7541  Other / Meta / What's the essence of reporting topic to be moved if they can be moved back. on: March 15, 2019, 02:56:15 PM
Some weeks back, @Jet_cash and few other users complained of their topic been moved to other board without considering the content of their post and its benefits to the users on the board it was initially posted in. I decided to carryout a test to see if some moderators based their judgement on comments accompanying those report to make their decision.

Actually my reason for this thread isn't because of what I just wrote above (but since I was carrying out a test involving reported posts I decided to include the test above). Here's the reason for this thread, few days ago I notice a thread I reported appear back on the board I reported the thread from then I suspected maybe OP moved the topic back after it got moved by Mod. I then decide to test this out by reporting my thread tilted [Infographic]: Guide on possible reasons to leave a -ve/+ve trust feedbacks.

Now this is where the first test above comes into play, in the comment section I made mod understand the topic belongs to the reputation board since it has to do with trust system and the topic got moved to reputation board.

Don't know if mod reviewed the post or based his judgement on my comment but I'm thinking he did the second one because to me from the content of that topic, it fits more in the beginner and help board. In order to complete my test I tried moving the thread back to the beginner and help board and it got moved successfully.

So I asked if users can simply move their posts back after been moved by moderators why do we waste our time reporting those post to be moved. Shouldn't there be something like a board lock effect for those threads moved by moderators (i.e that particular thread can't be moved by the average users except another moderator).

Sorry for the inconveniences caused to moderators involved in this test, you guys are trying but I suggest you investigate more into reported thread before moving them. Some threads can fit into the category of two separate boards. The one that benefits the users more should be considered appropriate.

7542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins? on: March 15, 2019, 10:57:52 AM
I've been wondering whats the benefits of a Stable-coin?

Consider stablecoins as fiat currency on the blockchain the only main benefits of stablecoins is having the ability to take advantage of fiat currency (convert your coins to fiat to avoid volatility) while still operating on the blockchain the rest benefits are just bonuses and wasn't the main intention of the creation of stablecoins in the first place.

Example USDC (Stablecoins) is USD on blockchain. Meaning with stablecoins you can use USD on the blockchain.
7543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: March 15, 2019, 05:54:04 AM
A bit surprised Chelsea won with 5 goals on the away match 2nd leg against Dyn. Kyiv and hattrick for Giroud. I thought it would be a close match lol. Other premier league team Arsenal also won and qualify to the next round.

It was a great experience last night, giroud scoring a perfect hat trick (left foot, right foot and header) keeping Chelsea europa league record intact but that wasn't my highlight for last night because I knew we were going to win. Although I'm a chelsea fan , Arsenal's remarkable comeback victory and the blackpather celebration performed by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stole the show for me.
7544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: March 15, 2019, 05:31:33 AM
I don't encourage KYC on online casinos although if the company is based in a country that requires them, i see no problem for them asking their customer to verify their identity. Majority of users attracted to online casinos are those searching for privacy amd other reason. asking them to provide kyc will just make you loss them to other online casinos not requesting for kyc.

Generally speaking, kyc does more good since it can help prevent fraudulent activity but consider the privacy of the customer I don't buy the idea of online casinos requesting for them.
7545  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz being campaign manager of casinos with no adress or license on: March 15, 2019, 05:18:35 AM
If a project decides to stay anonymous without a trace of scammy activities, I see no problem in that. I have come in contact with two projects listed above and to my understanding their operations can be considered safe.

I'm positive Hhampuz wouldn't and doesn't associate himself with scam projects that's why I have promoted previously bitcoinvideocasino (for 4weeks) and got paid fully without delay also currently promoting "matchbillion".  Don't just jump into conclusion always have evidence of scam before dragging a reputed user into the picture.
7546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa on: March 14, 2019, 01:46:02 PM
All we know that africa is not progressive country. I think they will not easily adopt the system because  most of them are not aware in using technology. I think if they already know and adopt the system of using bitcoin they will have a chance or opportunity to change or improve their life to make it better.

Firstly, africa isn't a country it's a continent just like Europe and American ignore the bad news you hear about africa on television it's a beautiful continent to visit also africa isn't poor, we're been raped by the westerners. I wrote a thread on that tilted "Africa isn't poor - Africa is being raped".
7547  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns. on: March 14, 2019, 01:15:54 PM
I want to use this opportunity to thank all those that contributed to the success of this thread, it just got added to [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) hopefully the intention of this thread will be achieved as more users get to read it and it enlighten them on factors they should consider before applying to participate in a paid signature campaign.

Description :  Topic says it all.

I haven't been actively reporting post since I have merits to merit them but this OP is very active and one of the users trying his best in the beginner and help board just like myself and few others. he lacks merits {8} to rank up to snr member. You can check his (started) post history
7549  Other / Meta / Re: The nice thread thread on: March 14, 2019, 10:57:32 AM
Although I already have a thread on the list, I think this thread I started "The used of Bitcoin in Africa"  is quite a decent one and my favorite. It gives me joy each time I re-read the thread knowing the citizens of african countries have gone a long way in embracing bitcoin. Although it's on bitcoin discussion board, I still try my best to keep thread spam free as I report any worthless replies (earning me 20+ good reports).
7550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) on: March 14, 2019, 10:43:45 AM
Please post guides that should be added.

Suggestion for the Bitcointalk forum category;
[Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns.

When I started this thread last month I never knew it'll be appreciated by all the users who have merited, contributed and posted their replies. The first five factor were what I consider before applying and got accepted into my very first bitcoin paid signature campaign on the forum. I believe the topic is worth highlighting. I know we already have a signature guidelines thread but mine is different.
7551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: March 14, 2019, 07:28:44 AM
Good season for the premier league teams all four through to the round of 8. My bet is on Manchester City and Liverpool to proceed to the next phase don't think Tottenham and Manchester United can make it pass the round of 8. Ronaldo prove why he's the God of champions league although Messi's display yesterday was world class and was short of one goal to get his hat trick which he deserves last night.
7552  Economy / Economics / Re: Barclays: ‘Facebook Coin’ to bring in $19 billion by 2021 on: March 14, 2019, 06:49:19 AM
The only thing the blockchain technology will benefit from Facebook coins is their help in spreading the news about blockchain technology to their billions of online users. I see no benefits in their tokens what's the utility of the token going to be? To me it is just another act of greediness and waste of money. We have numerous coins already why not just adopt or buy the company of one than  introducing another shitcoin until the market.
7553  Other / Meta / Re: What topics do you want to see here, and where should they be posted? on: March 14, 2019, 06:41:57 AM
I would love to read about users life experience maybe on the serious discussion or Ivory tower board. How bitcoin has affected their life's, I know we have many senior citizens among us I'll love to tap from their knowledge and experience on how life should be handled. Take some break from discussing bitcoin price and when moon or lambo and just discuss general stuffs that affects our everyday life.
7554  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Explain double spend attacks to me in simple terms on: March 14, 2019, 06:25:14 AM
Question 2: How is a 51% attack different from a double spend attack? Or are they the same thing.

A 51% attack is used to double spend. A 51% attacks is carried out by a miner that has control over 50% of the hash power of that particular blockchain's network. A 51% attack can be considered as creating a counterfeit money (coin) from thin air and can only be done by miners

Meanwhile a double spend attack can be carried out by the average cryptocurrency users. It simple means spending a coin twice due to merchant accepting cryptocurrency transactions with 0 unconfirmed status.

Note: A 51% attack is a double spend attack that has to do with mining while double spend is just spending a particular coins twice.
7555  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Adulthood is a scam, wish I could stay young forever on: March 13, 2019, 04:53:15 PM
just wait till you turn into your father/mother.

Lol hoping to get my life figured out before I get to that stage. Thanks to bitcoin.

To others, thanks for the advice and encouragements never knew this topic will be considered decent. I was even thinking of posting it on Off topic board as it has to do with me just fustrated and redirecting my anger into words.
7556  Other / Meta / Re: The nice thread thread on: March 13, 2019, 03:28:08 PM
Maybe include the threads of those who got promoted to high ranks by starting out as Newbies or Jr's.

Haven't you notice Jet cash isn't much interesting in discussing merit related stuff unless he's starting a merit contest. Him adding those type of thread will just turn this thread into another merit discussion spam.

Thanks jet cash for finding my post somehow useful, it was just me sharing my frustration on how been an adult, it's just too stressful.
7557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 95% OF YOU Will Fail Trading: Learn how to overcome this stat on: March 13, 2019, 04:50:53 AM
Not everyone can benefits from a particular source of income, if you notice trading isn't working for you switch to something more appealing liking investing (buying and hodling of your cryptocurrency) the cryptocurrency market is too volatile and only the smart traders make profits irrespective of the market direction. If you aren't good at that then change to something that suits you.
7558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will an increase in bitcoin price affect the gambling industry on: March 13, 2019, 04:46:03 AM
As we all know the value of bitcoin are down but we are still optimistic about the price bouncing back.
Am new to bitcoin sportbook I just want to ask what would change if bitcoin increases

Gambling with cryptocurrency is more of a risk as your cashing out via bitcoin keeps you at a 50/50 chance on benefiting from bitcoin price gain or losing to it price lost. If the price of bitcoin increasing the change will be, the massive profit made from holding the bitcoin you won before the sudden price spike (when it comes) and more gamblers will pick interested in cryptocurrency related gamble houses.
7559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: INFOGRAPHIC: Most Common Sports Betting Terms Every Beginner Should Know on: March 13, 2019, 04:40:51 AM
Very useful infograph op, there where some terms in the infographic that I haven't heard although I'm still a newbie when it come to gambling so maybe that could be the reason of not coming across those terms. I focus more on football betting that's where I got some skills in predictions as pass history with current team form plays a major past in the outcome of the games.
7560  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has no practical use and could be damaging to the economy! on: March 13, 2019, 04:35:02 AM
can only give damage to the global economy.

This is where their fear is at, not that it'll spoil the economy generally but it will expose their scammy practice. They're just scared of bitcoin because it has the power to disrupt their businesses and the scam called fiat currency. I bet this was a paid article with an intention to creation FUD to their readers. He speaks about bitcoin been a currency without a country, Is he forgetting about gold or oil  we're in the information ages where the world is now connected you don't have to own anything before you can use them (just like the internet)
