I think if you're looking to invest, you better do a really good research on which coin to choose. Monero sounds like an opportunity but it's actually an old coin compared to the new privacy coins out there. I'm not dismissing it, Monero is a safe choice and has proven itself over time, however, it is difficult to have a big return on your investment, which is why I invested in newer coins. As I like privacy coins myself, I took the time to check out coins like DeepOnion and NAV. DeepOnion was more my style, it even had an airdrop a few months back. And now that Bitcoin has fallen a lot and took the whole market in a downtrend, DeepOnion is cheap to invest again so I grabbed some coins in the cheap  Remember, by doing your own research, you minimize the danger of choosing a bad coin. This is very important especially when you search for new coins. |

Unfortunate for everyone but shows we are here to stay. A year on and as an airdrop coin we're still standing strong! That is very true! Looking forward to another great year! Any guesses where we will be in one year from now?  Can't know for certain, but definitely not in the top 400. Not in top 400 ?  Top 100 should be fair to DeepOnion. And we can expect better. This is funny because DeepOnion could be both in top 400 and top 100. For example, say it gets to number 50 this year or the next, it's a number that belongs to top 100 and also top 400 coins. |

Halving as a scarcity method is a good thing for the DeepOnion project! so many big opportunities for this project awaits, now is even a better time to get listed on big exchanges, with a solid project like this and with many good features, soon the big whales and exchanges will list DO! I agree with that assessment. Halving in PoS and PoW rewards needed to be done, no coin can offer this kind of rewards forever. |

At this point where cryptocurrencies are relatively new, it's probably safer to have your money in a bank. However, that comes at a cost. Your money is just sitting there, gaining a very small interest rate (how small depends on which country and bank you have your money in). It's not making you more money. And depending on which country's bank your money is in, there's always a small chance they might lose some of their value in extreme events like an economy collapse. But like I said, in most countries, it's a minor danger.
I wouldn't recommend to anyone to put all their money in cryptocurrencies at this point but if someone can afford to invest a portion of it into crypto, I'd say go for it. Choose a few projects that seem interesting. After getting into Bitcoin, I chose privacy coins like Zcash and DeepOnion and I'm always looking for good privacy coins. Some exchange tokens are interesting too.
