It seems not much people pay attention on Atletico Madrid and Leipzig match , this could be easy money when you are a die hard Atletico Madrid fan and looking to bet for them to win Leipzig on moneyline.
Straight outta lisbon!

Atletico has two positive tests in their team, but it's yet unknown if staff or players. Odds are already going south for Leipzig, which might be a bit of an overreaction. But since they didn't publish the names, it might be players, because you could easily reveal the names if it was "just" staff. There is also the possibility of more individuals getting tested positive in the upcoming days (incubation time), so I would be very careful with betting on Atletico Wink
Maybe Leipzig will even advance to next round without any play, if there are more cases.

With the last game not looking too good either, except for tyKiwanuka. Cheesy

Hehe, yes, got lucky there, but I was out already before unfortunately.

Good performance from 3 of us, but won't be enough imo. Leaderboard is showing 6 users with 9 correct picks and it's missing the Rosenborg & Flamengo game I would assume. At least one of these users will surely have Rosenborg win, which puts him at 10 then.

See you next weekend Cheesy

Gratz @bitmutiny Smiley

Standings after 7/8 tournaments:

The players in red can't qualify for Grand Final no more, bitmutiny is already qualified. I think @arallmuus and me are already qualified as well, but not 100% sure.

Our new probably regular player and Bracelet winner @kolloh isn't too lucky until now, still no point finish, but it was close today with 11th place Wink
My jinx-magic didn't work this time and @figmentofmyass keeps his point streak going with 9 in a row and counting.
As sadly expected, @BitcoinGirlClub ended his participation streak today and we are down to three (Betwrong, Trofo and morvillz7z).
764  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Win any BlackJack Hand | Strategy Calculator on: August 09, 2020, 05:30:43 PM
I doubt such a calculator would give a good output. I have never used any such script but for blackjack I doubt a script would get you a good result. Why not someone would depend on themselves? Wouldn't that be good. I guess you are being deceptive.

It's just the best possible strategy you can have while playing BlackJack. Good result ? If you call losing as few as as possible a good result, then these scripts make sense, since they do minimize your losses. But you will never be able to be a winning player with them, because the house always wins this game Smiley

OP posted this mainly to advertise his site with affiliate links (which is fine) Wink

Wundert mich, dass Radix wieder zurück (im Forum) ist, nachdem sie bereits vor zwei Jahren ihren Abschied verkündet haben:

We gave up on bitcointalk looooong ago as it devolved into more of a pump-n-dump cesspool.

766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football in China - The Chinese Super League on: August 09, 2020, 01:10:43 PM
Problem is, the longer the season goes, the more you lose your edge up until the point, where there is next to no edge anymore. The bookmakers have more and more data available, there are no secrets and surprises anymore. And I am not that delusional to think that I can beat the bookies without informational advantage.

For example Chongqing in first game; they had zero foreign players available, because they were all still in quarantine. Bookies didn't know it or didn't bother to price it in. Now teams playing against Chongqing are only allowed to have two foreign players on the pitch, but they can sub fresh ones in etc., so huge advantage. And you have a lot of these little things in the beginning of a season and they make a huge difference. So pre-match you will struggle more to constantly find good bets as the season goes on, but inplay is the way to go in any league anyway imo.

-

Chinese Football is very special, if that makes any sense. You have big quality differences even inside a team and the chinese players often rely a bit on the foreign player to make things happen, like "you earn 5mln, me only 500k, so go ahead and show you are worth it". All offensive play is heavily impacted by the often brazilian players who earn their money there. The chinese players are mainly for defending and they are doing quite a good job. You have these fast, versatile and never tired players on the wings and in defensive midfield, plus some 1.80m+ centre backs, who defend the air very well normally. So the foreign player struggle through the middle and high balls into the box are often defended well, since most teams don't have tall strikers. It's very different dynamics than in european football for example, where the teams are more homogenous.

evergreens?

Cheesy Grin I found no better word for our four heroes who sat down at the tables for 22 consecutive times.

ummm, you forgot my name. Roll Eyes

I think 23pts might already be enough to just qualify; you will probably get thrown out of Top9 only because of tie-breaker. If unsure, just play afk, which proved to be a safe way to get 1-2 points^^
768  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: August 08, 2020, 10:42:01 PM
I am hoping for the following result for T7:

1. 1r0n1c
2. BitcoinGirlClub
3. efialtis
4. Trofo
5. Iv4n
6. Globb0
7. jayce
8. Improved
9. SyGambler
10. morvillz7z

Why ? Because it would make for a great last tournament Shocked

I fear we might lose one of our evergreens tomorrow and will be down to 3.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 08, 2020, 07:49:55 PM
@morvillz7z has a nightmare of a MM this weekend, you need some better tricks to get the better of the jinx-God Grin rdbase also not lucky with his picks so far, while ralle14 (you can only win 100mBTC max), Trofo and me are doing ok-ish, but better to prepare for next weekend already. JanpriX and buwaytress still in the race, but not sure, if on top. If you win, you will both only win 150mBTC max though, since you have exactly the same picks. But good luck anyway Smiley

This time we found consensus on five matches btw (Juve, Perth, Jiangsu, Sp. Moscow and Rosenborg).

Melbourne Victory trounced on Perth Glory 3-0 just an hour ago so my 160,000+ betslip is a dud. Embarrassed
Don't worry all of us had Melbourne as well.  Grin

They even lost 0-4 (92.min) Grin

I watched that Nagoya - Urawa match and that was fun. 5-0 at half-time already, 6-2 FT Cheesy

I just thought of something. Why don't we run some internal tournament in this thread and we'll use our MM picks to select the winner from it. We'll be doing this on a weekly basis (as long as we have MM). What do you think?  Cheesy

I thought about that as well, but it's a bit weary to organize/run and keep people interested. You would need to have 5+ users joining the pool regularly to make it worthwhile and I don't know, if this possible longterm. But I would participate, if someone organizes such thing.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 08, 2020, 05:10:49 PM
In general, there are a thousand ways to be a good bettor. It requires a lot of dedciation, patience and time, which a lot of people do not have for various reasons.

But if a person is betting on horse races, does the person need to know a lot about horses and horse races or can one be a successful bettor based on other things (for instance, choosing a certain strategy based on the odds or simply reading what others say about an upcoming race)?

Knowing your stuff is always better, but you can also make money with some more "technical" betting, like Caan Berry does for example. Dude has no clue about horses, but is very successful in pre-match trading the markets.

Is it about knowing how to bet or what you're betting on, what do you think?

It's about being able to spot valuable bets/spots (=what to bet). Add to it some discipline and a proper money management et voilá (=how to bet).

And do you think betting something a person can become good at or is it that there's a low probability of there being people who bet successfully on a regular basis and these people just exist?

I think this can be learned, but some people will have a hard time because of their temper. Most people lack in discipline and patience. You don't have to be perfect in all realms, but if you struggle a lot with discipline, then you will never be successful.

Money.

Skills doesn't matter if you're playing at a 50-50 basis.

I have read this multiple times and tried to understand what you mean, but didn't get it. Can you eloborate what is your thinking behind this ?
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 08, 2020, 03:45:17 PM
@tyKiwanuka

I guess there will be no october Party in this year. Or did I missed something?

I don't think there will be one this year; my comment was more a general one, since Bayern is always super strong during these times. Otoh if concerts from Sarah Connor are possible during these times, you never know Grin
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 08, 2020, 11:12:18 AM
Have an all-favs parlay still alive. Much of the same tonight?

I think these odds for Bayern are extremely poor considering a) Bayern doesn't need to win and b) they are out of competition for over a month now. You could see in EL with Leverkusen/Frankfurt/Wolfsburg that these teams were not super sharp and even ran a bit out of gas in the end. Now Chelsea isn't super strong, but Bayern could live with a draw here in which is most likely a better friendly match at hot temperatures even in the evening. 1.80-ish for Bayern would be more reasonable imo.
773  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Hot Coins on: August 08, 2020, 09:49:59 AM

774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 08, 2020, 09:21:31 AM
wow after a shitty restart for Schalke 0 and being at the bottom of the table considering only games after restart, they have to face the indestructible Bayern. What a bad luck!

Is it better to play Bayern in first round or later on, maybe even during Oktoberfest ? I would always choose to play them in the beginning of a season, where they are still more vulnerable and have to find their rhythm. You can only "win" at Bayern, because nobody expects you to get any points there. Playing a freshly promoted team is way worse imo (more to lose, unknown team, normally super motivated).
775  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: August 08, 2020, 09:08:45 AM
KQs is a very strong pocket pair, in my opinion.

I don't think so, but depends a lot on the overall circumstances of course Smiley KQs looks nice, but when you go all-in, you would have to consider which hands are likely to call your all in. You aren't favourite against any hand that has an A and any 55+ pocket pairs:

Source: https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tools/odds-calculator/texas-holdem

Of course you might also get called by KJ, KT, QJ etc., where you are strong favourite, but more often than not, you will also find yourself up against AK, AQ, high PP, where you need a miracle then. But each players has his own style and some lucky charm hands he likes to play, so there is probably no right/wrong here. I would like to see a flop first with KQs unless I am short-stacked, desperate and have to gamble Tongue

(...) but not from @FOMA, who, based on my observations, usually starts playing only with good cards, and when he goes all-in pre-flop, you can bet he has something extremely good. Smiley

Yep. But with <10BB you will also see non-premium hands then just like from every other tight-ish player.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 07, 2020, 09:05:11 PM
Good start for most of us, but I guess 90% of the users had home wins for both, so nothing to win here - only to lose. This is the first time in ages that I have the Friday pick(s) correct. @morvillz7z @JanpriX where are your picks ?

777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football in China - The Chinese Super League on: August 07, 2020, 02:02:02 PM
Wuhan - Shijazhuang / Wuhan -0.25 @ 1.79 3/10 2-1
Qingdao - Shanghai SIPG / Shanghai -1.75 @1.70 6/10 1-1
Heibei - Chongqing / Hebei -0.5 @2.05 4/10 2-2

Poor round with a poor SIPG, who thought they could easily win this and were just able to get a draw with a late penalty after being down a man in second half.
Wuhan was pretty good, should have taken the -0.5 here. I like Shijazhuang though, think they will play a good season for their standards.
Hebei were ahead 2-0 already until 74th minute, but Chongqing was able to make it 2-2 in the closing stages. Odds were a rollercoaster here pre-match and also inplay. Thats the difficulty with CSL, so much going on personnel-wise and information is hard to find.

-7.63 for this round, +6.50 for the season.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 07, 2020, 01:45:39 PM
66 player have opted out of the season after yesterdays deadline passed. I think the teams might lose some more players here and there in the upcoming weeks and during the season. I sorted them division-wise, taken from here:

AFC EAST

New England Patriots: LB Dont'a Hightower, FB Dan Vitale, RB Brandon Bolden, OL Najee Toran, WR Marqise Lee, OL Marcus Cannon, S Patrick Chung, TE Matt LaCosse
Buffalo Bills: DT Star Lotulelei, CB E.J. Gaines
Miami Dolphins: WR Allen Hurns, WR Albert Wilson
New York Jets: OL Leo Koloamatangi, LB C.J. Mosley, WR Josh Doctson

AFC NORTH

Baltimore Ravens: KR De'Anthony Thomas, OL Andre Smith
Cincinnati Bengals: DT Josh Tupou, OT Isaiah Prince
Cleveland Browns: G Drew Forbes, T Drake Dorbeck, DT Andrew Billings, G Malcolm Pridgeon, OL Colby Gossett
Pittsburgh Steelers: none

AFC SOUTH

Houston Texans: DT Eddie Vanderdoes
Tennessee Titans: OL Anthony McKinney
Indianapolis Colts: LB Skai Moore, DB Rolan Milligan, DB Marvell Tell
Jacksonville Jaguars: EDGE Lerentee McCray, CB Rashaan Melvin, DT Al Woods

AFC WEST

Kansas City Chiefs: OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, RB Damien Williams, OT Lucas Niang
Denver Broncos: DT Kyle Peko, RT Ja'Wuan James
Las Vegas Raiders: DB D.J. Killings, DE Jeremiah Valoaga, LB Ukeme Eligwe
Los Angeles Chargers: none

NFC EAST

Dallas Cowboys: CB Maurice Canady, WR Stephen Guidry, FB Jamize Olawale
Philadelphia Eagles: WR Marquise Goodwin
New York Giants: OL Nate Solder, WR Da'Mari Scott, CB Sam Beal
Washington Football Team: LB Josh Harvey-Clemons, DE Caleb Brantley

NFC NORTH

Green Bay Packers: WR Devin Funchess
Minnesota Vikings: DT Michael Pierce
Chicago Bears: DT Eddie Goldman, S Jordan Lucas
Detroit Lions: DT John Atkins, WR Geronimo Allison, C Russell Bodine

NFC SOUTH

Carolina Panthers
: LB Christian Miller, LB Jordan Mack
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: OT Brad Seaton
New Orleans Saints: TE Jason Vander Laan, TE Cole Wick
Atlanta Falcons: none

NFC WEST

San Francisco 49ers: WR Travis Benjamin, OL Shon Coleman
Seattle Seahawks: OL Chance Warmack
Arizona Cardinals: OL Marcus Gilbert
Los Angeles Rams: OT Chandler Brewer

Think it could have been worse, apart from NE of course and the Browns lost a couple of O-Line players, but I am not very familiar with them; in general O-Liners opted out the most (maybe due to being overweight the most ?). There are 22 voluntary opt-outs, 8 high-risk and 36 with no reasoning given. Bring the season on, I am not opting out Tongue
779  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: August 07, 2020, 10:35:35 AM
I'm too overcautious.

Well, as we all know, there is a huge difference in going all-in and calling an all-in. I remember you going all-in with KQs in middle position with middle of the pack stack, which looked a bit desperate (for no reason). Webtricks called you with Ax with his monster stack and you won, but this play wasn't overcautious Cheesy This is the interesting psychology with Poker - reacting to aggression and being aggressive yourself. You folded QQ in a good spot and had a Hail Mary all-in with KQs in a (I think) bad spot.

It's similar with Hhampuz when he has lots of chips and triples the blinds nearly every hand Grin You fold better hands than he has, but what can you do; the power of chips Wink
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2020, 10:09:00 AM
Tell me how much the price for these clubs to win the Europa League?

I found on stake .com

@28 for basel
@63 for copenhagen

Always best to check at the exchanges:

Source: https://orbitexch.com/customer/sport/market/1.159523041

Also interesting to look at possible SF here:

Inter/Leverkusen - Donezk/Basel

ManU/Copenhagen - Wolves/Sevilla

Copenhagen stands no chance, they would have to beat like ManU/Sevilla/Inter back to back to back, which is not possible for them imo Smiley I like Inter, because Leverkusen are donkeys and were a bit rusty after longer break, plus they always fail. SF against most likely Donezk looks very doable then.

That Basel game was so annoying yesterday, if you jumped on over 1.5 and over 2.5 inplay Grin Basel wasted so many good opportunities on counter-attacks and the few times they didn't, there was always Trapp. This game could have easily gone over 2.5 even at 0-0 in 75th minute, but nope.
