7441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you check crypto prices? on: August 08, 2019, 04:29:17 AM
I hate to say it but I do the checking every hour of the day, at least when I'm at home, and awake of course. The good thing when I'm not at home is that my mind can have a little rest from all these price monitoring, changing of orders, and reading of news about crypto. But still I simply can't take everything off my mind. I guess I'm a little bit addicted to this already, just like the rest apparently.
7442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Gold? on: August 08, 2019, 03:51:52 AM
Interesting article that talks about BTC vs Gold: https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/is-bitcoin-the-new-gold/

Thoughts? Gold is tangible and can be used for other things other than storing value... It's also been around for a much longer time...

Bitcoin may not be tangible but it could also be used in some other things aside from just a storage of value. It is primarily a currency, after all. The good thing about Bitcoin is that its value is appreciating faster than gold and other assets. The argument against it however is that Bitcoin is much unlike gold in that it does not have any tangible object which represents it. As other analysts would have it, Bitcoin does not have any intrinsic value. It does not represent anything in the physical world. But who cares about the physical object? The gold that we are also buying and selling right now are but nothing but numbers also, unless one is actually buying golden jewelries and gold bars.
7443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best solution to handle gambling addition, in a country. on: August 08, 2019, 03:22:48 AM
Considering the gambling addiction ratio in a country is increasing rapidly, what are the best possible solutions the citizens or government of that nation can implement to deal with the problem. Before you jump right into suggesting, the government should ban/tag gambling related activities as illegal in the country, you should understand that running away from a problem don't actually solve that problem. Beside proposing a ban on gambling only encourages the citizens of that nation to gamble illegally.
Anyway, I think banning the online gambling will help for a certain country to regulate the gambling addiction of the citizen. Well, it could be a possible 100 percent zero-gambling rate.

A ban on gambling will never make any country gambling-free. I am quite sure of it. It will only make gambling illegal, but still present. Not a great step for me. People who would like to gamble will always find a way.

I am a little confused with your response. Banning online gambling will result to possibly 100 percent zero-gambling rate? What about the so many gambling games that are not offered online? Gambling is not only offered online, right? We have physical casinos and gambling bars everywhere. What about them? Moreover, there are so many kinds of physical gambling games outside casinos such as horse race, lotteries, and so on.

Regulations are much better than blanket ban on gambling if you truly want to curb gambling addiction.
7444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Winning Streak in a Dice Game on: August 08, 2019, 02:12:41 AM
Wooah, for real? Your lucky then, before when I was still playing dice my winning streak in between 2-3 wins, honestly I got more loss than winning because for me dice is still about luck no matter what you do, you can’t win more.

Yeah, especially if you are rolling on a 50% chance. Someone is actually asking for a video or a photo about my winning streak. Sad that I haven't documented it that way. It was funny though, because anybody playing dice knows that winning streaks even longer than mine exist. Somebody here admitted reaching up to 15 consecutive wins, and mentioned of a primedice winning streak that went beyond 20.

As a matter of fact, such streak is not really that amazing at all if we also consider our losing streaks. Mine is more than 9. It's just that it was my first time winning that long and I was a bit overjoyed that I made this thread getting curious as to other dice players' experiences. Although same as you, I also got more losses than wins.
7445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anthony Pompliano holds 50% of Net Worth In Bitcoin on: August 07, 2019, 03:08:17 PM
On Aug 6th, Founder of the capital management firm Morgan Creek Antony Pompliano during an interview O’Leary asked Pomp how much he had invested in Bitcoin, Pomp responded that 50% of his net worth is in Bitcoin.

Will you believe in investing 50% on bitcoin?

Pomp is a guy who truly believes in Bitcoin. The man is simply putting his money where his mouth is. He shows intense passion in Bitcoin but stops short in being too aggressive to the point of appearing disagreeable. I like the way he remains calm and composed all the time in the midst of various tirades against Bitcoin.

Investing at least 50% in Bitcoin is happening to me right now. Let us be clear on it though, I am talking about investment; I am not talking about my net worth. For sure, I wouldn't put half of my little net worth in Bitcoin. That sounds very difficult in my situation right now. But in terms of my investment, Bitcoin holds at least 50% dominance. The rest are diversified not just within crypto but also somewhere else.

7447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey Tomorrow ask your boss if you can be paid in bitcoin. on: August 07, 2019, 11:41:19 AM
I`m serious, if you want to become non $laves.

yah fuck fiat, that $hit is $lavery $cam $cummy $ystem

My turn to ask you something, OP. I know you are serious about Bitcoin and more about fiat as a system of slavery. Which would you prefer, to get paid in Bitcoin or to get paid in fiat but double the amount?

For argument's sake, please do not answer me with I prefer fiat but I will use it to buy BTC.

7449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Becoming More Available? on: August 07, 2019, 11:01:02 AM
More available as in people can easily get access to it, yes. But it is one thing for Bitcoin to become accessible and quite another for Bitcoin to become affordable. People can easily have it in few hundreds or even thousand Satoshis. Before, a hundred BTC is almost worth nothing.

Bitcoin has become more available but less affordable these days.
7450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on a dog fight? on: August 07, 2019, 09:53:02 AM
I have bet on dog fight and ram and its Fun for me standing in the crowd and watching the dog fight for supremacy. We have adopted the culture of using animals for fight during festival period, and this festival attract many tourist around the globe. Although this is not a global adoption but depends on culture.

This should stop! Honestly, I don't think this is going to be justified by simply saying this is culture-based and so has to be respected because we are a multicultural world. We are a civilized world already. We do not take fun from the pain or even death of animals. This should be banned!

I will never bet, much less watch, dog fights! I'd rather watch and even bet big if its the owners who'll fight it out!
7451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: invest? gambling? or trade again? on: August 07, 2019, 09:24:39 AM
You better be investing that amount. You've just been recovering from a recent loss, you better do the right thing this time. $600 may not be the ideal amount for a Bitcoin investment. Altcoins are the better choices. You have ETH, LTC, XMR. Give $200 each of these solid altcoins. Leave them for a while and focus on your business. There is sure profit from it.

If you want to gamble or trade, do it next time and with smaller amounts. Do not forget to save some first for investment. Trading and gambling are not far from each other in terms of risks.

When you gamble soon, try it out at wolf.bet.  Wink
7452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are big leaders now opposing cryptocurrencies suddenly? on: August 07, 2019, 08:54:09 AM
Because they are really threatened today as never been before. Gone are the days when they could simply laugh it out and even jeer at Bitcoin as a nice experiment or a bubble or out of thin air. Today, they are seeing the reality that Bitcoin is unstoppable. They urgently have to say something that will push the USD up.

And if you add to this the very ambitious and most probably extremely disrupting grand plan of the Libra project, they must be very scared to the bones that their citizens might suddenly stop using their fiat currency one day.
7453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey Tomorrow ask your boss if you can be paid in bitcoin. on: August 07, 2019, 08:33:55 AM
Then ask your grocery store to accept it.

I`m serious, if you want to become non $laves.

I don't have a boss. But to many of my countrymen who are employed in a government or private office, most probably their boss does not have an inkling as to what Bitcoin really is. If at all, it is some kind of a scam or something used for illegal schemes.

The grocery stores do not know Bitcoin either.

The best way to do this is for Bitcoin supporters themselves to do the first step. Create stores and accept Bitcoin, hire staff with Bitcoin salary, accept tips and give rewards to loyal customers in Bitcoin. Bitcoin supporters will have to rally behind such business initiatives and flock there. Otherwise, the store beside you won't follow suit.
7454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: August 07, 2019, 08:03:43 AM
well Affiliate / Referral  is for me the most profitable strategy to earn on gambling. Too bad I am using that earnings to gamble so in the end i am still even.  Roll Eyes

For me, affiliate or referral is very difficult to do because there are a lot of things that I need to do before I can get people to join under me. I have experience in the past to use affiliate to promote some products, and I don't make much money from the affiliate system. But I think for other people if they can find one method to work, they can focus on expanding and promoting it to other people.
But that is not a betting strategy, affiliate has no risk at all as you are just promoting the gambling site and you'll earn a commission based on their rules in every gamblers that will sign up your link.

It depends on how you promote the site/spreading the referral link. There are some people risking money for affiliate program by making website, offering free money for referrals, etc. Indeed it cant be considered as betting, but something like investment to gain referrals. Some other people do it for free by spreading the link on social media, forum, free blog, etc so it is obviously no risk at all.

In other words, it is not gambling in its strict sense. Referral links have nothing to do with betting on a match, dice, roulette, poker, and so on. But if you want to stretch gambling to its broadest possible meaning, then anything that involves risk and uncertainty and which you are spending money on may be considered gambling. But that is not the kind of gambling we are talking about here.
7455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 07, 2019, 04:19:24 AM
I guess everybody has already contributed to what is missing. Except this one:

6. Don't ever commit the mistake of thinking that you can get back at the house for your loss.

For so many times I have made the decision to come back later or the following day to exact my revenge on the house for taking my money away. Little did I know that in so doing the house has already got the better of me the second time around.
7456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading Experts in Hindsight on: August 07, 2019, 03:48:27 AM
It is funny how people calling themselves cryptocurrency trading experts offer courses and seminars on cryptocurrency trading techniques and strategies. They will explain to you the current price by way of complicated charts and patterns that will look like the price today is something that can easily be predicted days or weeks or months ago.

Everything that happened to Bitcoin's price made very clear sense to them. In hindsight, that is. They can offer crystal clear explanations with conviction to the path Bitcoin's price tread. They would explain to you all the candles, red and green, and the whys of the spikes and the dumps and all the price movements according to the charts.

But they cannot say with significant certainty what the price is tomorrow, the following week, or the following month. They are experts in hindsight but not in foresight.

Beware of all these experts. They are good in making it appear as if the future price of Bitcoin is right there under your nose. And yet they are busy conducting classes for a few bucks per student.

7457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 07, 2019, 03:23:52 AM
I've lost big. Over the last two or three years, I've lost 60K in total. It was almost my entire savings.
It started out with a large investment in bitcoin when the price was about 13K.
When the price dropped to below 4K, I lost all hope after waiting forever and gambled it on bitcoin gambling sites trying to triple it up, just to make my money back.
I lost that and a lot more. Never imagined it turning out this way. Especially after the price went back up.
I don't have a lot of close people to turn to nowadays. It's hard to get through each day feeling horrible. Just needed to reach out somewhere.
Sorry if this isn't the place.

It's not too late, mate. If you were able to buy a good amount of Bitcoin at $13K in the past, you can afford it more today because the price is only around $11,500. You may start buying today with what is left from your savings. You said you only lost almost your entire savings.

I have heard an aphorism that goes like either you made the right thing or you have learned a lesson. It is rather sad though that most lessons in life have to be learned in a negative way. But I hope you have learned something very precious from it. Not just you but also me and a lot of the people in this community.

I guess you need to trim down on your emotion. It has obviously played a major role both in your reaction to the bear market and the decision to just gamble it away.
7458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Facebook’s Libra on: August 07, 2019, 02:23:12 AM
what do you think about the  Facebook’s Libra, could it be the future of altcoin? one thing always amuse me about Facebook's coin till today, there was a time Mark never supported Crypto and now Lauching coin

It is not only Mark Zuckerberg who flip-flops regarding his stand on cryptocurrency. Jamie Dimon has made it earlier in the grandest of ways.

Regarding Libra, it is wrong to just treat it as a mere altcoin along with the rest. It would be more apt to classify it together with USDT and other stablecoins. It is not like many of the altcoins in that its value will not be rising and falling all the time. Libra is going to be as stable as the USD.

The support surrounding Libra is enormous so somehow we can say that this could be the future of the stablecoins. I am not talking about the support coming from the regulators of course. They are the hindrance on the contrary. I am talking about the most popular companies we have in the world right now. Facebook has uber, Visa, Spotify, eBay, and many more behind its back.

Ang Bybit kasi parang BitMEX to eh. Maaari kang gumamit hanggang 100x na leverage sa Bybit.

Ang mahalagang paalala pagdating sa leveraged trading is that it is very risky yet attractive.

Good luck sa pagpili, paps. Hindi ko alam ang basis mo sa paglipat pero para sa akin you better stick to Binance.
