if you have courage you will wait and hope to support lower prices.

i was a coward and went all in.

such shame

Why not buy now AND later? Honestly, I just keep throwing the same amount of fiat at BTC every month without concern for timing the market.

not much fun.... but better then panicking on every swing

for me the fun is watching the story unfold, talking about it here, while placing bets on the market.

also i mean look at the post above... this is no joke, wall street is seriously trying to step into this market in a big way and fucking with us, this for real, yelling about it here is invigorating!

love it  Grin

people need to know....

these guys don't know the true meaning of evil till we fuck them

its time to get mad and screw them!

much like when we rallied against priate40, when he tired to fuck with us.

we must once again ban together once again and cast out the evil that has been lurking

together we can be strong! together make them pay for what they have done

get mad and buy your heart out.

lets show the world how little we care about the their "money"

This is what we have been waiting for this is it boys this is WAR

BUY!

Premature. I thought we had hit the bottom last time... then the second I bought in (literally the second) there was the flash crash.

525 is an important resistance point. Also, keep in mind that we have Ethereum further dumping still scheduled, some douchebag who is obviously manipulating the market to bring on cascades, and retailers coming to the end of the week and perhaps fearing a catastrophic outcome (they might be more willing to just write off a 15% loss than play the gamble of holding). Finally, there is no volume on this bounce back.

Hence, this strikes me as a trap. I might also be saying that, though, because I fell for the last trap. I am starting to realize that I am out of my depth playing a card game with a guy outside a shop in New York.

i see it too... i feel it in my BONES
they are manipulating
they are dragging us down.
they are making less seasoned bitcoiners sell out of fear...
they will pay for this.
they will pay of this in BTC!

step 1 figure out what wall street is doing
step 2 fuck them
step 3 enjoy worldwide prosperity and freedom

7489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 15, 2014, 01:15:04 AM
first time posting in speculation, many interesting predictions here lol.

but i voted hold, as I'm not too concerned with the price swings at this point in time (although i would love to see them higher obviously). i believe bitcoin is just entering it's first real growth stage, as so much investment capital is being poured into startups, potential ETF looming, large companies accepting btc, and a continually improving user experience to buy/sell/store/manage btc. i've invested money i can afford to lose, and intend to hold my btc in cold storage for at least a few years, unless there becomes a critical reason to abandon hope.

at which point market price will be 0 immediately, so no use worrying about that, to the moon!
7490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 15, 2014, 12:43:45 AM
Let's see if I can become a guru ;-)

let see if i still lost it ( i had it for a little while ... )

price will be >= 550 when i wake up. (in ~12hours)
7491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: August 15, 2014, 12:24:04 AM

could you explain briefly how those circles work? it looks like anyone could just draw those no matter the chart and they would work??

YUP!
its that easy
draw circles around what is clearly consolidation periods after price spikes, and you reveal an interesting piece of info.
7492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin BULL/Rally Forming? on: August 15, 2014, 12:14:49 AM
When bitcoin hit 600, it was a bull trap.

Expecting the price to hit 400 or lower in 2-3 weeks.

when price rebound from 400 to 900 that was a bull trap.

the overshoot to 680 and now crash back down to 500 is consolidation.

the big question isn't whether it drops lower, rough limits have been established and tested, you have to have some really distorted market view to think price can easily go much lower.

the question is will another 10X increase fallow this consolidation like every other time...

i've been hearing people say they don't expect 10X this time around, more like 3-5X.

i blame the normalcy bias....

price is gana go 100X this time, can no one see what happening in the world today?

COME ON PEOPLE!

how many times did you say to yourself, if they accept bitcoin this would be much easier, and benefit both me the buyer and them the seller.

now i'm going to figure out how to place an order on alibaba and send money to china without encountering a 25% fee from WU

fucking bank wires across borders, how do they work? and why do they cost so much?

Seems simple enough!

I really dont care anymore for some late ebay, amayon or other merchant adoption.
as far as I am concerned, all merchants adopting btc are late. it makes no sense to pay something with btc.

yes all merchants should have adopted it back in 2011-2013 when there was complete total uncertainty for bitcoin legitimacy / future.
Gotta quote that.

mehehe yea wtf adam?! what uncertainty? thought you never doubt it? ^^

back in those days all i could say is, I Believe bitcoin is legitimate,  I Believe bitcoin has a future

now i can simply say, bitcoin is legitimate, bitcoin has a future.

One of the titans must fall this year: ebay, facebook, amazon, google.

I hope it's this year. If it's not, it's next year, unless it's not.

facebook and google do not really offer much in the way of services to common people, at least not one where you'd need to make a transaction.

amazon has shown little interest in accepting bitcoin, and ebay would be competing against itself (paypal).

amazon is seriously retarded.

they operate a very low margin business, have known about bitcoin for a long time, and still don't accept bitcoin, do they not understand the benefits, are they retarded?

yes, yes they are

retarded!
7496  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 14, 2014, 11:01:36 PM
And breaking news-  Ebay subsidiary discussing accepting Bitcoin.

Could it be that someone knew this was going to be announced and was playing with the price a bit to get some cheap coins?  I often wonder about these things.

http://newsbtc.com/2014/08/14/ebay-subsidiary-braintree-said-discussing-accepting-bitcoin-payments/

Sweet... more potential merchant adoption. You know what that means? Price drop imminent!  Grin

i think that logic will end up biting you in the ass.

but it does seem correct....
7497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 14, 2014, 10:53:56 PM
ouch @adam

never go all in!

These drops are so much more "bear"able (lol) if you always have a little fiat on the sidelines.

i did that for a long time...

then i throw the last remaining fiat in, not much higher than here ( i did get the bid filled on a low, it just went lower... )

I think i did good.
7498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 14, 2014, 10:29:52 PM
