Look at how the price just went over $440. That's because of the support the price has been having. No way it would drop under $400. Those who where waiting for it are better off buying now before it goes up higher.
The price is around $450 now. I do not care about the price rise. If it is too fast, it is bad for bitcoin. If it rise <0.1% per day, that is good. Why you do not like the fast increase in bitcoin ? All people who hold their coins are happy with that. IMO what I do not like is the fast and surprising drops in the price.

If you did not give your private keys to anyone, these bitcoin will be gone forever. That is why I told my brother where I stored my priv keys and I taught him how could he spend them.

I do not think we need to deal with 0 confirmation transactions. waiting for 10 or 20 minutes for the first confirmation is not a big deal for me
Replace-By-Fee can really help to cancel any transaction was sent by mistake. I will consider it as a few minutes charge back service

North Korea said it successfully tested a powerful nuclear bomb on Wednesday, drawing threats of further sanctions even though the United States and weapons experts voiced doubts the device was as advanced as the isolated nation claimed. The underground explosion shook the earth so hard that it registered as a seismic event with U.S. earthquake monitors. It put pressure on China to rein in neighboring North Korea. The U.N. Security Council said it would begin working immediately on significant new measures in response to North Korea, a threat diplomats said could mean an expansion of sanctions. North Korea has been under Security Council sanctions since it first tested an atomic device in 2006. After a nuclear test in 2013, the Security Council took about three weeks to agree a resolution that tightened financial restrictions and cracked down on Pyongyang's attempts to ship and receive banned cargo. www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-nuclear-idUSKBN0UK0G420160106

Bitcoin fans in Canada – or Toronto at least – are going to be able to benefit from longer hours of bitcoin ATM access as Decentral, blockchain and decentralized consultants, have adapted their office at 123 Spadina Avenue to allow access to its bitcoin machine from 9am to 9pm, 365 days a year, even outside the normal office hours. Decentral, who has previously worked with companies such as Deloitte, has installed a glass partition between the office space and the bitcoin ATM to allow access when the office is not in use; however, in case of problems, there is a WiFi-equipped ring doorbell which allows communication with the staff in case of problems using the machine. Reporting great success with this system for the past couple of weeks, Decentral has stated that they are looking to expand the bitcoin ATM network further, with the aim of introducing them to Mississauga, Scarborough and midtown Toronto. http://allcoinsnews.com/2016/01/06/extended-hours-for-decentral-atm/

Is this a scam exit ? As I read a lot of threads complain about their delays in deposits and withdraws. Or it's just some maintenance and they will continue?

I support gun control to limit the number of killing crimes as long as there is a good government. But when the government is corrupted and no one take his rights or a country has some unstable system, guns are required for everyone to protect himself and his family from evil people

BitFury, the third-largest mining operation by total hashrate, announced in December that it will be mass-producing its custom 16nm ASIC chip and selling the chip directly to consumers. “Each chip will achieve 40-55 GH/s at the highest possible efficiency of 0.055-0.07 J/GH. From 55 GH/s to 180 GH/s the chop follows nearly linear slop of efficiency from ~0.06 J/GH to 0.2 J/GH,” said Valery Vavilov, CEO of BitFury, in an interview with Bitcoin Magazine . Further, the 16nm chip is capable of running with a power supply voltage of 0.35 V. The cooling mechanism used with these mining chips is an important factor in determining the maximum hashrate. According to the company’s announcement, for miners using a traditional air cooling setup, the ASIC will be able to reach hashing power of 140 GH/s. However, by using liquid immersion cooling, the chip can reach hashrates of up to 184 GH/s. In October, BitFury announced that it would be using 3M’s Novec 7100 Engineered Fluid for immersion cooling in its data centers. read the full article : https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitfury-to-mass-produce-new-nm-chip-and-sell-to-public-1452010171

When a baby boy was born on August 4, 1961, the local newspaper announced his birth, as it did many others. More than a declaration of happy news by his parents, those few lines of information were part of a long-lasting tradition -- using the local daily to register, at a set point in time, the addition of a new person to society. Seemingly inconsequential timestamps like these occur every day and, as it turns out, play a key role in ensuring more fair and just societies. It's not just limited to births. Kidnappers take photos of hostages holding the front page of a recent newspaper to act as proof that they are still alive. Governments often require entrepreneurs to publish the establishment of their new company in a local newspaper. Beyond newspapers, a postmark confirms to a government that taxpayers filed their taxes on time. A patent helps inventors to prove that they developed an invention first. "By putting business licences, property titles or birth certificates on the blockchain, governments will enable citizens to digitally conduct transactions without lawyers, notaries or queuing at government offices" Brian Forde and Michael Casey read the full article: http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2016-01/05/blockchain-is-the-new-signature

As long as a system requires technical expertise for operation, it will be relegated to use by a small group of technologists. If every person who walked onto an elevator was presented with a keyboard and DOS-style command line terminal, most of us would be looking for the stairs. The nerds among us may eagerly seek out the proverbial programmable elevators, but the average person just wants to push a button to get from one floor to the next, not master gravity-defying vehicles. Bitcoin addresses have long been a point of confusion for new users introduced to the technology. It's difficult explaining a bitcoin address through analogy, because none of the comparisons quite match. They're kind of like email addresses – free to create and unlimited in number – but they're randomly assigned, and difficult to memorize, more like a phone number. But bitcoin addresses are not always bidirectional like a phone number. Suppose you receive money from a friend, and later you want to send some money back to him. The address you received funds from initially may belong to your friend or just the bitcoin service he uses. Funds sent to the address may arrive to your friend – assuming he has backed up his wallet – or they may just line the bitcoin service’s pockets, never to be refunded. BTCC is the latest victim of the Bitcoin-for-DDoS extortion scheme, but unfortunately for the attacker, the company was financially capable of implementing better DDoS protection measures and make the attacker go away. The first DDoS attack took place on December 31, as Crypto Currency News reports, and seemed to be quite small in capacity. As soon as the attack ended, the company, a well-known Bitcoin trader, received a ransom email from the (currently unknown) attacker. The email warned the company of more DDoS attacks unless they'd pay a ransom of 1 Bitcoin (around $425). On January 1, the attacker continued its assault, launching a 10 Gbps attack.
