I must say I am very impressed with Silkcoin so far. Responsive devs, nice people here in the thread, positive vibe, I like it! Silkcoin combines basically everything we are looking for in an altcoin: good website, awesome wallet with various integrated functions, devs that are involved. The upcoming social media integration sounds very interesting. Keep up the good work!
Thanks . We'll try our best to keep up the good work, the whole team is so dedicated to this coin, and the community is getting bigger everyday with people we never met before working full time, Silkcoin is getting slowly to the moon! Stay tuned for giveaways tomorrow! Are you up for any minor design alterations in regards to the wallet? Nothing major, but I think a minor touch here and there would improve the look of it. If so, I'd like to do an image edit of the current wallet in GIMP showing the alteration. I understand a lot of feature implementation is underway so the GUI isn't the biggest focus at the moment. Yea sure feel free to contact us, it would be great and make us gain a lot of time.

Just wondering what that 70% actually represents? Are we talking about 3 days or 3 weeks? Some kind of time frame would be clearer.
Anyway looking good if the plans succeed!
It's a bit lower than 70% i think, but we're not working on it at the moment. Priorities are : - Fixing all glitches in wallet and current functions - Marketing, find investors & such - Finishing the built in exchanger - Developping something that's not on the list , mixing social network with POS By the way, the new wallet release will soon be available in OP ! You will enjoy a market explorer in the meantime, waiting for the full built in exchanger .

Devs? We need MintPal We take the voting winner every Monday evening (UTC), we announce the official closing time earlier in the day.
Have a new coin that isn't on the list? Please contact us at support@mintpal.com with the coin details (name and code) and bitcointalk thread link and we'll get the coin added.
We reserve the right to add new markets outside of the voting system where we feel necessary. Devs already contacted mintpal. How do i get my coins out of stack? Can't send nothing now.... You can't until 350 confirms, that's why you should set a reservebalance in the settings which is the amount you DON'T want to stack to keep available. As for Mintpal, yes we asked. And, update from the devs : the new version is almost ready will be released before phase 2 !

Total coin at block 8,320 = 26,595,484 SC
block left : 1,680 x 5,000 = 8,400,000 SC
so the total is : 34,995,484 SC till block 10,000
can anyone explain this ? or dev maybe ?
coz as the state of dev the coin will be 50Mio at first stage POW
Yes this is exactly like blackcoin, since POW blocks are mixed with POS total number of coins will be lower than 100 millions, around 70 million surely. We will only know the total exact number at the end of last POW phase. @Rates you mean a phone app? We're currently working on a android wallet, but our problem atm is that it's almost impossible to make it stake and not eat all the battery.

@cryptojudge love your comments. Keep up the good spirit hyping the coin and attacking critical questions. When you are going to react to this post, try to include your mathermatics as well; how to buy 2,000,000 sc-coins at 800 sat for 4,5 btc. I am really interested to hear how you do that? Think about it this way; many people were scammed by devs that sold premined coins, so why so angry when someone tries to get some information about the premine.
First of all, for the record you are absolutely right and I am absolutely wrong on the mathematics. I made a severe calculation error. It would take 16 BTC to get 2,000,000 even without market movement. My irritation with your posts consisted of ... 1) Demanding an instant answer and threatening to use the lack of an instantaneous response by calling the coin a scam 2) Calling me part of the scam simply by posting my opinion that the premine is not important 3) Demanding an answer by threat of selling 400k coins. I believe your intentions are right but the way in which you go about them is wrong. Judge Crypto www.judgecrypto.comThanks for reacting. I indeed was rude in my post. This is not my usual behaviour. I apologize. In the past, I had some big losses on premined coins and since then I am trying to be more carefull. Last day, I bought a lot of SC. At first site, I liked this thread, things looked nice...etc. But the price keeps going down. So, I started reading again and found out that a lot of communitymembers were pretty much newbies, Always talking about how good the dev etc was. After some time, I saw another possibility of a huge scam. A dev, making a nice wallet and having lots of extra accounts, hyping the whole thing. In this mood, I decided to make a, not so nice, first post, hoping to get some clear answers. I am happy with the info I got about the premine, but still don't get it, we are going down. 22M is mined now. Maybe there will remain some more downward pressure, but in my opinion most of the selling is finished. In the meantime we keep going down. Every buy-order I put in, 15% below the price, gets matched within 2 hours. Thanks for the apology. I also apologize as well, as I should be more understanding of people getting irritated with scam devs. We are both stakeholders so we should be working together. Some things I think to help the coin 1) Get on mintpal. Bittrex is small volume and Poloniex is even smaller. We need someplace that has more liquidity to absorb the sells. Even if we are too late for the first PoW stage it will still help in PoS if there are more BTC in buy volume available. 2) Get a Reddit community started. Many see that as a good benchmark for community. 3) Focus on some objectives for the coin. Post them here and update as progress is done. People get scared when the thread is slow on a new coin. People have been burned many times as evidence by some of the interactions by otherwise reasonable people. 4) A multipool needs to be setup to kick in after PoW stage. Just some thoughts. - Already asked for Mintpal, and anyway it will come in time we are not worried. It's only the beginning. - Reddit just got setup today, see the OP i updated the social. Most activity will start tomorrow i guess, with the giveaway and new wallet. - We'll soon be more transparent about the plan we just have so much to do currently it would take too much time to detail every step, wait until we're a little bit more settled it's been only 3 days. - We already got 3 pools with payout in silkcoins including Hashcows ready to kick in POS phase

Every buy-order I put in, 15% below the price, gets matched within 2 hours. As long as we're still in POW phase price won't explode, and don't forget our coin is being massively dumped by all the multipools, this is an chance for many people to buy in at a low price. We got integrated a few hours after launch on Bittrex, but it was sure the price would go down along with POW generation, we expect a high at phase 2, another down at 3rd phase but still higher than now, and explosion at last phase, this is the most logical scenario if we handle well promo & dev. Also for false accounts you can look at all the posters there's also a lot of senior members defending us and even ask people that are now part of the team (who we never knew before, in fact we knew no one almost hehe) they will tell you that even if we wanted we do not have time for this.Spending our time improving the community and wallet features is a way better time investment than creating fake 0 post accounts, or spamming hate in other threads. Ps : some people were wondering how a bit after launch we had 1000 diff and the main pool supernova wasn't getting that much blocks, it was because we were under massive mining of multi pools, most of the sell orders are from them.

When's the Bittrex exchanger going to be ready ? We got slowed down because we are trying to use the libraries already present in the code not adding some more (or the least possible), and at first we didn't . Some libraries cause problems when compiling the windows client as we have seen at launch, that's why we had to remove the "Pools and Exchanges" page. So don't expect it very soon . For the moment there will be a small updates surely tomorrow or the day after fixing a few glitches (in stats page for example) and replacing the pools & exchanges page with live market data from bittrex. But you won't be able to trade for now.

Thanks again for the info. I am sorry for being so direct. I guess, I have been disappointed too often. No problem it's normal, but we thought everybody would've looked into the block explorer. The premine was block 1 : 5000 and block 2 : 2000000. We'll give you the details of each bounty quite soon, but I think at the moment you can guess most of it (biggest are 30k for bittrex and 10k for flubber fixing the rpc error)

Ok, first of all you need to tick the "coin control feature" in settings so you don't waste your coin age when sending transactions (i think that's what happenned here).
Where is this? Under settings on the wallet? All if have is encrypt, change passphrase, lock wallet and options under settings.
Then you have an option in the settings menu "Unlock wallet" so you can unlock for stalking. (This is only if you encrypted your wallet)
I encrypted wallet but even before I didn't have any option of " coin control feature "
I know I am just missing something and going to slap myself when someone points out where it is. Also under " file " All I have backup, export, sign and verify. So I have had the " No staking because no mature coins for over 24 hours...
If anyone can tell me where the tick " coin control feature option is exactly" or why I don't have that option it would be appreciated. Thank you.
Also my wallet is unlocked etc.. like any other pos coin I have done before.
Edit - the only thing I ahve not done is started the qt wallet client with -server if that is needed.
Coin control is in : Settings => Options => Display => Display coin control features And thanks for the article we'll send you a bounty right away ! Please post your wallet address. By the way, total hashrate in Stats is fixed we'll release this version tomorrow night:

Good job. I can confirm the wallet is working on Windows 8.1 x64 and typing getmininginfo in the console no longer crashes the wallet. The 'About silkcoin card' tab under the Help menu still takes you to www.silkcoin.com instead of www.silk-coin.comYes thanks for pointing that out in the first place. This fix is only for the runtime error, new wallet version is coming out soon with all the minor fixes as the silkcoin.com link. Our priority was to release the fix for the runtime error as soon as possible.

I miss my wallet and its coins, I remember i would sit in front of my monitor and smoke a blunt looking at the camel wondering are you gonna be as high as me. Man those were the days....... My wallet still doesnt work mine did not work for ages but since applying Delete C:/ProgramData/boost_interprocess/XXXX (XXXX=a folder with random numbers eg. 231313) then relaunch the wallet. works smooth after that ... I wonder if a way to tell windows to delete that file every time the wallet shuts down would fix the problem? Yea we thought of that at first, at least in the meantime, but we can't call this a fix . But good news, it seems the problem with debug log and runtime error was fixed by flubber and release will be available soon! And one last time before the fix :The error we're talking about triggers when you type 'help' or an non existant command in debug log, you can type 'getstakinginfo' or 'getinfo' it will not crash. To reopen your wallet delete C:/ProgramData/boost_interprocess/XXXX . Also you cannot lose your coins. DON'T TYPE HELP OR RANDOM COMMANDS UNTIL WE RELEASE THE FIX. But even if you do it's not the end of the world, just delete the boost file. Edit because of 360sec limit : Silkcoin added to coinmarketcap !!

Couple quick quick questions.
12 hours on stake maturity right? ( have coins way beyond that still says no mature coins for staking )
Question for above - If you have say 100k coins that are mature enough and then you deposit 10k and then take out 10k and deposit 10k and take out 10k etc.... it should not touch your original 100k mature coins right? Any withdraws logically would be taken from the most recently deposited coins?
I don't know if pos for sc wallet was changed to not need to encrypt, unlock " walletpassphrase command etc " ( tried it both ways just in case, still nothing )
Maybe when i took out a few coins it reset all my coins maturity even though I never took out enough to even come close to the first transaction timestamp and amount.
Thanks in advance.
Was always curious how doing transactions with a POS coin would affect older coins in the wallet.
Ok, first of all you need to tick the "coin control feature" in settings so you don't waste your coin age when sending transactions (i think that's what happenned here). Then you have an option in the settings menu "Unlock wallet" so you can unlock for stalking. (This is only if you encrypted your wallet) Then when 12 hours have passes you'll see the lightning icon turn yellow, and when you hover it, it will give you infos about your stake. But keep in mind stake blocks are a bit random as are normal blocks so the time before you hit a block may be lower or higher than the "expected time" shown, it's just an indication. Debug console is not needed in either cases.
