741  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: September 27, 2018, 09:34:09 PM
That's true, life must go on even though sometimes you feel quitting because of economic crisis that the whole world almost suffering right now which also affect the market value of bitcoin. But dont worry bitcoin is very volatile so it doesnt mean that if you see hard fork it will go all the way. Their is still a boiling point that bitcoin will bounce back again. Patience is virtue.
That is something that you should never do, never quit, if you keep trying there is a big chance that you are not going to get to your goals but there is still a small chance that you will do it, but if you quit there is a 100% chance that you are never going to achieve your goals, so whatever your goals are in this market you need to keep preparing yourself so whenever the opportunity shows up to your door you are finally able to take advantage of it.
742  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: September 27, 2018, 08:41:28 PM
Crypto just is a online currency so it can't solve all socio economic problems. But some sector will grow by crypto for peoples. There are many socioeconomic problems problems in a country. These problem are not solve by crypto. But cryptos can some change economy in a country, I agree this.
What cryptocurrencies can do is to help people to avoid losing money through inflation caused by governments printing too much currency, while this may not seem like much, a person that holds cryptocurrencies instead of fiat could save as much as 3% to 10% per year, and if you compound this for several years you can obtain a lot of money, so cryptocurrencies are going to help the general population to become richer, and this will help people to improve their economic future.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 btc to 25 btc till' end of year on: September 27, 2018, 08:08:34 PM
by the looks of it, it is difficult to multiply your 1 btc to 25x till the end of 2018. we are already in 4th quarter and the market is in bear one. perhaps yes if you buy some coins at ICO, for 1 btc , that you believe it has the possibiliyty to moon well then. but that has no assurance too.
But doing that is extremely risky and it's not something that is recommended to do because as you know the market is not really giving a lot of profits, at the moment the best thing that you can do is to keep holding your bitcoins and do not buy any altcoin until there is a very clear sign that we're going to see a reversal of the situation in the market, I know that a lot of people do not like this but if the market is not cooperating then you cannot make money.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can the global crisis affect crypto? on: September 27, 2018, 05:08:18 PM
People can go two ways, or begin to look for a safe haven in the cryptocurrency or Vice versa will get money from here in order to open more secure positions.
When such a global crisis happens people try to find any way to protect themselves, many are going to try to get some precious metals, and while that makes sense we know that governments can make the possession of precious metals illegal, that means that if you are caught holding precious metals you could go to jail or you could lose your money as well, in the case of cryptocurrencies it is impossible to confiscate them and it is a lot more difficult to detect that you have them.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake ico and bounty on: September 27, 2018, 04:29:02 PM
there is no alternative tools by help of this you can detect fake ico and bounty. you have to careful when you are going to choose any ico. try to get know about the ico properly then you will understand this ico fake or not.
Many people do not take the time to make a research about the project in which they want to invest in, they are desperate to try to invest in a project as soon as possible so they can get some kind of bonus when they do, but I have always wondered what it is the point of getting a bonus of a coin that is not worth anything, it is way better to just wait until you finalize your analysis about the coin and if that means losing some of the bonuses then that is something that you will have to live with.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you use diversification? on: September 26, 2018, 08:37:07 PM
For example, you have some altcoin (in my case it's Metaverse ETP) and you expect it to grow. But in a weak market, this altcoin behaves like bull and you have the opportunity now to sell it and buy an asset that looks weak in the market (for example Qash, Tierion, Nem, Odyssey or Republic Protocol) in order to get the greatest possible profit. Or leave a strong asset and wait for its further growth. What do you think about this?
If the coin in which you are invested is still going up and it's not showing any signs that is going to go down anytime soon then it's your responsibility to yourself to remain invested in that coin until it gives clear signs that the bull market is over, I say this because a lot of people try to find many winners at the same time and close their positions short when they could have held their coins until the trend changed, and at least to me that is a mistake.
747  Economy / Economics / Re: What manipulators want on: September 26, 2018, 06:42:41 PM
They want to control the price movement of each coin so that they can make profit in it. They're not fair because they can dump and pump the price they want. That is the reason why SEC don't want to approve BtC because of the manipulation.
I really do not think that there are as many manipulators as people think, there are speculators, but there are not a lot of people that have the coins to move the market as they please, what the speculators are looking for is just to make profits and they do this in several ways, one way is just to have insider information about the developments of different coins or about what the exchanges are going to do with the policies that they are going to implement, that helps them make a lot of money without having to manipulate the market.
748  Economy / Economics / Re: Asians are the most bitcoin holders in the world. on: September 26, 2018, 04:50:24 PM
A possibility of why this is true or at least why some people may have the impression of this to be true is because as we know the Chinese government puts very strict controls on their citizens about the money that they can move through the banking system, and as we know people have a tendency to look for the most personal freedom that they can and bitcoin allows them exactly that, so they have found in bitcoin a way to invest their money and move it freely around the world.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crime Effect of Gambling - Your thoughts! on: September 26, 2018, 04:23:24 PM
The OP seems to imply that somehow gambling increases illegal activities and gives the example of prostitution and the consumption of drugs, but what gambling does at best is to attract those kind of people because they know that the people inside the casino have money to spare, but gambling in itself does not increase those activities, those activities will happen anyway, however there are some crimes that could go up due to the influence of gambling, for example those that are addicted to gambling will probably steal money to try to feed their addiction.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no need to panic!!!!! on: September 26, 2018, 03:56:44 PM
I think developers have to start working on mass adoption of their coins, once they have done that, everything will be much easier. Now the problem is that maybe a 10% know or heard about bitcoin at least once, but probably less than 1% is active in the crypto community learning about it and maybe investing in some cryptocurrency.
That is not a problem that the developers can solve, what are they going to do? Are they going to try to make people adopt cryptocurrencies by force? There is nothing to do, if people want to adopt cryptocurrencies then they will do, and if they do not want to then they won't, we have seen that people that are in difficult circumstances because the governments of their countries have imposed laws and regulations that destroyed the economy have adopted bitcoin out of necessity.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Government does not like crypto? on: September 25, 2018, 08:29:17 PM
the government does not like crypto, because Crypto cannot be tracked who the users and the transactions with whom, therefore the government is worried that crypto can be used for crimes, such as corruption and terrorist financing.
That is not really the reason, if they were worried about such a thing then there will be very strict conditions about transacting fiat and that is not the case, what they are worried is about to lose control over the population, control that has take them centuries to have and then suddenly out of nowhere satoshi nakamoto created a way to avoid that and they are not really happy with this, that is why they are doing their utmost effort to try to avoid people to adopt cryptocurrencies in the first place.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens? on: September 25, 2018, 07:29:23 PM
This is a very dangerous investment, especially when the market is in a bad state. I remember that at the time of creation of this theme SMT cost about $1 per token, but now its price is about 40 cents. The conclusions are obvious.
It is very important that if you decide to invest in coins that are relatively new and that have not established themselves in the community but you decide that you are still going to invest in them then you need to use a very small amount of money, since you cannot invest a huge amount of your capital because even if you are able to predict the direction of the market, the coin is not going to have the liquidity to allow you to exit that trade without affecting negatively the price.
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch 20K USD end of 2018. What you think ? on: September 25, 2018, 06:52:46 PM
I'd be very very surprised. Going to take a couple of years most likely. Smiley
It is a good thing that you have accepted the fact that the price of bitcoin is not going to recover as fast as many people predict, most of the predictions that I see are very similar to the subject of the thread, many people believe that bitcoin is going to recover at the end of this year and I find that to be very unlikely because there is simply not enough demand for bitcoin to recover that fast, so as you say it is probably going to take a few years for that to happen.
754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run!!! on: September 25, 2018, 04:53:50 PM
We can't stop them if that is their speculations and wants, we just let them think on it and let see what will happen next.
We have seen a huge pump in the market today,  maybe these could be the start of our dream and may satisfied us.  Bitcoin market volume is already in 6bil, maybe this an indication of bull run again.
And after a few days the price is going down again, a small increase in the price of any currency or asset is not an indication that a new bull market is coming, this is just an indication of the volatility of the market and nothing more, but you do not really have to worry about this, eventually the bull market is going to come, what it happens is that it is going to take a lot of time for it to happen and only those that have the patience to wait for the bull market will benefit out of it.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 4 common mistakes made by investors into ICOs on: September 25, 2018, 04:15:01 PM
Probably one of the worst mistakes that people do when investing in icos is to invest without really thinking about what they are doing, they invest in a new project without really understanding what the project is about, and how it's planning to reach its goals, if you really want to make money in this market you need to know exactly why you are investing in your project of choice, if you do not then it is very likely that you're going to lose all your money.
756  Economy / Economics / Re: Centralized or Decentralized for cryptocurrencies? on: September 24, 2018, 08:58:54 PM
We all know, there are 2 types of cryptocurrency
1st: centralized
2nd: decentralized

The difference between them, centralized cryptocurrency is controlled by a government or a company. It has value only in the specific area under company or government boundaries.
Decentralized cryptocurrency has no connection with any state, government

But, the government of some countries are against Bitcoin and some are ready to adopt Bitcoin. So what would effect on Bitcoin if any government approved Bitcoin as a legal tender?
Since bitcoin is a better currency than all of those centralized currencies, it is very likely that a government that decides to adopt bitcoin will not do it for long because they are going to realize that bitcoin eventually begins to supplant its own currency, that is why we see a lot more countries banning cryptocurrencies than adopting them but at the end of the day it doesn't matter even if a country decides to ban cryptocurrencies people are going to use them if they can obtain benefits out of them.
757  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Matters on: September 24, 2018, 07:05:08 PM
I'm always feeling surprised about those double-dealers with millions of dollars on their accounts telling us that money is nothing.
Money is one of the engines for progress - it is something that makes us invent new things which make all others' lives easier, it is the reward for all our efforts.

From the perspective of those people money is not really important, the problems that they have cannot be solved using money, because if they could solve their problems using money then they will not have those problems on the first place, that is why they think that money is not everything because to them it isn't, even if money helps them so the majority of the problems that they could possibly have are resolved before they even have them and that is why they do not realize its importance.
758  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychology of waiting on: September 24, 2018, 05:13:35 PM
There are two angles to waiting. If you are a bag holder and you are waiting for a spike to offload your bag. This kind of waiting can be quite frustrating, you see your portfolio nosediving right in your presence and you are helpless. You are glue to the charts watching for any sign of life. The other waiting is much easier, you have your capital intact, you are just waiting for the best entry. It can be tricky too, it's not easy to tell the bottom and the best time to get in. You will lose out on good profits if you miss the entry. Patience is not an easy virtue but quite essential in crypto space
There is nothing wrong with waiting itself, but you must realize why you are waiting in the first place, there are many that are just waiting for an opportunity to sell their coins even for a loss and obviously those that are waiting with that intent are doing it for the wrong reasons, but if you are waiting because you are watching the markets and you are trying to find the best opportunity to try to make the most money out of your investment then you are doing it for the right reasons.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i trust crypto / digital currencies? on: September 24, 2018, 04:34:19 PM
Only in some of them, the rest are coins in which you should not invest a single dollar and you should not trust, however you need to separate the facts from the lies spread by the media, banks and governments are spreading fake news and are trying to slow down the adoption of cryptocurrencies to the best of their ability and they are doing this because they are realizing that if people begin to use cryptocurrencies instead of their fiat currency the whole economy could come crashing down.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO PEOPLE STILL HAVE CONFIDENCE IN BITCOIN? on: September 24, 2018, 04:10:10 PM
Did something happen to Bitcoin? It seems to me that there is no reason for trouble. The security system of bitcoin was and remains the system of the highest level.
Nothing has happened, bitcoin is still by far the best cryptocurrency that we have, but people are very worried because many of them invested when we where in the middle of the bear market and now they are suffering huge losses, it is not as if I do not understand them, but the fact that they are losing money is their fault and not the fault of bitcoin, so if there is someone or something in which they should have lost confidence was their ability to predict the market and not bitcoin.
