Besides the "1 Merit to reach Jr. Member rank" requirement, which made account farming bots useless, I think the reason for declining posts is due to the fact that participating in bounties has become unappealing. The payouts in tokens from signature bounties are often not worth the effort anymore. Investing a lot of time to reach the weekly posting count does not stand in relation to getting tokens worth a few bucks.

Bin echt gespannt was hier ein Steuerberater dazu sagt!

I think I have some symptoms of crypto addiction at the end of last year, but now with the price of crypto falling, crypto is now only a small part of my life.
This fits me and a lot of my friends, too. About a year ago there was only one topic when we met: cryptos. We even had whatsapp groups dedicated to cryptos and price talks with hundreds of messages per week. Nowadays, no one talks about cryptos anymore, the whatsapp chat is silent and none of my friends invest any more money.

Depends on your mindset. If you see crypto investments as long term investments (10+ years) such price movements dont really matter. Take a look at where BTC was about 5 years ago and where it is now.

You have to be careful that you dont mix up unsuccesful projects with projects which really want to scam their investors. "90% of ICOs are scam" is simply not true, 90% of ICOs dont reach their targets, fail to launch they projects, run out of funds etc., but a minority of them has the intention to scam people.

Danke für den Hinweis!

Its the same pattern as with emails. One of the first attack of its kind was "iloveyou" where you got an email with an attachment saying "iloveyou". Almost everyone I know had this virus due to the simple fact that they clicked and downloaded the attachment without being aware of such attacks.

I wouldnt trust any software wallet again. Just take a look at the bugs electrum had in the span of a year, almost any of those bugs could have led to losing your coins.
If you really want to store your coins safely you will have to buy a hardware wallet.

If you mean it's not traded, it's because those project have have no real value, maybe scam and just want to get fiat via ICO. They can't apply for dex exchanges and people don't want to trade it on cex exchanges. Bad projects like those have many sell orders with almost zero values on cex but there are no buy order, no trade made yet. Stay away from them.
Thats just one reason out of a lot. For example have a look at the verity project. Very active with a huge userbase, but their coin isnt traded on common exchanges. The reason is the team wants to focus on developing their product and currently have no interested in trades of the token.

It may end very badly for people who got caught by the media hype and invested (lend) money they cant afford to lose, yes. But this has nothing to do with bitcoin and its technology, which already started to change the world.

Thanks! In this case OP please wipe your entire desktop installation. Chances are really high that you not only lose ETH but sensitive data, too.

Does anyone know how this "virus" works? I cant really imagine how it is possible to automatically transfer funds without specific compromised wallets/browsersites etc?

May be every trader is just waiting that when there will be a move I will start trading. Let's see and wait for that first trader.
What moves are you waiting for? We had a massive move downwards the last 48h, plenty of chances to make a huge amount of money!

Thanks for sharing! I wanted to add that those early dumps didnt have any impact in the news, no mainstream media covered them. Additionally, the marketcap wasnt nowhere comparable to nowadays, so you need way more money to start a bull run than you did in 2015/2016 eg. Both points combined make me wonder if we ever see such runs again.

There are lots of great but still rather small projects with real world usecases of the blockchain beside payments. Agent not needed, Hydrogen, PowerLedger,... just to name a few. All of them started their business in 2017/2018, so I am sure there will be a lot of successful blockchain projects in the next 5-10 years.

Like @mjglqw said, try to back your message and dates with appropriate statements or the posting isnt worth your effort. Reminds me of all those people shouting "6k is a massive resistance, it wont fall" ... and fell in a matter of seconds.

|
|
What do you mean with delay? My orders at bitfinex are getting placed rapidly (I am definitly not talking about seconds), even via their mobile app!

|
|
What you mentioned doesnt depend on the exchanges, its the market itself. Pump and dump happens in any market, but due to missing regulations this pattern is very common in the crypto market.
