7581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 03, 2021, 10:52:11 AM
Well, we came close to bagging both of these games! Scotland were in the lead all the way til 89th minute when Depay completed his brace and saved his team a point. Georgia, well, in the lead for most of the game, and giving me my first friendly win post football season. Very pleased.

For today, we go for the Northern Irish, who've impressed all over the qualifiers. Can they beat a Ukraine in decline? Why not?

100 units at Sportsbet on N Ireland to WIN vs Ukraine @6.60. Other odds: -
Bet ID: 60b7c8bb4219f7111ddaf265

Running advantage after 364 bets: +24,288 (-)
All-time cumulative: +62,686
Running units after 363 bets (60W|303L): +14,885 (+370)
7582  Economy / Speculation / Re: Death Cross is about to happen on: June 03, 2021, 09:43:09 AM
Looks like the market movement is just about to invalidate this particular death cross. We'll have to wait and see if America wakes up and decides to continue the momentum or if scalpers will continue to pare off gains.

Either way, golden and death crosses haven't done much for expectations for the past couple of years ha.
7583  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Who is going to Miami? on: June 03, 2021, 06:45:18 AM
Should be of some interest to see who goes, yeah, especially whale pass holders. At least one of the sponsors is active in this forum, and now we know OP is going, so bitcointalk will be represented;)

Miami's got the highest concentration of immigrant population in the US with some really unique legislation there, and plenty of remittances abroad to Central and South America. No surprise it's Bitcoin-friendly! 20k attendees expected. Pictures, OP!
7584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anybody else feel relieved this dip finally happened? on: June 03, 2021, 05:39:05 AM
Hands up here. Always relief when it happens sooner than most people expect, I don't like when we get rise after rise, ATH after ATH, reminds me too much of the tail end of 2017 rally.

Heads down though, and keep your seatbelts on. I don't think we're out of the woods just yet. I can imagine quite a few people holding the trigger on PR campaigns to FUD some more.
I am not against the ATH after ATH periods, they very good periods and we need them as much as we need the corrections like these as well, I feel like they are equally important to the market. We need 2017's so that 2018 wouldn't feel bad, we need to increase a ton so that the decrease would be fine.

I personally feel like there is a good amount of reality to dips, they basically make us feel like we are still on earth, those huge gains make people feel like they may actually end up getting so rich that they could live in mansions and make insane amount of profit and could basically live a rich persons life, but these dips make us realize that the profits are temporary and we need to take advantage of them. This is why I think both of them are equally great, I love making a profit, and I love buying at low so that I can profit later on, both are great.

I always prefer consecutive ATHs after a small pullback or a series of them in between. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy those breath-taking moments too. There's a place I know with a bot that updates every time a new ATH is reached and I don't mind visiting to see it update every few minutes, hour after hour, all day long. Small joys;)

I do feel the retracements in between make for stronger ATH foundations... firmer support for when the momentum is over -- which must happen at some point.

7586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: June 02, 2021, 06:19:42 PM
No betslips, no honey. I'm old enough to see doctored forex accounts of people turning similar profits on compounding and leverage. Gotta show us some betslip love, sugah.

Though on the off chance you can provide this, send me a PM and we'll see if we can't you 5 minutes of fame on Reddit or some other dark, forlorn corner of the internet?

P.S. it's a 200-fold story, and I'm also old enough to have seen people multiply casino tips in the same way in hours, so not impossible, just high unlikely with sports in my unscientific opinion.
7587  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: June 02, 2021, 04:05:25 PM
Hey Tornike! Arriving slightly late to see the new 1x2 promo for Euro, locking in my picks soon, and just the sort of thing I like to see -- a big, big fan of upsets and underdogs, so here's hoping we see that at least throughout the group stages. Maybe for future, points system can reward those who pick the unlikelier outcomes?Wink Or add in a score to points?

4+1 is always awesome too, hope you could bring that back for big leagues when they resume, should be a whole season-long event;)

7588  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: June 02, 2021, 02:59:04 PM
^Steve what an awesome share. I wish I had those kind of balls on live:)

On tonight, I keep thinking I'm wasting my time on friendlies, but I'm counting on teams to be playing fully experimental squads tonight, so while the Favourites Special looks good, I've also backed Scotland and Georgia (my personal darkhorse favourite!) to win tonight. Trofo agree should wait to see lineup first, but I don't see odds improving for my selections so yeehaw.

Outright odds on next EPL winner? Why, Liverpool, of course. And I love the odds: 76/10 boosted. Value right there;) Next best odds I could find on p2p is 5.6. Also booked early odds to win Champs League at 84/10. Going to be swimming in BTC in 2022 ha ha.

Arsenal a tasty 67/1;)
7589  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taproot lock-in FOMO is coming(?) on: June 02, 2021, 01:57:48 PM
Unless you're one of those who actually sided with the likes of Snowden who thought taproot was a bad thing for Bitcoin privacy -- in which case this would be a bad thing. Not that speculators care either way. Indeed, cue 2017 reminiscing when big blockers were saying Segwit was a bad thing too -- speculators, for all they're worth, will side with the "right" chain and that, for all purposes, is the majority.

Now that coincides with Marathon's abandonment of Bitcoin block censorship, so yeah, more points of FUD taken down. Nice.
7590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You basically have to believe that JPM is behind the sale on: June 02, 2021, 12:18:54 PM
Weird? You've not been following the news before this then. JP himself and his own bank don't often think on the same wavelength, and they've been saying and doing contradictory things with Bitcoin. Your conspiracy, unfortunately, isn't an old one. So if you actually believe in it, then you should be buying on their rumours and selling on their news.

All is fair in Bitcoin and war, bud.

7592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 02, 2021, 11:13:45 AM
I was thinking to do some Yolo bets today but even on accas the odds don't interest me for names I don't recognize. If I get time, again live betting on players trailing by a set.

Perhaps we will hear this in the future though, at least Osaka come up clean with her reasoning and hope that she can recover and be back in the tour in the next slams.

She already has, and her own professional peers are generally supportive, though I think Martina actually said it would work against her, but oh well. I've seen this year and last year young professionals in football actually retiring from the sports because of all this media pressure (and the hate that comes along on them and their families) so it feels sad but such is reality. And people don't want to talk about, making it worse for those dealing with it.
7593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 02, 2021, 06:44:36 AM
Ey we came kind of close, Bulgaria actually led first but then allowed a goal in 27th minute, then happy to play the entire game out without ever scoring after that. Yawn for yesterday's friendlies, all but one were draws.

2 upsets let's play for shall we, both at Sportsbet?
100 units on Scotland to WIN vs Netherlands @6.60. Other odds: 6.55
100 units on Georgia to WIN vs Romania @5.70. Other odds: 5.60

Total units advantage: 15

Running advantage after 363 bets: +24,288 (+15)
All-time cumulative: +62,686
Running units after 361 bets (59W|302L): +14,515 (-100)
7594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This dip is PROOF that "I wish I would've bought Bitcoin at X price" is nonsense on: June 01, 2021, 03:22:48 PM
Buying in 2020 or 2012 doesn't make anyone an expert. Besides, experts wish the same too, you know.

Who is that one man that you are talking about though? Well, if you had bought bitcoin when it was around 1$, you are definitely rich by now. Also, there's nothing wrong with people wishing what they could've done in the past, it's called hindsight.

Maybe he's talking about Trump. I don't know, I've been needing to follow Twitter but too busy TikTok-ing with sharks.

Hindsight. What we've all got in spades.
7595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: June 01, 2021, 12:20:39 PM
I've sent Harkorede the prize money with a little extra, sorry Harko I did a cheeky 1 sat/byte tx but it's RBF so I could have speed it up if it was urgent -- ended up confirming within the next couple of blocks haha. I'm such a skimp, I know, but I do love testing the limits of BTC network, been trying to "break" my 72 hour record for confirmation this year. "Disappointed" it happened so quick, not bad less than 8 cents fee huh?

I'll put up the same amount (0.005 btc) as a starting sponsorship bid for next pool =D That'll be worth at least double next year, right guys?Wink
7596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Price Chart - MUST SEE! on: June 01, 2021, 11:00:01 AM
I love TA that is completely arbitrary and without any scientific basis =) They're much more fun anyway.

I have to point out, though, that a rainbow looks like this (from wiki):

So if this arbitrary chart proves to be correct, none of us posting in this thread will be as pleased as the guy in the picture in around 25-30 years (if the top of that rainbow happens within 5 years?). I would be, quite literally, in tears, actually.
7597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's addressable market on: June 01, 2021, 10:26:05 AM
People who don't understand it or over optimistic about Bitcoin, would say Bitcoin will take over fiat currencies, gold, bond, etc. and become a universal payment method. It won't reach to a time like this, personally.

Yeah, I think only the most severe maximalist still sees a complete displacement of current monetary systems. Certainly, money evolves and is updated through tech, even Bitcoin may get reversioned as something else (though not in our lifetime I believe), a bit naive to think that the pace of technological development won't maintain and result in discoveries that will necessitate a re-engineering for Bitcoin (or money, in general).
7598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 01, 2021, 09:25:50 AM
Trofo, Medvedev straight set victory in the end haha so ouch for pairing that with the Thiem upset! No problems though, I actually still have a Djoko outright so maybe I won't end up being so disappointed.

Just catching up with the Osaka news too. Pretty disheartening to read about, though to be honest, I always thought media were a lot nicer to tennis people than other sports.
7599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 01, 2021, 08:17:30 AM
Nope. Not good, both games ended up as draws. Consolation for not choosing the underdogs, as would have lost, as well? Friendlies, so I'm going to pick a slow start for Slovakia.

100 units at Fairlay on Bulgaria to win to nil in first half @5.60. Other odds: 5.20
Units advantage: 40

Running advantage after 361 bets: +24,273 (+40)
All-time cumulative: +62,671
Running units after 360 bets (59W|301L): +14,615 (-100)
7600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: May 31, 2021, 06:49:21 PM
Duly took the bet, but it was only a card and a corner by the 25th minute, so things were heading for a push at that rate, when I stopped following =)

Checking back at half time and they managed to more than double the points tally to 5 (3 corners + 2 cards). Are we on track for the lowest points ever in a game...? I'll check back tomorrow hoping for a surprise. Cornervaganza!
