7501  Economy / Speculation / Re: Downward Trend on: June 30, 2019, 11:33:21 PM
Going down for some days does not make it a trend.    Its reset back to a positive trend, thats the correct perspective.   It has to break below a positive uptrend line to begin talk of this downward trend even being a possible

Heres my view and I wont bother on detail so much but the white line is upwards and in my guess its indicative of a price trend positive over months.   The longer you can draw a trend, the stronger it is and harder to break.   Thats the backbone to the positive prices, it has two strands at least, we barely touched the first so far   [to be fair its challenging but I suppose thats normal, imo it should anyway be between each strand not above]
7502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 30, 2019, 09:34:36 PM
Cohesive argument there, I prefer Jim Rickards take which is that anything can be used as money however the quality varies considerably.   Much as I might dislike what is going on with politics and its influence on common peoples cash notes, it is still money and used as such

I'll post the tiniest chart there ever was, just looking for direction in Sunday night open.

Strength above blue, some weakness if market can close below 11111 on 4hr or daily bar ideally.  This is last weeks test and blue line is momentum

No I think its legit, Im not vouching for it or that you get great value or anything but everything I've read on them pans out as in line with UK legislation that I'm familiar with and the last example I posted above or similar.
The other thread was a copy cat scam and identified by a few old hands as such a few times, someone marked it with a warning popping up every time it was viewed.  It was pretty clear, if I had the ear of a mod I would have asked them to just lock and archive the thread out of sight as a few minor points stood out as illegitimate.

Also if you have doubts on this one, a simple thing you can do is take the free entry option possible via post.   Then if you are more confident, take an entry via BTC while its on a high seems reasonable imo
7504  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for USA amazon reviewers on: June 30, 2019, 01:27:13 AM
I got offered this for UK amazon but they wanted me to buy it and then receive a discount.   Took a look but wasnt super wanting the actual product to risk it.    Due to location I doubt I can help with USA review ( Im a amazon.com purchaser but only digital) unless its a digital product but I have friends in USA who would be interested if it were a reliable line of work possibly.
Im curious what the actual item is now O_O

I said I would report back any similar contests I see news on and here is one for a £2m flat which did not sell enough tickets.    People arent happy as the cash prize actually drawn in the lotto was just 53k and the organisers gave themselves 120k in costs

https://metro.co.uk/2019/06/29/owners-refuse-hand-2000000-kensington-flat-raffle-raised-just-227000-10090309/

It doesnt say how many tickets they sold so I dont know if they gave a reasonable return but seems unlikely.   The problem with a flat is its a more specific type of sale then a large open house with pool etc. that could be someones dream residance.    A flat in London is often a requirement for people in jobs based there hence why the price is high, outside London people might prefer the big open house without the traffic of built up cities.

Seems an elementary mistake to me!
7506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Royal ramble in the casino on: June 28, 2019, 09:09:08 PM
Go into the gamble with the knowledge risk means possible loss, so every penny you take in can be lost in theory.   We hope for better but if we start off with a low expectation then its all up hill to that final win and cashout.   If the money taken in is lost, then it should be money not needed and used for entertainment like spending anywhere.     Even on a loss, playing the tables is more healthy then spilling your guts after too much drink; its all relative.
7507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hospital That Treats Bitcoin Gambling Addicts? on: June 28, 2019, 08:59:26 PM
How is cryptocurrency trading gambling? I don't think it is.

Trading can be very close to gambling if the risks are undefined especially by the participant.   If they operate with no limits on their losses, borrow or use up money from real life activities just to pour into crypto trading then its very close to what could be described as problem gambling.

Theres nothing against normal use of casinos while staying sensible with amounts, the biggest problem almost always comes when people cannot control their money supply to a bad habit.   Then its out of control and help is needed to get back onto a positive track.
It doesnt really count against crypto, people can become addicted to many otherwise positive activities.
7508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018 on: June 28, 2019, 08:38:11 PM
Im thinking is the smart hedge to gambling large amounts of BTC to also set a small leverage BTC position in times like Decemeber 2018 when the price is beat up and everyone is gloomy.   Then you are risking BTC which may end up worth half as much, not a big deal but also this hedge allows you to possibly recover in future June 2019 from the lost BTC of six months previous.

Its not saving, its a side bet and a kind of counter to this kind of question of oh no I lost **** large amount of BTC.    If it kept going down in worth nobody would moan as much, we all got regrets when it goes up alot and we paid, spent or lost BTC previous as lower values.
7509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Justin Bieber VS Tom Cruise - UFC Fight on: June 28, 2019, 08:23:40 PM
Tom Cruise is proud of doing all his own stunts, its not unfeasible he could consider defending his honour in the ring on this at least for charity I could guess it going ahead.    It might enhance his imagine and allow him to continue to stay current in the traditional action man role he favours most.

On the question of is it physically viable, then yea I believe so and I would cite the case of George Edward Foreman who after being retired from the highest tier heavyweight world championship bouts came back to be a world champion while drawing near to 50 years of age.
Nobody would have predicted that possible but sometimes experience and skill counts considerably.     Im not saying Tom Cruise is this superior kind of athlete and he is wrong side of 50 by a ways but its not unfeasible for him to defend himself on this question and imo win.
7510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) on: June 28, 2019, 07:57:13 PM

he is great guy but legend??? why??? because he received bitcoins from the team of satoshi

You are stepping on the good name of a man who can no longer defend himself, its not a good look to be honest.    Really I dont think it is the case that he was purely a recipient of Bitcoins, his influence predates Bitcoin as he was involved in PGP a long time prior.    The creator of PGP was criminally investigated as it was disruptive technology.
To me the story for Bitcoin as an answer goes way back to questions asked long before its inception and Hal Finney was part of that.   The legal repercussions of ground breaking software changing the world and the kickback to those inventors and innovators helps explain our on going mythic Satoshi Nakamoto phenomena and why people might not reply to you directly but this does not make you correct in any assumptions.

7511  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the Effing Hell is Going On!?!?! on: June 28, 2019, 02:05:59 AM
Higher price tends to bring in new faces, new names and speculators because its a hot stock.     It could be a positive thing for BTC to attract such attention but really its the long term factors that matter most, there is a natural froth type action and that also explains why it can pull back at least as much again.

I will attempt to address Hell and extrapolate exactly what is going on, of course with such a rapid situation much attention is required and rapid adjustment.   Right this moment, I'm forced to be bullish because we attempted to close below some support and it failed to achieve this so we go back up.

Every time I ignore a touch of support like that I regret it as within a day its off to the races again.   However I do find the Asia trading hours such as now do tend to be more bullish then the rest of the world.  Again thats just my impression.

A quick snippet of my graph and an attempt to show how we have failed in an attempt to break downwards, hence remain bullish it would seem most likely.   For anyone who dont like charts, just notice the long pins and we 'bounce' above white (also blue) line.   Takes 24hr to really soak in maybe
7512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why was $13,800 unsustainable? on: June 28, 2019, 01:39:58 AM
I agree with that, the easiest thing to do is follow the trend so as of the last few months thats been entries long.   I made small trades short that rarely make much even when correct because price keeps checking back up higher.   Even if it falls harder you have to be present at that moment really

Ever thought about all the people who got burned during the last $10k-$19k?
Yes a boatload of people will be wanting to get off this rocket even at break-even...

The majority of volume for people involved going back to 2017 was still sub 10k.   The rise above that was rapid and hence involved less people.   It could be said now we rise higher more easily because of that.
I really did expect far more people to be in the 6k area to sell but I think many of these people had already bailed on the 3k test and so it was all oversold, surprisingly ready to bounce up after that.
7513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analyst claim Bitcoin will easily surpass $15,000 if it gets $10,000 on: June 27, 2019, 08:38:29 PM
2 questions

How high will bitcoin go before the sell off, 15k, 20k, 25k?

And what will it drop back to, 8k, 10k, 12k?

Right now I see it losing 11,000 and I think as a trade not forever but for now it would be worth seeing if price can move down to mid 9000's.   The trade relys on 11,000 taking hold as a ceiling and thats where the stop loss should be.
The reasoning being 8 day average momentum is as high as 11k and also a trend line of higher highs is in that area, moving below opens up the orders from speculators cashing out.   Eventually we meet longer term buyers and it will regain price lost probably.   Earlier today I was watching 12,400 for a pivot to decide if price would continue up or not, since we lost that I'm comfortable with some profit taking and consolidation ongoing after those previous gains.
7514  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: June 27, 2019, 08:24:10 PM
I lost 0.01 BTC that way a long time ago, wasnt worth alot but small print sucks.   However the exchange owner retrieved it for me while telling me I was a fool, nice chap

I saw a message saying that if I will unlock those priviliges they may not last for long
Windows has a useful app called 'snipping tool' to capture a part of the screen, gives a good quick visual reference and imgur would host it to post as a link here.    RP bonus lasts for 24 hours if I understand your question correctly so its good for anyone active
7515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hold on: June 27, 2019, 07:43:58 PM
Its going to sound a bit cliche but I have no doubt its true to say you as a person will grow more then Bitcoin in the next 7 years or so.   You are your own best investment, at your stage in life you can choose to become more skilled in knowledge of the protocol development itself.

If you can be involved in a product which is growing, in a sector which is expanding then it will benefit you greatly as an adult.    Its hard when young to gather the capital but you do have the advantage of a brain ready for new ideas and alot of the world struggles with this point, you are ahead of the game already to be here and ready to learn.
7516  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the Effing Hell is Going On!?!?! on: June 27, 2019, 07:30:15 PM
No, HODL until 12-18 months after the halving & you’ll be laughing. Bitcoin is a long term investment. I started buying in 2014 & I was in big losses until the tide turned. You might have to wait but bitcoin always goes up. Just be patient & trust in the process.

This is good advice, worth taking a look at how the guys who've been around five years are gauging this move.   Going back to the full circle dips and peaks, what they say or do will vary from experience.

Its actually good for the price to pull back and establish properly after a peak like we've had.    Volaility is apparent when price is moving in only one direction, people are happy while it lasts but its negative not to allow new entrants into the market at some lower pricing.
Its very possible the real run is going to centre around halvening.   The point I would add in at that time frame is that I really think the halvening has most effect after, the price rising beforehand is nice for some but its speculation; where as Iam really bullish on BTC fundamentals that favour higher price
7517  Economy / Speculation / Re: We hit 11k what comes next ? on: June 27, 2019, 06:03:51 AM
I'm looking for the price to resolve itself in a more certain direction, we have a mix of both presently.

This is my very short term graph which I would not normally post as its so easy to become outdated.   However with such large market moves, its probably paying to pay closer attention then ever before

The left hand side is a triangle breakout following the price falling.  We broke up which is bullish, however Iam now watching the lower highs vs some small incline in the price also.   Again it could resemble a triangle of some sort, this is only rough drawing but that is fine for a lay of the land when trading.

I believe 12,400 is a good area to call as the result from out breakout after the fall.   Also its part of the short term lows, I would like 12,400 to hold for a bullish scenario from here to develop.
7518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin dominance climbing in this bull market? on: June 27, 2019, 05:59:25 AM
The split in 2017 from BCH caused the big shift in dominance and also some deliberately tried to elevate the fees I think.   It was the perfect storm to alter this % balance away from what it might have been.    Add in ETH and its tokens and that was a big weight away from BTC, surprised it was not even more.
Time is not repeating so simply in this case, its different afaik
7519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why was $13,800 unsustainable? on: June 27, 2019, 05:50:20 AM
I'm officially small fry but I agree with the general idea, new supply vs latent demand equates to some direction for the market.   Thats a very broad view and we obviously have large speculative swings and attempts to swing trade on a smaller time frame.    At present the market is very bullish but at some point supply is far too much for it to hold.

13,800 area is a Fib line and similarly the lows are close to another or more simply the two day average price.   It'll take time to work itself out, I assume we resolve upwards as long as we keep 12,400
7520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hospital That Treats Bitcoin Gambling Addicts? on: June 27, 2019, 04:38:14 AM
Healthcare is always super expensive, its a premium service in many countries and especially of this kind.
It was actually a alcohol, gambling and drug rehabilitation center but now is also accepting bitcoin addicts. The program is aimed at helping people who have developed a compulsion to trade the cryptocurrency. They have included bitcoin trading as an online gambling.

Sounds about right and with the rise in Bitcoin price, if anything they will get more customers because I doubt its a free service but reliant on those clients having the funds to pay for their treatment.   Unfortunately great big crashes and total failure does not allow for anything as nice as rehabilitation only much regret.
