) ever go back to $3 again? Can it recover? on: February 27, 2018, 06:22:50 AM
Soon the crypto-currency market should come alive and ripple, like most other coins should grow well in price. Recently, not only the world banks, but also large financial corporations became interested in this coin. This coin, despite being completely centralized, has a very good chance of success. Therefore it is quite possible that by the summer of this year the ripple will again reach its previous price record, and maybe even further. Everything will depend on the general state of the crypto-currency market.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence on: February 26, 2018, 05:41:54 AM
I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

I thinks, KYC in airdrops is not an appropriate because its only a free token or coin,so why should they need to submitt our own information, and by this means of rule requirments maybe its our identity will become not anonymous and transparent, and the most vigorous of this it will make treaten our life and investment  soon, because more people knows about your personality, more  people scammers or phishing site's will hacking your personality account.

Why is the kyc even needed they claim that it just to follow instructions or the law, I feel kyc is only needed for those who invest a lot of money to be able to investigate if their sources are pure. Not for free coins worth pennies, I hope we all stand against this, and a change can be quickly made.

KYC is needed because some countries have banned their citizens to participate in ICO , surely airdrops often are part of ICOs and I believe airdrops could easily be mentioned in such laws as well. Project management is responsible of complying with these laws and the only proper way of doing it is KYC.  Because of this KYC will not be going anywhere, the opposite is going to happen - we will see it more often.

My advice do not participate in shady airdrops.
I do not agree that the KYC requirement should also apply to members of the generosity campaign. Some countries have indeed banned their citizens from participating in the ICO. However, this ban applies only to the process of investing in the ICO, the ban is aimed at protecting citizens of their countries from investing in fraudulent ICO projects. Therefore, KYC should not apply to those persons who do not invest in ICO, that is, participants in the campaign of generosity. which only publicly advertise specific ICO projects. It is necessary to understand this difference.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: February 26, 2018, 05:26:53 AM
While there are no compelling reasons for ICO to die, especially this year, no. ICO campaigns live and thrive. Their number is constantly growing. Last year alone, there were 902 ICOs. This is a fairly large figure. Now there are definitely big problems with trust in the ICO campaigns, about a third of them have signs of fraud, but I think that this process will soon be subject to regulation. On this account, there are various options, let's see which one will be implemented.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you think about the forkdelta?? on: February 25, 2018, 03:01:09 PM
We really need a variety in exchangers and exchanges, because only then will we avoid such overloads, which recently arose on EtherDelta. I have not yet used ForkDelta, but I will definitely come and see. It is very good that in us the number of such exchanges is growing, where it is possible to exchange ERC20 tokens.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new ICO 2.0 concept will prevent scams! on: February 25, 2018, 02:39:53 PM
This autumn is a good idea. ICO 2.0 seems to be able to solve problems with fraud in this area of investment. Freezing the funds collected as a result of the ICO and partially thawing them in stages to implement the project idea is very good control, which can rule out massive frauds among ICO campaigns.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do people think about all the ICO's now requiring KYC? on: February 25, 2018, 02:26:12 PM
If some governments require the conduct of KYC from citizens who invest their money in the ICO campaign, there is nowhere to go. There is a fight against money laundering. However, I am against the need for ICO companies to pass a KYC test in the generosity campaigners who do not invest their money. Especially if such a test is carried out without warning even after the end of the ICO campaign, when the meaning of such a check is completely eliminated. This is already similar to fraud on the part of the ICO campaign, they thus do not pay the already earned tokens to those who refuse to provide their identification data and copies of passports
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: February 25, 2018, 08:09:10 AM
To invest in ICO, you need to thoroughly study its project and team, since such an investment represents an increased risk of fraud. If someone does not like to risk, then a better option for him will be investing in bitcoin or well-known altcoyins. The risk rises when investing in little-known coins, but these coins sometimes bring good profits. Here, everyone is able to choose the ways of investing and the degree of risk while doing so.
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will Ethereum reach 1200 again? on: February 22, 2018, 09:40:31 PM
We can now see that as soon as the common crypto-currency market rises, it grows in price and ethereum. When the market falls, it goes down in value and ethereum. Therefore, ethereum will grow in price, when the common market of crypto currency will revive and begin to rise. I think that approximately in March-April we will be able to see ethereum at a price of 1200 dollars.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: February 21, 2018, 08:48:15 PM
I would not say that bitcoin is much superior to other coins in its qualities, and therefore the price for it is so much different from other digital coins. Here the main role is played by its usual popularity, which arose because it was the first among all the crypto currency and therefore became very famous. Fame has generated demand, and demand - the price. This is what basically explains why bitcoin has a much higher price than the other altcoyins.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Price Prediction ? on: February 21, 2018, 08:37:58 PM
Ripple is very good in banking and many large world banks have long been united and use its advanced blockchein technology instead of the outdated SWIFT banking method. In addition, recently this coin has become interested in the world financial organizations and are also going to use it in their business. Therefore, ripple clearly has a good growth outlook and by the end of the year the dollar will be unambiguous, and in practice it should reach five dollars. However, you should always remember that this coin is centralized and fully controlled.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin making alts useless on: February 21, 2018, 08:23:27 PM
We probably have multiple alts that one could consider as better version of bitcoin but as you're noticing, bitcoin is gaining more popularity and a fast growth. The price is not a measure of a coin success so what I'm referring to here is the the number of ATMs, exchanges, stores, services, and people accepting it.

So even If we have some people using alts currently because they believe they are better then bitcoin (which may be true), bitcoin is evolving and the development is super active and exciting times are coming. I honestly believe that this make alts useless (say, by the end of the year), your thoughts?
I would not say that bitcoin is developing now and it is developing super actively. While everything is happening on the contrary, bitcoin has accumulated a lot of shortcomings, has become slow in the conduct of transactions, they in many cases hang, and commission fees have long been too high.

As for the altcoins, they are generally much more useful than our esteemed bitcoin. Bitcoin does not have those specific functions that the altcoyins can perform and perform.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: February 19, 2018, 06:40:07 AM
I believe that the Altocain has a good future for development and improvement. This bitcoin still has problems with its insufficient scalability and manifestation as a financial bubble and therefore it has already lost a lot in its popularity. Improvement of the crypto-currency is taking place along the line of improvement of the altcoyins. They have a good future.
