741  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coss.io 4 months and no coins on: May 25, 2018, 09:26:18 PM
You mean Jan 12, right? It seems that the withdrawal on the 15th went through. Have you tried sending an email to support@coss.io aside from the freshdesk support? If not, try it as well. It's been a long time, so it should be resolved already.

Btw, there have been several cases of stuck withdrawals in the site last January, saw it on reddit, but I'm not sure if those people got their coins.
742  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines Welcomes Fintech Companies on: May 25, 2018, 07:21:02 PM
It is great that the Philippines is embracing innovation. It seems that the news wasn't spread enough though. If it will be announced/published in different ways, people here that are not aware of Crypto and Blokchain will most likely be curious of what it is and try to look for it. Anyway, Filipinos, especially those in Cagayan Valley will surely be more happy and proud once it goes well. Looking forward into it.

Oh I saw it in inquirer.net too http://business.inquirer.net/251222/cagayan-ecozone-seen-fintech-hub

@wvizmanos just edit your main post and put the reference link there. It's a must
743  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: May 25, 2018, 04:54:13 PM
744  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-23] Google Tries Hiring Vitalik Buterin for a Secret Crypto Project on: May 25, 2018, 06:52:33 AM
But the fact that he is seen as a messiah is terrible. Ethereum will need to prove at some point that it is a decentralized project. This is essential. He could continue to contribute.

I do not know if the path of a platform like Ethereum is disrupting Google. In fact, I think that google can benefit greatly by anticipating some changes that cryptocurrencies will force.

I did not say that having a Lord Vitalik in Ethereum is good, but he is the one holding that community together. If he leaves then the interest for the project might slowly go away and scatter to other projects.

It will never be decentralized the same way like bitcoin.
I agree. The thing is, if the founder itself leaves the project, how do the supporters stay. That's the common mindset. I don't mean all supporters will lose trust in the project but most probably there are and it will really affect Ethereum's price.

In the twitter poll, I think he only wants to see how the supporters will react, but will not drop Eth anyway (this is just an speculation though).
745  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: XYONetwork Email Scam From Imposter Domain on: May 24, 2018, 10:22:51 PM
They are not good at scamming. The real URL was exposed and that's a good thing because the recipients of the email will recognize easily that it is a phishing link.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 23, 2018, 09:00:21 PM
Whats up with that thing about free distribution of byteballs to the first 100k(?) wallets? Is that true? I heard that eventually first hundred thousand users will receive free bytes! Am I too late? What is the number of bytetball addresses/wallets?
Where did you get the info from? If it is true, I believe they will announce it first here and in their social media accounts, but I have not seen any. So, I doubt it. The only recent distribution method I know is by contributing to World Community Grid.

this is just not true. i would have read about it. @jhenfelipe: or did you talk to tony in private and he told you this? i dont think so....
Why did you mention me? I also said that I haven't seen any announcement about that. Moreover, I didn't and never talked to tony in private, just to be clear, if ever that question is for me.

For as long as I can remember this message has been part of the topic start:

"One last thing.  The remaining 1% will be given away to the first 100m users who install Byteball wallet, 100 Kbytes to each user.  This will start 6 months from now or later, after we get ready for that scale."
Oh thanks for sharing. I checked and saw it now in the main post. There's no news about it anymore, but yeah let's wait and see
747  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: @cryptogift Is a big SCAMMER on: May 23, 2018, 05:34:59 PM
His forum account was already tagged/got negative feedback from DT members. Check his trust page, both Trusted and Untrusted feedbacks, all are negative (well, you should have done that before). Doing some research first will help you avoid dealing with scammers. Be extra careful next time.

Plus, Read this helpful thread: Avoid auto-buy links, mainly locked or self moderated. Register before dealing

749  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HITBTC KYC/AML, can't withdraw 7 ether on: May 21, 2018, 11:52:31 PM
I remember one user posted about this KYC/AML of HitBTC and it seems to be an endless questioning. Explain it in detail to them + screenshots (I suggest you to provide the full display). They will surely insist to know the origin of the funds. I will not be surprised if they even asked you where did you get the 3ETH you used to invest in BANCA ico pool.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokensuite Bounty Campaigns on: May 21, 2018, 11:30:15 PM
IMO, if you will join bounty campaigns, you should not depend 100% on the manager. I mean, for example, just because you trust needmoney doesn't mean that the campaign he manage is trustworthy enough. You should still do the research yourself about the project.

Tbh, imo needmoney just do the job. However, what's much important is if he does it well. By checking the campaigns he managed and currently managing, he is not filtering the bounty participants, which results to a number of bounty cheaters abusing the bounties. I think he is also not checking if the campaign is legit before managing it (well, this is just a speculation).

As a bounty member, I can't trust them anymore. What should we do here?
Scam projects/ICO/campaigns and scammers are not moderated here in the forum. It is your duty to do the research and choose wisely where you'll join or invest.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex dying? on: May 21, 2018, 09:41:29 PM
Competition. If the competitor provides a greater service than them, then it will gain more attention.

I also remember seeing Poloniex suggested with Bittrex when it comes to exchange listings before. However, since there have been deposit/withdrawal issues and their support atm is not that good, users started to leave the exchange. The Circle Poloniex Team said that they are working on it. I believe once they fix the issues and the site works smoothly again, old users will come back plus they can attract new users as well.
752  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance phishing email on: May 21, 2018, 08:43:22 PM
I wonder if the email went directly in your inbox and not in spam folder.
Anyway, you can try https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see if your email has been compromised in a data breach. Cryptopia insists that their site wasn't hacked before (during the failed log in attempts issue), and recommended this site to check too.

I got three results but none of them are crypto related and I'm pretty sure I never used these sites before so I doubt phishing attempts are coming from there.

I have also received another email (the same as the one posted in the OP) last night.
timerland has a point about the site not having all leaks in the database (especially the new ones). Most likely it came from another source. However, how come your email was detected if you never used the sites before?

Maybe the hacker(s) failed in fooling Binance users, so they did a second attempt. I also saw another user on reddit who got the same email again. I'm not sure what was Binance solution to this, but their reddit mod is sending a message to those who report that they receive the said email (see here and here).
753  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT BEWARE on: May 20, 2018, 11:59:03 PM
I don't think there's another way. Other users who have problem with Yobit have nothing to do either, but to wait for Yobit's response to their ticket. What do you mean exactly with cannot withdraw?
754  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MERCATOX - Cryptocurrency and E-currency Exchange. E-wallet. P2P Exchange on: May 20, 2018, 11:25:34 PM
hi... i loss my device with my codes 2FA ... i send a email to "support@mercatox.com" and , you dont answer me ... thanks you Smiley
Sorry, but no one from Mercatox will answer you here too.
Have you made the correct email to them? If you're not aware, they gave a procedure to reset it.

Such user have to send an e-mail to support@mercatox.com from e-mail he(she) registered account with attached photo of himself with ID (passport, driver license etc) in his(her) hands.

We need it for the security reasons. ID have to be readable. When we get such e-mail - we will change 2FA option for secure mail option. And you will be able to login.

If you didn't, you should do so. That may fasten your request.
755  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC : DEPOSIT ISSUE (PENDING FOR 4 MONTHS) on: May 20, 2018, 03:04:05 PM
Just got another reply from them today. Seems like same old story. Never ending wait for me.

Dear Trader,

Thank you for following up.

Manual crediting takes some time. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell exact date when the deposit will be credited to your account.

However, you may be sure that your request is being processed and will not be forgotten. We are doing our best to speed up the process.

We appreciate your patience.

You will be notified by us once the funds are on your account.

Regards,
Martina Castellon
HitBTC Support Team
That feeling when you waited for a long time (4 months in your case) and you get a reply that crediting takes some time.  Undecided That's really disappointing and annoying. What a service.

I know they can see the date in your ticket, but still remind them that it's been 4 months already.
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Complaints to the managers of the Shivom project!!! on: May 19, 2018, 08:42:06 PM
If you are the only one having this problem, then maybe the quality of the photo you sent was not really good. Make sure that all the details in the ID are readable in the photo. Why not try again?

There's no search or sort feature? It would take so much time to browse all the pages to see the products. I'm using mobile, not sure if it is the same on PC.
759  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Bounty Cheater] Please check and let me know what you think on: May 18, 2018, 04:57:07 PM
Most likely, nevergone162 is the one who uses those addresses to join the bounty campaigns. What do you think?
I've just read that other topic and I actually wanted to point at nevergone162.
That means you figured it out too, right?

Quote
PS. Sorry if you find it confusing or unorganized
Not at all although I would never take ethereum transaction as a proof.
Tbh, if it's 2 accounts who had a transaction, I'll not consider it as a proof right away either. However, this case is totally different. The addresses were used in the same bounties, registered with different Bitcointalk / telegram names all the time, then the tokens received will be sent to the addresses that belongs to only one user. Lots of Bitcointalk members could be mistakenly accused of cheating and will not be paid on bounties because of this.

I wonder what actions bounty managers do against such behavior, do they forbid user to join bounties or do they ban these twitter/facebook accounts too.
needmoney did not take any action. I think proof of authentication post would help. It would take a lot of the manager's time, effort and patience, but will avoid such cases. I saw that yahoo implemented it in the current bounty campaign he managed.
760  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC : DEPOSIT ISSUE (PENDING FOR 4 MONTHS) on: May 18, 2018, 02:16:37 PM
The deposit was received, but not showing in your account balance so the problem is within the site. Your ticket is still open, right? Since they have replied that it will be credited as soon as possible, I think it's reasonable to remind them again because you waited long enough and still nothing.

The wallet is okay, no pending deposits and withdrawals as I've checked in the System Health page

Yeah they only responded only after i submitted a second ticket. Been sending them reminders yet they are not doing anything. Any idea how to inform them to act on the ticket?
Try tweeting to them @hitbtc, they are replying there. Mention that you have waited this long plus the ticket number for them to check and get back to you soon.
