7461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Crypto experience on: October 08, 2017, 02:04:58 PM
Yes, that is true one can make money from icos as well as lose money too. But OP, this is a cheap smokescreen publicity for PAX. It could only point to one thing and that is either PAX is your project or you own a major stake in it. There are numerous ICOs coming up or already on like hextracoin and Westerncoin. You should have included them and told us why we should buy or not    buy them. Nice try OP but it is a bad try.
7462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How profitable are doing bounties? on: October 08, 2017, 07:49:57 AM
I feel like quitting my job and doing bounties full-time, but I am not sure how influential I will be and also how much can I expect to earn shilling multiple coins a month. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Yes, you can quit your slavery job and get engaged full time in cryptos. Why not? However, it won't mean you will have to solely depend on bounties. You will have to diversify into cryptocurrency trading, ICOs and every other businesses related to it. You won't make much depending on signature campaign and bounties alone even as a high ranking member because you may not be getti them on regular basis.
7463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fork time / bloody october? on: October 08, 2017, 04:37:05 AM
Is this the beginning? How do you prepare your investments...?  Huh Huh Huh

The beginning of what?

Your account history shows it was opened on July 15. It means you witnessed the August 1 fork then. You know we all survived it. So, why the apprehension now with this purported upcoming fork, OP? You may want to edit the thread topic not to sound questionably alarmist.
7464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchanges Coinbase, Bitfinex Issue Guidance Before SegWit2X Hard Fork on: October 08, 2017, 04:17:13 AM
Wow thank you for this. By this post we can see that we can store our btc's in these exchangers before the new segwit. So we just need to sned our btc fund in one of these exchangers so that we can earn free btc yey.

This is where technicality comes in. If you are not a tech guy (like me), I would advise you stay away from it. Just make sure your btc is in a safe wallet. That was how a dude in this forum lost a whopping 45.8btc in his bid to earn the free and newly forked BCH in August. Yes! Dude lost that big. He mistakenly transferred all that to a phishing Electrum site. His Bitcoin gone forever.
7465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoins: Is it possible in th future? on: October 08, 2017, 03:22:16 AM
The very essence of Bitcoin is to put control of your money into your hands, you are your own bank. To suggest Bitcoin and banks is to throw that all away, they would have control of your coins, and they could track all your purchases which kills the anonymity of Bitcoin.

This is painfully true. That synergy may kill the anonymity of the bitcoin. But then, can Bitcoin truly advance further without the banks? Already most transactions involving the Bitcoin are done through the banks. In Africa, you must convert to fiat before feeling the impact if Bitcoin. It isn't possible yet to do a direct buy of goods with Bitcoin here in Africa. On the deposit and withdrawal thing, it's going to take another technology to come by since Bitcoin is a virtual thing and not physical like dollar or euros.
7466  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin Price So Fluctuating? on: October 07, 2017, 03:00:12 PM
Even the fiat (paper money) the OP mentioned does fluctuates. If in doubt ask those who trade forex. The Dollar, Euros or Pounds Sterling does not remain same in value even for a single hour. It goes up and down like the btc. The only difference is that one can trade them while they retrace downward and make profit unlike the btc that is a one-way traffic. Price fluctuations are part of necessary market dynamism.
7467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading dilemma on: October 07, 2017, 01:52:48 PM
I bought my btc - DGB for a price of 0.00000693 last August and I'm trying to sell it for 0.00000800 for I hope that the btc will rise this September but I guess I was wrong - It's kinda frustrating to be honest.
To all my fellow traders out there, Does the price of the bitcoin is bothering you - what are plans ? will you sell or wait?

Honestly, regrets are for failures and the weak minded fellows. Once we take a decision we should just move on. OP, you either sell off now to get your fund or allow it tarry and tie down your capital. The choice is yours to make. Maybe you bought high but don't beat yourself hard. We can only know that we took a wrong decision from hindsight and not before it. Do you think if Satoshi knew bitcoin would be this big that he would have launched it for less than $1? Certainly, I don't think so. And yes, I do care whenever the price if bitcoin fluctuates. I am a swing trader.
7468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: October 07, 2017, 10:07:32 AM
We don't even know whether to deal with the scam many of these ICOs end up with or the frustration encountered while trying to acquire the coins. Hextracoin is one hell of a frustrating ICO I have ever come across. It is only opened to the public at a certain time of the day with a mere 300,000 coins allotted which usually sells out within a few minutes. To make matter worse, the sites always crash at this time because of traffic which the site can't cope with. The devs won't even allow us withdraw back out already sent btc from the site. I advise everyone to stay away from them for now.
7469  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin loss? on: October 07, 2017, 06:56:56 AM
One thing always came on my mind when I entered the world of Bitcoin.
Fiat are issued with registered numbers and recycles in the name of new currency, making the old obsolete.
i.e. They never get destroyed even if the physical notes gets burned and decayed.

But bitcoin are totally different, they can be lost
- sending to unsupported address
- loosing private keys
- people dying with private keys, etc.
Which will keep on decreasing the total available supply of the coin. making it more scarce.
Won't that bring a problem the the economics, no coins left to trade situations?

Your last question though isn't going to happen. There will always be some coins to trade with. All 21million coins can't be lost. Not possible. But before the other worries you raised become a nagging problem the issue would've be taken care of. I see a possibility of countries harnassing the blockchain technology into their financial systems and making Bitcoin holders keep records of transactions through the banks. Yes, this will happen in the near future as countries embrace Bitcoin as legal tender.
7470  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bought Account on: October 07, 2017, 03:24:14 AM
While not sounding a moralist here (Although it shouldn't be a bad idea), I believe this issue of buying an account is being treated with kids gloves. Its sole purpose is deceit either for the aim of getting into Sig campaigns or earning trust. Noobs seem to believe that comments from high ranking members are informed contributions. I believed that as a noob. And this is also why campaigns pay different rates for ranks as comment values differ. Now, just imagine a noob buying a Legendary account. This deceit should be weeded out at once.
7471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CASH is probably DYING on: October 07, 2017, 02:16:39 AM

Many holders never realized that BCH was a flash in the pan and all for the money so they still held on to it hoping it would overtake BTC, especially when it skyrocketed to over $800. Many now leak their wounds for still keeping that shitty coin.EDA was a wasted idea. It was obvious from day one that there was a orob with BCH hashing. I also see the same thing happening to the new coin that will be birthed from the November fork.
7472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good news to bitcoin traders. on: October 06, 2017, 06:48:58 PM
"Chinese government said it is impossible to ban bitcoin that they are just trying to regulate it and they actions should benefits blockchain" https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6zzmyy/official_press_of_china_it_is_impossible_to_ban/ for fundamental analysis traders, the best time to buy bitcoin is now as this is the best significant news that come from China after the banned of ico and the fake news or rumor of banned of cryptocurrency exchangers in China.

That excitement was momentary and it has been overtaken by real events. After the ICOs were banned and the exchanges in China asked to close shops, the price of Bitcoin plummetted. That was expected. The panic sell was evident everywhere. Nevertheless, Bitcoin has since dusted itself from that to make a bullish run. With this, it is apparent that no single person or country can control the activities of Bitcoin and that the Chinese will surely regret this action of theirs a few years from now.
7473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for ICO ready to moon! on: October 06, 2017, 11:32:05 AM
OP, your search should take you to hextracoin. Its ICO just began and 300,000 coins mapped out for daily sales are always sold out within mins. It is a lending coin like bitconnect and regalcoin. You may want to check it up here www.hextracoin.co
7474  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are you planning till November Harfork?? on: October 06, 2017, 10:24:19 AM
Harfork? Isn't it hardfork anymore? Rolls eyes. Anyway, going by the experience of August 1 Bitcoincash birth, I don't expect much drama in the coming November fork. Only that people could lose their btc while trying to move them from wallet to wallet just to acquire bounties from the new coin that will launch. Also, there could be a price jump of the new coin as was with Bitcoincash because of hype and expectations. My advice to OP should be to hodl hIs Bitcoin and not panic.
7475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: October 06, 2017, 09:39:58 AM
i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin?  Huh

Your last sentence which I bolded should be treated as a rhetorical question because that is where the direction you seek lies. Go for cheap altcoins with rising potential. Bitcoin is overrated!
7476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxless and free society? on: October 05, 2017, 08:09:59 PM
Roger Ver is announcing that he's working together with a team to build a completely free society by buying off land in US/Europe or Asia.

Live stream was here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSF52B90xws

What do you think, can this new country be born? Could we move there in 2-3 years? Would you be interested?
This is utopia and it is not possible because no society ever survives without the citizenry giving back as tax to the government. How is the government going to survive without that. Except OP is saying the scenario exists without any known jurisdiction and in a state of no law?
7477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization bitcoin on: October 05, 2017, 07:08:55 PM
when will legalization bitcoin? why this does not happen? are there any countries that have legalized bitcoin?
or already somehow now it is possible to legalize the income received from Bitcoin?

Sorry to point out that such a question like this isn't what we should expect from a high ranking member of this forum who should have been old enough here to know the goings on in the cryptosystem. Of course, bitcoin is just outlawed in China and a few others but generally speaking it is legal to use bitcoin in more countries than we can count.
7478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 05, 2017, 06:43:16 PM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!

No! Don't do that. It is not only with bitcoin. Even with any kind of business it is highly not recommended business-wise to put all of one's money in just one business venture. Haven't you heard this expression, " don't put all your eggs in one basket" before now? Try to spread it across bitcoin and other cryptos, offline business like shops, keep some in the bank. If you like forex trading, why not?
7479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fork on: October 05, 2017, 03:59:32 PM
That is why we should be very careful on this fork because a lot of phishing sites will come up like they did during the August 1 fork. Someone here lost 45.8btc to scamming site for that fork. But OP, you don't sound like a Newbie with all the insights you just shared here. You are really thorough with your suggestion and that is a good observation.
7480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adult Coins on: October 05, 2017, 03:15:29 PM
Adult sites do not have anything new to offer. The world itself is already saturated with porn and sex is easily on the streets nowadays. Nothing new! No innovation, except to dress and undress. Even here in Africa it is nothing special anymore to see nudity. The world needs something that can propel it in terms of advancement. For business sakes, I don't think investors will have the profit they seek by investing in it. And for morality sakes, I hope I am able to dictate such coins so I avoid them like a plague. Wasted venture!
