7421  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Average mining ROI on: August 17, 2015, 03:57:47 PM
What is average mining ROI? I calculated that it's around 200 days with electricity included. With Antminer S5+ https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=0002015081407532655504JMKzsM067B
It's 180 days.

It varies greatly no one can say for sure that far away.  Also there are so many individual variable such as electricity, that will effect it.

Some things such as difficulty will effect it but you cant tell what it will be 200 day's later.    I would use bitwisdom on trying to calculate ROI, it is one of my favorites.
7422  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: want to start mining on: August 17, 2015, 03:54:54 PM
most of you guys suggested me to run something big in order to see results and profit as well.
But for now I don't have some enough money, how do you think if i buy two s5 antiminer instead of one will it make profit at the beginning.. Smiley)))))

Who suggested big?   I am seeing small ones mostly.

And yes a S5 at .05 cents is pretty good.   No one can guarantee ROI but it is a nice start.

I am a believer that both will gain some substantial value especially LTC after the having coming soon.

I believe Litecoin already had it's "halving runup", just as I suspect bitcoin will see some price increase late next spring anticipating it's halfing probably in mid-July.

The good part is it still should kick the older generation of asics offline and make room for more efficient miners, if this will be enough to accommodate the half amount of coins I have no clue.

it would be nice to see all of the zeus machines running on cheap power shut down.
Yeah they run a bit too much power for my taste but they are the only cheaper machines compared to the others, Litecoin asics are very expensive it seems.

Still cheaper then what it was.  Look into the A2 90 machines.  Those things costed a fortune.  And remained king for a long time.

Zeus I'm surprised a lot still run.  A lot I think are running at a loss they just are not very efficient.
7424  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] OPEN SPOTS Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: August 17, 2015, 03:42:16 PM
I think I found the issue of the payment. If a member reaches the limit of 100 posts, the bot underpays ~10% of posts.

What does everyone think of me paying out a 10% bonus for your the payouts where you hit the limit (those who did)? Does that sound fair enough?

I'll still look into the other missed payment, could it be due to the 100 post limit being reached without everyone knowing about it? Thinking a bit out loud here.

The one week i had a lot more then 10 percent it was close to 50 percent lost.   I sent Pics of this.   If you could please pay that week of 2015-08-03 05:10:09 for me as 10 percent is much less.

This week 10 percent would be fair I had 115 or more posts and made less then the .13 by just a little.    And I realize it will go down to .12 this cycle.

If you could please let me know what will happen on the 2015-08-03 payment for me.

Still best sig campaign Smiley just wish I could get that one week fixed as mine was a good amount off.
7425  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: August 17, 2015, 03:31:05 PM
I am not defending dogie , but   he said it is cheaper to buy from bitmaintech then itop.

Now itop may not like that but that was true.

http://www.itopshop.net/world-biggest-miner-antminer-s5-bitcoin-miner-77-t-3436w-p-271.html

3299  plus shipping

https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=0002015081407532655504JMKzsM067B

2307 plus shipping

so we are talking about a big mark up here.

My question to iTop is will you reduce price or keep the markup?

The biggest thing in my mind is if you buy direct from bitmain you have 90 day warranty.  Warranty do not transfer so if you buy from ITOP you have no bitmain warranty, unless they are lying to bitmain and send it in as if they still owned it and did not sell it.
7426  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: August 17, 2015, 07:41:22 AM
It done on the base of chinese VAT regulations. if you order miners to HK, you dont pay VAT. You can check it on webpage!

https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=0002015081407532655504JMKzsM067B
and it wont be changed!

Ahh ok from  your post I thought you meant just ordering from website caused not vat.  That it was not basing it on destination but website.

Hong Kong is out of VAT, so if you choose on webpage HK, you will see NO VAT!
7427  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining contracts - the new ponzi on: August 17, 2015, 07:37:45 AM
So, it it actually possible to make a profit using a cloud mining service?
Possibly by mining certain altcoins, I would think?

if you do not get the situation that was discovered with cex.io where their stopped their mining activity because their miners was not profitable anymore, and investors lost basically tons of money, maybe you can hope to do roi in 5 months

certainly if someone has roi already because he started this years, now he is ahead and he is making a good profit, if he start big....

There are a lot of variables.  Difficulty has been pretty good.  Price could be better.   All depends on fees really, and cost.   The legit sites you at least have a chance.

The ponzi that actually have no gear and pretend to mind is the plague on cloud mining.  Sadly there are just a lot of scams you have to be carefull.
7428  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: August 17, 2015, 04:51:57 AM
Please update regarding my question - Question from BITMAIN

I am really wonder, Does all China states and cities charge apply so much tax as 1.527 BTC (403.750 USD) by buying each single unit of s5+ ? what about hongking shipping does any such tax applies on hongkong shipping address ?
Hong Kong is out of VAT, so if you choose on webpage HK, you will see NO VAT!

And I'm sure they will kill this now that it was posted.  I'm sure it was a mistake if website does not charge vat based on website and not address.

If you don't pay vat when you should would it not cause problems during shipping?  Seems like they would catch it.
7429  Other / Archival / Re: Diff thread Aug 8 to Aug 22nd picks are closed. Good luck! on: August 17, 2015, 04:42:31 AM
from that addy  I think this is the s-5+ tally

26    orders of 1
 8     orders of 2
 3     orders of 3
 1     order of  4
 3     orders of 5
 1     order  of 7
 1     order of 8
 2     orders of 10

That would be around 105 machines.  Giving 7.7 TH each around is a little over 800T.

The thing I wonder is the data center's.   I am guessing they might have their own addy.   I'm not sure how wild data centers will go with price, but as far as footprint they are able to put a lot more S5+ then regular S5 in space.

Also bitwisdom looks nice:
Bitcoin Difficulty:    52,699,842,409
Estimated Next Difficulty:    53,057,568,681 (+0.68%)
Adjust time:    After 739 Blocks, About 5.1 days
Hashrate(?):    360,906,292 GH/s

Price is around 258.
7430  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] OPEN SPOTS Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: August 17, 2015, 03:42:25 AM
My last payment was off again. I checked stats just a few minutes prior, and had like 14 posts not counted (which is normal for me) and had an 8-9 post buffer. I ended up being paid "0.1144" instead of 0.13 (the amount it said just a couple minutes prior was what should be paid out).

Also Macro if you could look into that week payments were "glitched" for many.   I have not heard what is happening with that.  If it's going to be paid, or if I should right it off.

Still best sig campaign around Smiley
7431  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: August 17, 2015, 03:39:04 AM

So what kind of Wattage PSUs should one be running?( assuming they are getting 3x identical PSU) for the S5+

They recommend 3 of their PSU's - https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201505040743496917U7kGsCm0694

I would agree with going with server PSU's on these.  Unless you happen to have them paid off ATX is going to be more expensive.

Someone mentioned having a separate PSU for the controller board and/or at least some separate power connection to the controller board and that it 'must' be powered on AFTER the hash boards.  Do you have any insight into that?

there is no issue we connect the hash boards & the control boards at the same time.
There are some running Videos and some of my customers already got the miners on hand from ITOP Corp

you can check more details here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1146965.220

I see you have been posting a lot.  Are you a official reseller?  (IE bitmain warrenty is still valid if bought from you, as it does not transfer people which kills most resellers).

Just was not sure if you are official reseller or unofficial.  Thanks.
7432  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: August 17, 2015, 03:35:58 AM
What do you get for power running both modes?

970 watts?

I think its close to 1,000 with the power supply overhead on a platinum rated PSU I friend my last kill A watt so I have another one on order I will take a picture of it when i get it Monday

thanks looking forward to it.

1000 watts is not terrible.

Do you happen to have a 1k watt Gold (RM1000 if possible) that you can try on it and see how well it works?
7433  Economy / Services / Re: 50% off Flights and Hotels Service on: August 16, 2015, 11:45:45 PM
A suggestion to anyone who wishes to try this, in the past many threads have popped up offering the same service. Some of them were accused of carding and making the bookings. So you can get into trouble if carding is involved for this.
By Carding you mean using stolen Credit cards to fund Flights and Hotels? That is bad. I see that OPs offer is really great, 50% discount on everything is huge. Almost too good to be true.
Op, what is your secret? Can you tell us how can you offer your service so cheap?

It's definitely not carding. However, our method is confidential, sorry.

I really would love a 1/2 price vacation.  I just am afraid as it sounds to good to be true.  And I avoid if I cannot understand how a buisness is profitable.

In past most are either carding or stealing points.   Either one scares the heck out of me being linked to.   I don't want to do a flight especially and get linked to a carding scheme.

What can you tell us to make us believe this is possible without blackhat things?
7434  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help!!! on: August 16, 2015, 11:41:56 PM
We need a lot more details.  Just saying it's not working is not going to get any help really.

What does PSU lights look like?   What did last owner say problem was?
7435  Other / Meta / Re: Your IP HAS SOME EVIL POINTS? on: August 16, 2015, 11:39:50 PM
Smells like you are being scammed or whatever. Don't pay shit to anyone if asked.

I assume OP is talking about the fee you have to pay to use Bitcointalk if your IP is blacklisted.
That feature was implemented to combat spammers among other things.

I didn't even know such a thing (feature) existed. Is there a post somewhere detailing this information? Not that I expect to need it, just this post aroused my curiosity on how/why it was implemented.

couldn't find any "official" thread about it. but there's an explanation posted by theymos here.
That basically concludes this thread. In short this is the system invented by mods to ban newbies and people who created many accounts using one IP. It includes fun factor 'evil units'.
Evil Units are nothing more than 'price list' you need to pay forum in case your IP is banned. It is not usually big money but couple of satoshis.

It is really not a bad thing to have either.  It prevents someone from using one IP and spamming over and over.  They have to at least switch IP's.

No system is perfect.  If you live in shared residence or sharing a proxy it could cause it.  But overall its a good thing.
7436  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer R1 on: August 16, 2015, 07:51:32 PM
Yeah but they are selling it as a new gimmick product also the S1 chips use a lot of power so this has to have the latest chip in it but even if it was $20 for a USB miner and $20 for A cheap router that would be a fair price at $40

I'm hoping our right on price as I want one for fun.   Only way I can see going much higher is if they tie it with some other product such as their cloud mining.

Guess time will tell.

The new antminer s6 wil come this mont
The antminer s6 gone have 4500 gh/s
Power 1000watts
I can not wait to order

I would like to know the source of this, i have search a lot and don't find anything.

It sound too good to be real  Tongue

You will notice the month that was posted Smiley.   I would not put to much stock in it.

Not to mention I think they said skipping S6 and S7 will be their net gen.
7439  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: August 15, 2015, 10:34:14 PM
You guys have to understand this unit is designed with Density in mind. So for all the guys who have rack space to fill you can fit these S5+ Units nicely in a 4U Rack space compared to S5 units, obviously the small efficiency bump was due to under clocking and better cooling. In light of bitmain offering PacMic V3 and the S5+ unit at the same time this is an indication that the chip is end of life and the PacMic is to fund there tap out of there new chip for an S7 coming sometime in the next few months. Obviously the sale of all there second hand S5's is a clear sign they are cleaning out there farm to upgrade to the newer miners. Most other companies KnC, Spondoolies aren't offering any new miners to public I still think bitmain is a good company even though there focus is shifting to making gear for themselves with a side market of selling to enthusiasts around the world but make no mistake there top priority is having the most efficient gear for themselves first

I do not believe in conspiracy theories. But I  do not believe,  that some of their 3 different PacMic still mine with antminer S5, as they say.
I just do not believe it.

I have no doubt they have a plan that is best for them.  I do suspect they also have some of the best unknown electricity rates.  I suspect the got rid of quite a bit of thier S5's during last batch.  And might have but S5+'s in for temporary hashing.

But I think their electricity is so low they likely could run a S5 easily for most of the PacMic contracts.  Although electricity price they give public on it is nothing special - fixed at 0.098 USD per kWh .

I do see uses for S5+'s.  I just see a lot of unknowns.
7440  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer R1 on: August 15, 2015, 08:21:40 PM
How much does this thing cost?

I'm guessing 150 at the most maybe because it is a router that mines BTC and will be on all the time if it's in a home or business. my router is . i wonder if it will  run a tv cable off of it like the Verizon router if it can which i know it Polly can't i would replace my Verizon router with it and i would buy it for sure I want one but it depends on the price if i buy it or not and what the router part can do . I don't have a use for three routers I have two now but if I could replace both the Verizon and voyage router that would be awesome , but i sure it's a normal router with nothing special about other then it mines BTC.

I think that is way to much.  I see it competing with tplink nano's and a usb stick miner.  So 20 for tplink, and 25 or so for stick miner.

I'm hoping to see this around 50.  I would guess though they will jack price some but 150 were talking about a lot bigger and more quality routers then a one usb plug and one Ethernet plug little box with a miner chip in it likely.
