This was probably one of the most important matches for Chelsea and it looks like they lost it. Chelsea still has good chances of getting that 4th place until the end of the season but they have to play 2 tough matches against Liverpool and United both being away for home so their only option remains winning Europa League. They had a terrible 2nd half, despite being the better side at half time, I think winning the Europa league will be easier for them, than them finishing in top 4 in the EPL this season. |

Not surprised tbh, this is Cup match and there always a surprise on cup match. Even Man City almost lose against Swansea. Still sucks though for Man United, a chance to win 1 throphy in this year vanished. Man City were said to have had controversial calls favor them during the match in absence of VAR. If the Video Assistant Referee was in place the penalty that led to the equalizer would probably not have been given, the winner would have be canceled as well due to an offside play. |

I watched this match and it looks that Atletico still haven't recovered after loss to Juventus - not phisically, but emotionally. Their performance was really bellow their level tonight.
About Barca, match against Betis is one few most difficult remainig matches for Barca. After Atletico loss, nothing terrible won't happen if Barca will lose or play draw. But win and 10 point gap would make our situation very comfortable with just 10 games remaining.
I just hope Barcelona take this match with uttermost importance and shouldn't relent simply because Atletico Madrid lost, the latter stages of Champions League is fast approach and If the team create a big gap with lead at the La Liga table now, there will less pressure on the Coach to field all players in La liga during that stage in order not to drop points. |

This thread has been quiet over the last few days.
So, Roma just lost 1-2 against Spal and they could possibly drop to 7th place if Torino and Atalanta win their respective games. I've said it before, Ranieri is not the solution.
They could further drop to 8th position if Lazio should win tomorrow and win their match in hand, I think Roma are gradually blowing their chance of a top 4 finish. They also have a tough match against Napoli as their fixture, which means another potential slip up. |

Gareth Bale just made it 2 - 0 for Real Madrid against Celta Vigo, and it means Zidane will starting off his second spell at Real with a win.
It was an easy match for him and it is normal to start with a win. I would expect a new attitude in the Real Madrid with more aggressive and attacking play from the first team, especially with the extremes running up and down the pitch. Still the 2-0 is a good start but I expect to see more scoring in the future with Zidane on the bench. Hopefully, we see more positive results in the future, but I think it is still too late and they'll be ending the season trophyless. but they'll have more time to prepare for the upcoming season. |
