For those of us who have been in bitcoin for a while it becomes difficult to shave off bitcoin during these dipping times, even if the BTCs might well be in considerable profits....

Getting older can make it more difficult to recover from anything, and I remember sometimes in my 20s that I would go for a run when I was extremely sick.. and I am not really sure if that was good for me, but the energy was there to be able to do it.

Oh also if you become bed-laden and you are in your 20s or 30s, frequently, you can build back muscle, but as you get older it becomes quite a bit more difficult to build back muscle.. some guys do take testosterone... but then that could interfere with your body's natural abilities to produce testosterone.. I have not tried anything like that so I am not speaking from personal experiences.. but I can see how it could become quite tempting to supplement in order to build and maintain muscle.. because sometimes you can ONLY exercise so much when you get older. believe it or not.. I am speaking from personal experience in that regard.

True. I was attending a gym for like 10 years and some guys were taking testosterone... well after some time your balls stop functioning and you only depend on your testosterone shots... it's a bit like chemical castration actually...

There were several 70+ guys visiting the gym I trained at and they were really beefy and fit and stuff but I have to say all of them usually disappeared after a really short time... my guess is a heart attack...  Sad

The issue with supplements and keeping your balls still working means dropping a load 7-10 times a week as part of your training.

male ejaculate has lots of testosterone in it.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1030919/

read up on guys like babe ruth he ate tons of oysters and had many woman. thus he balanced his testosterone.

read up on Roger Clemons he used a young olympic girl  to drain himont a steady basis.

It kept him balanced and the gymnast got hormones to aid in her muscle building.

Lots of athletes do this.

Read about Arnold when he was Mr Universe steroid were legal and he was a big womanizer

It is most likely the cpu having a bad pin contact.

Wiggle, yes wiggle, the cpu cooler (and therefore the cpu contact) slightly and some bad pin contact can improve that way.
This actually "works" better than removing the cpu and plugging it back in.

 Grin

yeah could be this.

and or ram.

try cpu trick.

then try the ram in every slot

I have a bad  cpu a pentium it won't work with any ram in six different mobos.

but it does the 2x or 3x boot trick in every one. then a beep and off.

one mobo has a code and it shows cpu issue.

so I am guessing cpu to pin could be it.
7524  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: what is the best pool for antminer s9? on: February 22, 2022, 01:46:19 PM
I have an antminer s9 and an antminer s9j, I would like to know which is the best pool I can put them in to have the best performance

best performance is a hard question to answer.

viabtc.com. set to pps+ pays 17 cent a th or 0.00000436 btc x 28th = 0.00012208 btc a day / $4.76 set auto withdrawal to 0.0001 and you will get payment every 9 or 10 days

https://www.viabtc.com/signup?refer=257609

my referral code above

or got to

https://www.viabtc.com

no referral

do I think it is your best choice

if you want a regular payout yes it is.

if you want to get rich mine at ck solo pool

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5237323.0

or try kano solo pool

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.0

solo mining is all or nothing and would take you decades to catch a pool so $0.   for 30 years is the likely income .  But if you get lucky and hit a block for 6 coins = over $229,000 in under a day . very very very unlikely
7525  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are humans the superior forever? on: February 22, 2022, 03:00:31 AM
I want to ask this question, are humans the superior forever?

The scientists believed in evolution. From the creation of the Galaxy that led to the creation of Earth. Organisms evoled from the primitives ones like dinosaur which are no more existing, to fish, to amphibians, to reptiles, to birds and then to humans.

According to the scientists, the Earth has been exiting billions of years ago, organisms has been traced to be existing from many millions of years ago, dinosaurs are no more million of years ago before humans evolved.

There will be millions years to come.

If evolution is true, is it possible that after humans have been created now, there will be another creature superior to him humans, the evolution of another being.

Who is to say humans ever were the superior?

So far I only see that humans say it.

Maybe we are inferior to most creatures here on earth 🌏.

And when we add in the whole universe it is likley we are pretty far down the list.

Well, ****, me and my big mouth, 16!

lol.

I was hoping for a bit more staying-power from the "Canadian government seizing bank accounts" price bump, but I guess not.

the Ukraine Russia fight is not settled.

and until it is settled many bad things will happen.

This is a long issue. Dates back a while.

Basically Russia is been water starved by the Ukraine

and Ukraine did that as retaliation to Russia grabbing a part of the Ukraine years ago.

and it dates back more but that's another set of back stories media shuts down.

Sad to see that people will suffer here.
7528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L7 NO HASHRATE on: February 21, 2022, 04:43:17 AM
okay the psu does not provide proper voltage.

So either you got a bad psu or the voltage you are sending is not proper.

What is your power source 110/120 or 220/240

it needs to be 220/240

BUT the need for privacy is also quite real, and we are best off when we are aware of the situation.  Privacy in Bitcoin use is a VERY important issue.  And at the risk of being Batslapped... there is a reason Monero has taken BTC's market in many of the dark net sites...

Yeah overall I see what your saying in your post. But... I feel like your last statement above is a little bit back to that of a typical Bitcoiner who disregards everything I said #1-#3 in my post above. It's the dodge of the elephant, again.

Case in point: Monero users might have private transactions (or so they believe, wink wink), but the goods and services they are buying with it, or the fiat conversions they are doing, are being monitored and tracked by the establishment. So then what's the point? How is that really private? I heard a story a while back of a bodybuilder that used Monero to purchase steroids. He/she thought their transaction was private, but the FBI still tracked the illegal mail package to their house and arrested them. The "privacy" of the transaction made zero difference, they got caught anyway. I'm sure the same has happened to people trying to use Monero to buy illegal drugs, guns, shady services, etc.

Regarding the idea of countries splitting into smaller municipalities..the trend is certainly in that direction.
Whether it would be formalized as depicted in "Snow Crash" or not remains to be seen.

I read an interesting article about how people are moving to stay with populations that are 'more like them'.

Call me crazy, but I purposely moved to a certain state to live out my days for exactly this reason. I already see the writing on the wall in terms of where things are heading, and it ain't good.

I honestly think we are taking past each other really...  I recognize that privacy is a spectrum, and any transaction has parts that are not at all private.  I just see the fundamental design of Bitcoin as something that is going to cause some issues for people when they read pseudonymous as anonymous.

 I agree yeah.

you can be undetectable .  Just make a wallet and mine to it.  So there is an address that just gets coins in a wallet no one knows the owner of the wallet.  Here is an address

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1GVsS1oX4seNuvSgGUosvYc3EtD2aT9JFA

if you view it you see coins going in and never coming out.

if you look at the source  of the coins you see they come from a well know pool address.

Better yet mine solo with enough gear and you only get coins from the blockchain.

both cases no one knows the owner of the coins

one case the source is from a well know pool
one case the source is direct from the block chain.

So no one knows the address but if you are USA based like me. Those coins are taxable at the price on the day you got them.

And if you sell them 10 years later with a cap gain they are taxable again.

So it is not very wise to hide them if you are USA based.

7532  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Hernias suck hernia surgery sucks too on: February 18, 2022, 07:58:57 PM
A few days over 3 weeks after surgery.
Better, still not good.

Turns out it was larger then they saw on the scans. Surgeon did not tell me sooner after the operation since it really did not matter at that point. Didn't want to stress me.
He needed 3 pieces of mesh to make the repair. Oops, Dave broke himself good....

Can function, just moving slow and can't move in certain ways without my body letting me know about it.
Not taking anything stronger then Advil / Aleve.

-Dave

My late dad had 3.  WHEN they meshed him at 46 the third op it never broke again.

He died at 82 from a different issue. So he got 36 good years of repair with the mesh.

But 6-8 weeks for recovery can be common.

Hang in there .

So I guess Canada is just going to arrest peaceful protesters now without cause or justification? Congrats Canada, you are now a communist country.

Covid is apparently so deadly and contagious and the vaccine mandates so needed there, that the arresting officers can't even be bothered to wear masks. Lol, what a fucking joke.  Roll Eyes

The truckers are lucky they have not been machined gunned to death.

I not saying killing them is appropriate I am saying they could have been blown away legally as the powers granted to the prime minister include that.

Most people simply do not realize most of the civilized world is a police state.

Do a disturbing enough protest and you get blown away.

It is the trade off for quote un quote a civilized  world.

Not saying I approve or disapprove simply saying it is what it is.

Nope you're wrong, apparently around the world if you are a BLM/Antifa protester, you can throw bricks through windows, set cars and buildings on fire, attack other people in the streets, loot stores, etc. and you will not get blown away or even arrested. You will get applauded, heralded by the MSM, and even given more funds to continue being a domestic terrorist.

You miss the point the point is :

"If you are disturbing enough"

Obviously BLM protest was not disturbing enough to the powers to be.

What was done there was an effort to show cops that slaying a guy in the street with your hands on your hips as if he was not human is not acceptable.

So pollies and MSM whipped BLM into a frenzy to teach cops a lesson.

Once again not right or wrong simply what happened.

Pollies kept arming police to the teeth with military grade weaponry and the killing of George Floyd sacred pollies bigly. So they tried to push the other side into standing up to the police.

Better solution was "convict corrupt cops" not "defund the police". fast track the conviction and execution of a single moron cop and say we did the right thing which give moral hand to smashing out BLM riots.

So we now have a fully loaded world where cops are paranoid of ambushes and trigger happy and thugs are looking to make a point.

Trump had a real opportunity to crush it out  by asking for fed trial to be fast tracked against  single killer cop.
We would not be here writing about this.
Instead in NYC alone:

3 cops blown away in Jan of 2022 and 7 shot by Feb 18 of this year.

I'm tempted to order some of the 12 card cases, always had it in my mind more then 6-8 cars per rig is trouble.

these are rock solid with:

 rtx a2000
 rtx a4000
 rtx a4500

I have not done one with 12 rtx a5000 but suspect that the 200-277 volt 4200 watt case would be a better fit than the 120-240 3600 watt case as 12 x 225 = 2700 + 200 for the fans + mobo = 2900 watts which if and when the farm volt sags to 190 volts (in the summer one or two time a month) the lessor  what psu would struggle

not going to cross that bridge as my rtx a4500 + a5000 pulls 2500 watts which will be fine on either case if we drop to 190 volts this summer.
