741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Somalia ? on: August 08, 2013, 10:05:11 PM
I just don't see it working over there, not for the average Joe anyway. They would find it hard to transfer into cash. Maybe if a company was set up over there where they convert Bitcoin into cash in hand then it could work.

For example,

Person A - Decides to send money back home in Somalia and decides to use the company to process it and give his family at home the money.

Family Member - Goes to the company in Somalia and collects the cash in hand with some type of reference number.

Company - Earns money with a type of fee.

It could work, but I don't see it to be honest.

I guess that's what the fun of Bitcoin is, you never truly know what price they will be at.

I don't believe you can, not in a legal way. But I could be wrong.

Well, I can't say I wouldn't sell at 1,000 USD. I mean 100 Bitcoin don't sound like much now. maybe 10,000 USD right now. But 100,000 USD is a nice amount. I think people will panic sell in hopes of not missing out a nice pay day. But I think we have quite a way to go until we can see those types of numbers.

No more than 2 years.

That would be awesome 1 Bitcoin will be able to buy you a nice average car, can't wait for those days.

I'm not sure you can buy nice average car for $1000

Oops, my mistake. I was thinking about if Bitcoin reached 10,000 USD. Hey, I guess you can buy a car for 1,000 USD.  Tongue

Sorry for the spam post, but this would really annoy me. You successfully paid him back and then when the ball is in their court and has Bitcoin that is rightfully yours they refuse to pay out. At least it wasn't a huge amount, think of it as a lesson.

I love going back and looking at all the awesome GPU operations people had going in the early days. They may have been big but they looked so damn awesome.

If you're in the UK, then use your online banking with LocalBitCoins and purchase from private vendors.
750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchange without fee (Donation only!!!!) on: August 08, 2013, 07:43:32 PM
Good thing is that I have my own developers and good links with law firms as well as EFT Payment processors. All I'm looking here is interest from people around the world. I believe in free and open market, goal is to just pay staff. I have also found a way to add credit card payment option (again its all legal).

If that's the case, go for it mate. If you can show you can give quick pay outs and a reliable and safe service you will grow a client base in no time.

It sounds great, no questions about that. But it all comes down to you actually getting it up and running. Paying thousands for it to be coded and all that good stuff. Maybe you should start out smaller, think of a small time project that involves Bitcoin and work on that.
752  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 0.5btc to loan to you. on: August 08, 2013, 06:24:50 PM
This won't end well, lending any type of money to someone who you don't know is very risky. You are better of just saving the 0.5 and waiting till you want to buy something. Or even sell it for cash.
753  Other / Beginners & Help / Just signed up, have some questions. on: August 08, 2013, 04:35:06 PM
Hello everyone,

Just signed up to ask some serious questions about a real life trade I did regarding some Bitcoin for cash. Some strange things happened but I will wait till I can post on the boards before I ask due to wanting some serious answers from experienced members.

See you around the boards everyone,

Thanks, Roger.
