7441  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bill Gator and OG not telling the whole truth. on: May 16, 2019, 04:38:01 AM
This has everything to do with Vod and nothing to do with Bill Gator or OG.

My statement that you deemed "irrelevant" had nothing to do with any of those 3 people. Go back and read through the quoted posts for context.
7442  Other / Meta / Re: How many posts I need to report to get a project using bumping bot down? + virus on: May 16, 2019, 04:21:58 AM
Huh. I checked the website, and I didn't find any viruses of any kind,I do have malwarebytes premium installed, and I even ran it through Virustotal and got nothing. Maybe that's why the thread is still up and running.

Unless there is reasonable proof, the likeliness of the thread getting thrashed is very likely.

Here you go:

Damn, I checked their website with VirusTotal yesterday, there was this small warning. I didn't open their website, just the twitter account.

Glad I didn't, look what rescan.pro found:

Why isn't their ANN closed already, there were so many bumping bots?
7443  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: OMNIS-BIT (website contains mining malware) on: May 15, 2019, 04:55:51 PM
Greetings. I am an Omnis-Bit team member. We wasn't aware about the presence of this malware in our website and we strongly think this issue was caused by thirds that was involved in developing and we had problems with and already left the team. We are checking our website to COMPLETELY REMOVE this malware, is not in our purposes to throw the hard work we put in the website and the money spent for developing with a low level malware. It would not make any sense for us to do something like that. Please, put in contact with us and we will show you with transparency what is our project about and that we ARE NOT scamming no one or trying to use our affictionate users for bad purposes, we spent months, energy and a THOUSANDS EUROS to build up our site, make it work and give life to our project. WE WILL REWARD who find out the malware in our website because we didn't knew about its presence.
you can contact the team throught TELEGRAM.
Thanks for attention. WE ARE NOT SCAMMERS and our project IS REAL and we can prove it.

Here's the thing: even if you are telling the truth, you're off to a pretty bad start here and perhaps you should consider advertising your project elsewhere. In addition to your malware issue, you've hired an extremely poor spambot service to bump your thread for you, which is a tactic frequently employed by scam projects to attract attention to their website.

You have people (or bots)

1. writing incredibly bland responses in broken English that are considered spam, resulting in their deletion and possible banning of the offending account:

Your project is very potential, I believe that you will succeed. I will always follow the information from you.

2. writing incredibly bland responses in Spanish (all have been deleted as spam already), and

3. copy/pasting comments from earlier in the thread for the sake of bumping the thread, which is highly frowned upon, and to be frank makes you look pretty stupid:

weak sauce. seems to be no reason for this tokens existence really
if you wanted to do the things claimed on your site, you would make your OWN chain
why rely on another coin for your project to survive?
lack of hard work, that is all. erc20 tokens are much less effort

weak sauce. seems to be no reason for this tokens existence really
if you wanted to do the things claimed on your site, you would make your OWN chain
why rely on another coin for your project

Honest projects with integrity do not resort to these kinds of tactics, but scammers do. A project's own strengths will help them gain traction and popularity -- not this forced version of creating artificial buzz. Most forum members see through your tactics already (as can be seen by a lot of comments in your thread left by more established members).

In short, you should either:

1. Open a new thread under a new account name, but don't do so until you've fixed your malware "issue."
2. Advertise elsewhere.

I just checked your website -- its still up and the warning from my Malwarebytes is still active. I'm not removing my posts about your project or negative trust rating. I doubt others will either.

When did cryptopia go into liquidation?  Says today but i can find any articles

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/
That den of thieves, haven't the coins moved since the key holder "died"?

Wait... Do you mean QuadrigaCX or did their CEO die too?
7445  Other / Meta / Re: How many posts I need to report to get a project using bumping bot down? + virus on: May 15, 2019, 03:16:20 PM
I've been reporting them too, they are slowly being handled (maybe mods are busy with plagiarism overloads).

Great minds think alike...

One of them even copy/pasted a comment shitting on them from earlier in the thread. I don't think English is their first language...

I mean... really. This is some lazy ass spam.

I got a PM from the manager:

Greetings.
I contact you from the OMNIS-BIT team. We are going to go through this situation and explain you everything we can about.
We was not aware about the presence of a miner or malware or whatever you found there in the site and personally I want to thank you for find it out. Our team is financing the project with our funds without any other help and we spent a lot, really a lot of money to realize the site, this project purpose is pure and we would NEVER scam our users for some Montero's after spending thousands of euros behind the project. We had problems with an old developer and we are suspecting that he is the one that putted the miner for himself. we are not even getting money from the project and we are badly scared about what is happening. we are going to put the site under maintenance and if needed rewrite the site itself.
Please, I invite you to contact me or others members or the team throught our telegram group to show you everything with transparency and clearance.
Thank for the attention
OMNIS-BIT

Still doesn't explain why they would hire spammers to bump their thread with nonsense.

Also, as far as my tag is concerned, I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt. Everyone always has an excuse. They should just start over with a new thread and account if they're serious.
7446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 15, 2019, 02:03:14 PM

Was cruising in the City last evening after playing... and saw this one, curious what kind of guy this would be....

Must be Nelson's car.

BTW congrats on the big Merit Source victory. Some people have been waiting 6 months or longer since they applied (makes me think they were probably passed on but theymos didn't have the heart to tell them).
7447  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bill Gator and OG not telling the whole truth. on: May 15, 2019, 01:46:29 PM
Irrelevant. The point is there is no other plausible explanation for Vod's behavior other than malicious intent.

Has nothing to do with Vod. I don't think you understand what the issue at hand is.

What crusade to get you tagged?

The one you're still on, apparently.

You were already tagged and I argued that others were just in doing so by standards you yourself advocate for.

You mean the iCEBREAKER tag? He was removed from DT, as were you. The community has voted against both of your judgments. That's not what I was talking about, however.

You hold others to those standards but you expect to be exempt yourself. How convenient. You embarrassed ME in Politics and Society? BWAHAHAHA, K. I guess that's why you needed to put me on ignore, because I was so embarrassed by your intellectual prowess! You had virtually no activity in P&S until you decided to follow me there to extend your circle jerk vendettas & try your luck, got spanked, and ran away crying, yes, talk about petty.

Right, a brilliant revision of history, unsurprisingly in your favor. Compelling. Doesn't explain why you felt the need to continue to sling shit in my Reputation thread though. Frankly I don't care. Feel free to write another one of your famous neverending rebuttals to this comment so you can have the last word. I'm out.

Thanks for the link, never knew about that website, will start using it from now on.

Weird how some things can get past VirusTotal -- its pretty comprehensive.

The website for this project launches mining malware when opened.

Do NOT visit website. This is a SCAM PROJECT.

This is a description of the https malware found in the website:

7450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Crypto Movie: Satoshi 11 (working title) on: May 15, 2019, 01:26:25 PM
For starters we'll conduct a Kickstarter campaign to raise a few thousand dollars for pen, paper and a typewriter.

Kickstarter campaign??! We'll obviously have to make our own ICO, complete with Ethereum token. Maybe we should make a pre ICO to gather funds to launch the real ICO as well.

synopsis:

5 scammers who lived in their parents' house, sit in a bar and drink beers, talk about how to become rich, and decide to search on google "how to make money on the internet" and come across bitcoin and ICOs, so they search about ICOs and decide to take advantage of the regulatory fragility that the crypto market has.

Create a website with fake team

Create a plagiarized whitepaper

They created a copy/paste project and stole 400 million dollars

I had an idea to make an obviously fake ICO, with a white paper comprised 90% from the bitcoin white paper, using A-list celebrities as team members. It sounded good in my head but I've been too busy to actually get around to doing it.
7451  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bill Gator and OG not telling the whole truth. on: May 15, 2019, 01:09:23 PM
This reminds me a lot of all of your negative ratings sent for account trading, yet when your buddy Nutilduhh was shown to have solicited their account for sale suddenly everyone needs to hold on a minute.

What you should have learned was that "unearthing" publicly-available information written three years ago is not necessarily grounds for a red trust. If you feel so strongly that it is, why haven't you left one for me yet? You're trying to claim uneven application of a "standard" that never existed.

Your whole crusade against me and movement to get me tagged began because you felt I embarrassed you in Politics & Society... I told you I was putting you on ignore and you immediately visited my trust history to look for dirt to dig on me. Fifteen minutes later you were smearing it around in my Reputation thread... Talk about petty  Roll Eyes

I have excluded you for red-trusting other users for sending merits

For the record, this was also my line of thinking, and I am open to changing my mind about it.

7454  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet STOLE my deposit! SCAM!!! on: May 15, 2019, 10:16:55 AM
Why did not you register your account with Game Protect and play with consumer protection service inclusive?

Because nobody would trust you to hold 2 beans for them.

@OP, here is the Cloudbet thread on the forum:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333552

They are very active in answering questions there. You should post a comment in that thread and get more information that way.

Probably a typo but hey Grin there might be an open slut!

Hi Hhampuz,

With the new wave of parm-ban going on the forum perhaps there might be an open slut, yes?
If available, I want in please. thanks Smiley

There's also a parm ban. No parmesan cheese anywhere on the forum. It smells too bad if left out in the sun.

Somehow I don't think he'll make the cut.

I was paying homage to a great man, I would be bringing his grave flowers if I could.

Well as you're not in a sig campaign, at least you're shitposting out of your own volition.
7456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Crypto Movie: Satoshi 11 (working title) on: May 14, 2019, 04:26:43 PM

I love the idea of Mel Brooks appearing at the very end of the movie alluding to the quasi-fact that he's Satoshi.

Yeah I mean who better to be a surprise Satoshi than a 91 year old Jewish man?

Hmm... Woody, Woody... OK I know: he's the President of the United States. Also a cameo. Maybe he bestows Vince Vaughn with a Medal of Honor at the end of the movie. Jeremy Piven isn't around anymore because he was offed by the Russian mafia.

VAQ is pronounced Vac as in Vacuum cleaner, sucking money from Investardz (pl. & sg.; a term actually used in the movie to refer to the marks/investors).

Got it. Sounds good. Let's make a script!
7457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 14, 2019, 03:09:54 PM
I spent half the night on RRT3 and I'm going to have to setup a DX8.1 VM for it. I had it running but after adjusting monitor overscan while the game was running the thing went bonkers and won't fire up without detecting directx 8.1. Fucking h8 DX games. I did get through the tutorial as a refresher before the crash though.

That's the one I used to play! It will be worth your troubles. Looking at that screenshot was like getting a distant whiff of crack. I already want to build a steel mill in Philadelphia. Nice company logo.
7458  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 14, 2019, 03:03:13 PM
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FUDSTERS DON'T POST THIS BULLCRAP ANYMORE!!!  Cool

Even if the details and the reasons might be off by a long shot, I do think a correction is coming.

When and how big is anybody's guess, but it is due. No bull run went straight to the top, ever.

In other words

We smell a pullback
coming around the coner
bullcrap or bearcrap?

I always have a spare merit for a good haiku.
7459  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: May 14, 2019, 02:45:12 PM
This is not only a shitpost but it's pretty tasteless and probably should be deleted. Worse than your typical Stake campaign posting. This was in Hal Finney's famous Bitcoin and Me thread.

Honestly I do not have patience to read this kind of long blog. But this kind of post is worth it to read. I hope all of will achieve what ge achieve. But I hope I am also still alive when get a success in crypto. I am now regreting that I did not believe in the first time that I met bitcoin  wayback 2013 because I have almost waste my 4years before I believe and start to do and invest here in bitcoin.

Then there's this guy who is trying to break some sort of shitposting record, posted a few weeks afterwards.

Thank you for sharing your story Mr. Finney
Take care Hal, Cya soon.

 Roll Eyes

Does he mean "cya soon" in the heavenly sense??

That thread should be locked so people can't defile it any more. Its like people who go to Jim Morrison's grave in Paris so they can spray paint it, but worse.
7460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Crypto Movie: Satoshi 11 (working title) on: May 14, 2019, 02:01:53 PM
I like it. If it's a comedy, the coin should have an unfortunate acronym / symbol, like VAG.

I want to do casting:

Vince Vaughn and Jeremy Piven as the project masterminds
Jon Hamm as the square SEC agent
Kevin Hart as the bad promoter / marketing director
Nick Nolte as the off-his-rocker CEO
Will Ferrell as the naive angel investor
Aubrey Plaza as the social media expert / Vince Vaughan love interest
Ben Stiller as the eccentric hacker
Owen Wilson as the smarmy spokesperson
Ken Jeong as the over-the-top Chinese stereotype investor
Kumail Nanjiani as the website developer / IT tech (also a stereotype but he resents it)

With cameos by

Tom Cruise - SEC director who unwittingly approves the project over Jon Hamms objections

Mel Brooks - Satoshi Nakamoto
