You know...the one where their much anticipated product ships to consumers...

MONEY,

You used complex punctuation.  That likely prevented him from comprehending.  He saw the comma and then started thinking about how only pathetic cunts use commas and then had a roid rage blackout for the rest of the post.
Good point.

It's cool, he'll die from auto-erotic asphyxiation soon anyways...

...such...bad...grammar...

745  Other / Off-topic / Re: Contest: WTHAI?: Win up to 20 BTC Daily on: December 29, 2011, 06:53:09 PM
WTHA1: is in the northern hemisphere, likely south of 60 degrees north, north of 22 degrees north. That rules out Africa.

WTHA2: is closer to the equator, the only visible shaddows appear to exgagerated by the nearby creakbed. I Estimate summer, between 0 degrees north and 45 degrees north.

WTHA3: No visible shadow detail, hint given is "south america"

WTHA4: Cloud shadows suggest morning near the equator, likey between 30 degrees south/north. Hint was "Africa", my analysis narrows it to north Africa.

WTHA5: Shadow detail is hard to see; appears to be another morning image. Hint was Asia. I think I can narrow it to between 22 south and 45 north, which eliminates most of Russia.

PS: voted both "Yes" and "No" in the poll Smiley

I think your shadow information is irrelevant...can you explain it further?

<snip>

What does any of your comment have to do with anything? We already get that you won't give your chump change donation to OPUSA. Cool story bro...now why don't you stop polluting a good thread with your ignorant garbage?

Please delete or edit your comment so that people researching bitcoin100 won't be assaulted by your ill conceived hatred.

astana response template.

Hey asty! Just copy and paste the following and select your responses by checkmark, so you don't have to tax your mind trying to come up with original material.

"All of (A)the Mods, (B) people I pass on the street, (C) voices in my heads are (A) lyars, (B) liers, (C) liers and pathetic cunts, who owe me (A) everything I have ever paid to anyone, (B) one jizzillion simmolians (C) a full return of all my money, compensation for that time my mum smacked me for saying pathetic cunts at the dinner table, and thirty high end graphics cards at half price that I can distribute to orphans in Melbourne; because you are (A) a pathetic cunt, (B) a lier, (C) in league with everyone else on the interwebs to change my posts be a lyar and make fake posts because you are a mod and a pathetic cunt.

If you don't give me (A) all the money mentioned above, (B) absolution for my corrupt soul, I will be forced to (A) hurl naughty taunting remarks at you, (B) let the world know that pathetic cunts are terrible liers, (C) become a mod so I can get friends and change my own posts too, and then you will see, I will find who stole my ice cream sandwich.

You are a lyar, and I (A) demand, (B) demand with unnatural fervor, (C) demand with the vengeance of a scorned pathetic cunt, that you (A) report yourself to the Antarctic Police for lyaring, (B) fly to my house in four years so that I can threaten to kick your pathetic cunt ass balls from the safety of my mum's basement, (C) tell my mum it was all a joke because she is going to take away my interwebz for a month if I say pathetic cunts in public again.

The authorities have been notified, and I have just (A) cancelled several PayPal transactions with false statements and intent to cheat, (B) made false claims in print and am butthurt from being bitch-slapped by the world, (C) just want all the noise to stop, why does everyone hate me so much, and don't you think I look pretty in this Pretty Princess outfit?

Just another public service from the House of Loup, "When only the best will do, let the Loup do..."

Loup, I know I have talked some shit about you in the past, but my god, you have filled this thread with pure and eloquent comedy gold. Goddamn...

shakaru, you provide a valuable service to the community and I would hate to see you deterred by this pitiful little fucktard of a man. I hope everything works out.

astana, I hope you didn't pass your brain-fuckling (you know, like the brain fuckler, mad fuckler of brains?) case of syphilis along to your ladyfriend. It can cause severe complications during pregnancy and is seemingly the only explanation for your degenerate behavior and poor spelling and grammar. You are a blight on this community, and the world in general. Drink heavily and get hit by a city bus this new year's eve so this matter gets settled in a timely fashion.

Official Bitcoinica statement: they aren't actually out of funds, and the problem will be fixed in a couple of hours.

Why is the official bitcoinica line coming via you and not bitcoinica themselves?

I imagine they have bigger fish to fry right now than dicking around on the forums.
750  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Green Addresses on: December 28, 2011, 04:12:00 AM
Also how computational expensive is it to create a new address each time?
Your average modern processor should be able to generate just shy of 1 million private/public keypair combinations per second.

Collisions are also practically nonexistent, taking 28.23 trillion trillion trillion centuries to brute-force if you singled in on a single address (and that's assuming one hundred trillion guesses per second, around ). This time goes down as the array of pubkeys you're trying to crack grows, but the processing slows down as you have to check every generated privkey against that array. I don't know where the trade-off is.

Still, that's.. uh.. 2823000000000000000000000000000000000000 years. Earth has existed for 6000.

FTFY. Go with god, bro.

I was referring to the 'proprietary implementation of ASIC and FPGA technology' that BFL is currently wowing us with...except there is no ASIC.

<troll> USB UARTs are ASICs right? </troll>

Yeah. I am pretty sure they will be responsible for doubling the performance in the rig box. It's all in the USB hub, holmes.

Where exactly is that ASIC again?
Do you want to know? I'll be glad to tell you: [Tycho] AKA Deepbit is developing it. You're welcome.

Operation USA is a much better option than Red Cross. Their overhead is miniscule, and it is one of the largest relief NGO. Richard Walden, the director, gave me four duffel bags of medication to bring with me to a hospital in rural Nicaragua...like, had me come in to one of their warehouses and walked around with me loading up bags with things he knew to be in short supply there. I'd like to see the red cross provide direct relief like that, without worrying about taking credit or how it is getting there. It blew my mind, and was immensely appreciated by the recipients.

Side note, I made it through US and Nicaragua customs with 8000 aspirin and a myriad of tampons, bandages, antibiotics, and surgical equipment, no questions asked.

www.opusa.org

Anyone wishing for their philanthropy to actually make it to those in need should take note.

I'm not American and the name of this charity sounds like everything I hate in the universe.
Didn't they make a movie about this with puppets? (they blew up Paris and Kim Jong Il sang a song about being 'so ronery')

You're thinking about the movie "Team America" whereas Operation USA (www.opusa.org) is an international relief agency that helps communities abroad and at home overcome the effects of disasters, disease and endemic poverty by providing privately-funded relief, reconstruction and development aid. They also have several long-term projects promoting education and health services worldwide.

Don't worry! Others may have also made that same mistake. Hope that clears this up for you. Thank you kindly for supporting Bitcoin100, dancupid.

~Bruno~

I doubt there are many people outside of America who don't laugh and then feel slightly nauseous and then feel empathic embarrassment when the hear their name -  but if they need to make right wing middle Americans feel patriotic in order for them to give to charity then that's what they need to do. But the rest of the world laughs at this kind of thing - and for the record I don't want any of my bitcoins going to them.

To the contrary, there are a vast number of people all over the world who definitely don't laugh when they hear their name. No one from that hospital in Siuna laughed when I told them who sent those thousands of dollars worth of medical supplies. For you to oppose an effective relief organization because of its name is downright ignorant, and racist to boot.

But hey, my motto is, 'you should probably just do whatever you want.' If you are bound to your ignorance and prejudices, so be it. That's your right...but seriously, you should read things before criticizing them.

Just a little side note for you...Canada fucked the North Atlantic Autonomous Region of Nicaragua, not the US.

Let's see where we are in mid-January, better data, better conclusions.

That's basically what I said in October...

If you grow weary of BFL bashing, perhaps you should stop reading this thread. They haven't really given anyone a reason to stop bashing them. Most of the wild allegations have been proven true.

Where exactly is that ASIC again?
756  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many of you have been Zhoutonged? on: December 27, 2011, 03:21:11 AM
In response to phantomcircuit, and various other participants:

I'm aware of this issue and that's why I have reversed some of the forced liquidations that are deemed inaccurate. In the following days, I will do these two things:

1. Improve the pricing algorithm to prevent the unnecessary spikes.

2. Make charts for history quotes available, for every day since we launched. The chart will look similar to phantomcircuit's, showing both buying prices and selling prices.

I apologize for not doing enough to protect our customers' interest in terms of system engineering.

commendable.

You guys didn't give BFL a chance.  From day one on the original thread you were accusing them of being scammers.
Because we didn't believe their claims. And we were right. There is no 1GH/s, 20w, $700, miner.
after taking 2 days to read all the threads....  give em a break that was before the POC.  now it is 800+ at 80w. still awesome! with a good chance at 60-70W with the better psu

No, POC is still 4-6 weeks from delivery...just like three months ago. I could get you some (READ: ONLY TWO UNITS HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO EXIST) friggin' FPGAs built if you gave me thousands of dollars and a few months, and I am borderline retarded when it comes to computers.
How many need to exist? My understanding is that first pre-orders should be delivered in mid-January.  I would rather have a late widget than no widget, or a widget that is in imminent danger of failure due to insufficient power handling/capacity.

Isn't the purpose of the prototype to shake out these types of design deficiencies?  I don't think it would make sense to fab 100 of these and then have 100 fail in customers' possession.  Sure the development process has revealed mistakes, but that is one of the characteristics of development by marketing amateurs.

ftfy

How many iphone releases have been delayed because they didn't work?

And as far as how many should exist? At least one development board to serve as POC and measure exact speeds and power consumption, the only really relevant numbers in their whole game. That obviously didn't happen until pretty recently.
