7501  Economy / Speculation / Re: El salvador has become new history of bitcoin! on: June 13, 2021, 04:01:39 PM
Ah, so it actually got approved, just read the confirmation too. But as Bryant points out, no market reaction.

I'd like to see some of those Miami conference dudes put money where their mouths were and start supporting this Salvador Bitcoin thing. And then maybe we start seeing some nodes pick up there, and maybe some good infrastructure for them merchants who let's also hope get an influx of Bitcoin spending tourists. Far end of the continent from Europe, but probably not for most of West Coast US?
7502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 13, 2021, 03:29:29 PM
No card, corner or goal for the last 25 minutes of England-Croatia ugh. Last time I bet on them was a Croatia upset during World Cup but glad I only put England on a parlay for this one. Dull huh?

1-1 is the statistically most common result in football matches. So somehow it's not that surprising that it went 1-1. Not a bad game in itself. In Denmark - Finland I don't expect a 1-1 final score, but crazy things can happen in such tournaments. I expect a lot from the Belgians tonight. Denmark is not even an outsider, I think. Although they do have some good players. They also said the same of the team that became European champion in 1992. I would of course give it to the Danes.

I've heard variations of this statistically most common result but think it really does depend on the league/country you play in. Premier League and Championship games, it's been consistently 1-0 as the most common result, between 15-20% of all results for past few years. Also the most common scoreline of Liverpool's wins.

I look at the correct score market and in general, 2:1 has a lot of value. This is Euros, and we're already seeing two 3:0s, two 1:0s... I suspect we're going to get more 3:0s and 1:0s than more any other result. But that's not scientific, just my feeling looking at the groups and how they're set up.

7503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: June 13, 2021, 02:28:42 PM
Ack, I totally missed today, thought we wouldn't get the early kickoff but I suppose England had to feature! Was it even a good match? HT 0-0 and only a single card and single corner, was heading for the record books but for the 2nd half yellows and goal, game got going and the lowest-ever 6 from friendlies still stood strong.

Was on ClubTalk when Sterling scored, for those of us hoping for no 0-0s in the tourney;)

7 points at 72 minutes. This would be a legendary BJ if it hits!
7504  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sports - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: June 13, 2021, 02:04:10 PM
Just thought to stop by and say it was a great Adesanya bet. A lot of us lost the first time round so his revenge was pretty cool. Also managed to score on 14/10 odds, which was by far the best odds anywhere around, almost 20% better, so hats off to you Stake.

Livestreams I haven't tried out fully yet but I agree, this could be the one unique factor that brings people like me back to the fold. I'll try it out over the next few non-football days;)
7505  Economy / Speculation / Re: The calm before the storm? on: June 13, 2021, 11:48:32 AM
We should see mempool fill up again now that difficulty adjustment kicks in. Got all my urgent txs out to weather the small swell we should see.

A bit surprised there wasn't a bigger price action on the weekend though... Maybe some last min Sunday swings before our Far East friends take over?
7506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey is now speaking up on: June 13, 2021, 10:34:17 AM
Dude, not really new news. Dorsey already did his "duty" about Twitter and a blockchain-based payment service on it. Almost a year ago or some. Didn't really move markets then. Twitter Dorsey and Bitcoin are already a thing I guess. Even Having BTC emojis didn't do nearly as much as Musk-esque promos. That's okay though. We can all live with it.
7507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 13, 2021, 10:05:45 AM
Another great win, at great odds, with no risk. Value doesn't get better than this. 5 rounds, Adesanya gets back to winning ways and he gets his revenge against Vettori.

A rare parlay today, but no friendlies, EURO, Copa and Brasil mix. Why not? Boosted and insured at Sportsbet:
100 units on Netherlands, Austria, England, Colombia and Fortaleza to WIN @14.43. Other odds: 13.35

Had a Eriksen to score and Denmark to win, 45/10. Anyone took that one? Match suspended after he collapsed apparently. Not watching but hope he's okay...
Going with what happend some bookmakers might void the Eriksen to score option, I don't know if Sportsbet would void it or not, well since he started the game some bookmarkers will count it as a lost bet. As for his health, his father says he's able to speak again and everything is going on well with him, a good news everyone was waiting for so far.
It is a lost bet by all rules in any bookie I know of. Even if he played just one minute the bet would be lost. That is extra risk we are taking every time we take player markets. I lost those bets in the past because my player entered the game in the last seconds or got injured in first 5 minutes.

Yeah, I think so too. In the past, Sportsbet did actually void bets on player markets if they didn't start the game. Which is why I played plenty of first to score markets (and if they didn't start, bets voided, so I didn't mind betting on prematch values, which when boosted, were really high).

Anyway, glad to know he woke up and is in hospital recuperating. Too bad the whole team, understandably, played badly after that. Even the penalty was so tame.
7509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FootballCoin Euro 2020 Fantasy - DAILY PRIZES UP TO €1000 on: June 12, 2021, 09:13:02 PM
Finally got round to opening an account. Doesn't quite look like it's easy to win as you can only win 2 star players from the spin (which still costs "gold") but okay, am entering the free round on today's D group on free players to see how far it gets. Might give this a go for a week or two, but I do feel like all these player pack games end up being pay-to-win. Not that I'm against that, people do got to do what they got to do! No one else from forum plays this?
7510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: June 12, 2021, 05:01:15 PM
Happy with how tourney's going SO FAR although it's still early, the yellow card special is doing pretty well -- but Denmark-Finland has us sitting nervous at HT with 0-0 despite 12 shots on goal from the Danes haha. 4-3-free already out with that 5th minute yellow heh.

Had a Eriksen to score and Denmark to win, 45/10. Anyone took that one? Match suspended after he collapsed apparently. Not watching but hope he's okay...
7511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 12, 2021, 03:58:26 PM
First draw of the tournament but it could have been a late Swiss win if not for Mario Gavranovic's goal taken off the board. 2 games, 5 goals, so we're heading for the 2.5 goal per game average I was hoping for... quality's not so good yet, but then we've only had Italy play that's really a good team. But let's see if the Danes prove me wrong eh snipie?

Maybe some Belgian fireworks later? Really hoping for a goalfest today, while the teams are still fresh and raring to go.
7512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: June 12, 2021, 02:57:17 PM
It has to be Belgium - Russia game today for sure, it is by far the most interesting game today.  I have a feeling it is time for one of these to hit again after we had a bust the other day.

Wales-Switzerland turned out to be a pretty gritty affair for the Welsh, leveling with one of their mere shots on goal the entire game, and then getting a Mario Gavranovic goal chalked off.

3 cards, 2 games and 16 corners (crazy corner count as they predicted on ClubTalk Radio)! The final corner in 96th min too. If that Swiss winner had stood, it would have been bust, but well, this was the 2nd EURO game and already a BJ "woulda been" phew!

It was just the sort of game you want for BJ. 16 points on 80th min so plenty of time for late drama points =D
7513  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io- Club House- The best EURO 2021 promotions around!!🚀 on: June 12, 2021, 02:45:08 PM
Hi guys! Thought I should stop by to say hello 😁 I also want to thank sportsbet for the birthday gift of 100 mbtc 😁 there are so many good games to play 😄Come to Club talk and share your bets and odds tips🤩

Slissy! Always nice to see a Bitcointalk guy in Club Talk but even better to see it the other way around now! (Sojourner here). I was there when you confirmed you won, and happy you're one of the regulars getting it. Spent it all on Italy I hope?Wink

Why not make it a habit and stop by this forum here too? It's almost as crazy here spread across all the threads =)
7514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 12, 2021, 01:59:11 PM
Thank you Italy. Looking back, I should have parlayed it with some picks I was mulling over yesterday, in tennis and in friendlies. But happy I just got out of this all the same.

OK, so, today's a very different game, UFC23. And why? Because Stake has got an awesome special on today -- bet on their Ambassador, Israel Adesanya (who's also the favourite) and if he loses, you get your money back. At 14/10, that's value I couldn't ignore. Who can? =D

500 units at Stake on Adesanya to WIN vs Vettori @1.40. Other odds: 1.34
Bet ID: sport:10997386 (if you paste that in Stake chat, you can see the slip)

Units advantage: 30

Running advantage after 375 bets: +25,344 (+30)
All-time cumulative: +63,742
Running units after 374 bets (61W|313L): +14,635 (+750)
7515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Hope Impoverished Nations Become A Bitcoin Network on: June 12, 2021, 12:46:28 PM
Hate to be the guy to kill dreams like these too OP but you got to live the life of these impoverished peoples first to really understand what they need and what they want.

Education, health, clean water, roof over their heads. An ID. These are the things they want and they will need to escape and break that cycle of impoverishment... Not Bitcoin.

Even if it's a payment method they need, Bitcoin even on layer two won't help even if somehow you find a way to provide the internet and smartphones they would need.

I love Bitcoin but it's not the solution to everything.
7516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mining plants in China are shutting down. How will this be reflected on Btc on: June 12, 2021, 10:24:02 AM
Well, we'll find out in a day or so what happens when difficult adjusts up about 13%. Miners will be at max output, or they switch off and then we get even tighter on congestion for another couple of weeks. Then they jump back right in for the certain difficulty down adjustment after.

For as long as market keeps sideways anyway. So... Same same.
7517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: June 12, 2021, 09:11:29 AM
Well, it wasn't a disappointing match after all, but it did take all of second half to produce the three goals and 2 yellow cards required to take this match to 15 for a push. Late yellows too.

Surprised Turkey only managed 1 shot on goal, while Italy rained 8 down on them.

But we go again tonight, or is it going to be the 2pm UTC Welsh/Swiss kickoff?
7518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: June 12, 2021, 08:08:37 AM
No betslips, no honey. I'm old enough to see doctored forex accounts of people turning similar profits on compounding and leverage. Gotta show us some betslip love, sugah.

Though on the off chance you can provide this, send me a PM and we'll see if we can't you 5 minutes of fame on Reddit or some other dark, forlorn corner of the internet?

P.S. it's a 200-fold story, and I'm also old enough to have seen people multiply casino tips in the same way in hours, so not impossible, just high unlikely with sports in my unscientific opinion.

No body is going to sit and post bet slip for 200 bets. If you don't want to believe that is fine. What is funny is that this is nothing whats made with the sports picks is nothing compared to whats made with the stocks. Reddit is mostly pump and dump scheme. This guy i follow is well followed in many sports forums and some of his stock option plays are posted ahead of time and those who tailed cashed big. Here is one example. http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?t=1180010

Somebody (me) has sat and posted betslips for 3 years, over 1,100 of them, day by day. Because, like I said, no betslips, no honey. It's not about believing, it's about trail of evidence that what you set out to prove actually is true. It's for yourself.

So that when I tell people, hey guys, I've done over 3 years and 1,100 bets and this is how much I won/loss, I don't sound like I'm pulling random crap out of my ass.

Good luck to you though. If I were making loads of cash, I'd probably not have time to share on forums, so hats off to you;)
7519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 11, 2021, 03:42:31 PM
Tonight we have a pretty bet on the EURO 2020 opener. Sportsbet gave out an awesome promo yesterday and value is written all over it.
Missed that one unfortunatly. Don't know how Smiley

But I took daily special now and it is one of a kind
France (EURO), Brazil (COPA), Djoko and Barty (Wimbeldon) all to win outright @300

Not gonna come, I know but you don't get better chance to earn a full bitcoin every day.

My man, I took the exact same bet, and France wasn't even my pick (took Netherlands) but I'd easily pick Brazil, Djoko and Barty all so I thought, hell why not.

"Only" put 1.5mbtc on it though so just under half a Bitcoin if this hits. I'll come celebrate with you over a beer if we get it!
7520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 11, 2021, 01:33:12 PM
The opening match was a high-spirited one so it wouldn't hurt to make a quick bet, didn't do a lot of analysis but somehow I was pretty sure Italy would win and I bet @1.51. Maybe it's too early to say who will win this tournament, but I think Italy has a chance to reach that stage.

I had a nice chance to take 25/10 boosted Italy win at Sportsbet yesterday so have a slightly hefty sum on that. I did also take an almost 9/1 bet at Fairlay to hedge that bet, so I feel pretty good about tonight's opener.

I'll win something either outcome, but will win the most with Italy. Now the draw would set me back quite a bit though haha!
