7481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Creditor’s Outraged Again, Meeting Scheduled with Mt. Gox in Japan on: July 09, 2014, 08:59:08 PM
I'm pretty sure that Mark Karpeles will be the star of his own episode of "American Greed" one day in the future...

I'll admit Karpeles might make an interesting character on Survivor I haven't seen American Greed but it seems like an appropriate fit.

The silence from the Liquidator has been deafening. Despite a deadline of November 28, 2014.
Must be pushing for a last minute submission to narrow the field

This article is interesting it needed more spacing though

It is an investigative journalism show where each week they profile a person that has made a fortune based off of some sort of scam, ponzi, market manipulation, etc.   It shows their rise to wealth, and ultimately their plummet to the bottom.   Most of them end up showing the person ending up in federal prison (which Karpeles appears to be avoiding).

Nice so a sting series kind of Like Border Patrol, or COP's if someone remembers that series.
Anyways Karperles may be avoiding it for now and should enjoy the freedom he has left but he will have to serve time for it eventually.
Still I think he would make a good Survivor character, the nefarious business dealer who people trust then runs away with the Tiki of Protection lol or some sort of similar objects Smiley.

Goal-less first half..! a boiling second half is waiting..

I think that this match will end in 0-0 and will go to extra time maybe penalties, both teams looking awful in the attack.

I think they learned from Yesterdays game to play extremely defensive in order to avoid an embarrassing result like with Brazil and Germany
Makes for a quiet game but yes we are going into ET
7483  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: July 09, 2014, 08:34:39 PM
This game looks normal compared to Yesterday
Between the two teams the gameplay so far seems fairly even with the ball switching between sides normally
Yes but possession is still in Argentina's favour and they looking much better then Dutch team Hope they have some good shots on target in good time

True enough but it's not a breakaway, that Brazil Germany game set the bar too high/low whatever you would call it.
Although I think your right Argentina has a little more possession and shots at the moment at the net than the Netherlands do.

Well at the least something is trickling in for some members
Not really a professional way to handle this though especially given the I/A
Good luck to all involved here.

7486  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-08] 5,000 Terminals Across Ukraine Now Offer Bitcoin for Cash on: July 08, 2014, 11:06:51 PM
That sounds nice but isn't there a civil war going on
I guess in a sense we can say 5000 Terminals destroyed ...

But its nice
The machines, known as BNK-24 terminals, also allow users to pay utility bills and purchase mobile phone credit, among other functions.

With the lack of stability it is good that people will not need to worry about losing their money as easily.

Young Ukrainians are used to buying goods from [online] shops abroad, for example, in China. If someone needs to pay $100 for a buggy for his child, he needs to pay about $40 for SWIFT payments and spend half the day at the bank. We’ve opened a window to the world to help people survive,” he said

@Swordsoffreedom, got .3922 from webarchive, here:

More than one tranche?  Thanks.

Hmm let me check again the IPO Page which I based it off said 0.64

http://depositfiles.com/files/xufm7ut77

The Archive Download works too strange
http://web.archive.org/web/20130702162325/https://www.havelockinvestments.com/fund.php?symbol=VTX&action=getofferings

Edit In: I think your right actually since that was what was listed there although the one that virtex put in the IPO sheet was recorded higher
They must have adjusted down back then
Guess keep the original and assume that was the correct value.

It was the whole approach to the game. The Brazilians didn't bring everything to this match. I mean, just look at the lack of yellow cards.

I think they just lost the will to fight after 20 some minutes in the game
Too many goals at one time although your right It would have been better if Brazil went in fighting to the end
They did start with a strong offensive in the second half but then lost that spirit by the midpoint of it.
7490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada's New Bitcoin Law on: July 08, 2014, 10:44:49 PM
Just dice shut down because of this law?

Yes they did shut down because of this new law
Can be considered the first official casualty of this new change in regulations
7491  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: July 08, 2014, 10:42:45 PM
Without Neymar, it was pretty obvious they had no chance. It wasn't obvious, though, that it would end up so bad.

No, it was not Neymar who was missing, the fifa.com article got it right:

"Most of the pre-match coverage had focused on the impact of Neymar's absence but, once the game got underway, it was clear that Thiago Silva - Brazil's captain and defensive rock - was the man they would miss most. Without him, A Seleção's defending was shambolic, with Germany seemingly able to slice their way through at will."

That's true was going to agree and say yes it was Neymar who was missing that mattered but Herz brought up a good point without Thiago Silva their captain and defensive key player the Brazilian defense was easy to break through and the defense just kept crumbling.

7493  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ross Ulbricht 140k bitcoins potential auction and market crash in future. on: July 08, 2014, 10:36:52 PM
Does Dread Pirate Roberts stand a chance?

I would say small and getting smaller as the legal regulations around Bitcoin are getting put into place
The only chance he has to win this is if he can argue its his right to give out the Private Key and they stole it from him unfairly lol.

That won't exonerate him from the drugs related charges.

Yah he is pretty pawned, the US treats Bitcoin as legitimate property now that is sellable which they proved with the Silk Road Auction so they have pretty much already proven that it is an asset of theirs, and Ross would lose the legal case that he was planning on arguing about it not being recognized as having value so pretty boned.

I guess you can be rich and then lose it all lol.
7494  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: July 08, 2014, 10:34:45 PM
Argentina 0  Netherlands 9

and it would be the funniest world cup in the history  Cheesy  Cheesy

That would scare me I would say what the heck happened here
Although that's already happened once for me today so having two blue moons in a row would be something else
Expecting a normal game guys ! lol
7495  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying the Network Effect - People accept $.01/hr to run possible malware on: July 08, 2014, 10:28:50 PM
Personally I've never and will never download anything from Brothersoft. Even though it's a fairly large and supposedly legit site. The amount of misleading advertising they use makes me distrust them immediately. If they're willing to do all that, who's to say that they wouldn't throw malware/spyware/adware in one of those files?

I'm with you on that one, I personally don't use Brothersoft myself and look for alternatives
It's one of those places of last resort if you need to get a document
That said some of the download file sharing sites have files that are only uploaded in one location at times and those are the ones where you run into the wall of download screens lol...

Well if its not in the Jdownloader loading script (Again not including those who know how to use Java XD)
But the normal users Smiley

7497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will apply for a Guinness record on: July 08, 2014, 10:16:41 PM
Bitcoin and Guinness records ?  Shocked And it's just the beginning...

Hmm what records are they applying for
Largest Digital currency or largest transaction launched virtually?
Although I guess they win most people using SHA256
7498  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does Kurd deserve their own country ? on: July 08, 2014, 10:15:40 PM
So do I they would need a person who can tactically strategize and balance the Kurds interests in a fairly unstable part of the world
Of course they would need to convince the Iranian's to break apart or move to autonomy as well.
As for the Shias they can handle them if they keep the army and border secure.

i think first they need to have reasonable objective, like independent Iraq Kurdistan.

It's a step by step basis first ask for independent autonomy from Iraq then move onto independent province/territory then leave the country and become an independent nation.
