7421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Dollar Backed Digital Currency introduced on: December 27, 2017, 12:48:37 PM
Well that has got to be a real winner. Smiley

The whole point of crypto-currencies is to disconnect them from fiat currencies.
7422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prove Bitcoin is not a bubble on: December 27, 2017, 12:45:27 PM
We don't need to prove anything.
If you don't like Bitcoin, then find another forum, but don't come crying to us when your dollars go the way of the Bolivar. Smiley
7423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain replace supermarkets? on: December 26, 2017, 02:49:27 PM
There is a shift towards on-line sales, but only for those people who aren't concerned by the possibility of eugenics by the globalists. I'm not surprisedto see Unilever supporting it. They put forward Brexit as a reason for a proposed increase in the price of PG tips tea, and at the same time Tetley had a lot of tea offers, some as much as 50% off. Looking at the current attempts to dump PG tips through the supermarkets at the moment, it looks as if the British public is wise to their tricks. Smiley

As sales are concentrated into a few major retailers, we will see quality dropping and prices increasing. I, for one, will not buy food on-line, and certainly not from organisations that introduce toxicity into edible products.
7424  Other / Meta / Re: Are there real people here, or just bots? on: December 24, 2017, 07:38:09 PM
I suspect that it is now mainly bots. I started a Happy Christmas thread, and it dropped onto page 2 fairly quickly. This is the only forum that I visit that doesn't have an active Happy Christmas thread.
7425  Other / Meta / Is there a way to turn off sig banners? on: December 24, 2017, 07:35:27 PM
I'd like to turn off sig banners, but keep text signatures. Is this possible here?
7426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you donate Bitcoin for the poor and needy? on: December 24, 2017, 07:30:32 PM
It's better to help them to use Bitcoin to escape debt, than to give to big Pharma via "healthcare". Most of the poor and needy beggars in the UK seem to have high end phones, so using Bitcoin shouldn't be a problem.
7427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Morgan Stanley says the true price of bitcoin might be zero ? on: December 24, 2017, 07:02:12 PM
Quote
Can Bitcoin be valued like a currency? No. There is no interest rate associated with Bitcoin.
That statement shows the value of their comments. We are now in an era of negative interest rates for fiat "currency".

The other fact to consider is that if they really thought it had a zero value, then they wouldn't be buying it privately.
7428  Other / Off-topic / Happy CrimbleCoin you Hodlers. on: December 24, 2017, 06:01:28 PM
Happy Christmas ( holiday) to all you Bitcoiners.
Lets hope Santa has an air drop when he announces Crimble coin ( well everybody else seems to have a coin these days. Smiley
7429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners will now remove your profits on: December 24, 2017, 11:48:49 AM
Sorry. Miners don't set the fees. Users do.

Isn't this the truth. Just ignore FrightJoe, and submit transactions with lower fees. Let the CryptoMafia waste their money trying to destabilise Bitcoin
7430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shaking out the tree on: December 24, 2017, 09:10:35 AM
It will be interesting to see how Bitcoin is used when 90% of the coins are locked in the vaults of the bankers and the Deep State. I'm almost tempted to start mining. Smiley
7431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bcash will die in 2018 and Bitcoin will be even more valuable on: December 23, 2017, 04:06:59 PM
Why has it got to be "either/or", why can't they co-exist?
7432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Belarus President Signed A Decree That Legalizes Mining And Cryptocurrencies on: December 23, 2017, 03:20:48 PM
Looks like a smart move, and Belarus is part of the Russian empire. Welcome to the new world order. Smiley
7433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blackout - No transactions on Christmas Eve! on: December 23, 2017, 03:15:33 PM
Easy solution - start a mining pool, and give members priority for their transactions.
7434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What steps should I take to safeguard from Bitcoin fraud? on: December 23, 2017, 10:10:32 AM
There is no fraud in Bitcoin itself. The fraud comes from the misuse, carelessness or theft associated with any payment system.

Make sure your computer system is secure.
Try to avoid any of the Bitcoin"banking" services, such as on-line wallets.
Make sure that anyone you send coins or money to is legitimate.
7435  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin. Now it's all about the buyers on: December 23, 2017, 09:44:15 AM
The whales and institutions are idiots. They would have collected more coins if they had organised the correction at Christmas. Nearly everyone invested in Btc would be able to watch the market, more people to panic sell the bottom.

But their primary motivation is to create their own coins. Bitcoin is peanuts in comparison to their potential gains from this.
7436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is who? on: December 22, 2017, 08:46:58 PM
I like it when it drops, because I get more Bitcoin for my sales. However, I suspect there is a temptation to use fiat rather than Bitcoin when the price has dropped.
7437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it over?? on: December 22, 2017, 08:11:12 PM
If I sell a domain name, and the buyer pays me in Bitcoin from his wallet, then it will have zero impact on the price. It is only people exchanging Bitcoin that will move the price. Buying goods with Bitcoin means that you get more for your money, as you don't have to pay for the exchanges spread, or to pay tax.
7438  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: December 22, 2017, 07:30:56 PM
The issue of member rank before posting should be that people below certain ranks, should not be allowed to post outside certain section of the forum maybe beginners and help and the point to be garnered should be on completion of some tasks such as reading and understanding the forum rules, unwritten rules, what could interpret as untrustworthy actions etc.

Restricting new accounts to the beginners forum could be helpful. Maybe there should be a 50 post minimum before posters can spam the discussion forum.
7439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it over?? on: December 22, 2017, 07:23:37 PM
It's just shaking out the guys who sold their houses/phones/dog, or max'd their credit cards to buy coins. The bankers like to create debt because debt is slavery. Once they have cleaned out the junior speculators, they will be back to buying again.
7440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the biggest risk that bitcoin is facing at present? on: December 22, 2017, 06:41:23 PM
Coins being bought and taken out of circulation by the central bankers.
