Hi,

Request for the giveaway threads to be assigned its own sub forum. Checking the Altcoin section right now, it looks like the alt section is only occupied by giveaways. It would be nice to have other topics showing up in the main altcoin section.

Just a suggestion.

dude, I think it only rose because you were hyping month old news....I did some reading and it's great that its going up, but its only because your luring more newbies into buying =/

got it. news are old. but that kim dot com posted it on his twitter account was only today. I thought it could be kind of a secrete message, otherwise is he going to post such things.

anyway for now i am happy since it is the best investment for now, all coins going down except megacoin. and i think it has a huge potential. lets hope for the best
REALY!? OMG,,, im such a noob lol, thought that was from a month ago that he tweeted....SO IT WAS TODAY THAT HE TWEETED ABOUT MEC?!?!

Yes, he tweeted about Megacoin within the last 24 hours: https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/425921037197254656

Ive been mining this coin for 48hrs and have only made 3000 coins!
does that sound right? I've been mining it on the http://dgb.get-by.com/ pool. Can someone pls tell me if thats sound good or not?

It depends on your hash rate? Without that it is impossible to know.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] - A Professional Cryptocurrency ✈ On Coin Market ✔ on: January 20, 2014, 08:07:35 PM
i have to agree with u in that btw cause now i remember that pool... was fishy for me too and i switched to another
dev should post a warning or unlist that in order to maintain a fair play and positive spirit

What seems fishy to me are user accounts barely a week old advising devs to delist a pool for completely unfounded reasons.  Roll Eyes
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] - A Professional Cryptocurrency ✈ On Coin Market ✔ on: January 20, 2014, 08:03:42 PM
I think that miningpool.co is scampool and should be delisted from this list  Angry
Had problems with it once - was getting ~1/2 coins which i should be getting with my kh/s. Owner replied that GDC is forked/broken and it works like that.
Now, after almost 48 hours of mining DGB @ miningpool.co, i own 45k DGB.... Look at transactions: http://scr.hu/1a8/7uw4y  (1k+ every ~hour = ~25k DGB / 24h)
With 4250 kh/s average, i should be getting around 48k DGB/24h, so i switched to smalltimeminer.com, and.... boom: 1 hour = 2,2k DGB - http://scr.hu/1a8/u1kyp
 means ~53k/day !!
So be carefull while using miningpool.co guys

remember that atm difficulty is much lower than in the last 24h

Not true... it's 11,8156 now, and it was 12,90 when i was getting 1/2 of estimated coins. It's not such a big diffrence, right?
Look: http://scr.hu/1a8/llcwk
screenshot taken from miningpool.co - clearly can see that i should be getting ~50k/day, and i was gettin 25k/day

The screen shot (http://scr.hu/1a8/llcwk)

Shows you were mining for around 45 minutes - see the light blue line on the chart.

And had received 2139 DGB - for 45 Minutes on MiningPool.co. That means (2139 + 2139/4) / hour = 2673.75 DGB / Hour

2673.75 x 24 hours = 64170 DGB per day.

What is the problem?

760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most compelling Bitcoin presentation I've ever seen: Andreas M. Antonopoulos on: January 19, 2014, 07:01:33 AM
I couldn't agree more: I try to tailor the tone and content to the audience, as much as possible. See for example, my appearance on Bloomberg and even Max Keiser, where I am facing a general audience and I offer a perspective focused on technology innovation, security innovation and growth opportunity for a new industry.

In the Vegas case however, I had 500 people in the audience who had spent 2 days listening to the entrepreneurs talk money. Which is fine and necessary, but I felt that a different PoV should also be voiced, on the last day, on the last panel. So I tailored my content and tone to my audience: the 500 people who came with passion for bitcoin, not my four (very gracious and patient) co-panelists. Not my best work, or my proudest moment as a panelist.

I do dozens of interviews per week and appear before a variety of audiences several times a week too. Some of those come out well, but not all. Sometimes I miss the mark on my audience. Not everyone cares for what I have to say, but I speak from the heart and I'm always open to changing my mind and my tone as I learn.

Thank you for the honest feedback.

Great presentation Andreas!!

I think you are one of the best voices Bitcoin has.

I like pretty much all the presentations and interviews I have seen you make.

Keep up the good work!
