When will KMD coins be on market ?
The coins will be distributed on January 31st.

I am trying to send "superBTCD" from https://wallet.mynxt.info I used the BTCD SWAP address and I got an error message. Incorrect "recipient" Any input will be appreciated. Thanks, You could download SuperNET Lite wallet (version 3.0) and use it. http://www.supernet.org/download.phpIf voting was done after exchange listing, it could have brought more diversed voters in coin holders. Anyway I think signature participants will not chance to vote as distribution is after 31st
We want to get stable notary nodes up & running before we distribute the KMD coins, thus we have elections and after that the KMD distribution.

Stuff is happening on our Slack! Here I have picked some parts of the discussion we had todayaudowe created this picture to explain the whole thing, as people are confused about SuperNET, Komodo, and Iguana: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FtvlCcoE.png&t=663&c=ACItw_LL8mdm8A) - SuperNET is the organization behind the technology - SuperNET platform is the low level platform we are developing - SuperNET framework refers to the development layer which is built on top of the platform - Iguana is the main application we are working on, and it will initially contain - - multiwallet and EasyDEX. - Komodo is the infrastructure coin the SuperNET platform uses - SuperNET technology refers to everything our organization is developing Iguana and Komodo can be both thought to be a Platform and a Framework. To simplify the terminology we are going to call the platform part 'SuperNET Platform' and the programming part 'SuperNET Framework' grewalsatinderIn layman’s terms consider Iguana a programmable layer on top of a infrastructure coin, Komodo. In technical terms, consider Iguana and Komodo both Platform and a Framework. Compare it with .NET framework It’ll have like 80%-90% of crypto currency related code which developers can user and make further 10%-20% of their own innovative code base to make new sort of application You can also compare Iguana + Komodo TWO kernels of and Operating System, if speaking in more nerd terms It’s like the BASE of the OS, on top of which you can make any kind of Applications. InstantDEX is proxyless token trading, where Ardor and NXT like systems are Proxy tokens trading. jl777Ardor uses intermediate tokens and everything uses ardor as the master chain with komodo everything is its own chain and is not subject to arbitrary changes in the master chain. there is no bottleneck chain that all other chains must rely on also pax is the first fully decentralized fiat equivalents, without any need for a trusted party audoread this post and the links, there are tons of info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1605144.msg17489021#msg17489021the blog post by jl777 showcases how this has definitely not been a simple fork https://komodoplatform.com/development-history-from-a-testnet-to-mainnet/jl777 ( listing things built on top of Zcash fork) dPoW, fully decentralized fiat equivalents with pax, command line spawnable assetchains, DEX, lite node support for 44 currencies, zero footprint 5% APR, round robin mining, probably more. If this doesnt seem like anything, then please let me know what you consider something audoWe have created 32 Zcash forks that are pegged to local currencies. I think there's no other coin that would both be stable and anonymous. To get the "Zcash" EUR coin you will have to get KMD first, and the KMD is locked inside PAX. If PAX becomes a success KMD will have more demand and less supply. I think that should make the KMD price go higher

33,3% of BTCD supply has been swapped through ICO website so far.
Does this mean that KMD will be worth 33% of BTCD? No, not really. Without any bonuses the KMD price was 0.00012909 BTC/KMD There are about 100 000 000 KMD at launch, which means the ICO investors valued Komodo project to be worth ~12,900 BTC (or that would be the market cap with that price) That is of course speculation, and we cannot know where the market sets the price until there is a liquid KMD market. There's one year to do the swap, and I don't see how the swap percentage would affect the price.

How to VoteSomeone requested a guide about how to vote, so here it is! Where to navigateWhen the elections begin on the first election day we will activate the 'VOTING' tab on our ICO site. After that everyone can start to vote. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FLW2G1CI.png&t=663&c=7H2BwYG8huXZvA) 1) login to our ICO site with your username and password 2) click 'VOTING' 3) read instructions and think carefully who to vote ( You cannot change your vote!) Instruction and the rulesHelp us to elect the best notary nodes, so that Komodo gets a stable and decentralized network. The notary nodes are responsible for recording Komodo blockchain information to bitcoin blockchain. In other words, they give us the Bitcoin protection. Without them we would lose the additional security, and the mining would be done by normal miners. We divided the world into four geopolitical regions. Each region can have a maximum of 16 notary nodes. We guarantee funding for the top 32 notary nodes, but there could be more. You will vote with your KMDs, so the more coins you got, the more voting power you have. Votes cannot be splitted, so you must select one candidate per region and vote for him. Choose wisely! You cannot change your vote afterwards. For more information please read our election guide. VotingAfter you have decided who to vote for you simply select the candidate from the region. You can only select one candidate per region, and in total thus vote four times. 1) Select who to vote for (you can only select one per region) 2) Confirm that you understand what you are doing by checking "All votes are final and can't be changed. Are you sure you want to submit your vote" 3) Click 'Submit Vote' ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FXPLSFIN.png&t=663&c=BC9TbO7kQwxfUg) You can make the vote one by one, and after each vote the region you voted in will disappear. After you have voted you will see the candidate you voted for. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F4Ljw3Kl.png&t=663&c=q2VhIwZ4FMocdw)

I want to ask if this wallet release is now save for use, because I was told their was a bug in the one available last year.
We have not released a wallet yet, there was no wallet available for the public last year. At least the Iguana multiwallet has made some alpha releases, and some EasyDEX GUI installers have been shared on our Slack. But yes, no official release yet that would be meant for real use.

Yes, the wallets have been available for use for some time now, but they have been in an alpha/beta stage and the installation process is hard. Once we make the official release with the easy installer it will be safe to use. The point is that the Komodo investors could move/use their money after the KMD is distributed. It is always the safes option to store the coins under your own control.

Iguana GUI Update #19I'm glad to announce that we are about to release another version of the GUI, yet still beta.
It took us more than two months to bring in new changes and features together, so now users will have an almost completed Iguana wallet. Why almost? Because the main features already work in the both modes (Iguana and coind) without detectable flaws and to make it complete we need to cover UX issues, such progress bars, additional confirmation or negative cases messages, and polish the flow of acquiring users from nonIguana wallets to Iguana (point-of-sales).
I have a big personal wish to start using Iguana as a multi-coin wallet for my crypto coins, as recently I have lost a sum using a competitive app because of a bug or fraudulent transaction. Let's consider it a cost of competitive market analysis), but that's not a great deal, as I gain much more.
So in this update, I will not disclose all the details of the release, as we are just a few bugs away to merge to the main repo and all information will be published in release notes by the mid of the next week. Now keep patient and read the brief summary for the latest period of progress since the last release.
1. UX/UI - We upgraded create/login a wallet screens, gave them more neatness, user-friendliness and sexiness. - Made Iguana responsible for mobile, tablet, and full desktop screens sizes. - Added new features with some awesome UX solution, that cuts users efforts to one or two clicks.
2. Features - As Full Nodes require from users some pre-setting tweaks, we added simple onboarding\getting started guide, which will be improved to prevent all possible risks of users refusals. - Added Terms of Use disclaimer. Despite Iguana is still in beta, from now on we are bearing the responsibility of users financial risks. - Implemented unique fee settings feature with dynamic values. - Injected interactive animations for processing and updates, though many cooler GUI processing and UX animations are in the pipeline.
3. Extra - More coins to be supported. - More fiats as a reference currency. - More negative use cases covered. - Applied unit tests and performed partially automated tests, thus detected bugs and closed them. - Implement Gulp for build automation for Angular. - Reviewed and closed security issues.
4. Applications - There are also few bugs left to have Windows, Mac and Linux applications released. If the guys kill the bugs by the time we close the final issues, the release will - contain desktop applications. - Chrome app is published for inner testing and will not be released this time, as we need to make 100% sure all security issues related to Chrome sensitiveness are covered.
5. Next - Tasks for 0.3 are already in design and coding phases. - The specification is being updated with recent changes since the last time of creation in Autumn. - The roadmap is being designed along with my requirements gathering for already stated features. Doing it parallels. - EasyDex integration into Iguana platform has started and will be at full speed once we have desktop application stable.
Confused about the GUIs?We have two separate GUI projects: 1) Iguana multiwallet GUI, 2) EasyDEX GUI Together we refer to them as Iguana desktop app, or simply Iguana. The Iguana desktop app is the easy installer built with Electron. It still have few bugs so we haven't published it publicly. From the desktop app you can launch both the multiwallet and EasyDEX. Inside EasyDEX you can access full native Komodo wallet where you can do private transactions too. The multiwallet supports only transparent transactions. The future plan is to integrate these two GUI projects together, but for now they are somewhat separate things. We are very much looking forward to that day when we can share the easy GUI installers with you guys! Shouldn't take too long! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

K just double checking this in order to get REVS I either need to move BTCD to my private wallet or do the swap on the ico site before the snapshot date (when) but I can swap anytime after the snapshot for one year I just wont receive REVS
Exactly. And we recommend to do the swap today if you want to get REVS, as there is no exact time for the snapshot. It will happen tomorrow at some point. Thanks, just to get the timing right, how long before btcd stakes can be spent? I want to try and stake up to the last hour, but don't want to be caught with unspendable coins that can't be sent. Is it 8 hours? If so can stop staking 8.1 hours fromdeadline and leave some time to send btcd to komodo website. You don't gain anything by staking as the BTCD swap rate is decreasing every day to account for the 5 % staking reward. So if you stake BTCD for 6 months and swap you would still receive the same amount as if you swapped today. Hi Guys, When the voting starts, could you list all the steps so that people don't have to ask too many questions. The voting procedure should be very simple. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The process is very straight forward, but sure we can post some explanation about it.

Is it still possible to get REV if I move my coins off the exchange?
If you keep your coin in an exchange you won't get REVS. You must move them either to a local BTCD wallet or to our ICO site (recommended option). I hope the 31.1 date for KMD distribution is sacrosanct, any update on exchanges and I will like to know more on the REV snapshot
Snapshot happens 15.1.2017, there's no exact time for it though as it is some specific block we will announce later. You should move the funds now if you want to get REVS. There are two options: - ICO site - local wallet If you have BTCD in: - a cenralized exchange - NXT blockchain as SuperBTCD you must move them out now! I participated in the KMD ICO and my tokens is still on the ICO webpage. I will like more light shed on the REVs thing, Is it another token, if yes, what do I need to do get it. The KMD tokens are there as they have not been distributed yet. The distribution date is January 31st. REVS is a separate thing, to get it you need to own BTCD which you either send to your local wallet or to our ICO site. Here's the info: A complete SWAP + snapshot explanationI'll try to clear out all the uncertainty & misunderstandings
We try to swap all BTCD there exist throughout 1 full year. If someone has BTCD it can be swapped, no matter when it is bought. You could buy BTCD 6 months from now and swap it for KMD.
BTCD Snapshot to get REVS
- The snapshot is not related to BTCD swap. - The snapshot is to get an additional asset called REVS. - The privatekeys are used to redeem the asset. - The snapshot has not happened yet! - to participate the BTCD can be stored either in a BTCD address under your control, or in our ICO site
BTCD Swap to get KMD
- has nothing to do with the snapshot - is done through the ICO site - lasts 1 full year - swapped BTCD ends up to our account, where it is publicly visible (nothing will happen to the swapped BTCD) - hopefully every single BTCD coin will get swapped during the year
The conclusion
If you buy BTCD it can be swapped at any time. To also receive the REVS asset you need to have a privatekey that contained BTCD during the snapshot. BTCD swap and snapshot are two separate things.
During the year BTCD can be swapped for KMD with the exchange rate we announced: 1 BTCD = 50.448 KMD (However the exchange rate decreases slightly throughout the year because BTCD staking expands the supply)

Great post from jl777, make sure to read it Development History: From a Testnet to MainnetSome of you have been a very short while with us, but the development of this overall platform goes back several years. Without that hard groundwork we could never have developed the KMD so quickly. I guess many have not yet fully realized how close we are (me included). The wait is almost over ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Everything is pretty much ready. The few last few GUI pieces need to be connected, and some bugs fixed, and then we will release the easy GUI installers. After the initial GUI release there is more to come of course. We need to develop DEX GUI, assetchains GUI, and more. Aside from the decentralized exchange we have other big app in the pipeline, and that is decentralized poker (Pangea). We aimed for the stars, and at this point it looks we will at least land on the moon. If you missed these, be sure to also check them out: A complete update about Iguana app and DEXGUI Wallet Progress Update! Thanks for the update! Any news on when Komodo will be tradeable on an exchange? Nothing is sure until they publicly announce it. We are trying to get the GUI officially published, which should help the matter.

GUI Wallet Progress Update!- Updated EasyDEX-GUI Login screen. It checks if there’s already a coin running or not, and shows login fields accordingly. User will have to have a coin running to see login fields or to create a new wallet. - Add coin dialog also updated with little info about different modes it allows to add. - Next I’ll add to select *Native Mode* for Komodo, Assetchains, PAX Fiat chains and Geckochains under Add coin dialog. @ca333 is still working on Igauna Desktop bug that’s only specific to Windows and OS X machines. As per last conversations he’s very close to kill that bug. Hope to get some update on working Iguana Desktop app for OS X and Windows soon. There’s another little task which I was trying to do to make Native mode work. Komodo needs to have Zcash Parameter files downloaded prior to starting komodo daemon. I wanted to show this process showing in front end but so far it wasn’t doing everything I was aiming for, and it was causing delay in finishing up the Native mode GUI related changes. So, I moved on to the GUI changes and asked @ca333 ‘s help on this part. In any case if this part is not done in Iguana Desktop and GUI, it’ll still be possible for users to just download the files with single command… hopefully. But, we’ll try our best to make it a seamless experience and have it coded in Desktop itself. To my the Native mode GUI is more important task to get enabled than this little in between task, so I just moved on to what I could make work. Will update soon once I have the GUI coded to add Native mode Komodo using _Shepherd API_ which is already allowing it to do through API calls. @KomodoPlatform I've sent some BTCD to KMD address by mistake. How can I send it to BTCD Swap address? ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) FAQ of the last few daysI accidentally sent my BTCD to my KMD address instead of the swap . I have the seed for my KMD address . How do I recover my BTCD ?
A: importprivkey into BTCD wallet using the KMD wif the iguana GUI will be able to convert the ICO passphrase you used into a KMD wif, which can then be imported into both komodod and BitcoinDarkd so as long as you have the passphrase, your funds are safe Other questions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1605144.msg17456599#msg17456599 So you must wait for Iguana GUI release.

@KomodoPlatform
How to swap the mgwBTCD at Nxt asset platform? Thanks.
1. download SuperNET lite client http://www.supernet.org/download.php (SuperNET Lite 3.0) 2. use it to send your superBTCD to the ICO site (with the client you can send BTCD to a NXT address or a regular BTCD address) btw, mgwBTCD is old, nowadays it is called SuperBTCD. If you still have mgwBTCD I think it can be swapped somehow. If you have let me know and I'll find out. btw2, this is the working technology build on top of Nxt that SuperNET finished. (just a side note ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) )
