743  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Rumor that Bitmain is going belly up! can't pay its chip builder! on: December 20, 2018, 04:07:49 PM
Price will drop. Will have to as new machines come out. Short term anything under $800 will benefit consumers in the US right now and drive sales.

Bitmain.com has a new look apparently.

I feel like NFW is talk to me sometimes. Wink

I'm actually wondering if Bitmain changed the default pool settings in there latest releases.
746  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will btc difficulty go sideways for rest of the year? on: December 18, 2018, 03:47:39 PM
I expect an upswing, new gear is hitting racks. Just makes sense.
747  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: US Tariff Ruling N297495 = 2.6% mandatory tariff on bitcoin mining hardware on: December 18, 2018, 03:42:58 PM
Interpretations? So you've proposed a new ruling?

Essentially we decided to not pursue mining hardware but went after the materials we source, even those outside of this area as those won't change so frequently. With hardware updating every three months you would have to know what is going to be released for a product exemption of the added tariffs. Just since late august there have been maybe 8-10 new releases? Coupled with de minimus threshold, market valuation, just seemed like patience is all that is needed when looking at product side.

What we really need to look at is supporting our good actors in domestic manufacturing like Gekko Science.

I'll be excited to see your submits on regulations.gov once available. Exemptions excepted or not I still think congratulations are in order!

So I ordered 1 Avalon a921  from blokforge.

No customs they handle it  cost me 396 paid it with a cc...

Likely duties/tariff is likely built into their pricing it just shipped from TX like they would be for our group buys from Portland.

They should drop the t15 to under 800 USD.

Seems Bitmain english store is sparse. Thoughts?
752  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: December 15, 2018, 05:57:54 AM
The work from everyone here is appreciated. Of course hats tipped to sh and vh for some quality shit. I can barely keep up with three marketing contracts otherwise I'd be diving into this even quicker.
753  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S11 20.5 TH on: December 15, 2018, 05:31:59 AM
Philipma with the breakdown. What we need right now is unit sub $800 that US buyers really want.
754  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Now that usb sticks are being sold by sidehack here is a new usb hub thread. on: December 14, 2018, 10:15:54 PM
Yea, looks great!
755  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S11 20.5 TH on: December 14, 2018, 03:42:23 PM
So weird the pre order is soo long on what is essentially old hardware. We could import these not duty free like the s9's we've been doing but feb. . for real?

Edit: Looks like they're shipping in seven days in from Chinese site. We could probably get these sooner.
756  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [30PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: December 13, 2018, 01:55:19 AM
No they're static I believe. You'd have to change addresses. -ck will be able to confirm or deny though.

I change my payout and when you do change addresses you will ramp up on new and ramp down on the other, it will balance out in the end as derp rises on one and falls on the old.
757  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: whatsminer M10, 31T,2160w, in stock, price as low as 873$ on: December 12, 2018, 11:05:44 PM
Li, not sure how firm your pricing is but sub $800 we should be able to import to the US but with a higher shipping fee without additional tariffs. If interested we can work out some detail for those who have good power rates here in the US. Of course these would be on single units, and we'll triple check with our provider this is still live.
758  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S11 20.5 TH on: December 12, 2018, 07:03:25 PM
it states no coupons could be used - I have dozens and none of them were available to be applied to the s11.

I missed the no coupons, I guess you'll have to order two or a part or something to move the pricing off of the devils number. Spare fans are always nice to have. Wink
759  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: December 12, 2018, 06:57:43 PM
Has anyone seen any detailed specs on the S15's PSU? 127/220 is a common industrial voltage output from 3 phase service in many parts of the world, but we run our farm on US 3 Phase WYE service which gives us native 208v. It's doesn't appear that the new BitMain gear is being designed for the US market, but I'm thinking perhaps the input voltage specs may actually be a little more flexible than what's being shown.

Any who, reworking the farms supply panel or adding boosters for this gear would make it cost prohibitive, as if it isn't already. Wink

I imagine it should work 208V, best efficiency will be on 220v from what I understand. Maybe some one more knowledgeable will chime in shortly.
760  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S11 20.5 TH on: December 12, 2018, 04:43:17 PM
I don't know li but if you trust them it's a good buy as the m10 won't have another batch out till late January I believe.

If the s11 unit is solid I might get one or two with coupons I have, replace the s9's. Maybe that will take away from the "mark" Stryfe mentions.

This should be under threshold for our shipper but they will charge more for delivery to soak the tariff for us. Still cheaper than 27.6%.
