741  Economy / Reputation / Re: What Sort of Signature is "FUCK Royse777"? on: February 22, 2024, 11:03:48 PM
It seems to me that someone is highly against Royse777 and that's why that person might want to see such signature on someone's profile. It's more like trolling to you rather than an offer to rent your signature.

I suggest you to be careful from such offers because it's not worth it to get paid for defaming of someone. Royse is among the most reputed managers of the forum, I don't know why someone would want to have a signature like that.

I suggest you to be careful from such offers and ignore all such offers. By the way, your profile is still not a full member, so someone might be trolling you.
742  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 22, 2024, 10:28:34 PM
No, being a graduate doesn't qualify someone to be rich. It takes a lot of time to complete your graduation and but we can see so many examples of dropouts who are among the world's richest people. When we talk about dropouts we first remember the name of Bill Gates, he's a dropout but he made huge wealth because he followed his passion.

Not only Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Steve Jobs, and many dropouts have reached the highest levels of wealth in their lives. If they can achieve such levels of wealth by being dropouts then why not others? I know that there are some graduates who have made also similar levels of wealth but I don' think that someone's wealth has any relation with their graduation.
743  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: February 22, 2024, 10:07:10 PM
platform users are far from angel investors or private investors, which is a whole different thing all. Angel investors or private investors have contracts (at least when they are serious investors).
Well, I think all platform early adopters deserve to get some share from that airdrop. However, I agree with you that other users can't be compared to Angel investors or private investors as the later ones have spend huge money and they might have placed some good bets.

But the players who joined the site in early days also need to get some share from the airdrop that's what I said. I believe that they'll at least get something, even if they get very less amount from the airdrop, they'll still appreciate that.

744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 22, 2024, 06:03:20 PM
Sometimes casinos are winning more but at other times players are the ones who are wining more money. There are many casinos who got bankrupt because their bankroll was emptied and they can't pay the players while on other side we see many casinos who are getting richer and richer every other day.

Those casinos that are getting richer are making money out of the pockets of the players who lose but the lucky ones are getting paid from the casinos because they are winning. It's a common belief that if someone loses the casinos earn that money while if someone wins then he/she takes away that money from the casinos.

The successful casinos are winning most of the times due to the house edge thing and they are winning quite good amount of money while on the other end there are many casinos that don't win that much and they completely shutdown their business due to losses. However, most of the times casinos are winning money rather than losing it. If casinos start losing then they won't be able to continue the business so it's casinos who are winning more than the players in the end.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 22, 2024, 05:34:20 PM
Also if a gambler starts to think that he wants to win big at once, he will start to take more risks and bet with more money. Due to this, he will lose further. If you think that you can big win, then it rarely happens. Usually, the big wins come with surprises and mostly people are not expecting it.
Yeah, that's the case with most addicts, they think that they will get one win and then they'll leave gambling forever, and in search of that win they risk more and more money but they can't get that win. They chase that win so badly that they forget about other things and spend most of their time in gambling. In the end they won't get the win but get highly addicted to gambling which will cause big troubles in their life.

How is that that gambling will make your life so easy that you win a big jackpot once and then you will never gamble again?  I have seen that even after winning big amounts, the people greed never ends (in some cases people wants to win even more) and therefore they never stop gambling and loses in the end.
It won't and most gamblers don't understand that, our greed never ends even if we win multiple of such jackpots because desire to earn more money never ends and that's a bitter truth. If we look at the billionaires then they have so much money that they can do anything they want with that money but still they are working day and night to increase their net worth even more. Same is the case with those gamblers who win big jackpots, even if they win one big jackpot they will still not give up on gambling and end up losing all that money which they got from that jackpot.

Even if you decide to gamble with very small amount of money in each game, gambling for 8 to 10 hours will eventually make that amount huge and it will be even more sad if the gambler loses most part of that money.
Yeah, it's true even if someone starts a gambling session with low bets then again in 8 to 10 hours those bets will be a huge amount for the day. Some people follow Martingale strategy, where they multiply the bet each time they lose. That will lead to more losing and the gambler finally ends up losing a lot of money. The more money a gambler losses the higher is chance of him getting addicted to gambling.
746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anatsa Android malware downloaded 150,000 times via Google Play on: February 22, 2024, 05:18:16 PM
These apps were created in such a way that Google play store wasn't able to identify, if it was actually malicious but after this issue was reported, the app's have been deleted from play store but still yet thousands of users have installed it earlier.
Google Play Store malware detecting algorithms are outdated and hackers know about that. That's why they have been able to add the malicious code easily without much problems. I think Google should improve their algorithms so in future all such applications with malware should be detected during the submission time. That way users can be safe from all such malware, in fact it's better to download only applications of the reputed vendors.

748  Other / Meta / Re: Mining stocks subforum? on: February 22, 2024, 05:52:02 AM
I guess speculation board would be a good board for such topics. Since it's related to stocks price and speculation and thus I believe it should be there.  At mining speculation I don't see any topics of such nature so I guess at that board people aren't interested in such topics so I believe that speculation board should be much suitable for such topics.
749  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [EXTENSION] bitcoindata extension for bitcointalk on: February 22, 2024, 04:31:00 AM
What a great extension you have made Bitmover. It's really an awesome one. It's nice to see your first extension and I hope from now on you'll continue making such extensions for Bitcointalk. I'll install the extension and then edit this post to include an example of it that how it looks on my side.
750  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Branches of Economics is there? on: February 22, 2024, 12:00:09 AM
Which economists or traders do you guys follow on youtube for daily market analysis and what type economics do they follow and which type of economics best predict future economics?
I personally don't follow anyone economists on YouTube but yeah, I do follow some traders who have inspired me a lot and I just like their content. Some people follow Andrew Tate and watch all his courses because they consider that guy a good trader but I personally don't really follow him. I follow some good local traders and a few channels that interview traders and trust me, I learned a lot from those interviews as a trader.

Finally which branch of economics did Satoshi Nakamoto follow himself?

For that you'll have to find a time machine so you can visit back the 2009 and 2010 and ask Satoshi directly that question. Jokes aside, in real no one really knows that which branch of economics Satoshi was following. His main focus behind creation of Bitcoin was to create a type of currency that would work digitally and should not be controlled by any government or centralized authority. So he might be following the economics of freedom, freedom from the centralized system.
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 21, 2024, 11:16:51 PM
It's strange to hear that he was placing bets on sportsbook. He even mentioned that he was winning on sportsbook and he wasn't someone who would lose but he started thinking about about a huge win and that's the main reason he got addicted to it.

Most gamblers think like that because their hope is to have a single huge win and no longer they'll have to gamble again. Same happened with this guy instead of winning that big bet he started losing more and more in hope of having that huge win.

The guy was a real addict that he was spending more than 8 hours of day on placing bets. A true addict but now he's in recovery which is a good thing, and I believe that his video can be very helpful for those people who are facing troubles due to gambling addiction.
752  Other / Meta / Re: Italian main topic on bitcoin - why we have so much OFF TOPIC? on: February 21, 2024, 09:51:46 PM
@SamReomo
they don't want to post anymore. if you check this thread each 20 posts maybe someone will post something on bitcoin but immediately there are others ready to talk about something not related to bitcoin.
Yeah, that's the main issue, if they don't want to post then you can't do anything alone. If majority of members are speaking about off-topics in that thread then they won't listen to anyone. I guess only good solution to stop them is by locking that thread. Once the thread gets locked then they won't be able to continue their off topic conversation on that thread.
753  Other / Meta / Re: Italian main topic on bitcoin - why we have so much OFF TOPIC? on: February 21, 2024, 09:25:32 PM
What we can do to have the main thread on topic?
I would send private message to a few good posters of that board and tell them to talk related to Bitcoin on that main thread. I would try my best to approach each member via a private message and tell all of them to somehow understand that the topic was about Bitcoin and posting off-topic things and irrelevant stuff would destroy the main purpose of that thread.

What we can do to talk about bitcoin in a topic related bitcoin in a forum related bitcoin?

One possible scenario is to reply to all those off-topic members and share your opinion about Bitcoin and try to add Bitcoin in each of your post in that thread. A few of them when get such mentions will try to at least add Bitcoin in their posts as well, and then you should continue with that approach, and whenever you see someone saying something irrelevant and off-topic try to mention that person and move his/her attention towards Bitcoin. That way most posters at that thread will understand that the thread was created with Bitcoin theme and should only get posts about Bitcoin.
754  Economy / Economics / Re: The influence of cryptocurrencies in economy on: February 21, 2024, 08:05:39 PM
It's true that due to decentralized nature of Bitcoin no one can control its growth. It's the investors who invest fiat into Bitcoin that helps Bitcoin to grow in value.

All traditional fiat currencies are controlled by the centralized system but Bitcoin is free from that centralized system and anyone can use it without any restrictions.

Yes, I highly agree that many people use Bitcoin from all over the world. Some people purchase Bitcoin and hold it for years so they can earn huge profits when its value grows.

There are investors who even think that Bitcoin can reach $1M in near future and they're so firm in their belief that they have been holding their Bitcoin for many years.

Surely, it's due to Bitcoin that other crypto-currencies are also able to get some share of users.
755  Other / Meta / Re: my collection of Bitcointalk factiods. on: February 21, 2024, 07:58:40 PM
My Question or Input:
Does this also imply to offline backup. Whereby I am needed to always go check by backup seed phrase?
It simply means that you should always have backup of your wallet seed phrase and private keys. In fact I believe it meant more as multiple backups so if someone loses one of those backups then he/she may not lose access to wallet because he/she has other backups.

FACTOID THREE:
Remember that Bitcoin is still beta software. Don't put all of your money into BTC!
My Question or Input:
I know that BTC is still in the beta software. I also know that it is not good to put all your money in BTC. But, will there ever be an upgrade from the beta version of BTC and when will this happen?
I think that quote was just a warning because putting all of your money into BTC isn't suggested that's why you should be careful. No, I believe that Bitcoin will always be a beta version that won't change anytime.

FACTOID FOUR:
"I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume." -- Satoshi
My Question or Input:
It is not upto 20 years yet but what Satoshi said is already happening. What exactly did Satoshi say? He made a statement of two faces. If there is large transaction volume, Satoshi is right, if no volume, he is also right  Grin
Satoshi might have said that because he wasn't sure about the future of Bitcoin, he wasn't sure that one day Bitcoin will have a huge community. But, he somehow thought that there's chance that one day Bitcoin could have a huge community and that day it will have huge volume.

FACTOID TEN:
If you want to be a moderator, report many posts with accuracy. You will be noticed.
My Question or Input:
Theymos, is this the only criterion for being a moderator? I'll start my reporting job tomorrow  Cool
That's a straight statement, the more posts you reports and if your reports have high accuracy then you will get a chance to be part of moderator team. I believe everyone should report the posts which deserve to get reported, which are created to cause spamming or they somehow break other rules of the forum.

FACTOID FOURTEEN :
"Your bitcoin is secured in a way that is physically impossible for others to access, no matter for what reason, no matter how good the excuse, no matter a majority of miners, no matter what." -- Greg Maxwell
My Question or Input:
What does Gmaxwell mean by "physically impossible for others to access..." But bitcoin is not a physical currency or asset?
Yes, it's true your Bitcoin is secured in soft form so no one can access it physically. But, surely if they get your seed phrase and private keys then no one can stop them from transferring your Bitcoin. Physically impossible means that even if a thief enters your house and steals cash, gold, and others things they still he won't be able to steal your Bitcoin.

FACTOID TWENTY :
20. In order to achieve higher forum ranks, you need both activity points and merit points.
My Question or Input:
Now that I have a higher activity points to go to senior member but my merit points are lower, what should I do?
Make more good quality posts, try to help others with the information you have, you'll see your merits growing in number overtime. You should give more priority to quality of posts than quantity and then you'll see merits coming to you.
756  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 21, 2024, 07:35:44 PM
I think you have given best suggestion to your friend. It's not worthy to spend time on gambling when you're on drugs in fact having drugs in itself is the worst thing that anyone does. Another thing that you suggested your friend that don't spend time on gambling in the start of the day, and that's true when we begin the day, and in start of it we spend time on gambling activities and even a single loss could change our emotions from happy to sad.

There are some gamblers who do drugs and on drugs when they place bets the outcome can be huge losses because when someone is on drugs then that person doesn't care even if he losses a game and thus that person tries to place more bets in order to recover the money which he lost and also to have wins in the end. But, most of the time that person ends up losing more money instead of winning. I think you should convince your friend to give up on drugs or at least don't place bets when he's on drugs.
757  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lost and loss on: February 21, 2024, 03:12:46 AM
How is it  that possible that someone can lost in Trading when he or she is making huge profit?
When someone is making money from trader then you can't say that person lose money in it. Are you trying to say that someone who lose trades how can that person still make huge profits? If that's the case then it's simple, someone who losses a few trades and wins a few good amount trades can still be profitable as a trader. It depends on the win rate, some traders maintain big win rate at 70% or even more than that.

Those traders also lose some trades but in most trades they win instead of losing. Even the best trader lose some trades and that's why they place stop-loss to reduce the losing amount to minimum. While such traders can also set some good take profit points to earn more profit from their trades.

Let's say someone has bough Bitcoin at $52k, now he/she sets stop loss just 1% below the buying position while he/she set take profit at 2%, now even if he/she lose this trade and win the next one he/she is still going to be profitable even after losing the first trade or many such trades.

760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who buys Bitcoin at $500k on: February 20, 2024, 07:39:26 PM
My question is who buys Bitcoin at that price..?
Trust me there will be 100's of thousands of people who would but Bitcoin even if it reach $500k. Man, that $500k isn't a big value for Bitcoin because most people who currently have Bitcoin in their possession are hoping to hold it until it reaches $1M which's double of that $500k.

Bitcoin is not going to stop at $500k or at $1M, in fact some people expect that within 40 years Bitcoin might reach or cross $5M a coin. If that happens then those people who may not have bought Bitcoin at $500k would regret just like the ones who aren't buying it now.
