741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $10 in Bitcoin. What coin should I invest in? on: September 06, 2015, 10:11:56 PM
Too many people pumping their shit coins, now if you are willing to stake and have the pc running 24/7 then buy a pos coin and just stake it.

Currently staking sprouts - put about $5 of that $10 into what I already have Smiley

Anything you're staking?
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $10 in Bitcoin. What coin should I invest in? on: September 06, 2015, 10:09:38 PM
Even if you find a coin that makes %100 in pump your money will be 20$, that's nothing significant.
When you invest small money your gain will be small. You can't expect big money from small investment, unless your coin tenfolds multiple times.
I suggest you to spend that 10$ for whatever you like in real life.

I should have added in the OP that the $10 I mentioned isn't all I have. Before that ten dollars, I had about thirty spread out between btc and various alts - some of which have brought me some profit, most lay stagnant.

Still taking recommendations!

I stumbled onto this coin last week, and glad I did.  Trying to stake my first interest now.  My first chunks are barely mature so it may take awhile.

Mining sprouts also, not with much power, just under a TH.  I think it's more profitable to mine btc and just buy them though.  I am doing that as well.

I am wondering how no cap will affect pricing down the road.  It certainly isn't hurting it now  Cheesy

Hey, just curious what type of miner you use? I'm trying to buy one but most are too expensive for this broke ass student ;_;

Day 3 of staking completed... Can't wait to sprout!

Greetings!

Know what you mean, I have been there.

I have two Antminer S3 running (440 GH), and seven Antminer S5 (1150 GH).  I have a few S1 units (200 GH)I am using for doorstops.

The Antminer S7 is shipping soon, if you have $1850.  They sell a good PSU to run them for another $150.

I have several more S3 units I took offline that I would be willing to sell.  They require 400 watts minimum of 12V DC to run, and PSU will not be included.  Check ebay for the S3 and tick 'completed sales' and you can see what they are selling for.  If you are interested shoot me a pm and we can discuss it.

While you are on ebay check my feedback and feedback comments.  You'll like what you see.

Let me know how your staking goes too, if you have time.  My first blocks should be ready to go tomorrow, 6 days old.

Thanks for the reply! I'll PM you here for an eBay contact.

So you got your mint stake? Congrats - if you don't mind sharing, what amount did you stake, or what was the reward?

I have 16k sprouts that just matured earlier today...but when I click on the % bar it says 0 for 24hrs, but 100% next thirty days...couldnt be more vague lol

But regarding miners - I couldn't afford the S7...let alone the PSU for it! My budget would actually be around $150 - I know it's not much, but at the same time I'm not buying a miner hoping to get rich over night Smiley  just something to start out with.

Cheers, send me your eBay info!

Problem is that the privacy issues are now being ported to Windows 7 and 8.

Have these rolled out yet? If not, do you know of a release date?

It's like I'm really in middle school!

....I was about to ask why even waste the time to shitpost like this, but OP believes in ghosts so I think he actually is in middle school  Sad

OP was masturbating when he saw a ghost and peed all over.

Now he/she just wants to know if he/she's normal.

Don't be too hard...

Oh, I'm hard alright...  >:]

Wenk wenk

I'm literally peeing as I type this, with a hard-on - as a result, gotta stand on my hands upside down to aim & type with my nose (doing handstand push-ups for each keystroke) on my phone

It's so hard to aim getting my phone wet it's all over my face
746  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gay porn sites registered to virginia shooter on: September 06, 2015, 09:45:43 PM
(CNN)The man who murdered a television reporter and cameraman on live television set up websites that featured gay porn, according to records obtained by CNN.

So what?  Gay people kill people - they are have the same feelings (jealously, anger, etc) as straight people.

More straight people commit murders than gay people.  We should be thanking these gays!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around OP's point of view...

He'll probably read this comment and think I'm coming on to him  Grin

Here's a peers.dat from 9/6/15 2:57PM EST with 14 connections. Just do the initial startup to get your base files, close the wallet (backup your wallet.dat if neccessary), replace peers.dat, and start the wallet back up. You should get more connections faster. If you wait too long from the time of upload it may not work as well but I can always get you a fresh copy.

Thanks for this!

Guess what - as soon as I withdrew my coins back into the wallet....BAM! Instant notification balloon.  Not only that...BAM! No notification lingered!

Don't know what the problem was, but all caught up now.

Only downside is my coins aren't mature any more  Cry

Appreciate the help Cheesy

I took the liberty of making a list of coins Monero has to get through to get to LTC:

I here Hummers can climb 90 degree inclines.

Maybe Monero should get one of those to beat LTC?

LTC used BURN! it's super effective!

Does anyone know the last time a government actually  proved what amount of gold they claim?

...and what happened to all of Gaddafi's?
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best mining hardware? on: September 06, 2015, 05:39:58 AM
Wow, such profit!
I have been using my GPU's to mine ethereum.

How have you fared so far?  And with what GPUs?  Just curious as I've been looking into doing the same  Grin

Ethereum and Ethereum clone are best mined with the following: HD 7970, R9 280x, HD 7990 or 295x2. These cards probably have the best hash power per watt and better scalability.

My mining rig has 3x HD 7970's that do 68~71 MHS and do about a block a day with Ethereum or 6 to 8 blocks with SHIFTcoin.

Damn, that's awesome! Thanks for the reply & info Smiley

I have 17 connections in my wallet, just received another stake of 5.21 coins.
So for me it is working flawlessly.

can you share your node list?

Are you having problems similar to mine? (two posts up)

Sup Dev, and fellow Swingers  Wink

I've noticed something off with the wallet:

I've made two deposits today, from exchange to wallet.  The transaction itself works flawlessly (and FAST!), but the notification bubble doesn't pop up on the taskbar (which says incoming transaction) for HOURS!

I know it isn't that big of a deal, nothing risky, but shouldn't I get a notification approximately the same time it actually deposits into my wallet?

I keep thinking there are extra deposits incoming  Cry

Cheers!  Cheesy

I was not able to replicate this issue. Is anyone else having this problem?

I've noticed that sometimes when I stake a block the notification bubble doesn't get dismissed, so if I glance over at it later it's still there and I briefly think I may have gotten a payment. Is that what you are experiencing or delayed notifications? That's the closest I've been able to come to replicating the issue you described.

I don't think it's a dismissal error, but then again I've always closed the bubble manually.  Although the two times I did have incoming deposits, I can say with 100% certainty that it was a delayed notification.  I'd replicate it again if I could, just to see if it's my client in particular bugging out...but I got no SWING to bring in lol  Cheesy that and my stake time has been on '3 hours remaining' for....two hours now!  I'll let you know if I hit a block...

Alright Smiley

Keep in mind that time is just a guestimate. If net weight or POS difficulty went up that would explain your estimate not going down. Just let it sit you should break blocks eventually.  Smiley

I've just noticed my wallet says 'out of sync' now?  I have 7 active connections, it's been running all day, but my 'three hours remaining' is still present.  Any ideas why this is happening?
