7401  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Blockchain technology for a fair distribution of energy on: April 10, 2019, 11:33:32 AM
Yes i do believe and we already have success stories like PowerLedger located in Australia. Why I think the system is going to work is because with the help of blockchain technology, more turst & transpiracy will be introduced into the system which weren't there before due to the use of 3rd party companies like the distribution operators. But since there won't be any need of a 3rd party system, the energy can now be distributed (traded) peer2peer between individuals, making the system more dencentralized and even more cost efficient as a result leading to a fair distributions of energy.
7402  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2 Merit For Small And Off topic, Brand New First post. on: April 10, 2019, 06:46:24 AM
Wait let me get this straight, you registered on forum today, you already know who LoyceV is and how hard he works for the forum. Already know what the merit system is and that you're likely to be investigate if post received merit on is, off topic or worthless. The meriters "Shafiqul Islam" is not known for visiting the meta baords for she (based on your description of user but can't find gender on profile) to have seen your post and merited it neither is she known to be active in meriting post since she hasn't merited or receive merit from anyone in the last 120 days.

So you expect us to believe the crab you're saying?. This act is now becoming a trend, just like the ICO bounty manager flooding here claiming they have no idea of merits they're recieving when we can all see it's a clear merit abuse.
7403  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz Reputation Thread on: April 10, 2019, 05:04:21 AM
Having been a constant participants of your campaigns and having qualified for anyone i apply to join and looking at other users been accepted too I can say you're doing well when it comes to accepting quality non shitposters in all your campaigns. As a result I notice your campaigns don't always have open slots that's great news as it says a lot about the campaign manager accepting only quality rule abiding users.

Your payment are always on time in all your managed campaigns (haven't seen any complains of deserving members not receiving their earned payouts) and from my timezone that's the first thing I see every morning on payments days Grin and having recieved the following benefits from joining your campaigns and I haven't seen any accusations of you abusing your power as a CM nor abusing your DT privileges, I can boldly say you're doing a great job Hhampuz. +1
7404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving your private key in your email is a lethal move on: April 10, 2019, 03:59:43 AM
Ignorance & lack of information is a major contributor to this, Here are some of the possible reason why newbies think storing of private on email is the best solution;
  • They could easily remember where they stored their private key
  • It can be easily access from any device as far they're connected to the internet
  • They have been earlier misinformed that storing sensible information on their email is safe

Again the type of wallet they use play a major role in them storing their private key carelessly. A user making use of an online (web) or APP wallet is likable to store their private key in their email than a user making use of a hardware wallet. So again they need to be informed on the best wallet to use to prevent issues like this (them storing private key in emails) from occuring.
7405  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Need Help With Bitforex Exchange on: April 10, 2019, 03:41:29 AM
From the images provided I can see you sent to the correct USDT address and your USDT should had been in your exchange wallet by now although I don't know how many confirmation bitforex needs to accepts USDT deposit but a 3days period should had be ok to receive enough confirmed for that. The only option now is to try harder untill you get a response from their support team. If the opening of support tickets isn't getting their attention try via their social media platforms like Twitter and telegram.

PS: In future don't send coins or fund between exchanges instead withdraw to your personal wallet then fund the new exchange. I have lost some token before due to the same issue. Some exchange don't accept fund from smart contract. although it might not be the same issue with yours so try to get a response from support only them can help you since from your end you did everything right.
7406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Posts of Old vs Posts of New on: April 09, 2019, 05:50:02 PM
No disrespect to the people I call "New generation of Bitcointalk" like myself but comparing our post now and post of then is a disrespect to the true heros of bitcoin those who believe in bitcoin when bitcoin was nothing. The main reason most of them registered on forum was due to the need to associate with like minds and share idea on how to make the technology what it's today. Yes if you go through some post you would consider them shitposts (based on the rating of quality post today) but guess what then, there was no need to construct your post to impress some meriter. everyone was free to air their views the way they liked. Also then, ranking up was very easy that's why spammers could easily cheat their ways to the top and when most people see such accounts they tend to generalize that they were all shitposters but technically those legendary accounts you can find extreme worthless posts on their post history were all spammers ( and mostly alt accounts).

Even in the discussions been discussed today, you can't compare ours to theirs just as the later users of Bitcointalk won't have to compare thiers either. Although we do still have quality posters that can compete with the best of their time so we aren't doing bad either. Both generations have quality posters and if I were to vote my vote goes to them.
7407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My posts are not adding up on: April 09, 2019, 12:53:47 PM
In addition to LoyceV's reply inwhich if you read through the link he provided, you'll understand clearly what your question was all about but you should also know that, you need merits too the activity can't be denial, you get 14 Activity in 2weeks irrespective of your rank status as far you were actively posting within that weeks not putting into consideration if your post were quality ones or not but you need to delivery quality post or at least above average to receive merits because without it your Activity and post costs are useless and you'll remain a newbie forever
7408  Other / Meta / Re: What will happen with deceased DT members' feedback? on: April 09, 2019, 11:41:00 AM
I think the best option was the counter positive feedback as this isn't a critical situation that theymos has to step in. Him doing so in such a minor situation might open a reason for more individuals (you know those I'm taking about) to appeal for their negative feedback to be removed too. I think the only time theymos has to step in is when the feedbacks can soiled the users reputation outside forum and it's a false feedback resulting to arrest or government intervention. If a counter positive feedback can do the trick I see no reason why admin has to be involved.
7409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why there is so much fuss about decentralized exchanges on: April 09, 2019, 08:14:47 AM
Quote from: omi121 link=topic=5129708.msg50523443#msg50523443
However, I heard about the security breach of Bancor and waves DEX. So what's the point of decentralized exchanges if they are still being hacked Huh

I can tell you for a fact, we haven't gotten an exchange that's totally decentralized, all those exchange are just semi-centralized ones hiding in the name of decentralized exchange. When something is decentralized is meaan you have control over all information and no 3rd party is involved now how are these scamming getting access to private keys if no third party storing them? We're not yet there when we talk about totally decentralized exchange, so for now when accessing any of them use a different wallet (details) or wallet extension to avoid leak of your private keys.
7410  Other / Meta / Re: Security deposits for Bounty threads on: April 09, 2019, 08:08:17 AM
The things now trending in the crypto-ecosystem are just semi-centralized feature from KYC to escrow etc I get it scam reports are becoming a common thing and we're looking for ways to solve it but getting an endorsement, using escrow aka giving power the few is that the solution to the problem? I thought blockchain was all about decentralization but now all the community is after is how to go back to the old ways the fait currency system is been operated that's giving power the the few via KYC, ESCROW etc. Lets think of something new none of this thing worked perfectly before and they won't work now.

The future is blockchain (decentralization) lets think of new ways to make the system more decentralized instead giving back power to a selected few.
7411  Economy / Economics / Re: finding investors on: April 09, 2019, 06:47:46 AM
In finding investors, if your target are institutional investors then attending seminars, Meetup or convention will be a great start. Occasionally these investors organized interview too, I know of a firm in South Africa that organized interview for projects developing a product through blockchain technology and are looking for fund(investors) 5-10 companies compete and the winners (most interesting and promising) project gets the fund. You just have to do some search, such opportunities can be found in your geographical location too.
7412  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ddmrddmr on DT1 on: April 09, 2019, 06:39:10 AM
DdmrDdmr was the second user I added to my trust list after LoyceV. He isn't that active when it comes to leaving feedbacks but again that shouldn't be the only reason for we to trust someone like theymos said "the trust system is just a guide, don't make judgement just because an account is painted green or red, carryout personal research". I'm glad he's on the DT list, we just have to encourage him to participate more as he owes the forum some kind of duty now he's a DT member.
7413  Economy / Economics / Re: what makes us good investors. on: April 08, 2019, 07:08:27 AM
Selling or buying investments ?
As a bitcoin trader the hardest decision that we can ever take is , selling our beloved cryptocurrency and this is preety hard because of :-

Are you speaking in respect to an investor or a trader? When it comes to trading the NO1 thing you should give attention to is your emotions, put it in check don't let it overshadow your decision making. As for selling your assets, we have crypto related loan project that we can leverage on or even make use of those offering the service on the forum (but beware of scammers). When you went to cash out but don't want to sell your assets (coins) you can Loan them for other coins and cashout, that way, you'll still make profit on future price gain of your coins when you get them back after paying back the loan.

What makes a good investors is knowing what to do, how to do it and how to take leverage of new system in the crypto-ecosystem.
7414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everything You Need to Know about IEO on: April 08, 2019, 06:57:58 AM
For a starter, I hate been redirected out of forum to go read some article, if you're the original owner of article then post then on forum and you can add a source link at the end for reference purpose or indicate you're the original owner of article to avoid been accused of plagiarism.

In addition: There's a disadvantage I have noticed in the past project that carryout their crowdfunding through IEO which is very disturbing. The whales are manipulating the sales, they buy all the token in matter of sec/mins leaving the average investor with no token to buy which is bad because this guy's can easily manipulate the price of this coins/tokens when they hit the market. Exchange need to find solution to this issue which could be solved by putting buy limits on each account.
7415  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ryan Hildreth , Bitconnect scam on: April 08, 2019, 06:39:21 AM
I'm a big fan of YouTube videos & I did notice during the bear market (especially when the market was bleeding seriously) I didn't see any of those videos pop up but just because of this small gain, my email and Twitter feed is now filled up with predictions and so call picks for the bull ran also poping up on YouTube. These guys need to be arrested. If I can recall clearly,  The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) went after celebrities promoting scam I'm just wondering why they haven't go after the numerous "so called"  Crypto influencer and experts on YouTube and Twitter. These guys need to be fined or arrested.
7416  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Life before and life after. on: April 08, 2019, 03:55:12 AM
Thanks @qwertyup23 for sharing, I also lost to USI-TECH and few other scam projects that pump up in my country back then. The promoters were the main reason newbies joining the cryptocurrency industry actually believe in those project. right now there's a new one trending called IML they promise same benefits as USI-TECH but it takes experience users to identify this projects as scam. And I try my best to warned individuals I see promoting the scam in disguise of trading Forex/cryptocurrency for her victims. Sometimes it'a good we experience this scams because they teach us life lessons, in my case it's from Ponzi scheme I got to know about bitcoin and ever since my life have be different and now I'm a new me.
7417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Benefits of promoting (joining) a quality paid signature campaign. on: April 07, 2019, 07:01:17 PM
I'm tired of playing with the altcoin bounty at the moment. Too many scams and broken promises in altcoin bounties. Yes, not all of them are, but it is more like gambling than simple due diligence.

Nice of you connecting, The bear market is a major contributor to the rate at which bounty campaign are scamming their promoters in regard to paying them cents although we still have good ones out there. Just as we have trustworthy bitcoin paid signature managers I'm positive we have or will soon have trustworthy altcoin bounty signature campaign manager too. Just need to carry-out some more research but no doubt bitcoin Paid signature are the best.
7418  Other / Meta / Re: Excessively meriting a mediocre post - rules? on: April 07, 2019, 03:58:21 PM
Taki barely sends any merit, so my guess is that either he was just getting rid of it on a post that he really agreed with or the recipient bought it from him.

He was meriting his alt as poven above with connected Ethereum address. I'll consider his act as an act of foolishness, greediness and desperation. Foolishness for sending such huge amount of smerits to a post most people will classified as worthless. Greediness for trying to cheat the forum and Desperation for trying to rank up his alt to earn more from forum.

I don't see anything wrong with sending huge amount of smerits to posts (although I haven't send any yet) but that post he merited doesn't deserve any merit in the first place, lets say it wasn't his alt and he agreed with the post the best he would had done is sending 1 merit (at least that's what most people do). That's not the purpose of merit anyways but as humans we can't eliminate doing so sometimes.
7419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smerits Hodl on: April 07, 2019, 08:52:45 AM
If we want this board to get more attention, first we need to join hands together to reduce the rate of spam on the board. In as much as you make comments here, try to read through other comments and report worthless posts the moment you see one. The moment the spam rate reduces on board, more merit sources will be interested in this board. We need to help ourself before we seek for help from outside. Smerits aren't to be held thats the fact, did a post on that something ago too.

(2). see Smerit as liabilities to myself and an Asset to others and give them away to deserving users
7420  Other / Meta / Re: ''Trusted New project'' section for Bitcointalk on: April 07, 2019, 06:47:10 AM
No need for that because scam projects won't make use of such board (and those are the projects we're trying to eliminate) because they know they'll be caught and out of fear of reviewers finding some few flaws in their project (because every projects has one) other projects might be afraid to use the boards especially when it get abuse for some selfie reasons.

The easiest way to get a honest review from forum without knowing or paying is, get your project in order. Dot the I's and cross your t's and start a bounty campaigns you will get the attention of scam busters and if you don't see a scam accusation thread on the Scam Accusation board in days or weeks then know your project is OK at least. don't try paying for a review most time you won't get an accurate result.
