Yes, Nowadays, Most of the ICO projects are focusing on exchanges to make money. That's why every month we are seeing several new Exchange-based ICO Projects are coming. Investors are investing too. But at the end of the day, most of the exchanges are valueless. Especially many decentralized exchanges are totally worthless. some centralized exchanges are too. Too many exchanges are dividing investors because we have less investor or trades than exchanges. Personally, I have no hope in new exchanges anymore, because I have already plenty of options to exchange my coins.

Day by day bitcoin will be accepted in every country, this is my dream. India is a country in South Asia, if I am not wrong, they banned bitcoin, and again they open the door for the bitcoin, At this moment, India is trying to pull bitcoin under regulations. It is a tough job to give someone suggestion about ICO investment project. Because a lot of ICO projects scammed people last two months. Many ICO got success but they can't make good thing when they listed on exchanges. But, until some ICO seems good to me for their activity and their past success ratio.

Yes, Long time holding is a smart decision for some specific crypto coins, not for every coin. Many good altcoins become dust within 2 or 3 years. So, every coin is not for hold. We can expect it but I don't know is really bitcoin come back or no. Because bitcoin price is now 7400 USD and this price doesn't prove that bitcoin has come back. We have seen several market price in these months. Sometimes bitcoin went to 9900K USD and sometimes it went to 5800 USD. This sudden price pumps proved to me how volatile bitcoin price is. Within few minutes bitcoin hit 6600 to 7400 USD! And it can happen in price down too. That's why I can't tell actually bitcoin has comeback or no. After the end of this year, we can see many things and we hope for good. But I don't think this bitcoin pump is the starting for that market recover.

I am holding my several coins from the golden time of the crypto history! I mean when bitcoin price was 18K USD. I have seen price up and even 60% down in these months but I did not sell my assets. Because I am not the panic seller, I know the crypto market will regain soon or later. It just matters of time to recover the price. Before investing, I had no plan to hold for 6 months only. I am here! I invested in bitcoin when its price was 17-18K USD. But now the bitcoin price is 7400 USD! I am in huge damage as you mentioned in this post/topic. Both are very good Coins and their rank is pretty well. But between NEO and ADA, I would choose NEO for the winner. NEO has a working platform.
