I was wondering, why not start this project in Moskou instead of New York if the majority of your team is from Russia?
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DAO PlayMarket 2.0 - App Store based on the blockchain and smart contracts on: November 05, 2017, 11:18:54 AM

I can see why the app store market is interesting to invest in. According to this article https://techcrunch.com/2017/03/03/u-s-consumers-now-spend-5-hours-per-day-on-mobile-devices/ people are spending a lot of time on their apps. In the US, 5 hours a day  Huh

''The time U.S. users are spending in mobile apps is continuing to grow; according to new data released this week by analytics firm Flurry, we’re up to 5 hours per day on our mobile devices. This follows on news from January that said the time spent in mobile apps had increased 69 percent year-over-year.''
Seriously, 5 hours a day spent on mobile devices? That's insane!  Shocked

That's really insane but I didn't surprise by it.

Now all the young people on their mobile always. Playing texting etc. But they are always using them one way or another.

There are always new exciting applications coming out so im not surprised its that addictive. PlayMarket 2.0. just has to make sure they will offer similar diversity of apps on their platform to keep the customers interested.
5 hours a day looks insane to me that info can't be right. I don't even know how people can have so much free time every day.I mean if you go to university or work, you prepare the food, you make the purchase, ... 5 hours a day seems excessive to me.

Yes it does seem excessive to me too, but I do believe it. I think people watch less television and spend more time on their phone. And its spread through the day, also most people use their phone while they are working. I think its a brilliant idea to focus on the app market.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 05, 2017, 11:13:58 AM
By the way, just stumbled about a German article in which a social network called “fancy” got mentioned. It seems it is a French social marketplace platform. Does someone has experience with it? Is it good? I would like to know if there is demand for something like Soma.

I had a look on fancy: https://fancy.com/ It looks pretty interesting. If this is how SOMA will look like, it is really promising. You can read the background of seller and like products
I havent heard it before, but its not bad  Smiley
Hopefully soma will have better design and interface, also cover more social media like instagram (fancy doesnt cover instagram)

I dont think instagram will have a future. The facebook is allot better with its AI and algorithms. Lets see what SOMA will offer.

I dunno man, facebook's users have steadily decreased their content output in the last years. sometimes people just get sick of one service and start using another.

I am personally using less social media because I really do not like ads and on Insta and Facebook I just keep seeing more and more ads. So I hope SOMA can be an ad free platform, that would be a huge plus.

The minimum funding goal for the Gatcoin project is $20 million USD. Does anyone know how much they raised and if they hit the soft cap?

Yikes, I somehow overlooked that. Looking at some other projects it seems currently hard to raise more than $5 million. The days of Tezos, EOS and Filecoin are definitely behind us. At least until the fork.

I hope they adjust the budget and continue. They have a great product and vision but it is not that easy to raise 20m$ in this market. Maybe 20m $ is just a target but not soft cap for them. I believe after s2x fundings will improve but still 20m $ is looking too high to reach.
Dont worry about this, they still have so much time, the ICO will end on January 15th, 2018, its about 2 months from now.
They will have a demonstration app and im sure it will attract many more investors.

Why does the token last sale so long? Does anyone know this? Did they foresee that the fork would be causing less sales?
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 05, 2017, 09:37:16 AM

One of the fastest growing exchanges...

  • 👤 More than 120,000 users.
  • 👥 30,000+ daily active users.
  • 📈 Trading Ethereum, NEO, Gas, OmiseGo and more.
  • 💰 Over $11 million daily trade volume at peak.

Additional exchanges and more exciting news coming soon, so stay tuned! 😊

All the best,
Your UTRUST Team

Official from KuCoin:

I looked at the volumes on this exchange. This is 10 times less than, for example, on yobit. It is good that the token is added to the exchanges, but they are small and do not yet cause trust. Will adding to the exchange with large volumes and good reputation?

Well it’s a new exchange, normal that the tradin volumen is not high yet but they look promising and I think a lot of people like the dividend function so that they will get bigger trade volumen with time.

People seem to really like kucoin exchange. When something is a hype, it will not take long to get big. When Utrust is listed, I am sure more will follow.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PLAYKEY: DECENTRALIZED CLOUD GAMING PLATFORM on: November 05, 2017, 04:58:53 AM
How will the game be implemented on a smart TV.

If they sell 50M PKT tokens or more they will make apps for Smart TVs.

More details in WP page 20

I have google chrome not a smart tv, will that also work? A lot of people in the world can not afford a smart tv, but they can afford google chrome because they have wifi and good enough tv. So playkey can reach much more people

I think even after the fork, those golden days of massive hype ICOs are gone now. Not only are there more regulations and crackdowns, I think a lot of the newbie investors who have been burnt by ICOs have learnt their lessons.

I hope this project will continue even if they don't hit the soft cap. Gatcoin is one of the few ICOs I am really excited about and believe in. Loyalty cards are so outdated, I hate to carry around 20 cards from merchants so I never do, but I always miss the discounts. I know I am not the only one, so Gatcoin is really something people need. The idea of targeted airdrop is just genius. So this project must go on, hope they can lower the soft cap.

Do you have any issues with the US-law? As far as I know there are some issues currently with participants from the USA

I had a look on their team and I dont see any lawyers. They can always consult of course, but lately I have been seeing in some ICO's that team members sometimes include lawyers.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 05, 2017, 04:41:58 AM
Why can not I see the result of ICO? how many% of the coins sold, unlike the initial ICO we can see the percentage of sales ..
I think it's better
Does "Tokens to be distributed" isn't visible from your side? It's the result of ICO. Currently more than 416million tokens have been distributed to all investors from 1billion supply (850million is the max total of ICO offering).

Edit : they had used % as ICO result, but they changed it to total tokens which have been sold.

They should also show how many days are left for the token sale on the front page. Because I remember it was really short and people might not know it.

Yes at least 10 restaurants isn't a problem. We already made good connections for last two years of development and testing

Does your platform already work, or do you only have the demo that we have seen on the website? Since you state that you are already working for 2 years on this project, do you already have agreements with restaurants?
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 04, 2017, 08:23:19 AM
Yes the patent process is really interesting, it’s seems to be users friendly and its the most important things for that kind of project, soma platform will have a lot of users with a nice design and a simple utilisation.
Let's hope they will have an app which is easy to understand because that's most important to attract new users.

If the ICO is successful, they'll have enough money to do so, I've no worries about this.

yes right. soma already collected good money for start this project without worry. but we want soma achieve maximum hardcap.

that doesn't seem possible with the coming fork. money will start flowing after that.
]
I heard this from many people, it seems like everybody is expecting that everything will go up after the fork, am I correct?
Does this mean that people will be unlikely to invest in ICOs, like SOMA token sale?
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 04, 2017, 08:18:41 AM
I would like to remind everyone to hold their coins after the ICO;

''Burning of tokens
The main incentive to buy and hold tokens however is the burning mechanism. Over time, UTRUST plans to burn a total of 90% of all tokens in circulation, taking them out of circulation permanently, thus theoretically increase the initial value 10-fold.
UTRUST charges a fee of 1% on every payment. Up to 20% of this fee (so up to 0.2% of every payment made with non-UTRUST tokens) is being used to buy back tokens from partnering exchanges at market-rate and send them to an address that nobody owns, making them virtually untouchable, even for UTRUST.
This mechanism is limited to up to 50 million tokens every year and stops when only 100 million tokens are left in circulation. Note that UTRUST says “up to”, so the amount burnt is not guaranteed. Nuno (CEO) clarified this by stating that the amount will be adjusted based on the total UTRUST transactions made, to burn an average of up to 50 million throughout every year.''

What this mean: Dao Playmarket 2.0? They had 1.0 version also?

Maybe it means the Google play market is 1.0 , the Dao Play market is the 2.0 version.
Yes, you are right! Googleplay is 1.0 and our project is DAO PlayMarket 2.0

Don't you guys afraid of legal issues about this? They can sue you and they can show this post as a proof also.

I really dont think Google would bother to sue a small start up like dao playmarket. I think most people dont even realize that 2.0 is a comparison (I didnt)

Hey,

I read through your whitepaper fast now, because I don't have so much time, need to do it later again.
Is your terminal just for crypto-based payments or also for fiat payments?

Ready for fiat right now and we will implement crypto

Will you make your own crypto payment gateway our use some payment solutions like utrust?

I expected to find the answer in this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vfB0qUA3EN0RNpZeBMlZvKDayIN8jLMBbyTGBXK19is/edit
Title is Fiat-To-Crypto Currency Gateway, I went through it, but it doesn't explain  Huh

So hope we will get a reaction from the team to this question

That's amazing they raised somewhere 16.5m $ in ico such a short time with this market conditions.

Regardless how bad the market is good projects always find a way to get success.
Their performance is really impressive. I'm curious what will happen after listing Utrust on exchanges Wink

I am afraid for a huge drop in price, but I am planning to hold my coins for the long run. It is very difficult not to sell when you see the price dropping. But I holded before with amazing results, so lets see
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 04, 2017, 06:14:59 AM
In my opinion SOMA need to ask specifically to the people who has invested so far. Maybe send a pool through mail

This is a good suggestion. Investors should have more rights than non-investors. I also agree that the price should be higher than ICO price

Fortunately, we already have Japan as a starting point, now we would go for Asia, the platform will be ready early, so the value of the token will rise fast, then consolidate and demand will be steady the more the platform is online, this will be really HUGE Cheesy.

SK Planet Japan is also active in Korea. But you may be underestimating the size of Japan. There are 127 million Japanese citizens. I do not know how many stores they have in total, but in this article 260,000 stores will accept Bitcoin. SK Planet has a network of 170,000 stores. So there are at least 90,000 more stores in Japan they can expand to.

I'm not sure they need bitcoin-accepting stores for getting used. Also, we are not sure about all of 170000 stores of Sk Japan network are accepting bitcoin.

But we know one thing that, Japan is the best way to start this kind of initiative.

Japan is definitely a good place to start, I read in this article mentioned above that people in Japan are familiar with electronic payment

''Electronic money is popular in Japan. In addition to cash payments, some of the most popular electronic payment methods are Suica and Rakuten’s Edy, which are rechargeable contactless smart cards. While Suica is accepted at about 380,000 outlets and used as a fare card on train lines in Japan, Edy can be used at 470,000 locations nationwide.''
