NO.

If you're getting error 699, it means you have tried harvesting with >1 account on a single machine.

By default NIS is setup to allow only SINGLE harvester.

If you want to increase the number change unclockedLimit in NIS settings:

Code:
# Maximum number of unlocked accounts. Meaning: maximum number of accounts that are allowed to use this NIS for harvesting
nis.unlockedLimit = 1

I have only one open.... don't know what to do.... I tried changing the host  with no success

please help

any change you harvested locally and now trying to do delegated ?
That's like harvesting with multiple accounts at once.

Hey devs. ...i got an error when i start delegated harvesting..

"ERROR 699 - Maximum number of harvesters allowed on server has been reached."

what to do now??

You need to give more information.

Is it a local or a remote node ? I someone already harvesting there ? If it is remote, is it your node ?

This message indicates that someone is already harvesting on that node.

purchased another 1 mill but now im thinking we could see <100 :/

Don't worry. Price drop was to be expected. It's not because many are selling but because the ones that do sell are seeling way to cheap Smiley

Where are the wallet files stored (directory)?

Depends on the OS but it's located in the nem folder in your users "home" folder.
If you just want to back it up though, there is a function for that in the client in the menu in the upper right corner.

wtf?!

Your XEM need to be vested (which happens over time) before you can start harvesting.
Just wait a day or two.

I'd think Poloniex would give you directions on how to deposit on their page.

"The installer couldn´t find a valid java(tm) on this machine."

But i installed the new version about 1hr ago (link from nem.io)!   Huh

same here. ups

For the installer you'll need the 64bit version of Java. On the Java page they'll recommend the 32bit version so you gotta be carefull there.

You can try the standlaone if you don't want to install 64bit version.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Launch 31st March[Updates&Discussion] on: March 31, 2015, 06:49:34 PM
I want to download the client but the link (windows) is gone on the client page...  Only the java link works.  Very stressful in this launch-is-nigh-time. Smiley  Anyone a link to the latest windows client?

That's what launch is. The link to the launch version of the client is released.
Wait another 10 minutes Smiley

Stupid question - there is a summer time (1 hour surplus) since Adolf Hitler announced it. The 19:00 UTC is 19:00 UTC - summer time or just 19:00 UTC old winter time?

It's 1900 UTC. So it's 2100 UTC+2 which should be the timezone you're in if you're refering to Nazis, this already factors in summer time. A few days ago it would have been 2000 UTC+1 i.e. normal time.

No remote NIS found in the network, disconnected from internet? (at block 1)

same here, testnet seems to be down, blockchain-explorer not available !

ahh.. devs could well be dismantelling the test net in preparation for launch.

dev hosted nodes are being migrated. Nembex is already on live net.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - NEM is launching![Updates&Discussion] on: March 30, 2015, 08:03:39 AM
Do  I need to uninstall the Beta version? Remove the wallet?

You will once the launch-build is released.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: March 30, 2015, 07:16:00 AM
Can someone help me?

I'm trying to install NEM, please help10

1. http://bob.nem.ninja/docs/#installation
2. Dowloaded http://bob.nem.ninja/nis-ncc-0.5.19.tgz
3. uncompressed in dedicated folder
4. launched from bash (I'm on Ubuntu) nem/package/nix.runNis.sh
5. Result
Code:
/nem/package/nix.runNis.sh: line 3 : cd: nis: No such file or directory
Errorr : Can't find or load org.nem.core.deploy.CommonStarter
/nem/package/nix.runNis.sh: line 5 : cd: « OLDPWD » not defined

Idea? Java 8 is installed.

Try going into the nis folder and launch it from there instead of launching it from outside.
If that does work you can put the cd command into the .sh so you can start it from anywhere in the future.

Anybody wanna say soon ?
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: March 29, 2015, 07:07:12 PM
1 NEM is not a company.
2 Don't wann hear soon ? Stop asking.
1. So NEM doesn't want to be taken seriously?
2. So no asking questions?

The poster was asking about the newsletter.

Don't like people asking? Then stop posting teasers.

1 So you only take companies seriously ?
2 You shouldn't ask questions if you can't handle / don't want to hear the answer

758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First provably safe federated Byzantine agreement protocol on: March 28, 2015, 08:56:11 AM
Does it differ from the Ripple protocoll now ?

What always put me off about the Ripple protocoll is that validators have to trust each other and that those trust-lines have to be set manually.
Not only do validators need to trust each other, users also have to set trustlines to actually start using Ripple.
I mean sure that'll most likely make the network very secure since noone can just come an spread false data but it just doesn't right. It's not really decentralized either.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fastest transactions for an altcoin on: March 27, 2015, 06:05:15 PM
When the Ideal Reserve says "instantaneous", for the first time in the cryptocurrency industry, it's true.

Anyone can operate a Clearinghouse, and each Clearinghouse is almost as equal as any other.  Helps to be closest to the transferor.  There is no hub-and-spokes time consuming nonsense.  It is client-server since no one uses heavy clients anymore.

Since the entire world comes to agreement in 500ms even with full competition across all continents, all performant Clearinghouses sit idle for about a second at BTC's transaction rate.  Currently, the minimum requirements are a 64-bit single core from about a decade ago with 500MB RAM.  You doing that with your proof-of-waste coins?

Anyone means anyone.  No investment in MØ required.  Still waiting on your proof-of-stagnate twopence?

If you don't like the word "clearinghouse", better isolate yourself from the entire financial system.  Just put everything you have into this instead:

...

No details on the Clotho-Hydra or Argus-Nemesis until both the accountholders and Clearinghouses agree to give them out for someone else to steal.  Good luck convincing them.

Is there a whitepaper or at least technical overview of how those clearinghouses work ? Is there anything decentralized about them ? Does this thing even use a blockchain ?

Also isolating ourself from the current financial system is kinda the point of the excercise.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fastest transactions for an altcoin on: March 27, 2015, 07:41:48 AM
Ideal Reserve @ 500ms for full confirmation globally.

That's gotta be bullshit, centralized or doesn't scale at all. It should take more than 500ms for tx to even propagate though the network.
Is there a whitepaper or anything on how they plan to achieve that ?

according to the website it uses "clearing houses" which sound centralized.

Clearing houses...sounds...i dunno....sketchy ? Smiley
Sounds similar to masternodes (where clearing houses are the masternodes) but 500ms still sound impossible. Unless a single clearing house can guarantee right of the bet that a tx will be confirmed.
