741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 04, 2023, 07:58:35 AM
Everyone looks for for Stevenson right now as there are news that he had a partnership with a shoe company-Reebok. Not sure if I've heard partnership deals before as far as boxing shoe goes, it's mostly on basketball and other sports.

But with this one, Stevenson is breaking grounds and it just proved the hype around him with this partnership.

And maybe this is just a precedent for other great boxers too to be paid by this big shoe company like Nike and Adidas.
742  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost my coins on: November 03, 2023, 01:11:33 PM

Hi, Salutations, Here, I'm new. Actually, I was searching for answers after making some really terrible mistakes. A friend told me about this website, where I could find all the answers, and I came here to look for them.
In reality, I wanted to mix my wallet's bitcoin with the bitcoin on Coinbase. I believe I made a mistake. Although I can't recall every step, I believe there was a purpose I went on "swap." I mistook the money I was sending to my wallet from Coinbase. However, bitcoin never made it there. It is finished, and I received numerous confirmations. However, I was curious about its whereabouts. I guess I sent it to someone and it’s lost. Sad,  but okay, I just want to confirm there is nothing I can do! I will be glad to have solutions or advice.

If you are sending it yourself from Coinbase to your wallet, meaning you are the one sending it, how it can be lost?

Perhaps you might have send it to a wrong address. And it will help us if you can send the tx like going to https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/<then put your address of destination here>
743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 93 Percent of all Bitcoin Has Been Mined on: November 03, 2023, 12:39:41 PM
Yeah, you read that right, 93% of all existing Bitcoins have been mined already, we have just 7% remaining, and it is estimated that the last Bitcoin will be mined by the year 2140, that is approximately 117 years from this year 2023.

100 years makes 1 century right? yeah, so this means that the remaining 7% of bitcoin yet to be mined will take more than one century to mine all of them.

Now, with bitcoin becoming more popular and expensive as time progresses, Billions are gonna be competing to mine the last remaining bitcoin, if not for anything, to at least have it as a legacy that they were among those that mined the last bitcoins, I also want this as a legacy for myself but unfortunately, I probably won't be alive in the next 70 to 80 years from now, and so it is also for majority of us here right now.

Are you here and still unsure whether bitcoin is the right asset to invest in, well, just start accumulating bitcoin today before it's too late, if you feel you are too old and don't have any need for bitcoin, you sure need bitcoin for the generation coming through you, accumulate bitcoin for them, it's a legacy they will live to forever remember you for.

I don't think that we can see it in our lifetime.

But I guess in the next couple of halvings, we might see that almost all bitcoin has been mine at 99%. And the rest of that 1% will be mined till that 2140.

So there is still some time for us before we can reach that 99% of bitcoin being mine and if that happens, then obviously it will be scarce and it will really push the price beyond our imagination.
744  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can it be real bull or just a temptation. on: November 03, 2023, 12:27:54 PM
OP how surprised are you beginning to be now in November, that you have seen Bitcoin go higher than the $29k that you were surprised by last month?

Are you beginning to have the feeling of a bull run or do you still see the recent rise of Bitcoin as a temptation not to fall in? Regardless of how you currently interpret it, I want to tell you that the bull run is getting ready to be on the move, and it is not a tempting move that will get you roasted with losses
Bitcoin is showing some bullish signs, now this may not actually signify a bull run is imminent but it is a good sign for those that have already ended their accumulation and they are simply waiting for the bull run to come.

However I feel there is still some time left before that happens, but time is running out, investors really need to end their preparations already, because once the bull market starts that is simply the moment to relax and be happy about our preparations finally producing the profits we expected.

Yes, time is running out, but I think at least in the next six months, we can still accumulate as the price could be just ranging from $30k-$50k. I think that is still very cheap as compare to what we are all predicting, at least 6 digits and it could be more than 100% profits for us.

So if we have the capital or at least have patience, and then long at the grand scheme of it all - profits in the future. And with that, just continue to accumulate no matter what the price is in the next six months and just be prepared for the bull run in 2024.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 03, 2023, 12:16:37 PM
Just as you've said, if one leaves then he's safe and nothing bad is going to happen, but staying back to continue is a display of greed and that is very risky because one will eventually lost everything to that same particular bet, the way we see bet isn't the way it appears, we take the risk in doing it, but when the risk becomes dominant than the advantage, it's better to withdraw before the worse should happen and we loose the entire opportunity.
Everything will depend on each gambler and you said it right. If he continues gambling because he follows his greed, he will only experience more losses. Supposedly, when he can win, he can stop first to lower his tension and not follow his ego to win more money. And he could indeed lose all his money if he decides to continue gambling, especially as many gamblers have experienced this. Gamblers must pay attention to themselves when gambling and not be so engrossed in gambling that they forget when to stop.
But sadly, gamblers often continue to play and follow their greed. We can say that the reason behind it is because of their addiction. AFAIK, when getting addicted to gambling, a psychological effect can stimulate a person's brain, something like a reward system, the more a person repeatedly does (winning or losing), the more addicted you get.

This state can be considered the same with compulsive gambling, causes of chasing your bets that lead to more losses. Even if the gambler pays attention to his behavior, nothing will still happen as he continues to disregard it when gambling.

You are right, gamblers are not going to stop and will continue to played despite winning big because of their greed. Perhaps people are build with it, I mean if you by chance continue to win then you think you can get more and continue to bet for more.

And then you suddenly fell into big gambling addicts and you think that you are invincible. So it's very hard to control's one emotion and behavior. It will take a lot from the gamblers to really stop their gambling habit and kick it out for good.
746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: fudster guy saying bitcoin is not viable because there are too few available on: November 02, 2023, 01:05:57 PM
too few of them available for mass adoption.

so 1 btc = 100 million sats
so if at any time we have 100K BTC liquid, there would be 10 trillion sats available

the USA has 2.7 trillion available US dollars

so I dunno man I think in terms of sats I think there will always be enough BTCs available

Thoughts?

Lol, there will be always Fudster guy in bitcoin and the rest of the crypto market. But you know what? when you think that they are perma bear, but secretly they are simply buying bitcoin when the price is going down because that's why they created this FUD so scare and push the market down.

So just very typical of a Fudster, so don't be offended by it.

On the other hand, if I heard anyone bad mouthing bitcoin, I will simply smile and tell to my self, if the guy is really a fudster that he might be missing the biggest things in his life. And when you become a crypto millionaire, maybe that is the time that he realized that he made a big mistakes.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk predicts X will replace banks in 2024 - The Verge on: November 02, 2023, 12:50:14 PM

To send money anywhere in the world, it would need to be an altcoin. Or a western union competitor but who needs another western union? we already have western union.

We have a lot of altcoins already that can do that, even CBCD can also accommodate that, thus I don't know what Elon wanted to accomplished that a crypto hadn't been in the last 5 years.

Heck even bitcoin which we touted as slow because of it's confirmation can fit that need already.

So it's scary what Elon wanted to accomplished, it seems he wanted to be the central authority and I don't think that government will allow that as he will have a lot of power at this disposal.
748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can it be real bull or just a temptation. on: November 02, 2023, 02:09:41 AM
I feel that the recent bullish moment is just a temptation to increase the hype in the market, in the next few weeks the price of bitcoin will definitely move stably and sideways, it's not yet time for bitcoin to pass its ATH but I'm sure before this year ends, the price of bitcoin will pass $40k. Bitcoin is a very volatile asset and market sentiment really influences its price, so don't ever think twice about Bitcoin when the market is bearish or bullish.
We have to examine the details of the causes of the increase rather than just talking speculation without sources, even though your assumption is just a temptation but the fact is that Bitcoin remains at the current price of $34k, the price should fall below $32k if your assumption is correct, every market increase is definitely support causing the market was at a high recovery rate before the bullish period. My prediction is that the market will reach $50k by the end of this year as the very close halving period will trigger a high market increase next year.
At the moment,  Bitcoin has established some form of stability in the market and how we react to them at some point,  although there have been several attempts to make room for so upward price movement and at that point, the bear market always put up a strong resistance which has limited Bitcoin to around $24k price with all the several attempts made to keep bitcoin price at above 35k price for a long time.

Anyway,  the current price is still far better than what it was in the last couple of weeks or months ago.
The price of Bitcoin seems to be increasing as the halving gets closer and this is an indication that people are accumulating rather than missing out on the chance. As the price started to pick up high, the more we speculated that the market would go bullish next year. It can be possible as per see but I could agree that it was too early to think about and might be possible for some price corrections before it happens.
The current surge will tell us that the Bitcoin price will always recover so there is no reason to become hopeless when crisis comes.

Yeah and I think the only reason is that investors are slowly building up their portfolio as they prepared for the next block halving. Similar to what we have seen in the last pre-halving years. Even if we are in the pandemic during the halving, still though investors continue to accumulate regardless of what is going on that time around the world.

And with that, the same cycle continues, we still have 5 - 6 months before the halving so that's a lot of time for us to accumulate still.

Price is still at a discount as it is at $35k, because their is a prediction that the price could go as high as $100k++ so there are still profits going to be made by buying at today's market value.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 02, 2023, 01:33:33 AM
I waiting for the battle of Los Angeles here, Lakers vs Clippers, I like that the Clippers is the underdog in this game, so I will go with them at 2.32.

And then the Dubs hosting the Kings, as we have seen the rivalry has been building up as well with this 2 teams. So Warriors at -6.5 at 1.84.

Lots of games already concluded, like the Raptors defeating the Bucks and then another blow up win by the top contender Boston Celtics.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin looking like sleeping gigant in this bull run season on: November 01, 2023, 12:55:43 PM
Ltc looking like sleeping gigant the price is Under 100$ definately cheap now people mis buy ltc because no body dont want miss the opportunity some experts Even say that LTC can Do 300% gain from here.
i think it's LTC time now in this crypto bull run season

It's really hard to say so because people will just simply choose to invest in bitcoins instead of LTC unless they have to prepare something in their updates and promise their investors some new developments are going on because this will be the main reason for the price to increase when they have something to offer and have something to compete with their competitors because if they still have no updates and just giving their investors false hope, then their market will just stay still like that with no improvement or whatsoever.
Of course BTC will be more preferable than LTC. The recent halving of LTC can already say a lot. Just a usual market manipulation, nothing more. Although LTC is an old, well-known and reliable project, it seems to me that this coin had a hype that will not happen again. I would choose to invest in something else.

I think there's no hype of Litecoin, it's been treated like a little brother to Bitcoin though. And with that said, there is no update whatsoever with the code itself for the last 2 years,

https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin

Although I'm not seeing that it will suddenly die, but it's a risk to invest on it as it might not be as profitable as it used to be.

So I do agree that it's better to invest on new project, at least those who looks very promising.
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin October Month Performance on: November 01, 2023, 07:10:26 AM
I've recently discovered that, according to historical data, October consistently sees a spike in Bitcoin prices. This has occurred every year that has gone by. And it will go on till the introduction of the Bitcoin halving after these months.

Furthermore, it is highly probable that the current bitcoin business will see a bull run as well. And it has been proven that the price of a Bitcoin has increased from $28,000 to $34,000+,  As of right now, the resistance flow is calm, but it might still decrease; in my opinion, it is currently between 31 000 and 32 000$.

Yes and it seems that the cycle has continue as we ended up this October with above $34k price range. So it's like 28% increased already just for this month. And so we will go on the next barrier which is $35k, and hopefully we can do that or if this bullish sentiments will continue, we might see $40k range and then tops $50k at the end of the year.

Everything looks very promising at the end of this year for us and again, this is a very positive sign that when we approach halving, maybe we will be in the range of $50k as that is the price that everyone is looking for at least for me.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 01:17:18 AM
Clippers gave up a lot of player just to acquire Harden that has totally zero defense and less sharp shooter. The only way they can benefit on this trade is when Kawhi and PG can finish a whole season without any injury until finals.

I’m not a fan of Harden especially now that Big man is the new meta on NBA. I wonder how will Clippers can stop team like Nuggets or Bucks when they have this kind of line-up which is pure offense. They are heavily reliant to a complete star roster with this built.
I do agree that big shooting man is the new meta in the NBA and we can see that coming from Nuggets, Spurs and Thunder.

But I'll give this roster a chance.

Although in the past, this is proven that it's not going to work even if they have the best of the best and the superstars come along together.

We shall see that but if they unite with that one aim to win a ring and continue to adjust and humble themselves with each other, maybe they'll be able to get that.

We will see, they will have a game against the Magic, but not sure if James Harden will be ready as a Clipper.

The odds shows that they are the favorite as per ML, but who knows, if James Harden is not going to play then it might have a big impact on the team as they have lost some good players like Tucker and Batum.

There's something about the chemistry and maybe the injuries as well could be another factor why I doubt that the Clippers can win a ring with this lineup.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 01, 2023, 12:04:53 AM
I think the effect is temporary though. I mean if you used gambling as a stress reliever, definitely it will work but for how long? Maybe just a couple of hours playing and then you lose money? Same with it improves your mood, when you gamble it might release some chemicals like Dopamine so you really feel good about yourself. But then again, the same question, how long will you feel that good mood?

So not really sure if we can call this as health benefits because the effects is for a limited of time only.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: October 28, 2023, 10:50:06 PM
I also read the news, and it's really disappointing. The same thing happened to his brother during his fight against Stephen Fulton; he also suffered an injury, so the fight was postponed.

@Baofeng  You're right; it looks like it won't happen this year, probably early next year. Since it's a championship fight, Jerwin has no choice but to wait until it finally takes place. But don't worry, guys, there's still a fight between Inoue and Tapales before the year ends, so that should be enough to entertain us in the last month of the year.

I don't understand though that they are so sloppy to let this happen, I mean it's only sparring, and why his sparring partner targeted his body that much to cause any injury? Doesn't make sense. Of course, they train hard 100% every day in the gym, but if this kind of injuries can be avoided in preparation of the fight, the better.

In sparring, they are really going at it with full force, so it's maybe this is just a accident on the part of Inoue and his sparring partner. Inoue knows that Jerwin is a powerful puncher and so he tries to replicate it by getting a heavy handed sparring partner and this is the only reason why he got injured when his mate go for that body shot as they are expecting Ancajas to do that on Inoue. Unfortunately, this things do happen and Ancajas should stay focus and wait for Takuma as that is his target for this year and that belt.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is health and health is Bitcoin. on: October 28, 2023, 08:31:33 AM
their is something that is paramount for Bitcoin investment, it can to my knowledge that health is more of important than any investment, before you invite you have to treat yourself very properly, their is some people who prefer investment first before health. Do you know that when you are not healthy you will not be able to read and understand what you read.

I have being unhealthy for a while but to read and make a research of coin I should invest , but due to health issues I could not make research.

in summary without a good health you will not think out of good project to invest. so without a proper health I don't think Bitcoin investment can be actualize.

Obviously, ours health should come first and it's very important to every individual. But if you really doesn't want to complicate things on your end because of health issues, I think Bitcoin investment will fit your bill.

I mean you don't have to research for a good project to invest. Bitcoin is one of the best assets we have right now. And then you can simply buy it weekly or monthly depending on your budget, or just do DCA (Dollar Cost Average) strategy and you will be good and just be a holder for long term.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 28, 2023, 01:45:00 AM
Lakers should stop trying to force other rotation players some minutes, they try to build a whole squad but that ain't working for them. Their d'lo-reeves-prince-lebron-ad five doesn't work and will not work. They need to switch to d'lo-reeves-lebron-ad-wood five which would be a lot better and it would have size that most other teams do not have. Reeves is already bad at defense, and d'lo isn't work all that hard on defense neither, better than last year if you ask me so far in the last two games but you do not play him for his defensive skills.

I think this means their inside has to be better and even though AD is good at defense, he is all alone inside and having Wood with him would make their paint protection skyrocket. Other teams could either shoot, or they would not be able to get inside, a good shooting night would beat Lakers, but a bad one would lose badly. Lebron is still amazing at year 21, that dude is a beast, definitely king of basketball.
They're missing their best wing defender Vanderbilt yet so I think they're experimenting this time around for a squad, it's just early in the season and it's not that hard if they will work out with it. I guess Wood would be the fit, this guy is efficient he just needed more minutes. Yeah, couldn't agree for more that LeBron is still killing it even at his age and looks like aiming that 40k points in his career.

I think it's just about time for Wood to have a break out career in the Lakers uniform. He had a lot of promise when he was in Houston, however, when he wait to the Dallas Mavericks, it seems that he was not a good fit with the system of Luka.

And in this game, he proved his defense and his rebounding. He has some good assists too. So yeah, needed more minutes so that he will gain his confidence back specially his outside shooting. He needs to improved it just like when he was with the Rockets, he can hit that outside 3's.
757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: October 27, 2023, 08:26:17 AM
Hallo people,

I bought some bitcoin at 26/27/30 and 31k. all profit so far, I am thinking about buying more, but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?
I think the price of bitcoin will go beyond what it is presently, I don't think it is too expensive to buy bitcoin in the current price it is in the market, buying bitcoin this time that the price of bitcoin is 35k is not a late time for investor's who are willing to hodl. I know now that the price of bitcoin is going up some people may think the price of bitcoin will keep on increasing steadily which they would want to invest to make profit very fast. Bitcoin is unpredictable,  even if we are entering into the bull season it doesn't mean people can still predict to expect profit very fast.

Yes, if we look at the long term, buying at $35k will still net you a profit, you just have to be

a: HODLer - which means accumulate as much as much as you can even in the bull run
b. Have the tough mentality - which means you will be tempted lets say the price goes to $70k because your investment has double. However, what we are looking at is a price around $100k minimum. Because that is what the most of the speculators are prediction, 6 digits. So you need to be mentally prepared and just be teased because of the profits. You can even profit even more if you will continue to HODL.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the increase in Bitcoin price benefits us on: October 27, 2023, 02:37:07 AM
Bitcoin price benefits us today. Firstly it's and increase in crypto investment, which can lead to more development in business. Second, it can lead to high capital for Bitcoin, this increase can stand as and advantage of Bitcoin to be use as payment method in many industry, which can make it more easier and user-friendly. All these have a potential benefits and positive contribution on our society, Let me have your opinion on how Bitcoin increase benefits you .

True, it was design to be a payment system, but you have to understand that it has evolved as well. It all started with Mt. Gox, when we have trading exchanges, and so it become an asset. You can still used bitcoin as design though, as it is still borderless and most likely the industry of remittances could be one of those who benefited from it.

As far as the price goes, since it become an asset already, so the old adage still applies, "buy low, sell high", and that's how we make profits. Or just simply accumulating it overtime and become a holder and then sell it during the bull run (which is to be expected in 2024-2025).
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 01:59:56 AM
I cant wait to see Lillard and Giannis, its gonna be the start of one of the most prolific duo in NBA history if they can match and have good chemistry.

In other things, yesterday it was not so good start for the young star of Spurs, i think he need to catch the NBA pace.

Most prolific is debatable but I get what you are saying.  Dame never really got to play co.sistently with so.eone of giannis's ability so let's see what he has left to give us.  Super excited to watch tonight's game hopefully it's not overshadowed by Harden and his antics.

Lillard hasn't shown much during the  preseason, and what he has shown is inaccurate shooting, especially from beyond the arc. Surprisingly, he had a good percentage in that area during his time with the Blazers. Well, let's see tonight if he'll have an impressive game in his debut in a Bucks uniform. I'm as excited as you are and can't wait to see how he performs. I'm also betting on the home team with the high spread.

Can Embiid carry the team on his shoulder and beat the new combo or Giannis + Lillard?

It's good game that we are seeing right now, The Sixers is up by 2 as I write this message. Lillard had like 25 points already, but Maxey has a good game as well with 26 points. So they didn't missed Harden in today's game.

So let's see if they can hold the Sixers in their home court. The atmosphere is very different, it's not like a season opener, but the fans are electrifying and maybe very excited for Dame's first game.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 27, 2023, 01:30:02 AM
I will go on the -2.5 @1.82 for the Dallas Mavericks against the Spurs on a live bet. There's no question how good Wemby is, we have seen him in pre-season and for sure he will be one superstars in this league.

However, I think the experience of Dallas will be too much to handle even if they take a big lead at the start of the 2nd quarter.

And I'm sensing the Luka might pull a triple double.
Actually, I sniped the ML @2.07 in favor of Dallas while the Spurs was still up by 5 or 6 if I were to remember it correctly on the third quarter. The last minute of the last quarter was really an intense one considering Wemby really explodes and definitely he just was unlucky with those turnover and foul trouble in the early quarters but Coach Pop is a true genius to still let Wemby in even with the means of getting fouled out.

Luka was efficient so do Kyrie and Lively, and those steals they made on the last seconds really make a difference to take that lead. I think both of these rookies has the potentials to improve and what an NBA debut they have had, it's totally a great match and feels like a playoffs category type of a match.

Good for you mate, it was a huge win for the Dallas Mavericks last night. Yes, that rookie Lively is a great steal for the Maverick this season.

I'll pass on the Bucks vs Sixers game.

Lakers vs Phoenix - LA for me -6.5 @1.86. No Booker and Beal, I think the Lakers will win and cover this spread. They will have to bounce back after that lost to the Denver Nuggets and have their first win this season.
