741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC Dominance will drop to 40%, what will happen? on: March 19, 2019, 07:30:54 AM
Some altcoins have a huge supply and at the same time low trading volume which is giving us an impressive market cap that will be useless and should decrease very fast if some small part of holders sells their shitcoins. In case with BTC we have more mature market and and a good quality coin. To compete with it altcoins have to become less speculative and have at least some usage for its users.

With that, it makes BTC total dominance rate undervalued.
It should be higher than the current rate now, maybe around 80% if we exclude the high supply shitcoins now that has no volume.

But let me check if it's really true, currently sorting now the list in coinmarketcap and it shows.

Looks like not all high supply coins has a good marketcap and therefore shitcoins might not affect the accurate of the entire marketcap.
CMC is excluding some honestly dead shitcoins. It is pretty obvious that if shitcoin have 0.5$ of daily volume then with a billion supply it still won't make its market cap.
But the problem is that MC of other altcoins is still overvalued and global crypto MC is pretty rough.
742  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Media spreads incorrect story of New Zealand mass shooter & crypto... on: March 19, 2019, 07:26:33 AM
With such headline I expected to see that someone will blame him for buying something illegal in dark web and paying with bitcoin, which is a pretty common thing.
But the argument that he used returns from his crypto investments to travel and buy some other stuff can be used with any other kind of investment or just a normal job. The source of his money totally doesn't matter.
743  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What can I do to make it more transparent? on: March 19, 2019, 07:00:23 AM
If you are storing crypto assets then it should be enough just to show on the blockchain that you've got some tokens or coins in your wallet. Modern hedge funds work without any significant part of transparency and everything is fine because they are providing quarter reports and stay under control of governmental bodies.
In your case the only transparency feature that you need is to show that you own some particular assets which you can simply show on the blockchain.
744  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can any Kind Soul please give a honest review of signaltrader.io ? on: March 19, 2019, 06:53:42 AM
Any king of signal trading is even more risky than any any other kind of trading. No matter how many people are telling you that they earned billions while following thosy signals it is still risky. Most people that use different trading bots, signals, pump and dump groups are lacking trading knowledge to estimate risks and see if it is right or not.
Now consider all pros and cons: Speculative trading is risky - crypto assets are risky - signal trading is also risky. So you are combining 3 unsafe things and expect to get some profit.

746  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mTurk Equivalent but pays satoshi for task! on: March 18, 2019, 12:32:25 PM
One of the first offers on this website is Say hello, earn 1 satoshi. It is not really worth clicking on it for that price. Also there is a task with bug finding that rewards 5k sat lol.
Amazon Mechanical turk have pretty much geographical restrictions but tbh their low payments are way more attractive than this website.
747  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies Pose Risks to Banks, Warns Basel Committee on: March 18, 2019, 12:24:07 PM
Banks do not have to get scared about potential of bitcoin in our world and what it can do to them, banks need to be excited about the potential of bitcoin and blockchain technology and how it could improve them and make them better.

I know there are tons of banks who deal in the shady business world and bitcoin is definitely going to ruin that for sure but any bank that is doing business in a legit way should see bitcoin and blockchain as an improvement to the old system and instead of being afraid of it should adopt it.

If the world is moving towards a new and better system and if you are trying to keep people away from it than all you can do is slow it down, you can't stop it, you can pay politicians billions and make bitcoin illegal all around the world and yet people will still find ways to use it so instead of trying to stop it I would suggest supporting it so you can get behind the economic evolution.
And no one is scared. As a result of some research or analysis someone just stated a fact that if BTC will be globally used then current banking system will suffer because it is not adopted to such changes. Unfortunately, some retards interpret it as a strong fear but the truth is that Bitcoin won't grow that much  to cause any significant harm to current banking system. Even if it will then it should probably take much time and banks will use it to adopt crypto into their businesses and get their revenues.
But tbh I can hardly believe it will happen.
748  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you think about the "Iceberg Order"(or the hidden order) on: March 18, 2019, 12:10:48 PM
Emm, I'm sure that if you are using this particular exchange then you should deserve a chance to see the current market status before placing an order.
Those exchanges are struggling to keep their users. Such market tipping is peculiar to markets with low volume. So it seems like Kucoin is trying to make their users trade nearly dead shitcoins instead of simply delisting them.
749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO - Upcoming Hollywood movie about Bitcoin with acting stars on: March 18, 2019, 11:45:48 AM
It's not good publicity if they act like crypto is some underground crime syndicate that will have the main characters running for their lives.
And that is exactly the way they gonna show crypto in their movie.
No one will be curious to see how people are sending BTC transactions to each other, BTC rate is stable and everyone is happy. They need an action it will be made by compiling some of the existing negative cliche about cryptocurrencies.
It can't be a good movie by default.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO - Upcoming Hollywood movie about Bitcoin with acting stars on: March 18, 2019, 11:32:30 AM
Of course it won't be too easy, as the market always gets along with the demand. Publicity is just a way to inform the people that there's an existing digital money that they don't know in a form of cryptocurrency and it's called as bitcoin.
They already know it! Already in 2017 (for a while, which was 2 years ago) it has been hyping over all existing media resources. You must probably live somewhere deep in the woods is you did not hear about digital currencies. It will not work the same again.
At this time people won't buy bitcoin just because they see it once again in some shitty movie.
751  Economy / Economics / Re: The myth of crypto revolution on: March 18, 2019, 11:05:27 AM

Now, about the coin. Most of the crypto-followers are after the profits and don't care about the project. There are a lot of rubbish coins that are traded a lot because they just have great potential for profiting.

People invest their money in order to get some profits and their investments will always be on the first place. Are you surprised?  That is the difference between investment and donation.

Comparing crypto to fiat, there is no difference. There is no fair distribution for people. When I check the rich list of any crypto coin I found that there is no difference from the fiat rich list. Just a few people have the majority of the wealth. So, I am thinking a lot about a way to really trigger a crypto coin revolution.

What do you mean under fair distribution?
People are usually getting money because they earned them and not because someone 'fairly' distributed money.
752  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will you recommend me to use bitstamp in 2019? on: March 18, 2019, 10:47:15 AM
What is the problem with LBC? Most of the popular payment methods have a small fee with just 1-2% difference from the exchange rates. Almost the same amount will be charged for making a trade and withdrawal from the exchange. Also there is usually an insane amount of KYC verification needed just to deposit your fiat money to the exchange account and banks (especially in my region) have a pretty high minimum limit for transactions, that are used for deposit.

Ofc some traders might ask for an ID but you don't have to go through them in order to buy or sell.

It usually depends on the payment method.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strange transaction in MEW... on: March 18, 2019, 10:27:53 AM
I've got a plenty of unexpected tokens on my ETH address since it was created.
I suspect that one of the reason of this spam was an attempt to warm up the market. Some of those spam tokens belong to real projects but  bad ones. They are traded on exchanges and someone is sending some free token and while user is trying to sell them he see that the amount of his free tokens is not enough to trade it on exchange so he have to buy some more of the tokens. Sometimes even after that he can't sell it because of lack of volume.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: massive feb visitor collapse in Bitcointalk and Coinmarketcap founding websites on: March 18, 2019, 10:20:49 AM
Their title sounds stupid and proves that most of the crypto related medias are charging an insane amount of money for ads while making low quality content.
The statement that BTT lost a third of its users does not come out of the recent view decrease. Previous numbers can be counted with bots, some others may really visit this forum less frequent but it doesn't mean that they quit it.

and i am afraid that this forum indicates the future.

because there was first this forum and then there was a bitcoin price.
Look through this forum once again. Most part of users is talking absolute bullshit and demonstrating their lack of education (and sometimes stupidity). And it worked the same way in 2017 during the bull run.
Retards from this forum do not represent the entire community.
755  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some of your favorite mobile games? on: March 18, 2019, 09:56:58 AM
I've been desperately waiting for Hearthstone Androit version but imho it can't be considered as a mobile game because it looks more like an adoptation of PC version for my celphone. Unfortunately since the last year the entire game lost its balance and it is making players to donate so I had to delete it.
756  Economy / Economics / Re: Are currencies a "store of value"? on: March 18, 2019, 09:50:30 AM
Looking at the US dollar, it has lost more than 90% of its value, making all paper currencies a bad example of a "store of value." "I do not want to mention the scenario that happened in the state of Venezuela or Germany after the war."
BTC that dropped from 20k to 4k is a way better example. Sure.
Fiat money are not designed to be a deflationary currency. Inflation stimulates export which is pushing the economic growth of the country. Without a good monetary policy, the economy will stagnate and currency will lose its value much faster then it will do the same during inflation.
757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News Entrepreneurs: Plattsburgh Finally Lifts its Ban on Crypto Mining on: March 18, 2019, 08:52:51 AM
If somebody is trying to protect the health of the citizens by banning bitcoin mining he must be insane and lack basic understanding of mining. How does your computer influence the health of your neighbor? How about 10 computers running at the same time? Maybe 100 will change something? It's not 100 microwave ovens or nuclear reactors it's 100 computers. A bitcoin miner works like a computer!

There's still a lot of misconceptions around bitcoin mining so maybe the one that said that doesn't understand if there is really bad effect to the health of their citizens. But we all know that it no effect at all. This is just one attack on bitcoin but I'm sure everyone who has a common sense will not believed that shit.
Last time we see an absolutely stupid and destructive green trend to blame everything that it spoils the environment. Like if mining requires much energy then producing this energy will make XX amount of harm to our nature.
It is very popular among US politicians when they are trying to get votes out of nothing.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO - Upcoming Hollywood movie about Bitcoin with acting stars on: March 18, 2019, 08:44:41 AM
The first comment on the video, I have the same sentiment as him.

Who's going to watch this movie on April 12? I don't find it interesting though it gives more publicity for bitcoin.
Bitcoin was already mentioned in different movies and serials, also in better ones then this shit that hollywood gonna show us this time. Also in the past couple of years almost all media were talking about bitcoin. What kind of publicity do you need now ? The price of BTC is not growing just because more people know about it.

NOTE: If you're expecting a movie about the real roots/stories concerning bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, you're going to be disappointed. This movie is just a sort of thriller movie concerning money laundering and other crimes using cryptocurrencies.
There was a shitty serial called 'startup' that showed approximately the same shit that looked ridiculous and was pretty far from truth. I expext to see the same quality movie this time.
759  Economy / Economics / Re: Brexit what effects will this have on cryptocurrency? on: March 18, 2019, 08:38:21 AM
When you say bitcoin can drop far lower then gbp. What bitcoin is at near £3k to a pound. What you suggesting bitcoin 0.90 to £1 pound.

Sorry but this is not possible. Can’t see this happening. Yes may drop but never this low.
I mean the percentage drop. Bitcoin can easily use 50% of its value while in case with GBP something more serious than brexit should happen to make pound lose its price so fast.
No one cares about the value of BTC. We just need to see how it behaves over time and GBP is much safer.
760  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Tweet: SNL is colluding with Russians on: March 18, 2019, 08:31:39 AM
Democrats are blaming Trump in everything and claiming that he is a russian puppet and even that Trump was assigned by Putin to become a US president. We've witnessed an extremely fast degradation of most American media and there is surprising that we see how someone is trying to use the same argument in the opposite direction.
