7581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there reliable analysts in the marekt that you follow? on: December 19, 2020, 04:32:22 PM
Here's a tip:

If you don't like doing research and doing the work yourself, then investing is probably not for you. It's that simple.

But anyway, the safest investments in both asset classes you've mentioned are as such:

  • Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Stock markets: an S&P500 index fund (VOO, SPY)

These are two of the things I would recommend a lazy investor(though I'm personally bitcoin only when talking about cryptocurrencies). But at least, at the very minimum, try to learn what both actually are before investing in them.

7583  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Exchange Transfer Services on: December 19, 2020, 02:18:55 PM
Fortunately for you Binance actually supports internal fund transfers. Zero fees, too.

https://www.binance.com/en/support/articles/360037037312-How-to-Make-Internal-Transfer-within-Binance

As for fast and cheap transfers between exchanges, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist yet. Though this is what Blockstream Liquid is trying to solve: https://blockstream.com/liquid/
7584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin is transparent, solution? on: December 19, 2020, 06:25:57 AM
I use monero quite frequently, and the vast majority of the time it is the only coin I am holding other than bitcoin unless I need another one for a specific purpose or payment. I am under no illusion that it will most likely lose value in terms of bitcoin over time (although its price in USD has been increasing pretty steadily for the last 9 months or so), but that's not why I am holding it. I was spending bitcoin last year at $3k and I am spending it this year at $23k, as I am using it because of its technology, not because of its price. The same is true for my use of monero. If you are serious about looking to an altcoin for privacy technology then monero is the way to go, but its performance against bitcoin is the price you have to pay.

The other coins that have been mentioned are trash.

Totally get what you mean. My reply was more of as a quick note for the other readers that while Monero might be the best option to use right now for payments(obviously because of privacy), it doesn't necessarily mean that Monero would be the best option to hold most of your funds in.
7585  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Green Wallet on: December 19, 2020, 05:15:22 AM
yes it's ios. Thanks.

And could u tell me the reason for not using the green?

Because Blockstream Green uses multisig, with you having only 1 of the 2 keys, meaning that you can't simply just restore your wallet backup to other wallet software like Electrum. The backup pretty much only works on Blockstream Green. So when Blockstream Green closes down anytime soon for whatever reason(I completely doubt it, but still the possibility is there), you pretty much lose access to your funds completely.

With that said, as long as you're just going to use Blockstream Green as your hot wallet(probably $300 worth of bitcoin at maximum), you're going to be fine. If you hold larger amounts of bitcoin, then a hardware wallet like Ledger[1] or Trezor[2] would be the superior choice.

7586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Adam Back the real Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 19, 2020, 05:05:32 AM
the writing does not match
the personality does not match
heck even his coding skills does not match

yes adam back had a small piece of 'hashcash' that inspired satoshi.
but satoshi also grabbed inspiration from others too.

bitcoin is a puzzle of master craft bringing in different elements from different sources. and put together in a way those sources could never dream of doing.
this does not mean any of those elements made bitcoin.

much like the original person inventing the wheel centuries ago did not invent the new Tesla electric car.

as for personality. adam back is not that interested in 'banking for the unbanked'

And ultimately, I get that people get curious, but people really need to stop attempting to guess who the real Satoshi is. Knowing that it's probably going to be almost impossible in the first place, if someone does manage to expose who Satoshi is, it's really not going to do Bitcoin any good. Everyone not knowing Satoshi's political stances and opinions in general is definitely the way to go.
7587  Local / Pamilihan / Re: USDT TO ETH COINS PH :( on: December 19, 2020, 04:19:11 AM
Olats nga eh from 900 usd natalo ako sa yfii tas ilalbas ko nalang sana yung pera pang bayad ng bahay tas bawal pala yung usdt to eth coins.ph. Sad(( feeeling ko negative na makuha. Puro nalang sinasabi nila.

Best of luck.
7588  Local / Pamilihan / Re: USDT TO ETH COINS PH :( on: December 18, 2020, 03:08:20 PM
Wait? What? Hindi mo pwedeng itransfer and USDT ERC20 sa ETH ng coins.ph kasi hindi naman supported ng coins.ph and ERC20 based protocol ng ETH. Tanging mismong ETH lang and pwede mong isend sa coins.ph and nothing else.

Although identical sila ng format in terms of their address na nag start sa "0x" hindi mo pa din pwedeng i-send from binance to coins.ph. Unfortunately, hindi mo na yun pwedeng ibalik kasi as far as I know irreversible ang cryptocurrency transaction and of course hindi supported ng coins.ph and ERC20 based token. Wala na yun.

Much better kung ipinalit mo muna yung USDT ERC20 mo sa ETH and then saka mo nilipat sa coins.ph.

This.

Ang pwede mo lang gawin ngayon OP is to contact Coins.ph and hopefully mag-effort silang i-retrieve ung pera mo. Technically pwede nilang i-retrieve since sa ETH address mo naman sinend, pero most likely kasi may limitations sa software/system na ginagamit nila. With bigger exchanges like Coinbase, usually malalaking halaga lang ung nireretrieve nila kasi safe to assume na time-consuming process to. While I think na alanganin pa na makuha mo ung pera mo, try mo lang. Wala naman ng mawawala in this case.
7589  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin All time High $23k : What is secret of this High . on: December 18, 2020, 02:45:02 PM
I am Not Understanding This high

Supply and demand. This is the only thing you need to know for why most if not all assets grow in price. It's mostly just the case that simply a lot more bitcoin are being bought than being sold on exchanges hence the price rose. If you're looking for a more specific reason, then sorry because there's no 100% accurate way for us to know why most people are buying.
7590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin is transparent, solution? on: December 18, 2020, 01:58:22 PM
If you want to remain anonymous in the crypto space I suggest you use privacy coins like monero, zcash, verge, dash. That way your transactions is hidden from the public

Technically, sure you're going to have more privacy; but if you're buying bitcoin as an investment/hedge or to use it sometime in the future for buying stuff, then best of luck. Most altcoins(99%) has always been in a downtrend vs bitcoin, and good luck using them to pay for stuff as bitcoin is the de-facto cryptocurrency that's being accepted online.

Take a look at XMR's chart itself(which is the best performing coin compared to the other coins you've listed) vs bitcoin. Imagine how much worse the charts are with ZEC, XVG, and DASH.

7591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin advertising by celebrities. on: December 18, 2020, 01:47:30 PM
Celebrities posting about Bitcoin/crypto isn't really anything new. As far as I remember, Katy Perry was one of the most notable ones in the 2017 bull run(though it was posted in January of 2018) with her "crypto nails" thingy.

In the end, it ended up being damn good indicator that the top was reached in the short-mid term lol.

7592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I make a cold wallet securely? on: December 18, 2020, 01:19:08 PM
People mostly think that just because a paper wallet is offline that they're already safe, even though a lot of people mess up the process by leaking the private keys while generating the wallet.

I'm amazed that after so many years, people still that paper wallet in the form of printed-out private key is the best way to store their coins.

As far as I know it's the "free" factor knowing that you don't really need a hardware wallet of some sort, knowing that all you need is a computer and a printer; and the somewhat false(or sort of misleading) sense of security a lot of guides and articles give their users. That just because paper wallets are offline(but not necessarily unleaked), it automatically means it's "secure".
7593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early signs of crime with bitcoin. on: December 17, 2020, 12:36:33 AM
No matter what the financial tool is, expect that there will always be bad guys tarnishing the reputation of established fronts for their personal gain.

Yeap, and not just financial tools specifically, tools in general are always going to be used for nefarious purposes, and there's really not much we can do about it. Especially knowing that Bitcoin is pretty much freedom money, people will always take advantage of that freedom. With that said, I'd like to take the optimistic approach and remember that there are a lot of people saving themselves from inflation(and governmental tyranny) because of this wonderful invention that is Bitcoin.
7594  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Wallet/Exchange Combiner? on: December 17, 2020, 12:25:58 AM
If you're a full time trader whereas it totally makes sense to just leave funds on exchanges, you could probably use services such as TabTrader[1] for being able to trade using only 1 app(Disclaimer: I haven't used it for years, so do your due diligence), and Blockfolio[2] for portfolio tracking.

On the other hand, if you're not a full-time trader and you just mostly hold bitcoin/crypto, please use a non-custodial wallet: https://NotYourKeys.org/

If you think you don't have the knowledge to create a paper wallet through an air-gapped device running tails, please, save yourself the headaches and just purchase a hardware wallet like a Ledger[1] or a Trezor[2]. People mostly think that just because a paper wallet is offline that they're already safe, even though a lot of people mess up the process by leaking the private keys while generating the wallet.

7596  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Telegram Groups? on: December 17, 2020, 12:15:32 AM
You are in a forum that is a source for good quality discussions, so why do you want to search for a channel on Telegram? A lot of channels want to make profits, and thus you will find many people who talk to make their channels look great.

To be fair, while we get decent threads on the Trading Discussion section from time to time, it's mostly those "what coin to buy" and basic beginner trading question threads, not technical analysis posts(which I think is that OP is looking for).
7597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin is transparent, solution? on: December 16, 2020, 11:52:58 PM
OP is not looking for that. As OP used paypal and thus his identity along with an address has been revealed. OP wants to get escaped from that address so that BTC sender can't trace him anymore.

Sure OP was looking to break the link on his BTC address, but some extra privacy protection on the PayPal side probably wouldn't hurt, wouldn't it? Knowing that getting access to your personal information isn't something you should just scoff at.

"Re: Bitcoin BREAKS $20,000! - Binance"

What a coincidence.. It looks like bitcoin isn't the only thing that broke something.. 🤣

Does Binance has fucking issue atm or what? Balances (spot accounts) not showing the right amounts. Ive got everything stable atm and still it is fluctuating 100,s of dollars within seconds / minutes. anyone elso noticing, its fucking slow as well.

7599  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Telegram Groups? on: December 16, 2020, 04:09:13 PM
You're honestly mostly better off following reputable traders on Twitter instead. There's just something about Telegram groups that seems so scammy for me due to some groups being private. On Twitter on the other hand, you can easily get called out if you're obviously scamming or just attempting a pump&dump on a coin/token.

I'm just going to add: Since your full name is revealed when transacting with PayPal using your personal account, the trick I do is to create a PayPal business account(name it whatever you want) and accept the money there, then I instantly proceed to move the money from my business account to my personal account. That way, only your PayPal business account name is exposed.

tldr; person <---> business account <---> personal account
