761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best of GTX 1070s on: December 04, 2017, 12:16:18 PM
you should buy from a site where they have a good return policy, you buy the cards, you test if it's Samsung, if not, send it back.
But this way you'll never get to keep a single card since all 1070s come with Micron now.  Cheesy
That's how I got Samsung models for all my cards.
Have you recently bought any 1070s? Or are you talking about 1060s? It's a lot easier to get Samsung ram with 1060s, still plenty of them out there. But not with 1070s, not anymore.

Actually hard to get samsung with regular 1060s anymore also.
Ive heard the P106-100 have samsung memory now; regular 1060 is now Hynix (at least where I live)

Bigjee, yeah P106-100 has Samsung memory, I've tested MSI P106-100, OC is very good.

762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 04, 2017, 12:09:52 PM

Why using driver 382.53?
They are the best? Now i have the last one drivers and they working fine

Hi preda, I'm just lazy on updating nvidia driver, and the SSD I used for testing is from another rig. There're few rigs I update to driver version 385.xx but the hashrate is mostly the same.
I heard that driver ver.373.06 is one of the best, but when using P106 mining card, I have to use later one.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profitable Mining on: December 04, 2017, 05:55:54 AM
Any guys to mine coins on the site miningpoolhub?

yes I'm there mining XZC and VTC. The pool's statistic and notifications are quite good.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 04, 2017, 05:49:46 AM
Shibob:

At the price you got them that's a much better deal than almost any card at this time. Though I think you just won the silicon lottery since most cards can't clock that high and mine with stability for a prolong duration. Still those are really good numbers.

Hi GordoLui, Thank you very much!
I'm not sure that I'm lucky or not, but most of the cards in this package (a group buy with 400 GPUs) achieve about the same performance. Hopefully we could run them with high stability, actually these tests just in more than 3 days, and we tend to reduce a bit OC, even though I think hashrate should be reduced not much.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 04, 2017, 03:30:35 AM
Just curious how long some of you run your miners before rebooting, etc.
I finally have mine pretty stable as it is a new rig, and it's been running 24hrs now and still going.  6 1070's at 2771 Sol/s average now.  Sometimes it goes over 2800 Sols/s

All 1070's are about 472 Sols average each.

Sometime my rigs self reboot after 14-16 days of running maybe due to window update. For me, I reboot them after each 1.5 month for cleaning.
By the way, your hashrate is pretty impressive. My MSI 1070 seahawk could reach only 448sol/s at 140W power limit, core: +50, mem: +40.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 1060 vs 1070 vs 1080 vs 1080Ti on: December 04, 2017, 03:18:55 AM
My experience is the following:

For ETH, the GTX 1060 3GB seems to be the best. I get 24MH/S for 75-80W (for around 200$) while with a 1070 I get 32MH/S for 90W (for around 400$).
Now if you want to mine ZEC for example, the result will be different, a 1080TI would probably be a better option.

You seems foolish buddy. GTX 1070 8GB card can be produce the 32 MH so you will be able to more income that card alone but if can get the electricity more cheaper in the sense we can make more money with that bro.
Performance wise alone 1080 8GB card is better than 1070. You can check in any site you will find the information states 1070i is the best card to mine.

I'm not foolish, it's pure math. You'll have a faster ROI with GTX 1060, on the long run you'll earn more with the GTX 1070. Today 1 GTX 1060 can generate 1.65$/day on ETH while a GTX 1070 will deliver 2.2$ (in the current conditions). At that rate you need 121 days to break even on GTX 1060 while it would take 181 for the GTX 1070 (that's almost 50% more!) and this is without taking power consumption into account because the gap will grow bigger. The GTX 1060 has a better MH/s per W.

When mining you need the fastest ROI because nobody knows until when mining will be profitable. The time to be break even will increase with difficulty increasing so it's not getting any better.

Totally agree with you, klintistwood!

I've just purchased some P106-100 mining cards to test and really satisfy with the performances and I'm going to build a new mini farm with this card.
Each MSI P106-100 mining card costs around 251$ and average hashrate is about 25.1Mh/s. My 8 cards rig consume ~760W.
As I estimate, basically each P106-100 could earn ~1.9-2$ per day on mining ETH.

The test with 8GPUs, test's duration: 86hrs: Power Limit: 65%, Core: +46, Mem: +740, average hashrate: 25.05Mh/s.

767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 04, 2017, 03:06:34 AM
It's hard to buy more RX480 and RX580 now. So I purchase some P106-100 mining cards to test and really satisfy with the performances and I'm going to build a new mini farm with this card.
Basically each MSI P106-100 mining card costs around 251$ and average hashrate is about 25.1Mh/s.

The first quick test with 2 GPUs, test's duration: 16hrs: Power Limit: 65%, Core: +0, Mem: +950, average hashrate: 25.2Mh/s.

The second test with 8GPUs, test's duration: 86hrs: Power Limit: 65%, Core: +46, Mem: +740, average hashrate: 25.05Mh/s.

768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig #2 ordered on: December 03, 2017, 06:51:17 AM
Good luck Nathan! It looks like you put 2 rigs at home right? If it's the case, is that  suitable for using server PSU? I heard that it's very noisy.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.6 (Linux / Windows) on: December 03, 2017, 06:40:30 AM
I am using v0.5.4 version of miner and now try v0.5.6 and cant seen any difference in cpu usage.
And speed of mining are as i can se almost same.
Look like need some work on cpu consumption becouse other similar miners use take lower usage on cpu.

For my test, I did see a slightly higher hashrate for GTX 1060. But with 1070, it looks like the same.
By the way, It's more stable when I use ver.0.5.6 and update window 10 to ver.1709 Fall Creator. With ver.0.5.4 and window 10 ver. 1703, miner was unexpected closed many time.
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 03, 2017, 06:34:22 AM
Just finished a quick test yesterday with few rigs: 8x MSI P106-100 6Gb. I like the design, and price is reasonable with ~215$/GPU.

Stock setting: 21.5 Mh/s
At OC setting: Power limit 75%, Core: +0, Mem: +700, the hashrate of each GPU is very stable at about 25.5Mh/s.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Windows 10 1709, AMD Drivers, and Afterburner on: December 03, 2017, 06:25:00 AM
Has anyone tried one of the previous 4.4 beta versions? Do any of them work?

No, none of the Afterburner versions work with the Crimson Relive 17.1x.x drivers on Windows 10 v1709. The blockchain drivers work with v1709 and Afterbuner, but it causes the Windows UI to become unresponsive, so I rolled back to the blockchain drivers on v1703 and it's working fine.

I faced the same problem. Afterburner was hanged whenever I clicked on it. But with Window 10 ver.1709 and Nvidia latest driver, it's working fine.

773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][preICO] CCA - REVOLUTION IN THE WORLD COMPOSITE CYLINDER MARKET on: December 01, 2017, 01:08:13 PM
Is there any plan for Bounty program? I think until now not much people know about CCA.
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what is more profitable? on: December 01, 2017, 01:37:15 AM
With 4000$ budget, you're able to build 1 rig 6x1070 Ti to mine many good altcoins: VTC, FTC, ZEN, ZEC, XZC, LBC, KMD; or pay a bit more for 12 x RX580 or rig with VEGA 56 to mine ETH or XMR.

I'd go for XZC, it'll grow like crazy during the next period - you can mine around 0.7 coins daily with a mid-range nvidia rig.
Good sig btw Tongue

Yeah you're right. XZC price is going up, I think because it's in the way to add masternode, now they're building server for that.

776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus GTX 1070 OC or Palit GTX 1070 on: November 30, 2017, 05:01:29 PM
Hi Nguyen, good to know a Vietnamese here!

I never used Palit so I dont know about that GPU. Zotac is a good option for me. Asus could give high hashrate but it's quite noisy and not good at ventilation. So for your references, all GPUs I'm using now are (I list them in order of most to less satisfying): MSI, EVGA, Zotac, Galax, and Asus (Asus just for P106-100 only).
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why people are using nicehash? on: November 30, 2017, 04:47:34 PM
Because it's quite easy. Dont need to consider which coin to mine, dont need to do much researches as well. And please note that even when we do researches carefully, there's no guarantee that we're in right coin. Also the profit comes quite regularly. And as you see, the BTC price is still a way advance than altcoins. So, Nicehash in somehow is a good option for someone. But for me, I prefer using GPUs to mine altcoins rather than Nicehash.

779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Japan's Internet Giant GMO Launching Bitcoin Mining with 7nm Chips on: November 30, 2017, 06:58:39 AM
I'm not sure how about their miner's stability and it will last how long. You know for mining, the machine has to work with heavy load in 24/7/365, so is 7nm is quite dangerous for that?
7nm means they're staying among the state-of-the-art chip, even Iphone X chipset is fabricated in 10nm process. So it looks like havent not much chipsets were successfully developed in 7nm yet.

Actually with 7nm fabrication process, GMO's miner should be consume less power and give much higher speed than that of current Bitman's product. Yeah, as they estimated 50,000 chips to deliver a total hashpower of 500 petahashs per second (PH/s). Based on all these, if they are going to sell machine, I would like to buy at 2nd or 3rd batch with at least 6 months guarantee.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which SSD would you choose? on: November 30, 2017, 06:47:43 AM
A, B and D all are ok I think. Currently I'm using Lite-on and Intel SSD as well, and as you listed, these price is quite cheap. As I remember I got to pay around 54$ for Lite-on in B.
