741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why IEOs Came Into Existence? on: April 09, 2019, 12:42:45 PM
IEO became necessary because of the rate at which ICO are failing and the numerous numbers of scam project that perverse this space. Thousands of ICO investors have been left dejected and have been forced to find solace in trading so as to see what amount could be recovered from their loss fund. Mind you, many IEO will scam too, as some already failing. I took part in an IEO which is yet to be listed but already trading in Folkdelta, which means it's going to be a price disaster in a centralized exchange.

You have a foresight and doing yourself and your generation a good. Nevertheless, do ensure you accumulate good altcoins and not shitty projects that the team would later abandon in a bull run. Shitcoins=Retk in a bull market
743  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PAXFUL INC SCAMS NIGERIANS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF BITCOIN on: April 08, 2019, 04:21:16 PM
They were warned by their Central Bank Governor and they yielded not to the warnings, so their Bitcoin is gone and nothing can be done to revert their investment on PAXFUL INC. This news was shared on the forum some few weeks back and not new. Thank you for your concern.

Your reply is harsh, bitcoin is not illegal in Nigeria neither is it legal, so the government is just been neutral as such they don't render financial advise on crypto related activities and they can't be heard reliable for any losses. This doesn't give criminal elements the authority to be defrauding her citizens. What way has the Nigeria government help her citizens despite the large oil deposit in Niger Delta of the country? Cryptocurrency has made a lot of the youth millionaires and keeps providing opportunities.
744  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales are back ? on: April 08, 2019, 04:10:14 PM
People just realizing they need to secure their future by investing in a more valuable substance. So they are choosing their destiny. Let's hope the tempo is sustained.
745  Economy / Service Discussion / PAXFUL INC SCAMS NIGERIANS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF BITCOIN on: April 08, 2019, 04:03:19 PM
The Economic And  Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has received a petition against an Estonia Crypto firm for defrauding lots of Nigerians of their bitcoin in an allegedly arbitrary account closure without reservations.
Meanwhile, the country apex bank governor had once warned the citizens that the people buying cryptocurrencies are gamblers. The government of Nigeria holds a neutral stand in cryptocurrency.

746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Cryptocurrency change financial institutions completely? on: April 07, 2019, 11:08:02 AM
I really doubt our fiat will be completely do away with, but am sure they will in gbe future be limited to local daily transactions and transactions that arr not very heavy. Cryptocurrencies will be use across borders and inter-states within country. To achieve a truely cashless society wherein transaction failure rate is kept almost at zero, we need the digital currency. We really can't continue with the gangster like style by which these economic cartels manipulate money to their advantage.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: April 05, 2019, 12:04:36 PM
I have come to the realization that panic buyers/sellers don't make good fortunes from Cryptocurrency and they that run from one HYIP coin to another may end up being disappointed. For one to really be rich in Cryptocurrency and make it big, one must practice a very important factor which is patient and eschew greediness.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP competing places with ETH? on: April 04, 2019, 12:47:28 PM
Ethereum will always be above ripple anytime in the future, there is more trust in ETH than XRP, so perosens fear XRP could be manipulated against it holders. One thing I love about the XRP is it price stability, this has to do with the amout the team are holding in their vault, let's hope they release it not, off course they are not stupid, it's jsut a reserve.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stake allocation on: April 04, 2019, 12:44:41 PM
Variance in Stakes allocation between members of different cadres is okay and helps keep the community in a quality mode and a kind of reward for years of dedication and quality post. As per the merit system, there are rules guiding it and sometimes quality post go unnoticed since the merit sources are humans too with a lot of works on their desk.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex IEO sale end within TEN seconds. on: April 04, 2019, 12:37:39 PM
I am blessed and lucky I didn't have to try it out, I knew the rush was going to be much because of the exchange reputation. For now, I will just stick to my normal day trading and hope I give their future IEO a trial.
751  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to gain trust of users on a new free crypto website? on: April 04, 2019, 11:52:35 AM
Get to make solid reviews of projects and ICOs, then expose scammers, should your analysis always come true, you become a voice in this space. On the issue of raising fund to develop the website, you may appeal for fund at the end of each successful post or articles on your site. If someone is blessed by your article they may part something in other to sustain the project. You ensure you don't give a pass mark to some fake team, it's deadly and a bad way to leave in shame.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Successful ICO With No Buyback Mechanism on: April 02, 2019, 01:26:36 PM
A responsible team will do a buyback in other to keep their project from over dumping. A very good project with a great team and good market liquidity may need not to buy back as the natural forces of trade will stabilize the token according to the market conditions. Bounty hunters are really running their precious time and facilities in losses these days because of failing projects.
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at 4700 USD now. Bull run expected. on: April 02, 2019, 01:04:20 PM
Bitcoin is highly unpredictable. Within some minutes, the market exploded, this is how the bull run is going to catch many up, while they are still lamenting the bearish market and fail to invest, it will just happen overnight. Bitcoin is king, soon altcoins will bleed as BTC pushes higher.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not about ''get rich fast'' !! on: April 02, 2019, 12:41:30 PM
You are classical right, and I feel your pain. But without this price speculations, we may not be able to draw the "blind" investors or say people that are yet to see the big picture of the bitcoin. Bitcoin combines technology with economic reward. The people that see it as a get rich quick scheme are the speculative apostles of bitcoin while the technologically minded watchers are the core apostles. Both are needed, but the speculative apostles can get frustrated if the price doesn't hit a target.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren buffet now investing in bitcoin on: April 02, 2019, 06:17:28 AM
This caught me too. I hope the current sudden market gain won't end up as a special "April Fool?". I can't even tell what drove the market crazily high this morning. Crypto is unpredictable.

So after reading this article, you know that bitcoin transaction can be sent without internet that looks good for experiments but at the same time it is not practical!

Thanks, but this is a bit different technology as it uses the somewhat radio wave.
At the end, the two developers expressed their frustration in this caption: “It was a fun demo, but obviously unrealistic because we coordinated everything online before sending the radio signals,” Ou acknowledged

757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / SENDING BITCOIN WITHOUT THE INTERNET on: April 01, 2019, 01:46:22 PM
Hello guys, So I got involved in some argument yesterday, that it was possible to carry out a bitcoin transaction without the internet, some of my friends argued that it was impossible that the internet wasn't built that way, that there must be internet before this can ever happen.

Below is what I read from Bitcoin In Practice 1 been handled by Andreas Antonopoulos:

True cold storage” means that the private keys have never been on a networked computer or device, i.e. they have been
generated offline and without intermediaries. The signing of outgoing transactions (signed with those keys) also occurs
offline. This method is more common for long-term storage of large funds that you will not be sending out very frequently,
as it is generally impractical for everyday use. You can still safely use the addresses to send bitcoins to them, as well as to
check their balances.

From the above statement, it shows it's possible to send bitcoin from one's wallet to another wallet while the sender can perform this offline. This doesn't mean is not going to get verified online on the blockchain.

This discussion was sparked because of the series of hacked of exchanges and the need to safeguarding huge investors fund, while the crypto space continues to explore a more secure way of managing exchanges.

I want to hear your response about this submission.

Thanks

Let's hope I get verified on time so as to enjoy all my former privileges. If it gets rejected I may have to inform the governor of my state about this.
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving Bitcoin Starters on: March 30, 2019, 07:56:48 PM
I won't give a starter 0.2BTC, he will blow it off. Except there are sure trading signals which professions will have to veto, or if he has been long into forex trading, otherwise some starters may get carried away by the market instability and their emotions will end up ruling them. Although humans defer, in Crypto game, experts are still careful.
760  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Thoughts on the QuadrigaCX CEO suspicious death??? on: March 30, 2019, 01:58:10 AM
I didn't know about the exchange until his suspicious death. Maybe the wife should be thoroughly monitored and kept under watch that is if he loved the wife while he was alive "am not sure if he is dead". Humans can frame up anything. The hospital he took trreatment in India and all the last contact with him should be closely monitored or detained. I believe the truth is going to surface as such.  The Love Of Money Is The Root Of All Evil.
