I've created a FreeBSD port: fetch -o /tmp/catcoin.shar http://www.unibia.com/unibianet/sites/default/files/catcoin.shar_.txt cd /usr/ports/net-p2p/ sh /tmp/catcoin.shar cd catcoin make install
Full Step by Step Instructions to install on FreeBSD: http://www.unibia.com/unibianet/freebsd/install-catcoin-freebsdIf it gets popular enough I'll submit it for inclusion in the official FreeBSD ports collection since Dogecoin is already there. Send thanks to: 9fbXtvCPANTBEkgsNqDZabZc8HbijbQueQ

Found 17 blocks in the last 8 hours, so it seems to be working. Problem is the difficulty is so high and not enough hash power.
It will probably take a week before the difficulty readjusts.

Build was successful. A public node is now available at:
63.247.147.164:6333
It might be down later while I move to a production server. In the mean time If anyone has a copy of the block chain feel free to connect.
I cannot seem to connect Strange. Try with this IP on an alternate port: 63.247.147.163:6334

I think part of the problem is that the default port conflicts with Bytecoin. Anyway, if I can get this to build on my FreeBSD system, I'll put up a public node running.

Upgrading to 0.8.6 does not fix this problem.

You do realize nobody will buy these at this price, right? Your only hope is if someone wants one badly enough as a novelty item. They will never, ever make an ROI at that price. Come just three weeks from now, they won't even make a dime a day.
With that said, I will offer you 0.06 BTC for one or 0.1 for two. I'll even pay the shipping (USPS Medium Flat-rate Box).

I don't understand the value of the mining contracts on eBay. For example there is one that sells for $10 for 1 hour at 120GH/s. I would only earn $2.66 per hour mining bitcoins at 120GH/s with the current difficulty.
Why someone would buy this when they would loose money on it?

For a moment I got really happy: But it looks like it was some type of error.

Zetacoin will soon be in the FreeBSD ports collection along side bitcoin. I've created and submitted a port: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=184369If accepted, this should make installing zetacoin on FreeBSD as easy as running a single command. The only potential problem I see is that "debug.log" file I was asking about earlier. I'm not sure how to resolve that, and I don't think a 'symlink' would be an acceptable solution.
|
|
|
I've noticed a problem with the Zetacoin server. The debug.log file does not get placed in the data directory when one is specified using the "-datadir" command line option. It instead remains in the default location which is ~/.zetacoin
Any way to manually tell the zetacoin server where to put "debug.log"?

Hmm, looks like it really is almost mined up according to this site: http://coinmarketcap.com/156,719,644 coins currently exist.

I got the power supply connected and switched on, but how do I "turn it on"?
