7401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO][ECH] Ethconnect - LENDING | STAKING | TRADING in Best Platform on: October 24, 2017, 03:55:04 AM
After a bit of success few months ago with bitconnect and then regal hit the market and was an instant success, every dev wants to rope his project around "Lending". I do not have any probs with that lack of innovation. However, I do worry about the absence of a genuine team for the ethconnect project because that's what makes an ICO for me besides the White paper. So, I would say this is an obvious plot to scam!
7402  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk.to same of Bitcointalk.org ? on: October 23, 2017, 07:21:40 PM
I see some of the content is same but I`m kind of confused. There was this NEMEther airdrop topic here which seems to be removed (for who knows that reason) but the same topic still continues on bitcointalk.to ? I don`t understand what is going on???

https:/bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2270578.520

Of course this is a phishing site. It is now becoming the order of the day to have these hackers go this way. I will advise that links to such sites should not be made active (like I did the quoted) so that people here don't mistakenly click on them.

I have to enter the address bar edit "org" to "to" . the results surprise:
https//bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2302330.0
I think this may be a different domain of bitcointalk.org. However, before the confirmation from the Admin, beware it

Pls deactivate the link like I did in your comment as quoted.
7403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tricky Question, Sell BTC and buy Altcoin? on: October 23, 2017, 04:23:00 PM
It is  a good time for Crypto Land, we are on the moon,.... and even better.
When we have to sell Bitcoin and buy Altcoin?
Forking makes your Bitcoin higher,
so I can sell it.

These extra money can be used to buy (cheap) altcoins,... anyone has suggestion when do I have to start to buy it?

What are we really all about here? Hasn't Bitcoin been forked already? I doubt because the bitcoingold is already listed on some exchanges as we speak at over $600 per coin. Yobit.io has it listed. Binance also has it. So, is there another fork after this important listing?
7404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 50k$ in which coin would make you a millionaire in 1-2 years? on: October 23, 2017, 01:34:25 PM
So i've seen a similar thread about some guy asking whether he could be a millionaire in 2 years if he put 30k in Monero(if he did he would make around 3m$ and it's not 2years yet).

So i am likely not going to put 50k$ in a coin, but it will be intresting to read this in 1-2 years.

So yep, the question is: Which coin do you think would make you a millionaire in 1-2 years if you put 50k$ into it today?

It's "only" x20, which is realistic imho. My pick would be LBRY, although the chances of that happening are slim!
Your position seems a bit contradictory. You said you won't put that huge amount on just one coin but you went ahead and picked only LBRY. Isnt that a single coin?

Anyway, given that choice now at the moment I will diversify into at least ten coins:
1. Lisk
2. Waves
3. Regalcoin
4. Westerncoin (just concluded ICO)
5. Glasscoin (just concluded ICO)
6. Omisego
7. Dalecoin
8. Firstcoin
9. Ripple
10. Walton
7405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much closer is Bitcoin to being mainstream? on: October 23, 2017, 08:19:49 AM
How much closer is Bitcoin to being mainstream, and how do you gauge that?  I noticed more ATMs in recent years, but other that haven't seen too many other signs.
Even the use of ATM will further distant Bitcoin from the anonymous status of its holders it seeks to protect. This is even a cog in the wheel of its progress for me. Besides that, I really think Bitcoin is still far removed from being mainstream. The 21million total supply (which is really infinitesimal compared to global population) and the erratic nature in price are two major issues for the Bitcoin to contend with.
7406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: contribution to the society of bitcoin on: October 23, 2017, 04:44:20 AM
OP, if you don't mind, you may want to edit the question in your poll. It is fraught with error or is that the new way of writing such, in a repetitive way? Anyway, to the question, yes it is very feasible that Bitcoin has the ability of changing the financial situations of ordinary people. But these people should be holders of Bitcoin or those who transact with it before that transformation can take place.
7407  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: October 23, 2017, 03:30:40 AM
What efforts have you made so far?
Earning BTC online shouldn't be too difficult so long as you apply yourself to it.
Try offering your skills online in exchange for BTC. You could create a website where you offer that service or offer freelancing services on the forum and other crypto channels.
If you have free time and can learn a new skill then do that. You'd be able to apply that skill and start earning through offering that skill to others in a matter of time.

Ive been in affiliate program to earn bitcoins but sadly that is to cover only my bills and expences. I envy someone else who made their fortune doing bitcoin.
Oh? I see. So, you even earn already through an affiliate program? Then the title head of your thread should not have been what it is. It should contain investment. You should be seeking advice on where and what to invest on. Dude, you should try and ploy back your earnings from the affiliate program into some Bitcoin investments rather than always spend it on regular bills. With investment you should become lucky because that is the surest way of growing one's Bitcoin. Buy into ICOs and if you get into a good project you should make some.bitcoins within a few weeks.
7408  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap advertising Ponzi site on: October 23, 2017, 02:31:10 AM
Coinmrket i think is just a regular site and May be it was paid by that company to advertise or promote its own site. Seeing it is acquiring many views, its good opportunity to advertise site links. Because I have seen many sites in coinmarket cap and annoying as they be, that is how a site is earning.
As someone who has a few years in the media as a journalist, I have come to realize that most media houses survive and are able to take care if running costs through patronage (money from advertisers who could be moneybags or unscrupulous politicians) I know and understand that. But there's always some reputable media houses that stay away from that. That is what CMC should be doing. It should stay away and not let go of its reputation because of some cash in the offing. It shouldn't be allowing fraudulent schemes advertise on its site. Doing that will make it lose face.
7409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins are dying on: October 22, 2017, 09:20:38 PM
Altcoins are dying and some will be dead. Bitcoin murdered them and now I want to murder my self.
Whatever that bolded in your comment means, the humour is lost on me. Anyway, I really don't see the death of altcoins as a factor that has do with the bitcoin. Bitcoin is a pioneer crypto and has deep substance with its usage and that is why it's still useful daily. What happens with some altcoins (off course there are good ones) is that they lack substance. These altcoins get dropped after a while because they lack the services they should be providing. Naturally and quite expectedly they get dropped and die off.
7410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most common uses of Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2017, 03:52:54 AM
I am a newbie in Bitcoin Forum.I know some of the most important uses of Bitcoin. They are:
1.You can buy a flight ticket.
2.You can rent a hotel room.
3.you can buy pizza and other food related goods.
4.You can use it as a investment vehicle because bitcoin will continue to grow in value.

I want to know other important uses of it.

Basically, you numbers one to three are the same purpose: For Transaction, while number four is investment. Just like one does with fiat too or any other article of value. These two categories are the major uses of the bitcoin.
7411  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop after fork 25th on: October 22, 2017, 03:03:17 AM
I think this is the case, though I do expect BTC to continue rising until the day of the fork, I then expect a very sudden fall back down to about 5k.
I expect a hard dump after Bitcoin holders have made good their claims for the resultant forked coin, bitcoingold. The plunge will hit the market once the whales pull out their money and the so many small holders will sell off so hard in panic that they will run into loses. I see Bitcoin retracing to the $3000 region. However, if the retracement and corrections are minor to just with $4000 region, then that means Bitcoin will likely get to $10,000 before the end of 2017.
7412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I late to the party? on: October 22, 2017, 02:20:26 AM
I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?

Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!

Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!

Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?

My frustration is BIG.
You should regret more and that is why I bolded that part in your comment. You knew about them all that while but decided to watch from the sidelines because you thought cryptocurrency was a scam, right? You should even hit yourself in the head with a hammer. You see, that adage "At the end we only regret the actions we didn't take. Not that which we took and failed" holds true. Now, you better plug in. Otherwise, you will regret more in a few month's time.
7413  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to Earn Trust on: October 21, 2017, 12:20:27 PM
Hi everyone, I would like to ask, how can we earn trust in this forum? I would like to earn trust Cheesy thanks in advance.
OP, trust isn't what should be your concern here as a noob if you must do well. In my few months being here I have come to realize that trust earning is biased here and does not truly reflect on some accounts (I may be wrong here, anyway because some holders have truly earned their respect. But others have not). Sometimes, the neg tag is unjustly done with something as minute as a little post disagreement among members. OP, trust is simply overrated here.
7414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Cashout BitCoins? on: October 21, 2017, 10:57:16 AM
Some exchanges don't have the option to sell your coins for $,£,€
In some exchanges such as Kraken, Bitstamp, etc people can sell their bitcoins (of course) for dollars, euros, etc and then get the money transferred to their bank account quite easily.
Really, Kraken and Bitstamp? I don't have an idea they do fiat exchange for coins. I will check them up. And OP, it isn't true that all exchanges use Bitcoin mandatorily for deposit. Some exchanges do accept ethereum for deposit.

Of course OP, localbitcoin is a veritable source of exchange for crypto to fiat but the processes are not that as fast as it would've been doing it on a trading exchange.
7415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being A Friend of Satoshi Nakamoto on: October 20, 2017, 01:52:28 PM
Just like some devs give out free coins as bonuses during ICOs, I am sure Satoshi would've given free bitcoins to me if I were his friend at the onset. He would have done that to spur me on and I would've bought a few to encourage him. Let's not pretend here, nobody would have bought enough Bitcoin to own half of the 21million stakes. Not even Satoshi. No one believed Bitcoin would come this far. Those who invested did so from money they could afford to lose. We all look at hindsight now and regret why we never invested more.
7416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: lost and struggle of trading. on: October 20, 2017, 06:18:59 AM
•Is trading hard?
I want it to come from the people who actually trade who experience trading I myself just read from goggle and some websites. Please do share some experiences and lost of money and earnings.
What do you called this? struggles yeah thats its struggle of traders.

Trading itself is not that hard. It is just buying and selling of goods and services. But to be profitable is the hard part. Most traders lose money not because they don't predict right but because they don't have the discipline to follow through their trading plan. Emotion is the number one trader-killer. OP, if you continually make loses, you should just take a break and go acquire requisite trading skills.
7417  Economy / Speculation / Re: This guy predicts bitcoin to be $20,000 in 2 years. What do you think? on: October 20, 2017, 01:11:28 AM
All the predictions around Bitcoin have not been accurate. So, why should the $20,000 prediction be any different. This year, Bitcoin ATH was put at $2500. But what do we have already? $5,000, right? That's right. Bitcoin has proved that no one knows where it is headed. I am not even sure Satoshi knew Bitcoin had this great potential when he created it. I believe Bitcoin could out perform the $20,000 prediction within the timeframe set for it.
7418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: job and trading together.. on: October 19, 2017, 10:56:30 AM
I think I can earn limited amount of money every month. I want to invest my money in trading. How can I get a good
a good amount profit every month??How I research the market? How to find out the good coin to invest? Thanks in advance ....

Trading (be it forex or crypto) is not a lazy man's adventure. It requires discipline and research. OP, you have to carry out diligent research on your own if you want to make a headway in trading. It is not enough to seek handouts by merely asking around here. And about combining trading with you regular job,b this isn't going to be an easy task. This is because trading requires concentration and focus which a job by the side may derail.
7419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What technical indicators do you use for trading cryptocurrency? on: October 19, 2017, 06:06:39 AM
To all the master traders, top winners, and geniuses, please share your top technical indicators for trading cryptocurrency, which is the best?
I rely heavily on Support and Resistance. And then use the SMA (Some Moving Average) set at 25 to get into trades. I look up to the 4hrs candle or the daily candle to cross it and remain there at the end of that candle for a buy or sell signal. Of course, I know the SMA is a lagging indicator and also has its demerits but it works for me.
7420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin wallet that supports the hardfork? on: October 19, 2017, 04:22:22 AM
What wallet should I use to store my bitcoin and will automatically give me BTG on November?
I guess all those wallets that supported the August fork, BCH, will also support this upcoming fork. Electrum did and it is a secured offline wallet where you also hold your keys.

So i guess there's nothing I have to do as long as as my bitcoin is stored in my current bitcoin wallet except on wallet on exchanges. Thanks  Cheesy
Poloniex is an exchange. It awarded its clients who had Bitcoin on its site before the fork the bonus coin, BCH, from the previous fork. I guess some other exchanges did too.
