2020 is still 5 years away.. If you look 5 years back, to 2010 and just a tiny amount of transactions and look at it now on avg of hundreds of thousands transactions per day..
I think Satoshi is proud of where we are right now. And expecting anything but the same fold in the next few years is an undevaluating bitcoin.

Just ignore kwukduck he is a permabear. If you followed his advice you would have missed out on this leg up. I'm not a permabear. I'm a realist. I recognize obstacles and flaws in the current protocol and ecosystem. As long as those issues are not addressed there is not a lot of room for bitcoin to break the long going trend. |

Probably because we haven't seen a huge pump to at least $315, just like we did when the Coinbase was announced! Very short sighted of them indeed... This exchange will be flying miles above the others in a matter of months. The reason will be that it actually is regulated and people will be able to trust them with larger amounts of money. You're forgetting that one of the main reasons people wanted bit coin is because they don't want regulation. Now that that's out of the window for a possibility, nobody is really interested anymore so there will not be larger amounts of money. I expect the exchange to file for bankruptcy within 6 months. |

It already has failed for many reasons.
The protocol doesn't even scale anywhere near the adoption level that would be required to get to 10k usd

everytime we come close to $250 the price goes down again. it's currently not the right time i guess. but as soon as we break through the $250 on bitstamp and bitfinex we'll advance further.
Don't worry the entire market is fake anyway but within a few hours there will be a massive 'dump' again and we'll be back at 240 or lower. |

Everyone with half a brain knows the whole btc economy is fake. The real volume is maybe a few hundred btc per day being traded globally. If that's not failing I don't know what is.

If you only have a miniscule amount of btc, then you can lol. For some people, $10 drop per coin equates to LARGE PAIN. Not a good idea to hold bitcoin if a $10 value change is painful... btc is absolute torture in that case. |

Well we knew right from the start that government and banks would crack down on bit coin to get rid of it once and for all. It seems it's happening rather fast now.
Price is also extremely bearish with a 4 week expectation of a whopping -40%.
Panic and fear is growing so fast. It makes me sad but these are the end times of an are maxing project that we all enjoyed for the past few years.

Exactly one of the problems of bit coin. It's a pain in the * to get something real for it because regular people that don't have relationships with virtual money realize it's worthless in real life. |
